First Order Pre-Factory Workshop

[member="Max Fel"] Were you still planning on making this, Max? I second 888; good work on the armour, the image is cool but I much prefer the normal FO stormtrooper style. Would be great to have your updated armour, expand on the FO-01 feature set (e.g. with the magboots and jump pack compatibility) and maintain the same look.

Also, it seems like duranium and thermal gel would offer a respectable amount of kinetic protection, at least going by the wiki. Maybe add some duraplast as well?
I have actually defected to the Remnant, however I will see about posting this for the First Order, as I made it for this particular faction.

Typically requires development: Below 1 for a small vessel with a low armament.)
Speed Rating: (The lower the number, the faster the ship. How fast is your ship in normal space? How fast can it take off, how fast can it speed through a planet's atmosphere? Please provide your vessel a Speed Rating on a scale 0-20, with 0 being infinite speed, 1 being crazy fast like the Millenium Falcon and 20 being slower than the Dewback. Typically requires development: Below 1 for a small vessel with a low armament)
Hyperdrive Class: (The lower the number, the faster the ship. You may use decimals. (Minimum: .5 | Max: 10.) Average Hyperdrive Class: 2 Typically requires development: Below 1. Links: Hyperdrive, Hyperdrive Comparisons)
Strengths:
 • Jury Rigging: the TIE/lr contains a socket for a BB-10 unit. The BB-10 can integrate with ship systems to perform diagnostics and minor repairs on the fighter, so that it doesn't need to return to a base or docking facility in the case of minor damage.
 • Nerves of Steel: high-priority systems like the hyperdrive, life support, and navicomputer are situated and shielded in such a way to avoid damage from glancing blows from enemy fire, due to the ship's long-range nature, damage to the hyperdrive would prove almost certainly disastrous to the pilot.
Weaknesses:
 • Burden to Bear: due to the long-range nature of the TIE/lr, it is slightly bulkier than the average TIE Fighter, to make room for consumables like rations, and equipment like signal relays to communicate back to base, etc.
Description: (Describing your submission's history is optional. Please provide a detailed account or link of each special feature that is listed in this submission. All miscellaneous descriptive elements go here, such as Cargo Capacity, Passengers, Consumables, Crew, etc.. There is no requirement for amount of words here so long as you meet the minimum requirements for your special features.)

Special Features:

Speed Rating: 20
Hyperdrive Class: 2

Strengths:
 • Heavy Armament: The sheer amount of turbolasers of this ship alone is the equivalent of an entire starfleet of First Order ships, easily tearing through enemy starcruisers like a knife through warm butter.
 • Heavy Shielding: Even with hundreds of turbolasers, the battlecruiser still needs protection. The First Order engineers have installed a massive shield generator that could only fall under the combined fire of multiple star destroyers.
 • Command Ship: Invasions have never been easier, this ship has a full wing of TIE Fighters, as well as a hundred AALs. It also ferries an impressive ground force of walkers and even prefabricated garrisons.
Weaknesses:
 • Extremely Expensive To Produce: One of these ships alone costs billions upon billions of credits to construct, crew, and maintain, and that is not even factoring in its complement of starfighters and ground vehicles.
 • Blindspots: On the aft side of this battlecruiser, there is a minuscule amount of turbolasers, allowing smaller and larger ships to get behind and destroy its engines.
 • Slow Speed And Maneuverability: The price of turbolasers took a toll on the Resurgent, in the form of the fact that it moves and turns like a nerf.
 • Command Ship: Even with heavy amounts of turbolasers and shields stronger than Mandalorian iron, if this ship were somehow destroyed, the entire fleet would be sent into disarray, not to mention the millions of taxpayer credits now being a blasted hulk of space debris.
 • Overheating: The SPHA-T can only fire every so often, otherwise it will overheat and destroy the ship.

If you want to make a powerful weapon with the ability to cut a star destroyer apart you'll need to sub it separately. Otherwise it's just not going to get respected the way it should. I like the concept, which seems to be basically a compact version of the Nova Cannon.

Alternatively one could use a Proton Cannon, as found on the Immortals, but that's never been much respected either. And anyway the First Order could definitely use a good barrel consolidation weapon on the scale of some of the stuff the GA and others have.

The other thing I'd note is the lack of long-range weaponry. Yeah they're pricey but it's something the GA has a lot of (largely because they're most old protectorate ships and Ayden was one of the folks who made lots of long-range guns the fleeting meta for a time).

Intent: To give First Imperial garrisons a more uniform appeal.
Development Thread: At the judges discretion.
Manufacturer:

Model: First Imperial Pre-Fab Garrison.
Affiliation: The First Order.
Modularity: Yes.
Production: Mass Produced

Material: Durasteel, Duracrete, Alurasteel, Titanium.
Strengths:
+Strength In Numbers: The First Order believes in a show of force, and this base design exhibits that philosophy. Turbolaser towers supported by three Stormtrooper legions with mechanized elements means that.
+Siege Mentality: Due to its highly fortified nature, and huge garrison the base is ready for siege.
+Fixer Upper: The base doubles as a naval yard, which assists in the upkeep of the First Orders ever growing naval capacity.
Weaknesses:
-Isolated Ions: The ion battery created to defend the base is on the outside of its perimeter. If the enemy attacking it were quick, and fast, the ion cannon would be disabled without managing to slow them down.
-Isolated Storage: The storage for spare parts is towards the edge of the perimeter, and if the enemy were to attack from the north they’d go through this, destroying billions in taxpayers money.

Description: When the First Order Military Command realised that war with the Galactic Alliance was a near certainty, they decided to construct military fortresses across their holdings to fortify and hold onto their territory. However, in order to keep in step with the Order’s ideas of uniformity, the brass decided to have similar specs for each and every facility.

