Cassandra Paige
Cruella DeVille
"Charmed," Cass replied, voice still a little faint but she managed a smile that was surely good enough for an alien who's facial expressions she couldn't accurately read anyway.
The herglic offered a rumbling that Cass could only assume was a chuckle at Itash's comment- she could feel it through the floor for goodness sakes.. She could see why that would be funny, especially considering the difference between his brawn and Kilaa's.
"I can be quite helpful at times. Isn't that right, Miss Paige?"
Oh lordy. Couldn't he just let her take the time she needed to get her feet back under her, could he?
"Mm," she responded with a nod. "Quite helpful indeed." If she'd been given the opportunity to go powder her nose or something, she could have been on her game for him, but no- if he would give her no chance to get herself back under control then he wasn't going to get much in return. Could she have? Yes.
But she was too annoyed to bother expending the effort if this was how this was going to go.
Her gratefulness didn't extend that far.
Kilaa glanced at her out of the corner of her large, black eyes then focused on Itash again.
"Harum, yes. You understand our problems of course, the jist of them? Does that sound like something in, hmmm your company's field of.... expertise?"
They didn't speak of it aloud. It was a delicate matter. Implied, by necessity. Neither knew if anyone from those competitors was here today, after all.
All three glanced over at the sound of jeering- a pit fight? Beast versus man. Cass wrinkled her nose.
Yes, she would always ask in the future just where he wanted to bring her.
