Graveyard--Justice Shipping; ask for invite

James drifted in and out of consciousness as his sister patched his body up. Jaw, broken ribs, bleeding arteries, and ruptured tissues were all amended in his body with the power of the Force flowing through her. At last he sat up, and watched as she began to take her sleep. His body still ached in protest. The star of this planet was beginning its decent, the spacer wanted badly to sleep.

But after a crash the first 12 hours were vital to survival. She had worked to keep him alive and now the spacer would return the favor. He surveyed what he had on him; his DeathHammer, a hold out blaster, his now ruined comm, a half a dozen powerpacks, his cigarettes, a knife, and a lighter. For once, he was sure that everyone was glad he was a smoker.

The spacer gathered a handful of kindling, mostly dried fungus and started a small fire, that soon was large enough to warm them all. He limped back to the wreck, looking for anything to salvage. His eyes caught a small shinning black box, he pulled it from the ground, dusting it off, it was an orange-handled signal flare. He stored that too, you never knew when anything could come in handy in situations like this. Heavy with exhaustion, the spacer leaned back against one of the glowing tree-like mushrooms to stay away. In the night, their beacon like glows were amazing, entrancing like the neon light shows of the big cities. He could hear the distant sound of a nocturnal avian singing amid the sound of the still smoldering ship. Even Thraxis was not too far away and seemed to be enjoying himself to a degree. James hinted a half smile as his eyes slowly closed, perhaps this world was not so bad after all.....

The white beast finally reached his location. It was a massive, hive-like mountain. Octoconal holes lined its entire stone exterior and for now, it seemed empty. The worm-like white being ran into the warren, inside it was a different story entirely. Hundreds of thousands of beings like it were rapidly crawling, scurrying, and fleeing along all manner of surfaces. The single one got lost in a sea of others, before reaching a pinnacle-like point. A dozen or so of the same beasts were conversing in a huddle. The first came to them, shouting in his native tongue, his teeth clacking in a resounding, excited nature. The others listened to his long, drawn out story.

After a few more moments, the exterior came to life. Dozens of the white creatures came flooding out like a terrifying wave. Their circular maws were open, revealing endless rows of pointed teeth. Their frenzy was synchronous, almost like water as they rampaged through the fungal forest.

Being the first to drift into the abyssal blackness of Sleep Thraxis eyes parted apart, looking at the front of the container, his eyes darted about. This wasn't apart of his dream. If it was he would be laxed in a chair made of carbonized Children and surrounded by pulsating Necrotic Flesh. But there was something similar to a dream. There were roars, hushed though they may be. He pulled himself up, taking careful steps to balance as he parted the containers lid, slowly creaking open as the roars got a little louder, he gently placed it against the wall of the container as he saw something.

His eyes focused into the darkness, the bright glow helping hims adjust as he looked around, a mass. A blob of white rushing across the landscape as Thraxis rubbed his eyes with disbelief. "Hmmm... Dunno if this is a good thing...." he said looking around for a few minutes as the horde got ever closer. "Or a bad thing." he pulled himself up and out. Landing with a thud as he looked to the surviving meat shields, the small embers still flicking along the Ship as he looked to the rest. He didn't want to risk using his gun, it might just draw their attention closer. Though from the looks of things. They were headed directly towards them.

Then it occurred, a flash, a blob of white rushing through the forest before. It must have been a scout of some sort. His eyes furrowed as his lips curled, flexing his legs as he rushed towards James. Readying his fist as he darted to James, his fist closing the distance as his legs against the ground as he came to a sudden halt, his arm thrusting forward towards James face, before pausing an inch away and releasing quite the mighty flick between his brow. "James. I imagine you know what that thing is." he said, his voice crumpling from his mask as he pointed towards the horde.

UNKNOWN LOCATION

The KR-TB Doomtreader cut through hyperspace with near-lethal velocity. The experimental drives were both dangerous and exceedingly fast. In fact, they were said to be faster than almost any known freighter possessed, but they came at a great cost. No one knew its limits. Albeit it was not the drive that was the problem, it was something on the sensor.

