Anyone interested in an expedition to Exocron?
My character is primarily an archaeologist, so his story hook for joining the Kathol Outback is that he wants to study the history of this region. My thought is that he's in pursuit of whatever happened to the colony ships that the Old Republic sent to this sector, in search of the mythical world of Exo.
This thread could lay the ground work for a future dominion, or just further expand of the lore of the region.
Locations of interest include:
Jorj Car'das's Fortress is the most well fleshed out and detailed location here, and is basically a mansion built into the side of a mountain. It could form the basis for a number of uses. A research hospital, Jedi Temple, "Outback Embassy", or even [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]'s other, other, other summer vacation home.
Caballa City, the capital of Exocron
Rinatta City, which has a landing field. Landing platforms are referred to as "Circles" rather than "Docking Bays" (e.g. Circle 15)
In terms of Chaos Canon, Exocron featured as one of the worlds visited by the Moross Crusade. Here's the most pertinent thread on that I could find. Which means that there could be a strong religious presence, or strong opposition to anything resembling a Moross Crusader (such as a Jedi or Sith, etc). If anyone has more information on what the Crusade/Lords of the Fringe were doing to develop Exocron or any lasting plots that we could build on, I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'm assuming its a largely blank canvas for us to fill in.
[member="Lydeck"] if you're still interested in being a member of the Alderaan Queen crew, would this interest you?
And [member="Bryce Bantam"] if you're looking for Force Training, this could be a good location for some of that.
And, anyone else that's drunk enough to venture off the map with a ship operated by a pair of kids, feel free to sign up as well.
As background, the planet was developed for use by the Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplements branded The DarkStryder Campaign, which followed the adventurers of the New Republic Ship FarStar.Exocron was a garden world, covered in forests and mountain ranges. The planet was hidden inside a protostar that threw up a cloak of radiation and sensor-jamming static. Much of the Kathol Outback were unaware of the existence of the planet, and it did not appear on any official starcharts of the region. However, legends persisted of a fabled, hidden world.
