Heeding the Call (Raxian Empire Opening)

Veiere exhaled quietly in thoughtful and reluctant silence as he continued to peer out towards the adrift planet as if there were something changing about it, something holding his attention. He was appreciative that [member="Lady Kay"] was asking him of his advice though the suggestion he was about to leave her with might have sounded a little odd. "Rather than slip in unannounced and leave him with a sour taste in his mouth, why don't we knock on the front door so to speak. Send word ahead and contact him or whoever he has with him to announce your visit before we reach the atmosphere; that way there'll be no surprises on our end and if anything goes wrong, we came on diplomatic venture and everything else will all simply be passed off as coincidental, no tying you to any foul play. If he refuses, then we can sneak in regardless but I'd rather hope that he'll want to meet the new Lady of Commenor, face to face...." He chuckled quietly to himself before turning to look to Kay.

There was little about the suggestion that went against her plans, they'd be allowed to dock and the cargo could be dispersed through her smuggler friend whilst they attended a scheduled visit over tea on seemingly friendly terms. The Moff would not be disappointed in that they hadn't trespassed but he would have had to openly invite them in, and Veiere would feel a little more relieved at their chances of getting out without any bloodshed. "Unorthodox but it does lessen the chance for violence...".

Kay nodded to [member="Veiere Arenais"] ' suggestion. It was one that she had thought of at the beginning, to be the distraction. She just didn't word it properly, didn't relay it right. But at least the two of them were on the right page now. And at least she had the Jedi with her on case things went sour. "That's a good plan. As soon as Denn arrives, we can send word. And fortunately I always have a case of Commenori Brandy on board. Not for my own consumption, of course, but for diplomatic missions it is always good to arrive with a gift. You might say it's customary."

She chewed the inside of her cheek as she mulled over ideas in her head. "And what if he says no and doesn't wish to see me?" There was always a chance of that happening. Kay had that happen before when she was a Senator. It was the way that some exerted their power and position; by refusing a visit or meeting. Politics was a game and quite often, people didn't play fairly. Though despite her years within it, she refused to become one of the bad ones. Maybe that was why she was elected in the first place.

[member="Lady Kay"]

Veiere nodded briefly, it was certainly possible that they'd get shut out, perhaps with the right offer, he might not refuse. "Why don't you suggest that you want to open up trade routes with the system, bring in potential commerce. If he stands to make a profit, he would be silly to refuse. I imagine news of your new position would have spread this far, and to be visited by the Lady herself with so little an escort might speak of your confidence in him as a leader..." His eyes squinted slightly as he watched the planet turn, as if taking a moment to ascertain something before glancing back to her, "Trust in the Force, let it guide you; something tells me this man will be rather interested to meet with you".

"In any case, if discussions fail then we will move in under the guise of another vessel as previously planned. You may not have the same opportunity for this distraction yet you could always be there under the need to refuel before making a disappointed journey back home at being rejected by this great and powerful Moff of a man..." There was enough sarcasm in his tone to cause Terrac himself to turn around and look back at him, as if Jedi weren't able to make jokes.

Kay slowly nodded. It was true that her escort was so small, and The Free Lady didn't carry a whole lot by the way of weapons. However it's shields were top notch. They just tended to drain the ship's power if used for too long. "Yes, that's a good thing about Commenor. I could always use it's proximity for trade routes as a way to barter. Coruscant, no matter who controls it, is still a major hub for commerce and we happen to be in it's path along the route. It's probably one of the main reasons that our infrastructure and warehouse districts have never been destroyed."

As [member="Veiere Arenais"] spoke of the Grand Moff more than likely being interested in seeing her, she felt a chill go down her spine. More often than not, gaining a tyrant's interest was hardly a good thing. Yet as he spoke sarcastically about the Moff, she had to laugh. "So you're suggesting that I use his ego against him, shall I? If it's one thing that I've found in common with tyrants, it is that they have large egos."

Kay thought about it for a moment and then nodded. "Alright, that's the approach we'll take. I have three other security officers here. One will come with us and the other two can stay to guard the Free Lady and Terrac." Now her confidence in this mission was starting to go up again.

Objective: A/D

A flurry of blaster fire tore through the smoke as the re-reinforcements arrived. And this time, they were not small patrol droids on a simple tank run. Spider droids, Hailfires, B-2s, and a torrent of blood-lusting crab droids poured in from the head of the street. Ardgal released the E-web's tripod pin, pulling it to his hip. Missiles soared through the air, tearing into the nearby buildings, the explosion was deafening; a wave of heat, stone, and rebarb bits sailed through the air. Leaning into the weapon, Ardgal gave the E-Web bursts of fire. The blaster shots batted down B-2s and crab droids, dropping them into husks of smoke.