"She's dropped," the HRD Willow said with a hint of panic. They were following the ship known as Miss Fortune. The pin-prick that marked her location on the sensors vanished. Before Julian could even mutter a word Willow had her hand on the hyperdrive switch, she flicked it without permission. The entire ship rattled, beams began to screech loudly. The Ugnaught mechanic Boltz went squealing down the hall as he made for the engine room, he popped a case off the wall and quickly climbed into the conduits - usually reserved for internal wiring, but the Ugnaught had been using them as 'maintenance corridors.'

"What in the hell are you doing," Valentine barked at the droid, Willow was quick to quip back at her owner, "If we kept going for even a second longer we'd be millions of kilometers away from them by now, and they vanished off the grid." She placed her index finger down on the sensor panel and poked at the non-existent pin that had been reserved for Miss Fortune. "I was forced to shut down our drives so that we may locate them."

Julian made no comment. He knew she was right, yet he felt the urge to argue anyway, so he chose to bite his tongue for now. Just because she was a droid didn't make her better, it made her inferior. His eyes returned to the viewport, and his mouth became agape. A planet rested in his view, it seemed to be split in half by an unknown catastrophe. Asteroids as large as continents floated in orbit, and a small blip lighted up on his screen. It was the Miss Fortune, she wasn't landing on the planet, she was crashing.

The ship shuddered, and he grabbed the controls. The freighter was moving faster than it should, something was pulling it in. Rapid acceleration catapulted the Paragon towards the planet, and Willow made the call. "All hands on deck, get to your harnesses." Valentine was already strapped in, and with nothing else to do, he allowed the HRD to take the reins.

The KR-TB blazed a trail through the atmosphere, following behind Miss Fortune who came to a sudden crash two clicks afar. The Paragon soared over her, and beyond, towards jungles and mountains. Willow manned the yoke fiercely, commandeering the vessel into a uncomfortable landing. The KR-TB bounced once, twice then thrice before coming to a still against the bole of a great tree. She was intact, but the crews stomachs weren't. The Ugnaughts mouth exploded with bile.

Gavin XIII

Sour Candy Sithspawn
Gavin was pretty much tired of sitting on top of his tree. He wanted to get down, and he wanted food. When he woke up, he was absolutely determined to get at least one of those goals accomplished. His legs were still completely unresponsive, so he started to move back and forth until finally he slid out of the tree and belly flopped onto the ground. Ouch. What was even worse was that he seemed to have landed on something rather hard. He pushed himself up with his arms, then gaped at the white creature that was now crushed and oozing blood.

The first thought that came to mind was 'ew, gross, a squished worm thing.' The next thought, though, is what made him scoop up a hunk of bloody alien worm meat and start munching on it. It tasted absolutely disgusting, but at least it seemed to be edible. But then there was a screech, and a very much alive bug came out from seemingly nowhere. Now, watching them move was even nastier. But... food. As his body absorbed the worm meat, the feeling slowly began to come back to his legs.

"YEAH! COME ON! COME HERE SO I CAN EAT YOU, GODDAMMIT!"

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay slept soundly for a little while. It wasn't as though she was tired. Her body just needed recovering. While [member="James Justice"] had gone off to search through the wreckage, she woke up. Her robe was still on the ground and so she wrapped it around herself. Night would be coming soon, and even though her nightgown was appropriate, it wasn't for sleeping outside. She grabbed her satchel and slowly got to her feet. If anyone were to ask, she'd merely tell them that she was going to get changed. It was handy that she always had an extra set of clothes rolled up in her satchel. And now was her time to use them.

