Maybe I'm going to sound a little mean here, but I feel I have to be a little honest on the matter.
You know not to be much of a joy kill on these matters. We're seeing a lot of mercs, and very few people actually looking to join either group and actually participate in the story. I appreciate a good mercenary as much as the next, but to me I don't think good story will depend on either one group or the other getting discounts more or more people to pay to fight with large sums of money. Especially when it detracts from the people fighting for their causes telling their stories if most of the people applying here only want to work as mercs and aren't actually fighting for either faction,
To me the work being put into this is to tell the story of rebels fighting an Imperial Element once again, feels really disrespected when I don't think I've seen one person tell Genevieve or a member of the Remnant that they were looking to join up, which was what the first post of this thread was asking for. All I've seen are people making offers to take advantage of the chance for themselves without the investment.
Like I said I'm not being mean, I'm not disrespecting merc characters. But the idea for a classic story was not meant for a bunch of mercenaries to come in and show off to win battles, and it feels upsetting to see that's the majority of the response.
