Does the Real World around you know you are a Nerd....and RP?

No one knows I write. But they do know I play video games so I just roll it all up in one go. I do have a younger brother who actually follows the board but he doesn't write or want too. He likes to read it and actually gets away with calling it his "outside reading" or whatever.

Other than that the only time I shared it with someone I lost a girlfriend. Oh well she sucked at life anyways! You are all my dirty little secret.

Feel special <3

Stark raving silly
Most of my friends know, and I have at least tried t o convince them to join one or two relevant sites. My co-workers probably wouldn't get it, save for a few of them, but it's aparrent to them I'm pretty geeky.

Just cause I'm curious to see who is upfront with their Star Wars collaborating roleplaying writing adventures.

Or are you that Jock at work that no one would ever believe even knows the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars? ( ahem @[member="Jonathon Patches"])

:p
Those are pretty bold words there, Miss @[member="TiCira D'Arr Hawk"] . BOLD... WORDS...

I DENY EVERYTHING!

...

They don't believe me... they really don't, whenever I try and talk video games or Star Wars... they think I am just trying to fit in with the "Computer Nerds"...

Almost seems like I live two separate lives in a way. People in my daily life aren't the type to be nerdy- some are, but the majority isn't. I value my SW friends more.

It took almost a year for me to come out of the roleplaying closet so to speak. I did IM and Instagram Marvel roleplay and I was kind of embarrassed, but then I found this place and told @[member="Meraal Vaun"] and @[member="Tallia Farn"] about it so now I don't feel as awkward :D

Grand Lord of the Tribe
I don't live in the same state as any of my family, so no issue there. My coworkers don't need to know anything about me other than I do my job, and all my friends are nerds anyway, just depends on what they're nerds about. But no, no one knows about this terrible(?) secret.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Family? My sister, but that's it. Almost convinced her to try it out when I saw her last, but didn't quite get there.
Friends? My old roommate, and one of my friends who tried to get me into DnD. I was like "Nahh, I waste too much time doing this." and showed them flowcharts for alchemy plans and other shenanigans.
Mostly? Not a clue. I mean, most people are aware I'm a nerd, and know more about SW than most people should, but the whole writing bit isn't something I share. If someone asked I'd probably tell them, but if not then I don't really see a reason to bring it up. I'm also afraid that if I do bring it up I'll go into a rant about a cool thing I did here or there, and become that awkward dude that talks all the about his achievements in a fictitious universe. Because I could totally become that guy, and I'd rather be that fellow.

Kitt Solo

Alen Na'Varro's Ex
Nope.

Just my roommate.

And ONE other friend that I already regret telling.

No more!

But I can't claim I'm a closet SW fan. Now most of my real friends know that about me because of how much I'm talking about Halloween and my ewok costume. And maybe going to a comicon. *gasp*

I've been doing this since I was about fifteen. Everyone knows. The majority of my friends these days are people I know through roleplaying. I've never tried to hide the fact that I'm a raging nerdosexual. :p

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Most of my people know I enjoy writing, and have seen my nerdy side on several occasions.
However, none of them know about RP. People tend to be judgmental, and those who I have heard talk about RP always make it into some weird sexual thing.
So, no. No one knows I enjoy doing RP. Because I've been judged enough in my life for mistakes I've made. I'm not planning on being judged because of something that allows my to be free, creative, imaginative, and write to my heart's content.
So my little secret it shall remain..

Oh yeah! I almost forgot! Daily rant, over! :D