Not wanting to betray her modesty, she set off into the fungal forest in search of a spot where she wouldn't get spied on. As she made her own pathway through, she caught the glimpse of something peculiar. It was white in places and moved slightly with the wind. Kay gripped the strap of her satchel and continued forward, curious as to what it could be. As she got closer, she had to rub her eyes and look again. Was that....a tea set?

http://www.inkagency.lt/get.php?i.320:w.736:h.562

She wasn't dreaming. In this odd place that they crashed on, she had stumbled upon an abandoned tea party. Kay approached the table and inspected it, touching the cups, the saucers, everything. Whomever crashed here before were highly sophisticated. There didn't appear to be any city or town nearby to warrant such luxury. So who left it? And what happened to them?

Kay took a look around, searching the overgrowth for the remains of a ship. And there it was...

http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1947785&d=1397343369

Cautiously she approached, for it looked like people were guarding it. Yet....They didn't move. They were like statues. Kay frowned as she got even closer. The people weren't statues at all. They were dead. And for a while, it seemed. Their clothing hung on their nearly skeletal forms. Bits of flesh still remained. Some had armour, some didn't. The decay was so bad that she couldn't tell how they had died. Ones that seemed to have been standing were tied to posts. Was it a warning?

Kay shivered. She needed to get changed and the wreckage provided her some privacy, so she went inside. It was cluttered, yet dry, though the air felt heavy. She plopped her satchel down on a table and changed into her trousers and shirt. There was a jacket in there too. The material was thin, but it provided ample warmth and protection from wind and rain. She rolled up her nightgown and robe, placing them inside of her satchel, all the while pondering on who the ship belonged to.

It was getting darker out there, but there was still enough light for her to see, so she started to inspect the wreckage for anything that could be useful to them. There was a little bit of food rations, but it was hard to tell it's age. More than likely it was too old.

She moved towards the back only to discover a room with a bit more privacy. Here was where the luxury was. The bed was covered in dust, yet the blanket looked as though it was made in fine materials. A small dresser held a fancy mirror, brush and a small bottle of what could have been a perfume. Kay opened the top drawer and found a bit of clothing inside, all in different shades of her favourite colour, blue. After closing it she opened the bottom drawer and discovered something that sent a chill down her spine. It was an Imperial Officer's uniform. Of course she had never quite seen one in person, only on the holonet and holotv. Though smaller now, she knew that remnants of the Empire still remained. She saw the executions of some of them at the hands of the Republic during the coup.

Underneath the uniform she found an old datapad. It was at least 20 standard years old. But did it still work? A framed photo was underneath it and she took that out too. It was the picture of a man that she knew that she had seen before. Ages ago. Or perhaps in a dream.

joel-gretsch-2.jpg

Kay sat down on the edge of the bed and turned it on. The screen flickered a few times but then the processors were brought back to life. Straight away a video began playing. It was of a woman, recording herself as she lay in the very bed that Kay was sitting on, though she looked physically and emotionally drained. Despite all of that, she couldn't help but notice the similarities in their features as the woman spoke.