The bases would each have a simple list to tick off. The first would be the seven massive, gaping maintenance bays. Giant holes in the ground, for which the smallest corvettes to the imperial-x star destroyer would land and be able to have extensive upkeep performed upon it. Because of this, immediately as apart of pre-fabrication, there would need to be an extensive warehouse built to store the necessary parts.

Another important part of the base is the defensive network. Defensively alone, the base would have a shield generator capable of deflecting any bombardment, an array of sixty five turbolaser towers and forty two defensive pillboxes and bunkers, with ninety blaster emplacements. For longer range defences, an ion battery would be erected in the vicinity, but not inside the shield generator. This would be to ensure that the base would not be exposed during the batteries firing. The battery itself would have its own garrison of 4 turbolaser towers, and eight trooper defences.

Aside from defensive positions, the base would employ thirty thousand Stormtroopers to operate the base, and run security on it. These Stormtroopers would be housed in the main base, and would be supported by a small armoured element on base made up of twenty four AAP-VW, sixteen F4L-AW and forty Light Infantry Utility Vehicles. On top of that the First Imperial Starfighter Corps would supply the base with twelve squadrons of its fighters. Made up of six TIE/sf Mk2 fighter squadrons, three TIE/IN and three TIE/SK bombers. All these would garrison the base and be able to support nearby systems in the event of planetary invasions.

The final piece of the base to be talked about is the command centre. Situated in the middle of the base, the command centre digs deep underground to house Stormtrooper barracks, and the bases power generator. Sitting at its very top is the communications array which can signal the whole Empire for reinforcements should the planet be under attack.

Optimum Crew: 500 (Including Officers and Crew)
Maximum Crew: 700 (Including Officers and Crew)
Passenger(s): 16,000 (Stormtroopers + Support Crew)
Cargo Capacity: 20,000 Metric Tons
Consumables: 2 years

Strengths:
 • Command Centre: Once this vessel has landed, it can act as a combat information centre for combat troops disembarking and is protected from attack from its own dorsally placed armaments. Using its onboard facilities to feed and equip a Legion of Stormtroopers and repair damaged vehicles. The Reclaimer-class Military Transport can independently support a large-scale operation on a planet's surface alone.
 • Defences: The Reclaimer-Class Military Transport features some tough armour and above-average shields for a transport, permitting it to take a beating before being disabled or crippled. Included in its countermeasure suite is an anti-missile system which when activated causes incoming missiles to misfire, prematurely detonate or have any guidance systems/sensors disabled. This is an especially useful tool to have when landed when warding off hostile attack.
 • Hyperdrive Class: Reclaimer transports sport an impressive hyperdrive with a class of 1.0, allowing it to quickly deploy from the safety of First Order space to hot-spots across the Galaxy.
Weaknesses:
 • Lightly Armed: Reclaimer vessels are lightly armed when compared to their contemporaries. For example, they possess roughly one-third of the firepower of a Victory X-Class Star Destroyer, itself classified as a Heavy Cruiser. As a result, the Reclaimer requires an escort where contact with a professional Navy or heavily armed paramilitary is expected.
 • No Ventral Weaponry: Reclaimers completely lack weapon system on their ventral surface, creating a vulnerability to attack from planet-based cannons or flanking manoeuvres in space.
 • Negligible Aft Weaponry: The Reclaimers aft firing arc is left almost without attention. It's possible for it to rotate a handful of turbolasers and point defence cannons aft, albeit nothing that would inflict significant damage to another cruiser or heavy cruiser.
 • Lack of Fighter Complement: The second and somewhat crippling weakness for the Reclaimer class is that it carries absolutely no fighter or dedicated bomber craft, as a result. Beyond its point defence weapon system, the Reclaimer possesses no practical or effective point-defence system to protect against fighters. This also puts close air support out of the question for the troops who deploy from a Reclaimer without support from a dedicated carrier or other ship that carries fighter and bomber craft.
Description: The Reclaimer Class Assault Ship was designed and constructed with the fast movement of troops and material in mind. When compared to the Consolidator-Class Planetary Assault Carrier, the Reclaimer carries roughly half the amount of Troops and no fighters. But considerably more heavy material and equipment for disembarked Stormtrooper forces. The architecture of the ship itself is a copy of an ancient design, with the intent of being less menacing and more friendly to look upon when compared to other contemporary First Order vessels. The Reclaimer's massive cargo hold can carry 20,000 tons. Once the Reclaimer lands on a planet's surface, it can disperse its troop complement with impressive speed between the Assault Landers, Armoured Personnel Carriers and Walkers that berth in its great hold. When in flight and not landed, Reclaimers deploy Atmospheric Assault Landers and AT-AT Barges with vertical deployment chutes inside the ship.

Intent: To provide the First Order with a mass-produced, dedicated transport that sacrifices fighter complement for greater vehicle and
material complement in support of half a Legion of Stormtroopers.

Description: Prior to the Rebellion of Kaeshana the young First Order fleet had very little in the way of interdiction ships. A lesson learned after the fleet battle against the Galactic Alliance, spurred the Navy into picking up the Sondheimer-class. Named for Chief Engineer Shiri Sondheimer aboard the FIV Sloane who had perished during the Battle of Castameer or Omega Battle as it has now been referred to. The late engineer had been working on a blueprint, a cruiser that would enable the First Order to field more interdiction-type vessels.

Developed in Prosperia and Avalonia, the Sondheimer would be the first step in the new fleet project which involved an overhaul of most of the First Order’s main vessels. Combining older technology with new, the Sondheimer like her namesake would be versatile, efficient and lethal in both long range and short. In essence the Sondheimer works two folds, as a long range support vessel and alternatively as a short range brawler.

