Keeping her chained did sound good.

For a moment.

"Alright." Kurt finally said as he rolled off the bed and did the same as Jamie. His pants slipped on rather quickly, though he still left out the underwear. He left the shirt hanging where it was, still not really requiring it even though the Ship had gotten rather cold. He winked at her as he moved out out of his room and towards the cockpit.

There was a spring in his step, a certain joy. Not because Jamie was leaving, but because of the day that they had spent together. It seemed like such a short time, but they had had their fun, and Kurt had made another connection. That was rare for him, connecting with another human being, especially a woman. "Come on, You'll want to see this."

"O-okay" She said, trying to get her legs through the pants and pull them up while attempting to follow Kurt out of the room, her hand scooping up her shirt from the edge of the bed as she hopped past.

Exiting the room she tripped on the bottom of her pant leg, forcing her other foot to abruptly stomp down in a pathetic attempt to save herself from falling. As would be expected she simply fell forward at a rather quickened pace, hands extending outward as she came crashing down to the floor, smacking her head off the far end of the ship's hull, completing her graceless tumble with a prominent thud.

"OW!" She shouted, her hand raising to her temple. "That karking hurt!"

She turned, looking at Kurt, her face scrunched up in a combination of embarrassment and pain, her pants still halfway up her legs. Nothing was broken, and she wasn't overly injured, except for perhaps any pride and dignity she had left to lose.

Kurt stifled a laugh, instead stepping up to her and slowly reaching his arms around her to pick her up and off the floor. "I reckon that's why you'll need the Jedi training."

The comment came with a smirk, though also a small kiss to the side of her head. He could be sweet at least, they really only had a few more hours together before they would have to leave one another. It wouldn't be permanent, or at least that's not the way that Kurt intended it to be. He really did want her to stay in touch, though if she chose to do so that would be up to her. He knew what training under the Jedi was like, had heard the rumors from some of the other cadets in the academy and even some of the officers.

"Maybe a chain wouldn't be too bad an idea." His smirk continued. "Less of an opportunity to hurt yourself."

That would likely earn him some kind of hit, but he couldn't help himself.

Jamie adjusted her pants so that they were on proper, her eyes turning to stare up at Kurt, narrowed and playfully irritated. She wasn't truly mad about his comment, but played a look as if she were.

"If you chained me, I suspect I'd be subjected to other types of..." She tapped her foot, holding her chin, as if searching for the right words. "Pain and torment."

When she finished fixing herself she tagged along behind Kurt back up towards the cockpit. Careful not to make any more of an embarrassment out of herself she climbed the ladder just after him slowly.

"Better watch out you know. Once I'm trained I'll be awful dangerous." She said, accenting the word in a teasing and menacing manner.

Kurt smiled, climbing up the ladder and throwing himself into the pilots chair only a few seconds before Jamie found herself plopping down beside him. There was a slight groan to the bantha leather as he leaned back, reaching over towards one of the control switched to summon a small holo-communicator. The device would send a landing signal to the traffic control tower, automatically ensuring that they would get an all-clear flight path that would take them straight to Byblos.

"I don't think you'd mind." Kurt said with a grin at her comment about torment, giving her a slight wink before turning his attention to the controls.

The Messa would drop out of hyperspace at nay moment, and Kurt didn't want a repeat of what had happened on Tatooine. His fingers laced around the controls, and then suddenly there was a jarring dropping feeling within the pit of his stomach. They tumbled back into real space, the stars turning back to normal and a planet coming into full view almost immediately, the great drab gray of Byblos coming out right ahead of them.

"Oh I know it." Kurt said as he reached up and flicked the switch on the communicator. "I'll have to get stronger chains."

The girl sitting just beside Kurt would tense momentarily, the sudden appearance of the massive planet startling her senses. Her hands relaxed after her eyes were convinced that they were not about to crash into the planet at hyper speed. Hyperspace travel was something she was still entirely unused to, so each time she dropped out of it was a mildly intimidating experience for her.

"You think so, huh?" She leaned over and poked his side with her index and middle fingers. "You think you've got me all figured out do you?"

In truth he more or less did. It seemed as though he knew his way around her body and desires better than she did. Perhaps that was a gift of his. Perhaps it was due to the number of women he'd been with in the past. Perhaps it was just her inexperience.

"No chains will save you from me, if I want to get at you, dear."