"My Mother always told me, don't die with a heavy conscience, for you will never rest in the afterlife. Until now I always figured that that was utter nonsense. Yet now as death takes the survivors almost weekly, I can't help but wonder if maybe she was right. I have done a lot of good deeds, am an officer of good standing within the Empire, I even married a fine Commander with the aspirations and focus to rise even higher within the ranks. And he did. With my support he became a Moff. Though whether or not he succeeds even higher, I will probably never see. Our signals don't seem to reach anywhere. They just bounce off the debris orbiting the planet. More than likely I will never see him again. Now I know what our daughter felt when we sent her away. That was a mistake that I only regret now. She was an abomination, a Force user. My husband hated Force users and always had. Their ability to manipulate objects and people only displayed their weakness for not being able to accomplish things on their own. I tried to get her to hide it when I found out, but she was too stubborn, thought that it was some game. No child of ours was going to be an abomination and our warnings to her failed. So we had no choice. Rather than ruining our careers and our legacy, I shipped her off to Naboo where she could at least have a chance to do something for herself. I wonder if she did? As my husband longed for her death, all ties to her were severed, so we may never know what her fate was. Our son, our first born faired much better. As busy as we were we couldn't raise him ourselves, but my sister and her husband took him in and saw to it that he had a proper upbringing. My husband was odd that way. He believed that children needed to earn their place in life and not just have things given to them through the hard work and efforts of their parents. But he still kept tabs on our son. Even now, he gathers intel weekly and both of us are very proud of his succession through the ranks of the First Order. My regrets are in not being there for at least a good portion of their lives. Our priorities were in the wrong place. I can't change the past, but I can try to rectify it. If I make it off of this world, I will try to make contact. Even if they don't believe me or understand, at least I would have told them and they would know why. We are both to blame. Even if I don't get off this fungal rock, recording this has helped alleviate this burden from me. Someone will find it some day. When they do, see if they can locate Wren Amedis. With her they will find out the whereabouts of our son, Kyle. Our daughter, Kay was dropped off at an orphanage in Theed. Whether she was adopted or kept her name, I have no idea. Perhaps finding her is a lost cause. I am Admiral Loreena, married to Moff Tobias Larr. Let our children know of their real family. It could help them rest in the afterlife too. If that Force stuff really does guide us as some say, then maybe the odds of them learning the truth and finding eachother are far better than we believe. Only time will tell. But give Kay this warning. If Tobias learns of her survival, he may kill her himself. His hatred of Force users has only grown through the years....So that's it. I have nothing more to say other than goodbye."

The video ended. Kay just stared at the datapad, saying nothing, doing nothing but breathe. For years she had grown up not knowing at all who her parents were or anything about them. Was this all true? If it was then this was her mother's ship. Her mother lay in this very bed that she sat in. She clenched her jaw and set the datapad and picture on the bed, then brought her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. Imperials. Her family were a part of the Empire. And they hated Force users. No wonder she felt the need to hide so much. No wonder she felt the need to travel so much. No wonder she excelled at times with being a leader. It was all starting to make sense. It was all in her bloodline.

But the question was, now that she had this information....what was she to do with it?

Stardust couldn't sleep...no...she was awake as ever and only listened to the sounds of a alien planet...to which was oddly beautiful and peace

She watched James go and explore the wreck and [member="Lady Kay"] go to change, she nodded and stood as she hefted her blaster and walked out..she needed to walk around a bit

She sighed as she gently stepped looking around...whu did she get the feeling she was being watched...never mind she kept on walking till she came to a old ship.

It was quiet old..looked kntavy all expect for the engines...she entered and looked around in the low light and began walking gently"odd..."she said to herself as she jumped finding a body but calmed herself...seems they weren't the first here...certainly probably won't be the last either

She moved around as she looked through the supplies and found a few things..powercells what looks like something for a tent and...were those ration packs of instabread...she started filling a sack up and smiled as she stood as she explored further and stopped at a room...some reason there was ahurry

She entered it and looked around...pretty normal for a room...plenty of things scattered about...books...holopad..holodisks...even clothing...seemed like they were on a hurry

Anyhow she picked up a couple disks and found a holopad and placed one in, she watched it flicker a few times before she gave a small shocl to it and watched it blaze to life showing a group of spieces of different colors but the most prominent being green...she recognized some...two being her parents... And..her between them as a kid...however...the others she didn't remember...were those friends? of hers...people who worked for her parents? ?...the skeletons did seem varying ..so someone here knew her parents

She turned as she felt movement.... Something was close...she grabbed whatever she could and darted out back to the camp site and stopped as she watched something white run"

She stopped and turned back to [member="Thraxis"] and [member="James Justice"] as she had her blaster raised"thraxis I don't think anyone...knows what is on here"she said as she looked around

They were there. Back at the apartment. Laughing. Joking. Having breakfast. The times were back, before all the bad things had happened, back before the accident on Alderaan. It was a dream, James knew it and that is what made it all the more blissful. His long dead wife, Leighlah, was with him. He always dreamed of Leighlah. With them were his children, Brooklyn, Jessica, and Calvin.