Outside of combat, the Sondheimer-class works mostly as waste disposal and in particular hazardous waste. The First Order Division of Science in conjunction with First Imperial Environmental Services (FIES) conducted a survey of the near one hundred systems within First Order territory. From emissions from starships, radiation and unwanted hazardous waste being dumped in and around populated systems. There needed to be a way to reduce the amount of waste and to properly dispose of it. The Sondheimer can perform this function with great efficiency taking any waste to the appropriate facilities and clearing up radiation, emissions with her own onboard equipment.

Fleet Admiral Fiolette Yvarro headed up the development project after stepping down from active fleet duty following the Rebellion. Securing her place as the go-to coordinator for fleet development, working alongside Grand Admiral Tregessar, Admiral Rausgeber and Captain Piett. Sondheimer-class will be produced at Rakata Beta, Yalara, Ryoone, Varonat and Coveway, with the namesake FIV Sondheimer to debut shortly from Rakata Beta.

Manufacturer: FOCIE
Model: FS-17
Affiliation: The First Order
Modularity: Yes
 • Over-barrel attachments
 • Under-barrel attachments

Production: Mass Produced/Minor/Limited
Material: Duraplast, miniature intertia dampener
Classification: Energy-coated slugthrower

Size: Handheld
Length: 89cm
Weight: 1.5kg
Ammunition Type: Energy-coated slugthrowers
Ammunition Capacity: 35 slugs.

Effective Range: 500m
Rate of Fire: Automatic
Special Features:
 • Magnogrip
Strengths:
 • Ammunition Type: The energy-coated slugs not only possess high stopping power but the thermal energy released from the miniature explosions when the slugs hit is capable of creating small dents on heavier armors and piercing lighter armors.
 • Muzzle velocity: With the utilization of the famed verpine shatter rifle technology, the FS-17 sprays slugs at extreme speeds which adds to its unpredictability and the kinetic impact that would be delivered
 • Twin Firing Mechanism: In a galaxy full with contingency plans, the FS-17 is no strange to it. Having the electromagnetic firing mechanism that usual verpine shatter rifles use for propulsion as its main firing system, the FS-17 possesses the ability to mechanically fire its slugs like a regular slugthrower. Thus, if the weapon is damaged by EMP/Ion attacks it would still function. Albeit, as a standard slugthrower.
 • Hard to deflect: The ammunition, although can be stopped by a lightsaber dead in its tracks if one can withstand the kinetic energy behind it or match its speed, cannot be deflected. It is simply disintegrated within the containment field of the lightsaber.
Weaknesses:
 • Ion/Emp attacks: They will disable the weapon's main properties and turn it into a standard quick firing automatic slugthrower.
 • Loud: Despite the magnetic fields, the FS-17 does not utilize the complete verpine shatter rifle system which makes it silent as the night. The weapon is loud as a standard slugthrower and can easily be heard making it not the best of stealth weapons.
 • Smaller caliber: To focus upon accuracy rather than complete destruction, the FS-17 has less focus on piercing straight through all materials and more on landing hits on the target.
Description: Basically going to expand the strengths and weaknesses.

Special Features:
Maneuverability Rating: 18.
Speed Rating: 18.

Hyperdrive Class: 2.

Strengths:
Anti-Force User Countermeasures: The Hyperdrive, reactor and life support systems are reinforced with tunqstoid, ensuring that any Force users attempting to board will be unable to slice and dice things open with their lightsabers. The bridge itself is secured by extensive phrik plating on the doors, walls and floors. Along with that, there are hundreds of autoblasters and at critical junctures there are retractable bulkheads.

Kyber Shield Focusing Module: Using kyber crystals, the Malice's shield efficiency has been greatly increased by the use of kyber crystals to project the shield.

Phrik Bridge Deflectors: The bridge deflector shield is made out of phrik, in order to make the bridge a far harder target to hit than the usual ships. This deters enemy fighters from attacking, and if so, buys time for TIE fighters to move to intercept enemy bombers.

Kyber Weapon Focusing Modules: While the Malice is an impressively armed ship, the use of kyber crystals to increase the efficiency of the ships offensive and defensive weapons.

Faster Than She Looks: The Malice is a faster ship than her sister ships. Although it wouldn't be able to properly keep up with corvettes, and freighters, she's still fast enough to get the jump on enemy destroyers and cruisers.

Weaknesses:

Lower Fighter Count: In order to make way for larger reactor size, the TIE fighter fuel depots were reduced in size, meaning the squad capacity is halved.

Increased Reactor Size: To accommodate for the increased demands on engine speed, and shield efficiency, the hypermatter reactor has had to be drastically increased in size to power up such a beast.

Gross Military Cost: While the cost of a resurgent destroyer is massive, the Malice adds an extra thirty percent to the usual budget thanks to its liberal usage of phrik and needing more engineers to install the reactor.

Command Ship: If the Malice were to go down, it would be a disaster for the fleet, and be a huge blow to fleet morale.

Decreased Ground Force Deployment: While most Resurgents come with an army ready to be deployed to subjugate system, this one has had to have its ability to deploy drastically lessened through the decrease in hangar availability. This means slower troop deployment times, and could cost the First Order the day.

Smaller Garrison: Although the Malice carries an impressively large compliment of ground forces, it is far smaller than other resurgent-class star destroyers. Due to this, the Malice should not be used alone in the pacification of systems.

Description: Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber watched the arrival of his esteemed guest with a certain level of smugness. Among them were intelligence operatives, military officers and civilian bean counters.

But Carlyle didn't mind a varied audience. Just like the First Imperial Modular Bases, this was his moment of triumph, "Welcome aboard the FIV Malice." The officer said with a warm, condescending smile, "The future of naval warfare." He added.

"This ship cost us a pretty penny Admiral." One of officials of treasury, "I would like to see that its cost matches our expectations."

