Special Features: Listed As;
The Listening Post - Takes up Sections A and B, housing First Order Security Bureau agents, Naval Intelligence, Cryptologist and other intel/security related officers, non-commissioned officers, the enlisted and contracted workers. The Listening Post is the most notable feature with the prominent satellite that sits on the top of the stem, this satellite enables the Listening Post to active a long range communication array which enables the station to actively listen to both allied and enemy communication, but at a depreciating rate of return.
The Combat Information Center - Takes up Section C, this is where combat for the sector is monitored and coordinated from. The Command Center, housed in Section D rounds out the CCC, or the Combat Command Center where tactical, security and strategic operations officers work together to ensure the safety and defense of First Order space. The CCC also houses station security, sector patrol coordination and starfighter corps command operations for the station and the surrounding sector.
Residential Rotunda - There are several Rotundas throughout a Galidraan-class space station, there is Rotunda Epsilon, Rotunda Indigo and Rotunda York. Each one takes up two sections, and houses civilians, officers, non-commissioned officers, the enlisted and other personnel who will be residing on the station. Each Rotunda also offers amenities to those who reside here including, hygienic care centres, laundry services, fitness facilities and holofilm theatre suites.
Promenade - There are exactly two promenades, one in the upper portion of the stem and the other in the lower. Each one houses a commissary, recreational lounges and other businesses that are contracted to serve the First Order and her citizens. A promenade takes up exactly two sections.
Engineering - Perhaps the largest portion on any given station, engineering takes up seven sections. Engineering his housed in the base of the stem going up. Engineering is also where parts for the station and ship repair are housed, manufactured and fabricated.
Shipyards - Not so much external as it is internal, capable of housing most corvettes and frigates, the shipyard can service two-three vessels depending on their size. Equipped with worker drones and a droid workforce, FOCIE can make repairs to even the largest of Star Destroyers, although those ships would have to stay parked outside of the station.
Medical - Taking up four sections, the medical sections of the station are generously equipped to serve the needs of the population surrounding the station, as well as, First Order personnel.
Logistics - Takes up two sections, and primarily houses the cargo and loading bays with smaller offices for logistics management throughout each section.
The Hangar - Takes up six sections, and isn’t just the hangar, this also includes the flight deck, a tower control centre and fighter maintenance bays.
Sector Traffic Control - Another two sections devoted to maintaining sector traffic, with at least half of it devoted to just traffic around the station. This section coordinates heavily with the Starfighter Corps.
Stormtrooper Garrison - Room enough to keep a minimum of two platoons, the Garrison features a blaster range, combat training, leadership training and other Imperial Army educational facilities to keep the men and women on their guard.
Maneuverability Rating: 20
Speed Rating: 20
Hyperdrive Class: 1
Strengths:
[+] Sector Anchor: As a sector anchor, the Galidraan-class station is a focal point. It is where each sector's fleets are based out of, where their brass is and where they come home to. They'll resupply, rest and recover here at these stations between patrols and assignments.
[+] Rallying Point: This is the rallying point for each sector and all the systems that belong to said sector, vessels, troops and other military equipment and personnel will come to the sector station should a wide invasion occur to help repel the would-be invaders.
[+] Coordination: Sector traffic control is housed here, giving this station the ability to coordinate with the Navy within the sector, assuming these ships are within range.
Weaknesses:
[-] Bullseye: The Galidraan without a doubt is a huge target, just due to the sheer size alone, this means it will be the target and focal point for attacks and would-be invaders.
[-] Multiple Entries: Unfortunately given the importance of the station, there are multiple entry points leaving the station vulnerable to invaders and those who are able to sneak aboard, who can do a lot more damage from the inside than they can out.
[-] Subterfuge: Given that a station of this magnitude and size is what it is, those who are willing, may find a way onto the station in a number of ways and sabotage her defenses from the inside and possibly get to several key areas without ever being noticed.
[-] Hackable: The Galidraan-class station being that six were made, all have similar if not the exact same type of coding, crack one station and you've cracked six stations and can possibly bring down six sectors, which would leave the First Order Navy even more vulnerable to attack.
[-] Explosive Engines: With seven sections worth of engines, one well-placed shot through the exhaust will cause a domino effect of explosives, wrecking the station from the inside out.
[-] Expensive: The Galidraan is not without it's costs, this station alone has stretched the First Order's resources to the brink, there can never be, nor will there ever be a project of this magnitude and scale attempted, ever again.
Description: After Castameer, the First Imperial Navy had to take a long hard look at its own defences and their naval capabilities. With two stations already under construction and a third on the way, the Galidraan-class station was built to serve as a sector anchor. With that said, the construction already done now had to be undone and reorganised elsewhere. Given the massive proportions of the Galidraan, there will only ever be six of these sector anchors built.
Should the need arise to have another sector anchor built, the First Order will create a smaller station in its place. The project dubbed Project Kalast has already fallen behind schedule twice and is pushing to try and finalize specifications very soon. Admiral Fiolette Yvarro, Grand Moff Natasi Fortan, Captain Nils Brenner and Senior Chief Petty Officer Jennifer Rennic have all been heavily involved in the Galidraan’s final specifications.
These sector anchors are large, cities in space, capable of resupplying, various fleets assigned to the sector. And to do speed the production on at least one of these stations, FIS Hexham and FIS Merton will be decommissioned and their parts sent closer to Dosuun where the FIS Avalonia is to be built. The FIS Kuragin is well underway, and the other stations are as follows: FIS Levinson, FIS Grantham, FIS Carmichael, and the FIS McGovern.