He brushed his wife's beautifully pale cheek with a gentle hand. It was as lovely as he had remembered. So young. So sweet. Just like the flower that had freshly bloomed.

"I've never gotten over you," he said, loosing himself in her dark eyes, "You are, you always have been, my shining star. I never met another woman like you."

Leighlah closed her eyes, melting at his touch.

"I love you now, I always will. I always have, and I always will," James said, he could feel the words flowing from his lips faster than he could realize what he was saying, "I knew from the day that I lost you, I knew that I would never love another woman. And I've never loved them," the spacer could feel tears in his eyes, "I have been so lonely ever since you left."

She opened her eyes, the dark, perfectly shaped brown eyes locking on his. There was warmth. Kindness, "I never left you, James. I died, but I am still with you. Always."

A tear slid down his cheek as James stiffed a tear, "I want to believe it. I really do. I wish it was true but--"

"James," she interrupted him softly, her hand caressed his rough, bearded cheek, "Its time for you to wake up. They need you."

"Please," James begged, "Don't make me wake up."

"They need you," she insisted. "Go find me. Go to the Well of Souls. There you will find me."

Suddenly James felt himself catapulted back into consciousness. His body lurched forward, coming within inches of the hissing and squealing maw before him. The thousands of teeth in it were curved inward--there was no escape once a thing went inside. Of course James knew what the thrashing thing in [member="Thraxis"]' hands were. They were every spacer and pirate's nightmare. He remembered the tales by the old me sitting around the Sabbaac tables. The beasts were vicious with appetites that could not be satisfied.

The spacer drew his pistol without hesitatiion, bringing the pommel down in a vicious slam on its head. Purple blood and bits of teeth went flying out of it as the creature grew still. There were more, coming over the hill.

"Frelling hell!" James roared. His blaster took aim and quickly blasted two off with a shot each, "Lugubraa! Kay, where the frelling hells are you??"

"Oh. Neat." he said, he had no idea what they were all he knew from looking at them was one thing. He wanted that epic Jawline. His digits ran along his armor, pulling out one of his Pistolas and taking aim at a readily approaching one, a faint grin as he felt the pulse of metal spew fourth a hardy recoil as the gun arched back. A bullet whizzing through the air meeting with flesh as one of them fell to the ground with a thud, though the horde was tenacious imply rushing over it as Thraxis took a few steps back.

He took a few steps back, looking at his shipping container, he loved that container, it got him through a Hard time. But boy what a time. He quickly jumped up, closing the door to give him an elevated standing point as his gun aimed down, taking another hard recoil as a second fell down. He wanted to go berserk, jump into the center of the fray and spray and pray all around, but his armor was limited to ten shots now and he had no fuel left in his boots.

As he rose atop he realized that James was right, his eyes darted about the place, where the hell was she. A flare burnt in his eyes, his teeth grinding against each other as his tongue flicked and hissed, No. Not her. I need her alive. "No one else can break her. She is mine. Nobody can hurt her but me.... it is my... divine right." he said as his brow furrowed, his face twisting into a sadistic look as his lips parted, letting loose a blood filled scream.

It was getting darker outside. She should head back. Kay slipped the old datapad and photo inside her satchel, then made her way out of the wreckage. For a moment she was a little lost, but managed to find her bearings before long.

The panicked yell from [member="James Justice"] echoed through the trees, causing her to quicken her steps.

And then she heard the blasters and pistols going off. "I'm coming!!" She drew out her own blaster as she jogged through the fungal forest towards their crash site. Who were they fighting? As she broke the treeline she saw them, lots of them, evil looking white creatures that moved like predatory ghosts. Kay joined in the firefight. Even with her blaster set to stun, the energy bolt was too strong for them and killed them anyways. Her eyes darted up towards [member="Thraxis"] as he took shots from the top of his container. Was he screaming earlier too? More than likely.