"Of course, of course." Carlyle greeted, behind his smile, he was personally fuming. How dare this public servant try to take the gloss out of his day in the sun. "This vessel, I assure you, is an effective use of your time."

"How is it," One of the military officials began, an older general of the First Order's army, "An effective use of time, when it would take an hour or so to properly deploy a full legion. I know of other ships of this size and scope that'd do the job in half the time. That is not even to mention the drastically decreased armoured compliment."

Carlyle once again smiled, this time it was forced, as he continued down the hallway "General Agryle, I do say that this ship, yes does take longer to deploy a full legion, but by the same juncture it will allow us to take superiority in space over the enemy." Carlyle paused, "The reduced armoured division was pragmatic decision to ensure that the Malice is more manoeuvrable and able to assert dominance quicker."

"What use is that Rausgeber?" General Argyle asked, "We can take space, but the enemy will be on the retreat. They can refortify. Rede-"

"What use is an army when the enemy rains hell fire upon it?" Carlyle asked, his preiously calm demeanour shattered. "The First Imperial Army is a projectile to be fired by the First Imperial Navy." He continued, "What this ship aims to do is to destroy the enemy fleet, and secure a planets orbit." Carlyle said, "The Malice is designed to take the fight right up to an enemy who, let's be frank, fail when it comes to fighting in close range."

"As nice as that is Admiral, I have a question." An intelligence officer said, "I question the excessive and liberal use of phrik and kyber crystals." the agent said, "We have given this ship an enormous amount of resources, which my colleagues feel is a waste given it is a singular entity."

"Surely Deputy-Director Gernard, you know as well as I do the Galactic Alliance and their propensity for the usage of dark sided cultists and force users." Carlyle said, "The Phrik, and tungstoid used in the construction of this ship have been used ever sparingly." Carlyle said. "Apart from the bridge deflector shield," he admitted, "That was to simply ensure we had the best quality armour there."

"Given the report given by Apex mercenaries of their boarding of the imperial remnant's star destroyer, I felt compelled to reinforce my own ship." Carlyle said, "I must remind you that phrik, and tungstoid have been used sparingly on this craft to defend vital systems. The bridge is in fact a compartment entirely made from phrik. That and the bridge deflector shields are the only phrik elements of this ship." Carlyle paused, "In addition each hallway is equipped with an autoblaster, and vast parts of the ship can be successfully sealed. This along with our strong garrison can, and hopefully will destroy boarders before they can be effective."

"Admiral Rausgeber, as a fellow naval officer I wonder what prompted your decision to halve your fighter compliment." The chief of the naval delegation asked, "I found the decision, well, perplexing. Particularly given the Alliance's prerogative of throwing all their fighters out at once."

"The fighter compliment of this ship had to be halved." Carlyle replied, "To make way for a secondary hypermatter generator dedicated to engines, and powering the shields." Carlyle said, "It was not a decision taken lightly."

"Surely there are some sort of measure in place to combat fighters?" The officer asked again, "With the Alliance's heavy dependence on them, there has to be some way to combat them effectively."

"Fighters from the Alliance are a non issue." Carlyle replied, "The Malice is a ship, equipped with extensive point defence weaponry within the slit trenches, and the command tower." Carlyle said, "Their fighters would have to swarm us with hundreds of fighters to be able to destroy us." Carlyle said, "The batteries we have would destroy them, quick and simple."

"I do hate to be a bother," The Deputy-Director began, "But, what of the kyber crystals? You never elaborated."

"The kyber crystals we have procured, are to increase effectiveness in two major areas." Carlyle said, "The turbolasers, and the shield generator."

"How does that work?" The Deputy-Director asked, "As far as I was concerned, the only use for kyber crystals was lightsabers and the Death Stars."

"That is where you are wrong. The correct working of them is something I am not quite cognisant of, I'll perhaps have to send you the brief I received from engineering," Carlyle added with a small smile, "Kyber crystals act to focus energy. In a turbolaser, this allows for more precise shots, and in the shield generator, a more equitable distribution of power."

"So what you're saying is that the ship is more efficient using the crystals?" The deputy-director asked, "Why this ship and not fit all star destroyers?"

"Yes, yes I am." Carlyle said, "It should be far more accurate, and precise with its weaponry." The Admiral paused to consider the other proposition. It had in fact been an idea given multiple times to the officer, but he'd decided against it. "Well, with all new ideas like the ones you've proposed Deputy-Director, they all need a prototype of sorts." Carlyle said, "I would like to consider this ship, the first of a new era, which will use kyber crystals for offensive and defensive purposes."

The group of officers, and bureaucrat considered the proposal, and the ship. It was the accountant for the Defence Department who spoke first, "Consider this ship a test." The man said, "The department will allow it, but as a test case, and only that."

"Thank you sir." Carlyle said, "I will not fail."

fusion_engine_by_guidado.jpg

Intent: To create an engine that utilizes Permafrost crystals.

Development Thread: First Order | Sunglasses at Night (x)

Manufacturer: Primo Victorian Shipwright (x)

Model: Crystal Fused Engines | CFE-Permafrost G1

Affiliation: First Order | Open Market [Contract Thread Required]

Modularity: No

Production: Limited; First Order

Material:

 • Durasteel Frame

 • Reinforced Quadanium Steel

 • Duralium Casing.

Strengths:
[+] Frozen: The CFE-Permafrost G1 utilizes Permafrost crystals to give weapons (turbolasers) improved cutting power. In addition the Permafrost CFE acts much like a heat sink giving a boost to the engine’s overall performance.

[+] Rapid Fire: The CFE-Permafrost G1 also enables the turbolaser weapon system to fire at a rapid rate, rather than use the crystal’s special property. The CFC or the Crystal Fusion Chamber of the engine uses the crystal’s own energy to give the turbolaser weapon systems an additional source of energy to draw from.

