From paper to steel

Gherron blinked a few times, trying to get the dark blurry spots to fade away. When he did, he noticed Nala above him with a cloth, wiping his forehead gently. Then she asked him why he ran. A cold chill passed over him then. "It's... Hard to explain."

"Well try." she said bluntly, sitting next to him now on his bed. "Don't hide something if it's going to keep effecting you like this, Gherron. I told you my problems when my father died, didn't I?"

Gherron sighed softly. "Nala, I- I've been dealing with a darkness ever since I learned I could use the force. The first time I ever used it... I was being chased. I had nowhere to go. Then, it just happened. I put my hand up, and the guy flew against the wall. I'd killed him. After I'd made my lightsaber, Josh and I were fighting. It came out of me and tried to control me again. The problem is, it feels good when it happens. But I hate it, and i-" Tears flooded from his eyes. "I just want it to stop."

Nala listened to his story and was a bit surprised when he revealed his first experience using the force. After telling how much he hated it and wanted it to stop she reached over and hugged him while saying "We'll find a way, Gherron. Trust me. We all have to overcome our darkness eventually, otherwise we become like the sith. And I won't let that happen to you. I promise."

She nodded before giving a quick kiss on his cheek. She stood and walked towards the door, glancing back one last time towards him, before finally exiting and closing it behind her. Whatever Gherron needed to do she hoped she could help however she could in the future.

Gherron sat on his bed, contemplating the day in his head. He needed to be at peace with himself. Closing his eyes, he pulled his consciousness inward toward the force. It welcomed him, as it did always, each time being more and more welcoming. Visions came and went, time seemed to stand still. He was one with his demons. Then, something weird happened. A strange vision came to him, of Nala. It was the same Nala, except her eyes were a golden color, rage contorted in her face. In her hand, she gripped her purple lightsaber. "No... No!"