Maybe it was a good thing that these creatures came now. It gave her something else to focus on and think about. She had no idea of when she would tell anyone of her discovery. It was private. It was personal. And it wasn't all good news. It could have been worse though. No matter how bad things got, they could always get worse. Though it didn't often happen, it was a lesson that she was starting to learn.

There was hardly any sight of the massive freighter that had landed on the planet. It had taken the crew of the Paragon well into dusk to cover the KR-TB with enough brush and foliage that from most distances it would become indiscernible. From ten meters away it looked like a dense bush to Julian Valentine. With little to do while Boltz fixed the communications array, sensors and the ion drive, Julian began to make his march towards the crash site of Miss Fortune.

Valentine pushed his way through the forests, he was utterly alone. There was little else but the chirping of birds above and the crunching of twigs and leaves from beneath him. The sun had set, blanketing this quarter of the world in darkness. The dense forestry did naught to aid him, he was forced to peer heavily as his Hammerhead Helm did a poor job of re-adjusting to the extreme low light levels.

Pew! Pew pew! The sound was distinct and undeniably a blaster. Birds took to flight, and there came a heavy swaying in the branches above. Valentine had a poor feeling about what was ahead. His nerves suddenly jolted, and each step felt heavy. He readjusted his bandoleers, making sure he was as ready as ever. He was a crackshot and quick to the draw, it's how Valentine had garnered such a successful career.

A clearing broke out ahead, and he saw the flashes of light. Neon reds, greens and blues. It sounded like the whole crew of the Miss Fortune were fighting for their lives. His presence was not yet known, and he moved to make it so when he spotted Lady Kay. He stopped in his tracks and began to backpedal the way he came. His head turned and he saw a grassy knoll.

The surrounding trees provided enough cover that he would not be spotted, but he had enough of a clear shot his cycler rifle could give a hand. He peered down the iron sights and waited. Moments past, it felt like an eternity for Valentine, then something white shot past. Then more, and more. There seemed to be a swarm of them attacking the crew. Without hesitation, not the blink of an eye, he lined up the shot. His finger squeezed the trigger. Thunder boomed. As loud as a cannon. A white creature went down in a splatter of blood and brain matter.

Stardust had her blaster out as she kept on shooting reloading shooting reloading before cursing and putting her weapon away and pulled her sabers out as she watched the horse approach and inhaled"everyone duck!"she said as she saturated the force and release a flaming attack as she watches many burn to a nice crisp yet even as she stopped she watched others run over their kin and keep going as she ducked and sliced ones entrails out

These frakkimg things won't stop coming"she said as she punched one and stabbed down as she looked and saw Kay running towards them as she looked at the three before being body slammed by one as she wrestled with it grunting as she moved her right arm away and started transforming it into blaster mode before pressing it into the creature and letting a volley of shots out"grrrr feth off you creepy things"shw said and stood as she panted and stood by the group"how y'all holding up

James had never encountered the Lugabraa before, but he had heard the legends from other spacers. The beings were fierce, willing to eat anything, and all but mindless, according to the legends. As he stood blasting off rounds, he could believe the horrors and more. Their white, slimey, putrid bodies glistened with the sheen of the firelight in the night. One hurled itself at James's head, the spacer's heightened reflexes let him move just in time to watch the beast ram maw-first into the fungus he had been leaning on. A spray of purple blood and slime splattered out when the Spacer crushed it under his blaster's barrel. Twisting back, he leveled to shoot again--nothing. He gave the weapon a quick glance, some of the slime had splattered into the ignition sequence, jamming the weapon until it could be cleaned.

"Fething hells," James growled.