Weaknesses:
[-] Frozen: Using Permafrost crystals is not without its hindrances, in test simulations the crystals have caused the entire engine to freeze up until engineers were able to bring the engine up to a more operable temperature. Unfortunately this tends to happen when the engine has been under a lot of stress, engineers are still working on how to decrease the chances of the engine freezing entirely.

[-] Systems Down: The engine isn’t the only system that can be impacted by the permafrost crystals, other systems are prone to suffer freezes and shutdowns. The crystal’s unique property can overpower the engine’s own fail-safe system.

[-] Pew-Pew Only: The engine does nothing for ion, or warhead missiles outside of normal parameters, these weapon systems receive no additional bonuses or effects. Rather it can adversely affect these weapon systems rendering them inoperable until they’ve been brought back up to standard temperatures.

[-] Size Matters: The CFE was made uniquely for one type of ship, for the Knights of Ren. This engine cannot be used in ships that are not the Furious-class or of the same size, which is 200m.

Description: The Crystal Fused Engine, a project initially handled by the First Order Corps of Imperial Engineers was handed off to Primo Victorian Shipwright for further development. FOCIE bore the idea of creating an engine that utilized the power of a lightsaber crystal to assist with a ship’s weapons systems. More specifically to assist ships created for the Knights of Ren.

The FOCIE initially refused to create vessels for the Knights, but were urged by Admiral Fiolette Yvarro to consider the possibilities. What they could create for the Navy, after creating for the Knights. Thusly, she tasked her own company, Primo Victorian Shipwright - primarily a blueprint company to create the engine. Initially the engine is no different than any other ship’s engine, however; there is one striking difference. There within the engine is a place to store lightsaber crystals. Crystals, as it requires at least three full crystals to be able to gain the full benefit of having the CFE.

The next question was where to get crystals, with the majority of the Knights of Ren away on Lothal. Ambassador, Industrialist and Sith Acolyte Valessia Brentioch took on the quest to gain crystals. The Scion of House Brentioch chose to go to Hoth for permafrost crystals, taking with her two knights of ren and a handful of other volunteers for the project. After retrieving the permafrost crystals, Primo Victorian Shipwright set about testing the engine, and they discovered something.

The crystals when placed into the fusion chamber, not only enable a faster rate of fire but also gave the weapons a bonus in their cutting power. Afterward the PVS Engineering team redesigned the engine to fit more as a heatsink, realizing that the crystals could give an increased performance to the engine by soaking in more heat than is typical for engines of this size.

Unfortunately, it seemed that the engine was now permanently bonded to the permafrost crystals. Which now meant that if, if they wished to use different crystals, they would have to create different engines in order to utilize them. For now, the CFE-Permafrost would do the initial job that they needed and that was providing the Knights of Ren with a unique engine, for their vessels that would not only fire at a faster rate but would also give a small bonus on damage. The next step was to ensure that the crystals would not freeze the entire engine...

Note: If someone wishes to create an engine that utilizes a different crystal, then a separate submission must be created where it could be subject to development.

Description: Historically the Fury-class Interceptor was a transport vessel for prominent Sith Warriors and Inquisitors. In the same way, the First Order hopes to emulate this by recreating a slightly larger variant of the vessel. The Furious-class Crystal Corvette. A small, agile vessel with the added benefit of Crystal-crystals giving the small ship a boost to her weapons systems. The vessel much like her predecessor serves the nation’s force users, only instead of the Sith, the Furious-class is built with the Ren in mind. Built with a meditation room, storage for artifacts, and workbench the vessel is ready for the Knights of Ren.

The First Order Corps of Imperial Engineers needed no outside help for this, they turned to the First Imperial Archives buried deep beneath Avalonia to retrieve the blueprints of the Fury. From there they turned the Fury into the Furious only now the vessel was larger, bore the First Order’s emblem and was built to work with the Ren and not the Sith. The Crystal-line of vessels comes uniquely equipped with additional communication channels built for the Knights.

Additionally the Furious comes equipped with four viper-class imperial probe droids to enable the Knight or Knights to conduct their mission with as much efficiency as possible. The Hangar is also equipped with two speeder bikes and a small workshop (where the workbench is located) to enable the Knight to get to where they need to go on the ground as quickly as possible.

While the Furious is not as fast as her predecessor might have been, the idea was to develop a Corvette that would perform the functions that the Knights of Ren needed her to perform, and the FOCIE believe that the Furious is more than capable of doing so.

Intent: To create a unique class of ship that would enable the Knights of Ren to travel beyond the First Order to extend the will of the Supreme Leader.

Description:Taking from the Alliance, the First Order Corps of Imperial Engineers created their variation on the S-Fold, and crafted them onto the oculus section of a TIE Fighter. What started out as a model turned into something more. Over the course of a year, the design was tweaked and worked until the final product was approved. With the idea of a TIE-X in mind, it came down to applying the craft into a role, and that role was defense. A heavier craft with the ability to use Kyber crystals.

Creating an engine to use the Kyber crystals was another matter, thankfully the FOCIE had already been working on this with the Furious-class Kyber Corvette. However the larger-scale wasn’t working as they had hoped so they switched focus to the Crown. This enabled them to create a smaller core, or fusion core as they later named it and from there it was a matter of replicating this into a larger core for the Furious.

The idea was provide a boost to weapons, primarily the turbolasers since these Kyber-fused ships would be lightly armed when compared to other vessels in the fleet. The idea was that all Kyber-fused ships would be vessels lent to the Knights of Ren from the Navy, uniquely crafted to fit their needs.