Kurt smiled slightly, taking the controls of the Messa and pushing his ship directly towards the planet below. Byblos was, much like Coruscant, an entire city that decorated all of the planet below. Unlike Coruscant however there were no multiple levels, one could actually step on solid ground on Byblos. That was because the planet attempted to retain a bit of atmosphere to it, a peacefulness. Kurt liked it, though it was far too busy for his ever considering actually living there.

"You think so?" The ship shook as they entered the atmosphere, red trails forming around the directional shield of The Messa.

"I'm pretty slippery." For a brief second he glanced over her. "Think you could catch me?"

She probably could when she was fully trained, but a man had to retain some of his dignity. "Then again, don't know why I'd ever run from you."

Kurt offered her another wink, turning his attention towards the planetary traffic that slowly began to rage all around them.

"Oh, I know so." The girl's stomach tightened internally. Her nerves were on edge entering the atmosphere. Despite knowing the possibility of burning up as the ship entered was incredibly low, it still happened from time to time. It was never out of the realm of possibility. Her anxiousness would settle only once the ship was no longer shaking due to the intense friction and turbulence of the breach.

"You might be slippery and fast, but the Force is still the Force, stronger than any chains." Her hand reached over and rested on top of his, her eyes settling on his scruffy looking adorable face. "You might run. You haven't known me long enough to stick it out with me." She intertwined her fingers into his. "Besides, judging by the looks of things, you've run from any other woman you've shared your time with thus far."

Her tongue poked out at him, a small dig at his integrity had been thrown at him. "What makes you think I'm any different that you wouldn't run from me too?"

"Run? I'll have you-" He came to a realization that she was rather right in her assumption. He had always run away, or rather, sneaked away during the middle of the night. A few times that had gone utterly the wrong way, but most of the time he had simply just run away. It was who he was, and the fact that Jamie guessed that about him? Well, that left a slight impression.

"I wouldn't run from you." Kurt said, his tone suddenly becoming slightly more serious. "Maybe towards you."

Would he?

It was a question work asking. He liked Jamie, a lot, but he was hardly ready to settle down and mimic his parents, that was a long way off for him, so far off that it might never become a reality in fact. Kurt still had growing up to do, and despite what he had seen in the wars and experienced since then he still preferred playing the child. It was who he was, what he was, really. Trying to change him would only result in a different man, a man that would very likely be a shell.

The Messa cut through the space lanes, slicing through buildings and heading directly towards Sif Headquarters, a large, flat warehouse looking building that began to peek over the horizon.

That hesitation was all the answer she needed to hear. It spoke entirely for and about Kurt. His following words could have been held back entirely as they were more or less unheard anyway. It was that hesitation that sent a cold shiver up her back. That feeling she'd felt a small handful of times during their time together was brutally clear to her this time. Sure, he liked her. But he liked her about as much as any other woman he'd spent time with during his trips or travels here or there. She was no different from them. What reason did she have to believe otherwise? She was nothing special. Just a girl from a prominent family on a planet that held little importance to Kurt in any type of way. She was a good time, and he maybe took a bit of a pity on her when he'd learned of her recent history and nothing more.

Her hand let go of his, retracting almost too suddenly back to her own lap. Jamie then released the strap that held her to the seat, standing even as the ship zipped from side to side through the Byblos air traffic.

"I'll be back... I just need to use the washroom."

She then scurried down the ladder and headed for the other room without another word.

"Jamie Wai-" The girl disappeared down the ladder before he could even try to stop her. Kurt knew she was upset, knew that he had likely said the wrong word, but there was no chasing her down now.

Instead his head shook slightly, doubt, disbelief, despair.

He hadn't wanted to cause any of that in Jamie, he hadn't wanted to cause any of that within himself. At his heart Kurt was a good person, he really was, but his own actions tended to be on the reckless side. He did what he pleased, when he pleased, and always followed through. Perhaps this time he had gone a bit too far, perhaps he should have thought of his own actions. His teeth sunk into his lower lip for a moment The Messa cutting above Byblos and heading directly towards Sif Headquarters.

He wanted to comfort her, wanted to go to her and tell her something, but in truth he had no idea what he would have even said.

The Courier shifted in his seat slightly, bringing the ship over towards one of the dozens of landing platforms on the roof of the building. The Messa settled with a silent thud and the sound of bending metal as it came down onto the landing pad. As soon as they struck down Kurt leaned back, letting his fingers slip from the controls and his head tilt back against the seat.

