Does the Real World around you know you are a Nerd....and RP?

Family : Yes, they know. They also know I'm a huge nerd.

Friends : Yes and no. The geeky ones(the majority of the friend quota in this case) completely understand. Many of them tabletop game or do things such as WoW. The others have zero clue and I have no desire to fill them in. I am not hiding anything, I just find telling non-nerds about my hobby leads to too many questions and confusion. Its easier to merely say "I write for pleasure", which is true.

Coworkers : No. A few are beginning to realize I lean towards the nerdy side, as I have mentioned my comic book collection on social media. For the most part, no one realizes I am a nerd, which is very very odd. I certainly give off the vibe. Quite a number of them know I take off each year for DragonCon(yet can't seem to make the geek connection). Honestly though, I keep much my personal life to myself at work, save for a select few I work closely with.

1st Recon: "The last thing they'll never see"
Yep.

Yep.

Yep.

Anyone around me for a few hours will probably note my nerddiness, rather it be because of my NCR/Empire/and or Cthulhu t shirt or because of a quote I pop out.

I stopped getting bullied in middle school, when I started slamming heads into lockers for mouthing off.

It's never been an issue after that. :D

Nineteen now, going to community college to be a welder so most of my friends aren't really "nerdy" per sea, beyond say... a Supernatural level of nerdom. I've gotten them into a few things though.

Does your family know? No. I was abandoned when I was ten.

Do your co-workers know? No, I just work there.

Do your friends know? No. Friends are a liability. I have no friends. Only 'tools' to serve a purpose or function.

Does your significant other know your deep dark secret? Yes, she likes to read it, too.

Or are you that Jock at work that no one would ever believe even knows the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars? I'm the guy at work that intimidates people because I have a tendency to outwit them and my superiors have a low tolerance for my logic most of the time. I am quite hated for being 'different' from the ordinary person.

If not, why haven't you told them? They don't need to know.