Storm Commando Knuckle Plate Vibroblade
<Rupture>

Intent: Personal concealed melee weapon for the First Order Storm Commandos.
Development Thread: If needed

Manufacturer: First Order Corps of Imperial Engineers
Model: Rupture
Affiliation: First Order
Modularity: No.

Production: Mass Produced
Material: Mono-molecular tip, Plas-bonded ostrine, duranium.
Classification: Knuckle plate vibroblade

Size: Dagger-size
Length: 28cm
Weight: 0.7kg
Special Features:
 • Plas-bonded ostrine edge
Strengths:
 • Plas-bonded ostrine edge: Due to the plas-bonding of ostrine, the material is capable of immediate freezing on touch.
 • Concealed: Hidden within its compartment, the gauntlet vibroblade can be a nasty and unexpected surprise
Weaknesses:
 • Cannot duel with it: Although it is a melee weapon, it is literally close to impossible to be able to duel with it in the sense of parrying or blocking other melee weapons successfully.
 • Element of surprise: The weapon being concealed and all makes it great for surprises but once that element is gone, the opponent will be well aware of it making it just a 28cm blade which is also as stated above a bit unhandy since it is on the wrist rather than wielded by hands.
Description: The knuckle plate vibroblade <Rupture> was designed with the sole purpose of being a surprising and lethal tool to be wielded by First Order troops. It cannot be considered in any way a melee weapon in the sense of being able to use it as you would a dagger in your hands.

The mono-molecular tip is used for the purpose of piercing and thus creating an opening in an armor. Utilizing the properties of plas-bonded ostrine and that of the common vibroblade, this weapon is able to weaken the integrity of denser and more resilient materials due to its freezing capabilities. That makes it easier to puncture through thicker and more durable armor than using just a standard vibroblade.

Thus, the knuckle plate vibroblade <Rupture> is a deadly tool when combined with the element of surprise.

SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:

+Fighter Deterrent: The strong fighter compliment, along with the comprehensive anti-air defences, mean that the shield gate is invulnerable.
+Impenetrable: Physically, outside of entering through the shield gate, one cannot penetrate the shield. Any craft, or entities which do, will be vaporised.
+Destroy it, and you’re screwed: The shield gate, once destroyed will cause the shield to lapse, and make the planet impenetrable. The only way to subvert that, would be to destroy the generator.
+Encasement Shield: In 800 years, people have learned enough to know that hammerhead frigates shouldn't be near shields. Any attempt to copy that, will end in termination.

Weaknesses:

-Heavy Artillery: The Krennic-class was not designed to oppose the massive firepower offered by star defenders or heavier cruisers.
-Closing Up Shop: The shield gate, due to its size, finds itself difficult to properly close in an instant. It can take from thirty seconds up to two full minutes for the generator to be deployed.
-Powerhouse: The Krennic-class needs extensive reactor space in both the shield generator and gate to regulate power supply.
-Holey Hell!: The Krennic-class shield gate hangar allows for access above, and below a shield. Although not large enough for corvettes to exploit, skilled gunship pilots and snub fighters could exploit that to their advantage.

Description:

Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber watched as the phalanx of Stormtroopers ushered in the inspection crew. These men were not unknown to Carlyle. General Mort Argyle, flanked by Commodore Yasmin Durarst, FOSB Sector Director Ferdinand Despont and finally Executor of Treasury, Clement Hernorn. “And so it begins,” Carlyle mused, turning to his army adjunct, General Lucien Montague.

“We should do well Admiral.” Montague dryly replied, “Argyle and Durarst are military men, they’ll see to it this opportunity isn’t wasted.”

Carlyle turned to face the hangar viewport again, “I hope you’re right.” The admiral replied, watching as the entourage entered the turbolift to their level. There was a tense pause. Carlyle seated himself at the far end of the conference table, with Montague sitting to his left. The table, was long and rectangular, with a holographic projector in the centre. Carlyle waited in silence, with baited breath until the door hissed open. Carlyle stood, and smiled, “Gentlemen, ladies, I welcome you to our new facility.” He paused, “I did not solely construct this, General Montague has been critical in the design and planning of this project.”

“Admiral,” Argyle gruffly began, “It’s a pleasure to see your work again.”

“I do concur with the general,” Commodore Durarst added, “This new model of defence is rather,” The officer paused, “Impressive. Though I do have some reservations as to what strategies should be employed to defend such a project as this.”

A third voice was however raised, “I don’t see this stations capability ever being put to use,” Clement Hernorn hollered, “I believe that the effect it will have on trade outweighs any defensive benefits.”

“Well I can already see where the issues are going to be, but please, take a seat.” Carlyle offered, the group of inspectors nodded, and sat silently on the other side of the table from Carlyle and Montague, “Now,” Carlyle began, “Perhaps it is best to address the Executor’s concerns first.” He turned to face Hernorn and motioned for him to begin, “Please, elaborate your concerns.”

Clement nodded, “Thank you admiral,” The officer began, “My concern does not lie with the cost, but rather the potential strain on trade.” Hornorn began, “With our ongoing war with the Galactic Alliance, trade has already taken a hit with merchants unwilling to traverse our territory in fear of privateers.” The civilian representative began, “With this shield, it only adds headaches for ships wishing to land, having to go through your gate. Some of the larger trade ships from the Core will be unable to land, further undermining our ability to set up tariffs, and supply our population with luxury goods.”

“You raise a good point Executor,” Carlyle began, “But I-“

“Hogspittle,” The boorish General Argyle chuckled, “What use is your recious trade when our planet is lost, and the Alliance bombing our cities?” He jeered, “You clearly have no idea as to what a real defence takes.”

“And you have no idea what it takes to supply an army,” The Executor fired back, “Our trade supplies your army with the material necessary for frivolous-“ Hernorn paused, and watched as Carlyle evilly glared at the bureaucrat, “Projects. With all due respect.” The taxman added.