The door closed behind her as she hurried into the washroom. Small hands gripped the sides of the sink as she stared back at herself in the mirror. Her legs felt the shifting of the ship from side to side as Kurt continued piloting towards their destination. What was she going to do? She had absolutely no idea what to say to him. It wasn't exactly his fault being who he was. It wasn't quite like she had any kind of claim to him or what he did. She had no idea what she expected to have happened. Perhaps in her mind she had unrealistic expectations of him. Being so inexperienced with such a subject only served to further frustrate her. Changing someone who'd been so set in their ways that it was actually a part of who they were wasn't something she would have any power to change, nor even attempt to do so. She wasn't worldly, but she wasn't stupid.

The face staring back at her in the mirror infuriated her further. Her eyes averted from the figure staring back, almost mocking her for everything she'd done. She'd become the very thing her parents had attempted to keep her from becoming: a plaything. An object of someone's temporary affection and attention that held no significance in the eyes of the other. Jamie squeezed her forehead, attempting to calm the fury building in her chest.

Stumbling a bit as the ship suddenly touched down on a surface she realized then that they had reached the Sif HQ. With a quick pull she slid the doorway open and hurried towards the far end of the ship. With the landing gear down the release latch for the ramp would be accessible to let her out. She wasn't entirely sure where it was, as she hadn't taken into account the need for it when she boarded. It seemed as though Kurt was still in the cockpit by the time she reached the ramp, though as she suspected it was still raised. It would take a minute or so to look around for the proper button that would lower the ramp. She knew that the moment she pressed that button he would either hear or see that it was opening. It wasn't as if she had much of a choice, it was the only way out she knew of.

An alert suddenly pulled his attention, the manual control for the ramp in the cargo hold. His eyes bugged out. Generally the control was used to eject cargo or if the hold somehow needed to be ejected of cargo, using it was dangerous, mostly because the hydraulics that were usually engaged in raising and lowering the ramp were simply deactivated and the cargo hold was simply depressurized. In space this would force the ramp open and the oxygen out, on the ground...well Gravity took its course.

The heavy metal ramp smashed down into the ground, falling from The Messa in a near instant. A loud thud rang out from the impact, and Kurt suddenly winced as he thought of the damage to the landing pad itself. He shifted in his seat, attempting to get up but forgetting about his safety harness. He found himself trapped in his chair, oxygen bursting from his lungs as he threw himself against the straps. Thrown back into the chair Kurt fumbled with the release, trying desperately to get away.

"Jamie!" He called as he finally managed to get away.

The Courier didn't bother to climb down the ladder, instead he jumped down the small latch and landed in the back of The Messa with a heavy thud. He caught sight of the tail end of Jamie's foot racing down the ramp, rushing forward. A heavy sigh pulled from his lips. "Jamie wait!"

Kurt called after her, beginning the chase.

She had absolutely no karking clue where she was, where she was going, what she was going to do, or how she was getting out of wherever this was. The Messa was far from a big ship, so it logically wouldn't have taken Kurt long to figure out what she was doing, and as expected, she heard him shouting at her from not too far back. Was he faster than her? She didn't know, but she was going to find out. Jamie ran straight toward a pair of double doors that likely led inside of the Sif building, if that's where Kurt had actually landed. Without slowing she rammed against the twin doors with her shoulder, grimacing the moment she did so as the heavy doors protested their movement.

"Aaaghhh!" She groaned as the pain registered through her shoulder, though not slowing as she barreled through the complex, following the signs that directed toward the main lobby. As luck would have it a lift was required to ride two floors down before one could reach said lobby. Two men were already waiting for the doors to close as she approached. "Hold that please!" She yelled as she raced toward them. Surprisingly they held open the door in time for her to scamper through, her finger hammering the 'L' until finally the doors closed. However close Kurt was to her she didn't know, she never once turned back around to check.

Kurt chased after her as fast as he could.

The Courier still kept in shape, exercising and training every day so that his lungs were strong and he could pilot correctly. Cardio was a big part of that, and although Jamie was quick, Kurt was faster. Her stumble against the doors was enough to let him catch up, almost at least, but as soon as she entered the facility itself she gained the lead on him again. A curse sprang from his lips, and Kurt tried to pick up speed again. She turned a corner, half sliding before running off.

"Wait!" Kurt screamed at the top of his lungs, letting out another curse as he saw the open turbo-lift door at the end of the hall. he tried to catch up to her, but almost instantly she found her place within the left. She turned, her hair swinging, her eyes setting on Kurt's just as he went barreling into the closed doors. "Kark."

He said slamming his fist against the durasteel.

His eyes would wander for half a second, then note the door to the side, stairs. Kurt practically sprang into action, jumping towards the doors and bounding down the flights of stares with a long, jumping run.

