Dust in the Wind

Jeela opened her eyes and began studying the place. It was a strange place, that was certain. She gave a slow nod, slowly circling around to view it more carefully. "I had not had known that such a thing as this was possible before." She pressed her lips together, reaching out to the Force, sensing what was around them. "What answers do we seek here now, Master Ike? Or which questions have we come to study?"

Matsu was glad she was willing to learn and pay attention, that would go a long way as the jedi master walked. "That is part of something I have been working on. The temptations here are for great power and infinite knowledge the ability to become what the old gods were. We are merely looking for the things they have left behind. We are looking for an ancient library to head to... the ancient library of Derem. There is a holocron there we are looking for."

Jeela followed, listening carefully, but also reaching out in the Force, curious as to how this new world felt through the Force. So they sought a holocron. That was a worthy goal. Had others come for it though? Or was it unheard of? She looked around, glancing behind them to check to see of they were being followed.
"Do you have much information on what the holocron holds? Or is there little record of that left?"

"Yes, the holocron was created by a strong jedi master from before Ossus fell the first time. He moved many things to save them to the city before it was submerged and created a holocron to detail the old information. We're going to find it and perhaps with some work recover some artifacts for the silver jedi." Matsu had a smile though on her face while she walked a little. "This is also a way to find each other across great distances. The realm beyond shadows nearly anywhere in the galaxy comes here to a world with statues from the earliest civilizations possibly."

Jeela nodded, awestruck by the age entailed in that phrase. She could hardly even imagine such a distant past, back before the Jedi had fully formed as they existed. This was truly an ancient holocron. What information might it tell of the past and what they had no known?

The second part was just as fascinating. "So of two people wished to communicate in secret, they could travel here, even while on other sides of the galaxy, to speak, and then return? Are there limitations to this ability" She walked silently for several more moments. "Which civilizations dwelled here?"

Matsu looked at Jeela and she wasn't sure on that. There were the mind walkers who came here, the ghosts of those long dead who could appear and talk. "This world, this realm is something not many know how to reach. The counting is how it is done with focused meditations. Seven breathes and you will find yourself here but there is danger. Time has no meaning and your body can be hurt without you knowing. it is why you should never stay longer then needed but yes if two came here from across the galaxy they could speak and return to their bodies."

Matsu though had led the way to the entrance of the cave and she spoke more. "This though leads to a pool, when one bathes in it they can learn the secrets of the universe. If one drinks of the font of water opposite it they gain the powers of the force to a degree no one has seen. It is considered a curse that bestows the ancient ones, the old gods powers upon someone. To be able to live beyond the trappings of the universe and be the force, not just part of it but be in full control. A temptation many might try and abuse."

"But now we have to head back and you Jeela need to wake up." Matsu brought her hand out to tap Jeela's forehead and wake her up as she disappeared and felt the growing hunger in her stomach standing there in the jungles of Voss.

Jeela nodded, a slight frown on her face as Master Ike described what treasures were nearby. Those were great powers, and honestly, she didn't want anything to do with them. Although, she would be able to do great good with those, if they didn't destroy her first. It was likely for the best she didn't know how to arrive here on her own yet.

Her eyes widened as she felt the tap on her forehead and the world shifted back to the somewhat familiar jungles of Voss. She blinked several times, trying to understand what had just happened, but then gave up and accepted it. She wouldn't be able to understand many ways the universe worked, but that didn't change the fact that it did. She would have to learn to accept it.

"Master Ike," she began, trying to express the thoughts that raced within, "I will do whatever I can to aid you in finding that library, if you wish. In just this short time you have shown me more of the Force than in my entire time training as a Jensaarai, and at was my entire life."

Matsu gave a nod looking at the girl and at the jungle as she gave a nod. She had one willing to help and started walking back towards the ship of her own while listening and spoke continuing to lead the way. "Thank you for that and make sure you eat, traveling to the realm beyond shadows can take a toll on your body. You will need to keep your strength up."

Then she was finally back after some time to the hangers and entering the vanguard prototype ship as she gave a small tour around the ship. Showing the bunk where Jeela could sleep, her room and the food processor. She was setting the coordinates and a vertical hyperspace jump was not something everyone used. Finding the companion galaxy was something you had to be careful with.

Jeela nodded, and pulled out a nutrient bar, making a wry expression. That would tide her over for now. She changed her mind once they arrived at the ship and saw the food processor. It had been a while she had had real food. Or food more real than the nutrient bars. She would get some later. Her legs were only slightly wobbly.

She returned to the bridge, and hung near the edge, "How can I be of assistance?"