Carlyle sneered at the bureaucrat, though his words would be kinder, “Perhaps you simply do not see the values as you have not experienced what war takes.” Carlyle offered, “This gate here, acts as a compromise,” He began, “If it were up to General Argyle, I believe he would not bother anyways.”

“Here, here!” Argyle added, banging on the table.

“Nonetheless, trade of course will be impacted,” Carlyle admitted, “But it is what we must sacrifice, in order to maintain our standard of living, and secure our people against the scourge of the Jedi.”

Ferdinand Despont piped up, “I do concur with the admiral here,” He added, “If I may,” He paused, and watched Carlyle bow his head, an acceptance to allow the spook to continue, “This new shield, allows us to police whomever comes into our territories better. Although there as never been wholesale smuggling enterprise, we have had instances of individuals entering our borders for malicious purposes. From my understanding, this shield, while up is nigh impregnable,” The director waited for Carlyle’s nod of approval before continuing, “This allows us to be able to force those who would otherwise illegally trade within our space, to submit to inspections and detain them. If anything, this is a boon.”

The executor eyed the sector director carefully, “Perhaps you’re right,” The man conceded, “However, we’ll be watching this project carefully, should anything drastically impact our economy drastically.”

Carlyle nodded, “Now, do we have any other concerns?” he asked.

“Yes admiral,” commodore Durarst began, “I take some issue with the defensive strategy involved here.”

“In what form?” Carlyle asked, eyeing the woman quizzically.

“Well, first and foremost, how do we defend ourselves with this thing, doesn’t it negate the need for a navy?” The commodore asked.

“Not exactly, no.” Carlyle replied, “While it is true that if the generator is up, and should the gate go down, the shield would remain up. The fact is, is that if the Alliance were to somehow land boarders on the shield gate, they would have the ability to activate the gate, and flood reinforcements in.” He paused, “Then there is the additional issue of closing it, the Alliance would theoretically at least, land approximately three battalions of troops on the surface before the gate would close. Something we must not allow to happen.” Carlyle paused, “These troops could in turn destroy the generator, and then cause the surface vulnerable to bombardment.”

“What will our strategy be though?” Commodore Durarst asked, “You’ve outlined the strategic importance, not how we will defend it.”

Carlyle nodded. It was a fair enough critique, “Well, we deploy all our ships to ensure that the shield gate is defended, all patrols should be centred around the gate, and trying to force the Alliance away from it.” He said, “The Alliance’s joke of a star fighter corps would be rendered useless by the quad batteries and point defence systems, so only their navy stand a chance. Even if the navy is defeated, that’d be enough to alert other battlegroups, and allow for the deployment of reinforcements to crush the Alliance.”

“So we just try to draw the enemy away from the gate?” Durarst asked.

“Simply put, yes.” Carlyle replied.

“Given the fact this shield generator is key, I’d like to hear more about it.” General Argyle said, “I think we’ve heard more than enough about this damned gate.”

“Well, what would you like to hear then?” Carlyle asked, “What specifics are you after?”

“Garrison size. If this thing is apparently as important as you’re talking about, I want information on what we have defending it.” Argyle said.

“Well,” Carlyle began, “This question can go to General Montague.”

“Well then,” Montague began, “The defensive force for the shield generator itself will be small,” he admitted, “It falls under the purview of the PDF, and FOSB, with elements of the Starfighter corps.” He began, “We have structure it so approximately a battalion of PDF personnel along with one platoon of FOSB troops will act as the first line of defence. Should the facility be attacked, it would have approximately two thousand PDF troops sent with armoured elements to secure the generator and eradicate the threat.”

“What about the starfighter element?” Argyle asked.

“The compliment of Starfighters is actually drawn from the shield gate.” Montague began, “Because of the way we built the gate, the hangar can deploy either above the shield, or below.” The general continued, “This means if the Alliance scum manage to slide squadrons in, before we close this thing, they’ll have six coming right after them.” Montague continued, “We'll cut through any attack like a lightsabre through steak."

Argyle was careful as he listened to the proposition, "So, we essentially can hold a whole planet through defending one location?" He asked.

"In theory, yes," Carlyle replied, "We could defend entire systems with little more than a battalion. The power we are dealing with, it's limitless."

+Heavy Payload: The Bombard-class carries with it a capability to annihiliate the shields of opposing units.
+Mobile Artillery: The Bombard-class is surprising mobile for its class of ship. It is designed to be constantly on the move, dealing damage from far away rather than engaging up close and personal.
+HIMS: The Bombard-class can subvert enemy attempts to interdict ships in the field of battle. Because of that, it is able to jump even while the enemy has deployed gravity mines.

Weaknesses:
-Team Player: The Bombard is decidedly weak when on its lonesome. It is easy pickings, so to be used effectively, it requires escorts.
-Bombing Runs: The bane of any cruisers existence. Due to the fact the more explosive ordinance is stored just below the surface, a good bombing run could potentially cripple the Bombard in the right place.