His left hand reached to his belt, whipping out his knife in a wide slash. The blade wounded one of the slug-like creatures. The moment it went down, his heel crushed what was left of the wiggling mass. As another Lugabraa charged him, James brought his booted foot up in a vicious kick; the steel toe crushed some of its ribs, ellicting a hissing screech and halting the slug where it stood. James' blade came down in a hail of savage stabs down on its body. He had no head, eyes, or distinguishing features to go for, so the spacer eviscerated all of it that he could reach. He was running out of steam, and he had a feeling they all were. Taking a few steps back he set himself for another offensive.

Then a hideous smell filled the air, a stench that mixed with the putrid bile of death that had come to reek the place. The closest James could come to recon with it was the smell of a wet wookiee with a fungal infection mixed with the smell of a female Weequay in heat's hormones. It was so strong, James gagged. When he looked up, he could see the retreating forms of the Lugabraa. Their dead were massed on the ground in a heap of steaming, filthy flesh. The spacer whipped a bit of their sick blood from his face, had the losses gotten to great for them to handle? Was it the smell that had driven them away?

"We need to get the frells out of here," James announced, "Its too dangerous, we need to get to higher ground, or somewhere that we can at least have a vantage point. Is everyone alright?"

A Lugubraa had gotten behind the lines, its body moving with silence as it approached, its body pulling back before lunging towards Thraxis, its mandibles roaring with a heavy growl as it dropped atop him, Thraxis dropping down and into the crate, the monsters jaws trying its best to tear at its preys neck.

Thraxis wrestled with the beast, his hand pushing back against the monsters entire weight, its teeth getting closer and closer as he peered deep into the mighty set of bloody teeth, the scent of death boding strong with the scars that laced the creatures hide. Thraxis wished the teeth would spin, causing a devastating effect as they tore into the skin and metal. That would have been a wonderful sight.

Thraxis flicked out his needle, his body twisting and turning as he inched closer to the beast. After a few seconds of futile struggling he released his grip, letting the teeth meet with Phirik as he injected his Somatoll into the skin, afterwards grabbing the beast by its head and pushing it back, he watched as it tried to climb out, its body becoming limp as it fell out with a thud.

After a few seconds Thraxis followed, looking at his new friend, "Guys! I got a prisoner!" he said as he picked up the beast with a heavy groan. Looking around the group with a satisfying grin though it was masked behind his Re-breather, his voice crumpled as always.

The Sesie were soft in their machinations. Delicately, their brittle hands cast ointments born out of nearby fauna, that they believed helped their sacrifice reach 'the other plain' quicker. Poisonous, the sacrifice would leave life quicker, already near death by the time they reached the flames. Indeed, by the time Darth Ayra was delivered to the nearby bonfire, constructed by the tribes men, the women that surrounded and applied the ointment to her exposed skin would know that she would be delirious, barely conscious, by the time of the ritual. This was considered fair, as it wasn't the intention of the Sesie to cause the sacrifice to suffer. But it was necessary to do this ritual, as their Gods continued to offer protection and guidance to their harsh world.

A day passed by, with the Sesie working tirelessly to complete the ritual. The Gods had delivered one of their own from the skies, they said. After all, they had never lain their eyes upon such a creature. It was nothing like the animals that they hunted and consequentially hunted them, nor was it like any one of them either. This fallen God had fallen and it was their role in the grand of schemes to return it where it belonged. Otherwise, a great calamity would befall the great Sesie and their people, who had lived and survived upon the terrible Visuom for centuries, awaiting the day that they could return to the holy sands of their ancestors, as it was written.

By the time that the bonfire was prepared, a night and day had passed back into the next night. All of the Sesie had gathered for this event. Many had been sacrificed to the Gods. From the young and sick, to the strong and brave. The wisest of the Sesie, at the brink of death, were offered to the Gods in the hope that they would learn of the peoples suffering and finally deliver them from Visuom. But it was yet to be. No signs had come, until now. The greatest fire in their history had been erected and it burned so high that the sky itself seemed to be ablaze. The Gods would hear the cries of the Sesie and they would be delivered from their hell.