Matsu continued to pilot the ship as she left Vosses orbit and looked at the stars. Turning to jeela and motioning to the co pilots seat she smiled. "Just sit and relax, we have what we need and prepare for the jump." Matsu continued to check her numbers and jerked the ship once they could reach the distance needed for hyperspace. A vertical jump up while she looked at the stars and reached out with the force. Then starlines and they were headed for the string between here and companion grek.

Jeela nodded, and strapped herself in her seat. It was strange, honestly. She had arrived on the planet only a few days ago, and it seemed like she was leaving once again. But, that had been her life for a while now, so perhaps not as strange as it seemed. This was where the Force had led her after all, and she was not receiving any more prods or nudges to tell where to go. This was an unusual hyperspace jump though. Se had not heard of one being done from a planet's surface. Nervousness bubbled up through her, and a limp formed in her throat.

Matsu continued to look at the starlines, hyperspace sickness was not something she believed in but she couldn't deny some people just went crazy as the hours ticked away and the starlines gave way to blackness. The first step of getting out of the galaxy was there an Matsu looked at the rest of the galaxy. From above the galaxtic plane as the companion galaxies trapped in the orbit of the larger one spun and the sight of the Rishi in the distance as they turned. "It is a quiet place, this void... In times past some ancient things were kept out here, the jedi used to keep a prison suspended over a black hole to house the most dangerous in the galaxy hidden away. Others have used the planets caught in orbit to house dangerous species, criminal activities but right there. In the Rishi galaxy there are secrets yet undiscovered. Not many will see this or understand the meaning behind it. The hyperspace barrier around the galaxy protects us from dangerous beings." Matsu kept the ship moving until she had a proper angle and set the course doing another jump towards the planet of Kamino.

Jeela's face paled. What could be so dangerous that the Jedi thought the only way to lock them up was outside the galaxy near a black hole. How had they even managed to do that? The ancient mastery of the force was practically mind-boggling. She was glad, really, that the barrier was there now, even though she had not given it much thought before.

"We're going into those dangerous areas, aren't we?"

That sent a shiver down her spine, but she set her jaw. This was where her future led, and it was her duty to perform, and she would do it to the very best of her ability, and then some more so. Do everything with excellence. This was why. Excellence led to excellence, and a high quality of work in one area led to high quality work in others.

Matsu gave a rocking of her head both saying yes and no to the question. A practiced skill while she gave a small smile. "A little, it isn't as dangerous as some places but under Kamino's glassy surface is a world of gliding monsters. We are going under there is a sub and to ruins as we need them. There are suits for this we will be using and cases." She looked at the blackness as they were in hyperspace and there was many things around the galaxy that was still a mystery.... even to her.

Jeela tilted her head slightly. That was both an answer and not an answer. She had a hunch at would not be the first time it would happen though.

Being underwater though. That would be a new experience for her. Would it be like space travel? Or atmospheric flight? Or something entirely different, since water far denser than air, and certainly denser than vacuum. How dark would it be? Dark as space? As colder as space?

She tapped on the console and pulled up information on Kamino, scanning it quickly.
"Will traveling below water feel like the Force did on Voss?"

"It will fell different, your actions will be heavier as you try and move but the resistance is not much. The suits will make it so you barely feel the pressure but make sure you pop your ears as we are heading down." And then they were there, the Rishi maze and a quick jump to Kamino, the time seemed to go faster while Matsu set the coordinates for one of the large cities and it was sunny. Often times she had come here it was rainy and storming. Now it was clear skies and she looked out the ship's view window. "It really is a beautiful place." Getting to the city had them able to disembark and Matsu put on a bodysuit she could wear under the water suits. The thick and bulky things were large even for her and they had a great deal in the submarine with them. "Alright make sure your ready and remember to equalize yourself, squeeze your nose and blow for a few seconds."

Jeela nodded and then sat in silence for the rest of the trip, dozing off unexpectedly and then waking with a start at the arrival at their destination. She wiped her eyes, and gave herself a small shake. Time to be alert. She quickly pulled on an oversuit and pulled on a dive suit. She shivered, suddenly aware of what they were about to try.

A shock ran up her spine. This was it. She was in and committed.

Matsu sat in the sub as it descended and as the depths came she equalized her ears several times. Down deeper and deeper until they were starring at the closest ruins to the surface of the planet. THere was many things here in the dark as she watched the glass and the pilot brought the sub in close. Matsu checked Jeea's seals and her own while speaking. "Use the force to keep calm if you feel claustrophobic and there is plenty of air for the sits. We have nothing to worry about."

Jeela equalized the pressure in her ears again. She had almost been doing it constantly as the pressure mounted and mounted. The words sank in, and Jeela almost wanted to smack herself for her foolishness. She settled into the Force, and the high tension in her nerves decreased, replaced by a calmness. This was better. How did non For e users cope with things like that? She glanced outside into the water again, and frowned.

"Are we seeking anything specific or do we search for information in general?"
