Dark Lord PC has been done before and in every rendition that I've experienced (spanning multiple sites), it doesn't really work. It's good to have an unobtainable position, at least for the Sith, as it keeps out the idea of one pc being inherently more powerful than another - which I think we have done a very good job in the OS of developing as a staple. It also allows you to have this mystical figure that exceeds the prowess of what is acceptable for PC's, remaining relatively unused as this bastion or fount of power.

It's also worth to note it that having a NPC Dark Lord was quite the founding principle of the One Sith and I would say changing that would be a sin.

That would match the overall theme as we have Eye of the Dark Lord and Wrath of the Dark Lord and Voices of the Dark Lord and so on... So I support that.Daughter Andromeda said:

Not all subfactions have or need laws (Sith Assassins are an example)

Just curious, but do you have any suggestions on how we could incorporate the subfactions in a more meaningful way? I intend to represent the Legion through active voting but beyond that, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on how this can be pushed further - the more integration and incorporation, the better.

You've made the shadow of the Dark Lord a thing, why not continue something along those lines for other subfactions?
It really depends on the subfaction though. The SA is about killing the OS's enemies quickly and efficiently, as well as putting fear on the hearts of those who oppose the rightful rule of the One Sith.
I'd suggest chatting with the owners of each subfaction and discussing with them how to integrate them into this new system.

Kaine's probably gonna kill me, but I would support such a move as well. It would incorporate all subfactions more into the whole faction system if their leaders had such ranks amongst the hierarchy. It would also unify the whole structure of our faction.Darth Ferus said:

For now, let's say that any OS or OS subfaction planet can have someone in the Will of the Emperor. Let the FA sort out giving the sub-factions new titles if they want them so that our parliament issue and our subfaction involvement issue don't become reliant on each others' success.