Ok. One hour late might have been fine. Maybe even six. But a whole day? Something happened out there in space. He was waiting on Soceras for their arrival with desperately needed supplies. He had things set up for them. But none of them came. The last he heard, they were on their way. Could pirates have taken them hold? Those foodstuffs and building supplies would definitely be worth more than a pretty credit. He packed his usual weapons, going with his Harpy rifle from his time with the Sith instead of his particle beam rifle. Other than that, his sword, dual pistols, and his small pistol from the Mirrorverse tucked away. Making sure everything was well, he boarded his ship and set out in search for his missing friends and acquaintances.

Kay kept firing at them, killing them when she thought that she was just knocking them out. And then the remaining ones retreated. The putrid smell soon wafted into her nose. She covered her nose and mouth with her sleeve, then looked to the mushroom-like trees. "Up there would be good. For the moment at least."

Kay saw that [member="James Justice"] and [member="Stardust"] were more or less okay. And then she saw [member="Thraxis"] carrying one of the creatures. That came at no surprise. It still made her uncomfortable that he was there. So she started through the woods and began to climb one of the mushroom trees. At least up there the air seemed fresher. But what caused that smell was still unknown.

She was still firokg even as they ran before she started coughing at some horrid smell and grabbed her helmet as she slipped it on and inhaled as she could smell it standing she looked around and to James

Well...I suggest we move away from them....I rather not go towards those things"she said and shivered as she picked her stuff up and started walking away from where the things were heaodmg

Amid the chaos of the fight James hadn't seen [member="Julian Valentine"]. If he had, then the spacer would have probably been able to wave the man over for help.

Instead the spacer looked at [member="Thraxis"] and suppressed a groan. Why was he not surprised that the psychopath had captured one of the worms? He suppressed the urge to shatter the Lugarbbaa's head and thought for a moment. Maybe this thing had a use. Maybe they could take it back to Soceras and experiment on how to best destroy these creatures for when they came back. Not if, when. His dream was enough to convince the spacer that his business here would not soon be over.

"Good work," he said genuinely, "Come on, let's get up to higher ground."

The spacer jumped and grabbed one of the fungal low-lying limbs. He scampered up as best he could to a vantage point. That was when the worst idea hit him, what if they can climb? We are doomed.

"See anything up there, Kay?" James shouted.

He looked to the mushrooms then to his new found pet, Baronson von Heinderreich, a lyrical name if ever there was one. Of course, he was only guessing the gender, if it was a girl he would be most disappointed and have to think up an equally lyrical name for his new found pet. This would be a troublesome job to get his pet up the mushrooms, but with a heave and a hove he tried his hardest, his muscles asking after minutes of trying to carry both of them up the tree.

Soon he fell with a thud, the pet landing atop his body with a loud thud as his whole body squeaked as the air rushed from his body. He took a deep breath, pushing his pet off of him and taking it to the container, locking it up so his pet couldn't get out. His hands clapped together as he looked back to the mushrooms then towards the ship.

After a few seconds he decided the ship would be the better chose, especially with the flicking and dancing embers to keep him warm through the night. He stumbled over to the massacre, grabbing a few of the more underdeveloped beasts and taking them over to one of the rooms that had been spared the brunt of the impact, placing the beasts down in front of the door in hopes to hide his scent.

Taking off out of the atmosphere, he used the onboard scanners to try and see if he could see anything. After waiting and retrying for a full minute, nothing came up. He brought up a holomap of the area between where they should have left and their supposed arrival point, and maped out the path he would have taken if he had jumped to hyperspeed. They passed right through a large patch of uninhabited space. More like uncharted, but it had to have happened around there. If there was something around there like an unnoticed planet or a asteroid field, pirates could have taken up base and attacked the cargo ship. With who was on it, it was a good probability that they would get out alive. But last time he had not helped someone, they had gotten themselves killed.

He set his ship to hyperspeed, and rocketed off. Every minute he would power it down, scan around, then continue on his way. This way he would see anything that came up here.