The enemy replied with a second barrage of hellfire missiles. Ardgal leapt from his perch, the flaming tank's remains exploded behind him in a glorious display of destruction. Ardgal propped himself against in one of the other burned out speeders, "Where is Phase 2?"

"Phase 2 is en route, commander," came the reply, "ETA Five minutes, Sir."

"I don't have five minutes," Ardgal grunted, sending a spider droid toppling into a squad of B-2s.

A rocked soared over Ardgal's head, arcing its way from behind him into one of the Hellfire droids as it emptied its payload. The mobile missile platform's wheels were sent spinning through the air, crashing into other Hellfire droids and sending them off on their sides. The fresh missiles went careening wildly, creating a blast zone of metallic death from the droids in front of them.

A man stepped into view, his hands popped another rocket into the shoulder rocket launcher he clutched. He looked back at Ardgal and gave him a smile, "You alright?"

The god of war gave a nod. This guy was new, he definitely wasn't one of their volunteers, and judging by the way he was moving, this man had skills like few others. "Yes. Who are you?"

The man looked back at the enemy and fired his second rocket. The shot soared through the air, tearing into the ground before two spider droids. Both went up in a ball of fire. "Name's Strongbow. How long until we get back up?"

Ardgal pulled out his blaster pistols, "Five."

The man pulled a pair of slugthrower pistols from his back and nodded, "We can hold this for five."

With a slight jerk and a flash of light, the YG-4210 dropped from hyperspace near Doldur. He wasn't exactly sure what he'd be flying into but as he checked his scanners, he saw nothing terribly amiss. As he began to approach closer to the planetary body, he detected another ship. Narrowing his eyes, he looked at the display readout. Definitely a YT model freighter, but it didn't look like a standard configuration. As he approached, another message displayed on his scanners. Taking a breath, he leaned back in his chair. The ship had been identified as "The Free Lady", a modified YT-1300 model owned by [member="Lady Kay"]. Well, he'd made it this far, now to see what the fuss was about. He knew the basics, but he was interested in what exactly he'd be needing to do... and how much he'd be getting paid.

As he brought his ship closer, he opened a short range, point to point transmission. He made sure to send it through the scrambler before transmitting.

:: Free Lady, this is the Genesis. Denn Ralto here, requesting permission to come aboard. ::

He positioned his ship near "The Free Lady" preparing to dock using the airlock on the starboard side of his ship as he waited for clearance. Once docked he'd be able to make his way aboard and figure out the plan of attack.

Obj - A/D Fight droids, dev paladins

Strongbow and Ardgal charged to cover, their pistols blazing with shots. The droids returned fire, their blasters and lasers tearing through the air.

Ardgal holsters one of his pistols and grabbed a metal strut from the ground. It's end had twisted and snapped into a jagged, cruel edge. "Do you think you can draw their fire for a few seconds?"

Strongbow loaded a fresh magazine into his pistols, "Of course."

Ardgal sprinted from his position sprinting to what remained of one of the nearby buildings. Strongbow popped over the edge of his cover, firing off bullets in a steady stream of fire. Ardgal planted his foot on one of the walls, his boots slapped against the duracrete, propeling him further up as his momentum pushed him forward. A blaster shot grazed his shoulder, shattering part of the building under his feet. Ardgal jumped off it, twisting clear and launching himself towards a nearby spider droid. His right foot planted on its massive metal leg, and he pushed off it, toward the building's rubble going upward again. He twisted in the air, just enough for both of his legs to spring off the pinnacle of the rubble. Summersaulting through the air, Ardgal arched over the line of enemy blasters and laser. At the peak of his trajectory, Ardgal hurrled the twisted metal rod down, right into the heart of the spider droid. Its round body erupted into a mass of flames as the reactor core inside was torn in two.

Ardgal landed on one of the other spider droids, his feet landing hard on the metal body. The flurry of blaster fire followed him there, the general barely had time to leap clear of the assault. He felt the heat trailing in the wake of the attack brush against his skin. He landed on his right arm with a sickening pop. He let out a grunt of pain. The enemy closed in around him, Ardgal shifted his weight and prepared to make a vallient last stand when the metallic bodies began to drop.

"Come on!" Strongbow shouted, his pistols blazing. "Get to cover!"

Ardgal pressed through the opening, dodging to cover behind one of the duracrete piles.

"How bad is it?" Strongbow shouted as he ducked to reload.

"Shoulder, dislocated," Ardgal grunted clutching his left shoulder.

The air was filled with the sound of dropships. Their guns rattled with heavy fire, reducing the enemy to ash as the Alpha Company Comandos rapelled to the ground.

"Area clear," came the report.

