Dreams of Fire - Chapter 2

" Wo iv j'us kash nenx zhelosa "

He responded back to Serena, lifting himself up from his cross legged meditation and taking a step off the massive cliff of the temple gliding down with the force a few hundred feet down into the sand while the heretical sith that scavenged the temple outskirts parted a path through the sands leading him to the site of the tomb of Adas, a tomb he had bartered with warlords to keep hidden and protected from prying eyes...

He decided not to use a speeder, he decided to walk through the barren sands of the Korriban to the tomb of the ancient king while the axe upon his back pulsed like a beating black heart. His hair blew furiously with the wind and the black cloak of the sith beat like a flag against the wind as he made his way forward. Dune after dune, the path to the temple seemed endless, yet after a long arduous trek he found himself at the highest sand hill overlooking the tomb, the very sand hill his Tuk'ata Groom had taken up when he arrived here the first time with Serena... he was anxious to see her... Even if just to make love in the temple ruins or to find themselves in each others eyes once more... yet this companion she brought... he beamed light out of him... the light of a jedi.

His black core lightsaber ignited in a snap and hiss of it's blade and the hood that covered his eyes only made his two beaming yellow eyes come alive in the full blown sun of Korriban. "nu zinot tevolijas "

Were all Sith the same? All the ones he met. He had trained with some in the past, sure, but they were… well they were the Sith that he had to hunt. “Never met one that seemed safe enough to keep alive.” Sure, for him to get rid of them, it meant he got into a location and called down the fury of others, but that was how Coren worked. Slow the battle until it was in his favor, or bring it to his turf, which meant get someone when they were on the move.

Looking at Wren, though, he immediately regretted what he said. He didn’t want to hurt the blonde explorer.

Following her direction. “What did you all find?” That was when he heard the snap hiss, and the pilot reached for a blaster. Of course he did. But the Force was calling to him, and wrapping around him. Coren was not without his most powerful ally.

The Sith may have had the emotions, but Coren was part of the Living Force. He knew what he was doing here.

“Some welcome.” He shot at Wren, surprisingly in a joking manner.

“An old Sith King, one who was quite successful at it. The tomb holds many mosaics of life at the time, it’s the find of a lifetime for a archeologist.” She sounded proud of having been part of it.

Animus’ words that one of them was not welcome, and then the very dark I have arrived.

She looked nervously over to Coren, “he’s wasn’t like this before she whispered. She turned back to look at Animus as he strode forth to meet them. His words did not reflect the sensitive man she knew and met on Korriban, “Animus I’d like you to meet one of my very close friends, Coren.”

She could see that he had ignited the lightsaber. She reached out to put a hand on Coren’s upper arm much as she would a friend to hold him back.

“He’s come to help me with the nightmares, the ones that are slowly draining things away. He wants to help” Her voice almost pleaded with him not to hurt her friend.

“Won’t you please talk with us?” She waited, what would she do if he didn’t stand down, would she now have to choose a side between them?

She was more confused than ever by now. Her mind was able to successfully block out many things that would keep her from realizing how much corruption had seeped into her.
