Grain By Grain Of Sand, It Builds

Vallory was lifting a beam and as she got it in place turned. Just in time to find her in Nyx's hold and she kissed back, accepting the gesture. Before pulling back. "We are a bit busy right now, you know...house to build...and all" she chuckled a bit. Even though she had not minded the gesture, not at all. Plus now her heart beat had paced slightly higher.

"Nyx" she narrowed her eyes at her slightly. Then, she smirked. "That can wait for later. I want the whole house done. All of it." She got back to it as there was a hum that would go over the island, the transport had come. Beginning to land just outside. "They can bring in the rest of the materials, can you tell them to dear?" she asked sweetly before returning to working on the frame. She was half done by now.

Vallory worked more before one of the workers came to help her. She turned to see them coming in. Just enough to get this place done in no time yet not be too crowded. It seemed about ten workers was just the right amount after all to hire. She sent two other to help Nyx with the flat area, and a few to work on other places. "Nyx, can you work up a blueprint for a training area?" she asked as she was now finishing the floor frame with help.

Vallory nodded to her. She was glad for her quick thinking as some workers looked over the blueprint as it was being made and then set to work. Setting up the groundwork of it at first. "Don't forget an area for athleticism!" Vallory wished to keep up with her flexible athletic work. With the floor frame now done, she set to work on the building frame itself for where they would set up the walls and such. She glanced over to Nyx, who was working just as hard it seemed. This was Nyx's gift to her, she realized. A home...and it made her shed a single tear at the thought.

Vallory skipped on over to see the blueprint and kissed her cheek for it. "Thank you! It is perfect, it will work fine for me" she said happily to Nyx. Vallory then went back to look over the house, seeing that a couple more workers set to work on it. So, she sat on the ground and began to meditate while they did so. It was what she paid them for. They didn't seem to fuss about it at all, at least. That was good.

Vallory hummed while in her meditation and nodded slowly. For now they would rest, even though she did want to try to help a bit with it. But for now she was rather tired. By how the progress was going it would no doubt take quite a while, no doubt carry into the night. "Meditate with me, Nyx."

Vallory let her mind drift. As she did, her mind went back far. Before her time in the Sith Empire, before meeting Amelia. Before coming to her master who she felt close to, Stardust. Before her fiance, Nyx. Her mind went far and eventually, she came out of it in a sudden jolt. She could not go back that far...Vallory glanced towards Nyx, seeing her in meditation.

"Nyx....what was life like, before you were taken under the wing of your master?" she asked, rather curious now.

Nyx didnt open her eyes or even have to think to answer "Terrible, I was taught that it was wrong to kill even though it was for the survival of my people, I left to find my own way, I was a drifter cold hungry and alone for a long time, it was in that time that I met you" She said reminiscing as she remembered the good old days before the invasions "when I met you it was a turning point"

@Vallory

Vallory turned away slightly from hearing that. Her life had been bad, with some ups. But not that bad. She put as an over Nyx's shoulders, to hold her and comfort her. "Then I am glad to have turned your life around...I was meant to work with thieves. They took advantage of my flexibility and light feet. I could sneak in without much notice. Slavers and law enforcement always on my heels for stealing." She lost her friend to them. She sighed. "I was forced to live by the street. Earn credits through...through not so looked upon methods."

Nyx listened quietly, she had become better at listening since she was taken in by her master off the streets she did not speak a word but simply looked at her with caring eyes and stretched out a hand

Vallory took Nyx's hand as she went on. She continued talking of her past, watching the builders now as they were putting up the walls. "I was found by a Sith...took me in as their apprentice. I was shown things. Power, given my own lightsabers she designed. But eventually, the training stopped. I never learned much. I had my first combat, and grew fearful..." Then, came where it all changed. She recalled it all vividly. And with their contact, allowed the vision to be shared with Nyx.

Fighting a green twi'lek. A giant almost, armored head to toe. Using the saber given by her Sith master. Fighting dirty, tossing dirt in her opponents face, keeping distance. Before the twi'lek's daughter, a young girl with all her rage and fear grasped Vallory. Nearly crushing her. A choice was given by her opponent. Be spared, seek her out later. Or die.

"Stardust spared my life...gave me a new one. As her apprentice...and more" Vallory added. Yes, they had been more than apprentice and master. And Vallory still owed her life to Stardust.

Nyx watched the vision, and it even scared her, she had one thing she had yet to show Vallory, this scared her so much she had to show her, so she lifted her shirt and said "babe this happened in one of the invasions" she showed her the scar that ran from the base of her ribs to her upper thigh

Vallory backed up slightly where she was sitting and looked to where she showed. And just stared. Vallory, she had no scars. If any, they were barely visible by now. But she had none from war. "Nyx...what happened?" she asked to her, suddenly worried. Stardust had many scars as well, but she had been through many battles. Yet she was also mostly metal. That worried Vallory, a lot.
