Unman the Wall!

I'll speak bluntly, Zak is correct. I'm leery about PvP with Sith writers because I've noticed the trend of them God-moding and generally being uncooperative. When you call them out for it, rather than being reasonable, they become childish and petulant. That isn't to say we don't have that with Jedi characters but it doesn't seem as prevalent.

At the same time, I want interaction between the two groups. That's the story in the grand arc here, isn't it? Doing things outside feels ancillary and unimportant in a way. It's just too many writers seem to want to 'win' as opposed to roleplay.

[member="Dune Rhur"] hay if that happens then rpj, if you can't resolve it by pm. Also point them in the direction of how to take a measured hit, which is pure gold.

I'll just point out that in my situation, I wasn't writing against Sith characters. I was the Sith character. So, I view at as a board-wide or community issue that isn't attributable to any one group of characters. And I agree the guide to taking a measured hit is gold, but it's up to the other writer to decide whether any part of your post is going to apply to them.

In all my PVP encounters, my opponent (usually Jedi) choose to completely dodge my attacks. Each and every single one. This puts me in the losing position when I take a measured hit each round, so at the conclusion of the fight the other person goes to their faction admin or an RPJ and just says "look, I beat the crap out of him and he never touched me."

In other words, my view of PVP on Chaos has become that the golden rule is: May the best god-moder win.

But, obviously the community is huge on PVP since it colors so much of the map game and so I try my best to play along and be part of it. But, it seems the worst part of the site to me.

[member="Zak Dymo"] it is, I dislike pvp unless it is with the small handful of people I trust to want to have fun. Like [member="Sochi Ru"], [member="Jericho"] and [member="Felicity Mason"].... the last one our fight being a brutal knock down drag out where we went out of our way to cause as much non fatal damage as possible just to have fun.

though one of these days, the female jedi are going to all duel Zak and give him the cooties

I keep challenging people to fights but no one accepts :/ probably cause I am a very slow/bad writer. But thanks for the shout out.

Hope the rebellion thing pans out though, looks like alot of fun
