That was the advantage of Sith politics. These types of situations were common enough to plan around them, or at least be prepared. He had hopped there wouldn't be a bomb, but it had been there none the less. It was disappointing, but at least there was no more threat. He looked to Valery, giving her one nod. "We'll figure out a plan later, yes. Home for now."

Amani's hand did wonders to relax his shoulder, but not his mind. Still, he leaned into the connection, bringing up his palm to rest on her fingers, even as his expression barely moved, watching for Kahlil's answer.

"If there were, your wife wouldn't be able to go home."

The way the Shield phrased it made Alicio frown momentarily. But then, he fully processed the words. "So... no." Alicio let out a breath, untold fears leaking out along with it.

He remained quiet as Valery ran to embrace her husband, already thinking a few steps ahead. Not looking into the future, just... thinking. "Mm," he responded to Val, the tension quickly returning to his shoulders. "Call soon. This isn't a thread I want to leave untied for long." For obvious reasons.

Probably shouldn't bring the kids here, Alicio conceded with a grim look.