Come on...Come on... This was literally the slowest turbo lift ever. It could hardly be called turbo for that matter. She watched as the floor numbers slowly lit up as it passed the first, then the second. Suddenly the lift stopped. Jamie looked up. The lift doors opened and the man to her left smiled as he strolled out. She looked up, it stopped on the floor above the lobby. KARK. If Kurt got into another lift that did not stop at one of the two other floors he would likely beat her to the lobby. Or, if he was really fast, he might beat her using the stairs.

Leaning over she pressed the button to close the doors to the lift several times hoping to force it shut faster. The other man she shared the lift with studied her for a moment curiously.

"In a bit of a hurry miss? Late for something?" Jamie looked at him, blank faced and cold. "You could say that." Come on...Come ON!

The light on the wall lit up. 'L'. The ding alerted them they had reached the ground floor. The doors began to open in what Jamie could swear was slow motion. Without even waiting for the doors to open fully she squeezed through and nearly ran into someone to the left of her as she raced towards the door leading out.

He simply jumped down the entire final flight of stairs. He knew that the elevators in the building weren't all that fast, at least compared to other turbo-lifts, and if he moved quickly enough he would be able to catch Jamie as she came out of the elevator.

Kurt landed with a heavy thud on the final floor, a woman recoiling and jumping to the side as he nearly knocked her over.

"Sorry!" The Courier yelled at her as he broke out into another sprint. He barreled through the heavy double doors that cut off the staircase from the main building, pressing them open with another crash of his shoulders as he ran into the main Lobby. He saw a blue for half a second, his lips thinning. "Jamie!"

She moved fast, but Kurt was already running. He turned the corner and chased, his hand reaching out to catch her and pull her towards him just as they exited the building.

Jamie heard him shout her name again. She kept running. All she wanted was to leave. Why was she so stupid? He told her himself she was foolish not long ago. She'd proven him right by every single action she'd taken that day. Her heart was pounding harder than a drum, a bit of sweat dotted her forehead and back of the neck. A combination of nervousness and the running had managed that. Still, Kurt was simply faster than her. The moment she felt his hand on her she shrieked. The sudden and unwelcome contact making her spasm in his arms in a vain attempt to escape.

A mixture of cursing and groans combined as she tried to free herself. before finally submitting and falling to her knees just outside the large double doors to the complex. She didn't want him to catch her. She just wanted to disappear. There was nothing to say, nothing to do. He was who he was. There was no amount of explaining necessary. He said everything he needed to in that one split second of hesitance. She felt those same damned tears fill the ducts in her eyes, a struggled attempt to hold them back bought her only an extra second or two before tiny droplets fell to the ground between her legs, her head held low to entirely avoid looking at Kurt.

His arms wrapped around her, a tight grip, though not one of death or anything that would really hold her in place.

She fell to her knees, Kurt wrapping around her and squatting down so she wouldn't hurt herself by falling hard onto the ground. His hands touched bare skin, his thumb gently stroking up and down her upper shoulder. He could feel her sob in his arms, could feel her try to hold back tears. A shake ran through her body, and Kurt tried to hold her fast.

There should have been something to say, something to be done to comfort her.

But Kurt had nothing.

A few people gathered around them, one or two humans looking at them oddly before moving on. The Courier ignored them, not caring about being judged and certainly not giving a kark whether or not someone thought it odd that a girl had collapsed onto the ground. Right now his focus was on Jamie, simply holding her, at a loss for words. What more was he supposed to do?

The most dangerous part of the entire situation was that Jamie hadn't known herself, the type of person she would be in this type of scenario. Kurt knew who he was, what he was. If Jamie thought she someone was going to make any kind of difference in that she was actually crazier than he was for letting her fly his ship. She sat in place, wanting to just fade away. For some reason he wouldn't just let her go. He had to be the one to leave. He was the one who always left the women he had been with. She realized finally that it wasn't anything special about her that he saw. He simply took advantage of the opportunity he was presented. She didn't say no, she didn't object to his advances. She encouraged and invited him. It wasn't anything he'd done differently, and it wasn't as though he tricked her. He was simply himself. She liked it. She was just as foolish as all of the other women he'd seduced in the past.

"It's just a show of words and witty charm, isn't it?"

Her head kept low, her voice broken up by stressful breaths. Her shoulders rolled, pulling away from Kurt's touch as he ran his hands along her.

"Has there ever been anyone you've cared about? Or has it always just been a game?"
