Glory To The Hunter [Bounty Hunt, Dev Thread]

Kat'Lariah Syphex

Don't. Even. Think about it.
(Its alright. I'm in the same boat....I hate finals...)

For a droid the machine certainly enjoyed his drama and theater. Knight of the Eclipse...Ironborne and Bladeknight... Kat thought internally scoffing to herself. Well if the man...woman...it...whatever the machine had survived as many centuries as he had claimed, he had to be doing something right, and Kat wasn't about to argue.

"I've got one question." Kat spoke up, "What happens if things go south?" Likely they'd be left for dead. Kat had worked solo for so long though, working with a team...if things did end up going sideways, it could present a few...a lot of problems. Problems she'd like to avoid if at all possible.

At Kat's question the droid motioned to his copies,

"The Greycloaks will evac you out of there and bring you back here so you could be either treated or given proper burial."

HK quipped before adding,

"And then I will board them myself and personally finish this hunt."

He nodded curtly before asking,

"Anything else?"

As he spoke he glanced to [member="Lady Agony"] and [member="Nate the Bounty Hunter"]

"No, just try not to get stepped on." Shaking his head, he would feel multiple persons near, all unknown. That made red flags go off. Shouldering the bowcaster, he would hoist the weapon up, the sight a little below his eye.

"Where we expecting company tin-man?"

The droid paused at Nate's question,

"On the enemy ship and in front of your landing craft's ramp, you will know when they will start shooting at you."

With quick waves of his hand he motioned towards the stealth transport, the Knight of the Eclipse,

"Alright, we do not have time for this, we stood around and talked long enough. Go on, on board the lot of you, time to put your team work to the test. And do not forget to use the bolas I gave you at least once! It is kind of a tax-deductible sort of scenario if we would use them at least once."

He looked to his Greycloak guards and gave them a nod, they returned the gesture and moved aboard, taking up the pilot and co-pilot seats.

Once the whole team was in the stealth transport would jerk into life with a slight shudder, lifting them off of the durasteel floor of the hangar, pushing forward with its engines to pass through the shimmering shield of the Force field and sail into the void like a sailboat leaving a dock, HK was left behind in that large hangar of the super-carrier, waving to them goodbye like some sort of metal armored granny.

As the brilliant exchange of multi-color ion and turbolaser bolts continued to streak across the blackness of space, a black matte ship would roll and tumble through the battle. Its dark coat of stealth polymer rendering the vessel indistinguishable from the void itself. The droids behind the steering controls of the transport dodged all the stray projectiles in precise maneuvering and timing, staying in the blind spot of the rogue mercenaries' sensors until that moment they finally closed the gap and the stealth ship docked with the Ganks.

One of their docking bay door would hiss and spark up as it was blown open, suddenly, but the Ganks had enough time to prepare their defensive positions and any traps they could manage for a potential boarding party.

The time for holding hands was over as the hunters' real mission begun.

Kat entered the shuttle and moved up towards the cockpit, leaning against the door frame, watching as the ship exited the hanger. As quickly as the inky blackness had filled the viewport, bright flashes zipped past as turbo lasers fired away. "Right into the thick of it all." she muttered as the droids maneuvered around the incoming fire.

Not soon enough, the shuttle docked with the target ship. As soon as the doors opened, Kat took aim and fired. The resounding bang could be heard as the round left the barrel and buried itself in the skull of a Gank. The hunt had begun.

The Ganks have been known for a time even longer than HK's life, they were known to be ruthless, merciless, savage, cruel and barbaric. They used the messiest and hardest hitting weapons on any organic, even using worse ones if they found them, but they were mostly a threat only in large numbers, and little was specifically known about them other than their killing tendencies. Most knew if one were to fight enough of them, they probably won't make it back. But this group of bounty hunters were not fighting an army, just a ragtag group of dissenters that could never work in any of the guilds again for fear they would betray anyone they worked for. However, they were Ganks, and they would make this a bloody, gritty fight, especially for fresh hunters.

The ship that came in, eluded the Ganks personal, visual sensors, only sparse reports from the ships sensors. The weapons barely got any hits on it before it reached and docked, but the Ganks weren't afraid. This was going to be an all or nothing fight, as the Ganks had nothing left to go to, no more jobs they could get. Or maybe there were, but time was much too short. So if this was to be their last battle, the bounty hunters would feel it. They will feel the heat of their Blaster Cannons and the metal ripping flachette launchers. The pain of mental and physical anguish and exhaustion.

Their numbers were unknown, but enough to fight off average boarding parties. But this wasn't an average boarding party, since HK-36 would be attending. As the door flew open with fire and smoke, a bolt flew threw and took a Gank down. The other Ganks only rallied together, screaming something incoherent as they unleashed a flurry of weapons fire, causing severe damage to their own ship and some projectiles flying into the pressure room of the docking bay. There was a hall to the left and to the right, the right leading to the bridge, the left probably towards engineering or the engines. Another hall went straight forward, perhaps towards barracks, medbays, or anything - it was unknown - but it was full of Ganks going all the way down, giving them perfect sight and range of the docking bay door. Explosions and lasers flew in flurry.
