Day of Remembrance

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
"I suppose that it keeps us from being complacent, yes. The Force knows that I'd hate to be bored and retire from all of this!" She rolled her eyes at herself and then half wondered if she would even reach retirement age, or if she would die young.

There was a good number of things to think about for the future, such as how long would she be able to keep her Force abilities hidden? Would she get kicked out of the Senate? Or is just being near the Sith without trying to kill them enough of an excuse to lock her up? Only time will tell....

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos simply smiled and chuckled a little. "Imagine if there was a sith retirement home." He said with a smile before he laughed a little at the thought.

Kay put her hand over her mouth for a moment to stifle her own laughter. She removed it of course before speaking. "By the Force what would a Sith do in retirement? Torment their caretakers? Become slicers for the holonet?"

[member="Darth Erebos"]

"Probably play holo-chess with their medicine on the line." He said with a smile as he was trying to control his chuckle over the thought of a sith retirement home, and a few choice sith as old people in said home.

"Oh yes, and have temper tantrums whenever they lose.." She had been trapped inside a fake mental institution once before, yet that horror would pale in comparison to working in a Sith retirement home.

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos had to hold one hand over his stomach as it was starting to hurt from all the laughter. "S-stop hahaha I can see it too vividly now." He laughed as in his mind he was seeing two of the voices argue while exceptionally old in his mind.

"I can just see it all now. They'd be sitting on a porch in their chairs, complaining about how the younglings have it easy, and how they had to really work for their positions when they were younger." It was nice to get in a good laugh. And it was funny to even picture it. But it begged the question, what do Sith do when they retire anyway?

[member="Darth Erebos"]

"Probably that and delve into some form of sith ritual to try and retain their youth... involving prune juice and oat meal." Erebos then chuckled, to be honest though he had never heard of a sith retiring only die before reaching old age or dying out of of old age. those that died of old age simply became less active though he did remember that count Dooku was around 80 when he died so he must have been at the retiring age for humans at that point.

Kay stopped laughing for a moment as [member="Darth Erebos"] brought up Sith rituals. It was possibly some kind of Sith sorcery or ritual that was partly to blame for her husband's death. The other part to blame was her stubborness and defiance. "I have read stories of Sith that defied death and old age by spirit transfer. Maybe that's a reason why there are no retirement places for the Sith..."

Erebos's smile turned a little close to a frown though not fully. "That practice is something we call transfer essence... a practice that very, very few of the sith know about and a skill that keeps eluding me as well." He began before he simple sighed and moved one hand over his forehead and then stroked it along all the way back to the back of his head. "The reason there isn't a retirement place for the sith is simply because the one sith eats us up and tosses us to the side when it's done with us, Which is why I want to destroy that order once and for all." He said as he seemed to grow a few decades older then, The order of two as it had been named was the superior order in his eyes, an order which distilled the so called evil of the galaxy into two vessels instead of a veritable army of calamities as the one sith was.

The conversation had taken a serious turn. She furrowed her brows. "Is that what the One Sith did to you? Did they just use you and toss you aside? How could they ask for loyalty from their members if they in turn are not loyal to them? It makes no sense...But then again I don't live or think like most.."

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos shook his head. "No that isn't what the one sith have done to me, I have however seen some of the older members been used up like that. Loyalty comes with power, prestige and influence while the down side only begins to rear it's head once you're becoming weaker with age. Part of me is glad I'll live around two or three centuries now.." He said though that last sentence he simply mumbled to himself.

Kay frowned a little thought of people being discarded because of their age instead of being treated as the wise beings that they were for having lived so long. "That's sad...I don't think that I could ever treat someone that way. But then....that's just me. I don't live like others do, or follow the same rules."

[member="Darth Erebos"]

"Well it is true that some of the old sith are venerated those that don't make it to lord hood are mostly discarded, however." He then said as he had to admit the jedi and [member="Lady Kay"] for that matter did have quite the way of life and how they treated others, at least it was one beyond Erebos in the end.

She nodded, her mind of course always busy thinking of different paths that one could take, different circumstances and consequences, though she could hardly be counted on predicting anything correctly.

"And what is your future with them, if you don't mind me asking? You spoke of destroying them earlier, but to what end? And how?"

[member="Darth Erebos"]

On this Erebos had to think a bit. "Well what I do want to destroy is how the sith simply seem to destroy. There is little rhyme or reason sometimes to their wanton destruction just for the sake of expansion is.... well frankly wasteful of lives, resources and in my opinion most of the time just cruelty for the sake of it. The sheer wastefulness of their actions is just time consuming and most of the time simply annoyingly simplistic strategy is employed. As I see the one sith as now, they lack finesse all of them bellow those very few at the very top and even some of the voices, hands and eyes are well... idiots. In this regard the rule of two is superior, the more sith there are the more chance there are for delusional moron's to enter it while the two sith was limited to two and only two sith and those two sith were brilliant. They understood patience, finesse and long haul strategy on a level that I severely doubt I ever will, it is the main reason I respect them so.
If my want to destroy the sith comes from anything I believe it might be the same dilemma Darth Bane had two millenia ago as well. A sith divided against itself through sheer overwhelming stupidity is weak and will only cause wanton destruction." He then said seemingly turning annoyed in his expression but with a loud exhale he turned calm once more, he was quite happy that he had mastered cold rage to this degree the ability to have an uninterrupted mind not influenced by emotion or such things, just simple logic and reason above all but every once in a while the sliver of emotion slipped through the cracks in the walls of his mind.

Kay almost hugged herself as he spoke, picturing the type of powerful Sith that he spoke about. She had encountered one before. "Limiting the number of Sith is a good idea....But I would be very nervous about those that would remain. The one that killed my husband and tormented us has been alive for a very long time. He is patient and wise, knew strategy very well. Every time we tried to thwart him, tried to break free from his grip, he was a few steps ahead of us. Even now that he appears to be gone, he's probably just waiting for the right moment to return. I hope that it doesn't happen in my lifetime..."

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos's morbid curiosity about the sith, [member="Lady Kay"] was talking about almost slipped in through the cracks in his mind but he knew that such an individual would be best left found on his own and as far away from Kay's ears and notice as possible. He could easily see what even the thought of the sith in question ran shivers through her mind, he could feel it just from the small distance between them. "I haven't heard of this sith you've just spoken of but he sounds like a rule of two sith."

Kay-Larr

"Most likely he is. He didn't like me very much as you can imagine. I kept the Darkside from completely taking over my husband. Yet outright killing me wouldn't of had the affect that he had wanted. And as he couldn't have Shaw, I'm guessing that he wanted to be sure that I couldn't have him either...."

She dropped her arms again and made herself stand taller, trying to convince herself, not [member="Darth Erebos"] of her next statement. "I'm not going to let it happen again."

Erebos smiled a little at [member="Lady Kay"]'s last statement. "Coming from you I can believe that." it was a show from her but he could see it was more for herself than for him.