Classification: Castle
Affiliation: Darth Vader (Formerly) First Order, Knights of Ren
Description: Located on the Lava rivers of Mustafar, Vader's Castle was built on top of an Ancient Sith Temple rumored to once have been owned by a powerful Dark Lord of Sith, it was said to house many dark secrets and increased the dark side aura around the surrounding area. It was said to have housed many rooms such as a Meditation Chamber, Hanger, Training Room and more.
History: The Sith temple was originally built during the final years of the Jedi-Sith War approximately 1039 BBY. It was built by the Dark Lord of the Sith known as Darth Thaxsis who ruled most of the A sector through the dark age of the Old Republic. He was eventually betrayed during the Battle of Mustafar by his brothers and had his spirit sealed within his tomb for the next one thousand years. Then during the Age of the Empire Darth Vader and his master Darth Sidious often visited Mustafar to meditate on the dark side, by Darth Sidious's order Vader was forced to live in the tower that was constructed for him, it was where he would go to meditate and increase his power in the dark side, it was even built not that far from where he was defeated in the duel against his old Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Darth Vader even brought Jedi to the castle where he would extract whatever information he would need from them before killing them, it was even said through rumors as the place where 'Jedi go to die.' In 0BBY Director Orson Krennic was summoned to Vader's Castle hoping to gain an audience with the Emperor but instead was chastised for the incident on Jedha and his recklessness regarding the top secret Death Star. In 850 ABY long after the Castle had been abandoned the Castle was visited by the Knights of Ren of the First Order and engaged the Jedi Knights of the Galactic Alliance fighting a vicious battle, and even awakening the spirit of Darth Thaxsis. The battle was won by the Ren and now belong to the Ren for their own use. As well as being a new home for Kyrel as well.

The training room was located on the lower levels of the Castle. Vader would often train in the dark room, and with a hopeful apprentice, he would leave them in the room for days being constantly hounded by Sith training droids, and with no food or water to hone their skills in the dark side. This room is where Vader spent his time practicing his skills on the dark side and honing his Lightsaber Skills.

Interrogation Chamber:
Located in the depths of the Castle, Vader's Castle was often known as the place where "Jedi go to Die" And with good reason, between 19 BBY and 14 BBY Vader would often hunt for the remaining Jedi that survived the Great Purge and would bring them back to interrogate them for whatever information they carried, this included whereabouts to other Surviving Jedi such as his former Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, using various methods of torture before ultimately getting whatever he could and killing them.

Detention Block:

The Detention Block not far from the Interrogation Chamber was used by Vader to house Important Prisoners that he had needed alive, mostly this was used to hold Captive Jedi that was waiting for their time in the Interrogation chamber, during that time they were tortured constantly by Interrogation droids, denied Food or Water and kept within the darkness the only light was the ray shield, they would also be prey to immense dark side aura surrounding the area, this would make them even more vulnerable to giving into Vader's methods when they went into the Interrogation Chamber.

Vader's Meditation Chamber is a room with a bacta tank that Vader used to find peace in perhaps one of the only times he could ever find peace, he was able to be without his suit and was able to meditate on the dark side. He was often attended by his servant Vanee and protected by two royal guards. This room also houses a window in which one could spot the exact place where Vader was defeated in his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi.

DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
The ADE was designed to fulfill a need for the First Order's aggressive style of conquest. These emplacements are equipped with a programmable IFF targeting system and an independent power source, allowing them to be dropped ahead of First Order troop movements to provide anti-air and anti-armor covering fire for advancing stormtroopers and armored columns. The emplacements are self-deploying, dropped from a specially-designed dropship. In this way, deployed remotely, the emplacement operates as a sort of automated turret. However, the emplacement can also be manned, with the gunner either working in conjunction with, or independent of, the targeting computer.

Strengths:
 • Durable: These emplacements are designed to be dropped from moving dropships. They are armored heavily to survive impact on all manner of terrains, and to resist small-arms and standard starfighter fire. It won't last forever, but it won't be instantly dispatched, either.
 • Versatile: The emplacements can be either manned or unmanned. When manned, the on-board automated targeting system can be leveraged to provide firing solutions, or can be overriden completely, provided the user has the correct access codes (changed before each battle).
 • Modular: Prior to deployment, the ADE can be configured with one of four configurations (see descriptions below).
Weaknesses :
 • Immobile: Once deployed, they do not move without being recollected and redeployed.
 • Slow to Deploy: In the heat of battle a moment can mean anything. This device takes approximately one minute to self-deploy upon landing.
 • Firing Arcs: Unable to target at close range (less than 3 meters) due to the rotational arc.
DESCRIPTION
The FAR-ADE-001 was designed to compliment the First Order's aggressive method of conquest, as well as being functional for defense as well. The device begins its deployment as an roughly egg-shaped pod. They are kept on a rack of four and deployed off a specialized transport vessel. Once the pod is deployed, it is self-erecting in approximately one minute, is ready to come online. Each emplacement is flashed with current IFF codes prior to deployment, and these are the codes that are used for the automated defenses. Any vessel large enough to register on its sensors (generally, armored ground vessels like tanks, and atmospheric and space vessels) that are not broadcasting friendly codes will be targeted and prioritized by the targeting computer. Each defensive emplacement has basic rechargeable battery when no standard power outlet is available, and solar panels onboard to sustain and recharge the battery. The system has no on-board energy shielding, but is built with thick armor plating so that it can take some pounding before going offline or being destroyed.

The ADE has four modular configurations:

 • Configuration One: Homing Cluster Warhead Launcher (Ten Brilliant Cluster Missiles) [Reloadable]
 • Configuration Two: Rotary Disruptor Cannon (Underslung secondary power generator with external heat sinks)
 • Configuration Three: Two twin-linked Heavy Particle Cannons (External heat sinks)
 • Configuration Four: Two twin-linked heavy repeating blaster cannons (External heat sinks)

In addition to the above description, the ADE is equipped with the following miscellaneous equipment: Droid Brain with Heuristic Processor, Tactician Battle Computer with Predictive Algorithms, Tactical and Combat Sensors, 360 degree Rotary Photoreceptor, Internal Telemetry and Guidance Sensors, Fast-Track Mountings, Auditory Sensors, Remote Receiver (First Order Military Encryption Keys), Internalized Diagnostics and repair Unit (for minor damage only), Emergency Reactivation Protocols, Electrical Defense Grid (melee self-defense device), Externally-Mounted Floodlight, Remote Self-Destructive Mechanism.