Ardgal popped his shoulder back in place. His rapid healing kicked in and the general's shoulder was soon back in working order.

"Denn, this is Kay. Permission granted."

Terrac kept The Free Lady steady so that the Genesis could line up properly. Once the airlocks were set, he nodded to Kay. It wouldn't be that difficult for [member="Denn Ralto"] to find them as the ship wasn't very big.

She looked to [member="Veiere Arenais"] as they waited. "A third point of view couldn't hurt. And it'll be nice to have an extra hand." Kay wasn't sure if she was looking for an excuse to back out or what. But suddenly the idea of meeting a tyrant of a Grand Moff made her a little nervous. But that's what happened with the unknown. Trust in the Force, her trusted bodyguard would say.

She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly once Denn got on board. "Thank you for coming, Denn. This is Veiere Arenais, my friend, advisor and bodyguard. We've been asked to deliver much needed food, water and medical aid. Their leader is a tyrant that keeps them all malnourished and destitute. They also have high security, so the goods will have to be smuggled in. I'll be trying to distract the tyrant with a diplomatic meeting to give you some cover."

She looked to Denn, wondering if he had any questions thus far.

As soon as Denn had gotten the transmission from The Fair Lady, he'd carefully initiated the docking rings, locking them in place and putting his ship in standby mod, the engines powering down and secondary systems engaging their power conservation modes. As he finished shutting down the last of the systems, he rose from the Captain's seat he picked up his hat from a small hook on the wall just inside the door before exiting the cockpit. Making his way quickly through the airlock he made his way through the familiar corridors of the ship, it wasn't too hard to understand the basic layout of most freighters, especially the YT series.

As Denn entered the room the two occupied he politely nodded towards the man seated there. He looked like a decent sort, he had to be if Miss Kay trusted him enough to be her bodyguard and adviser. He hoped her trust was well placed, the delicacy of smuggling things into places they aught not to be often carried a high penalty if you were caught. He removed his hat, a curt bow towards Lady Kay before he took a seat. Holding his hat in hand, he leaned forward and looked up at the two.

"Glad to be of some help in that area." He smiled. "And a pleasure meeting you Mr. Arenais. A friend of Lady Kay's is a friend of mine."

He inhaled deeply, biting the inside of his cheek for a moment before looking at Kay, then Veiere.

"I reckon I've got a few questions about how all this plays out. I've got the ability to transport the supplies, if we're talking condensed rations. Otherwise we're gonna need to find me a larger ship." He thought for a moment. "I suppose I'll also need to know the pick up and drop off location, and who's our contact once we make it to the surface?"

He had a lot of questions but he figured those would suffice for the time being. The less he knew, the more plausible deniability he had and the more likely it was he could talk his way out if things went bad. He eyed the two, wondering what considerations they had taken. He secretly wondered if they'd done much intelligence gathering, or if they'd planned on having him flying in blind.

One thing could be said about [member="Denn Ralto"] and that is that he was polite. That's a bit unusual for one with his occupation, but it certainly wasn't unwelcome. It was refreshing and made missions like these go a little easier.

His questions were what she expected. Kay grabbed her datapad and brought up one of her maps of Kerioth, the capital city. There was a warehouse district outside of it. She handed Denn the datapad. "Warehouse number Eight is where you'll be headed. There you'll find your contact by the name of Hobs. How he plans to bypass the security forces, I don't know. Some might pull off such a thing in the dead of night, while others prefer the busiest time of the day. I'll leave that up to you. As for your cargo, we have it here on The Free Lady. We'll help you bring it on board. Whatever you can fit would be great. The rest I can keep on board and say that they are for emergencies. Any other details we can hash out in a minute. I have to...set up a meeting.""

Kay glanced over to [member="Veiere Arenais"] before walking over to one of the consoles. With a few presses of some buttons, she began to record a message.

~Greetings Grand Moff Liarn. I am Madam President Kay of Commenor. As I am newly elected, I see that my predecessor had neglected reaching out to other worlds. That's bad business for an economy that deals heavily with trade. Might I request a meeting with you so that we could discuss a trade partnership between our worlds? It would do me a great honour to meet a man of your stature in person. I will await your answer.~

She ended the recording and then looked to the three of them. "Did I stroke his ego enough? Or should I of done more?"

Denn watched intently as she explained the location of the drop. A warehouse. Sounded easy enough, provided he could get his ship into the area without arousing too much suspicion. The only part that bothered him was the lack of knowledge on the security forces. He narrowed his eyes but otherwise remained silent. As far as the cargo was concerned, it made him feel better that the cargo was already aboard, and if he did some re-arranging he could likely fit a good portion of it on his ship. In addition to the internal storage, his ship held several exterior hidden cargo panels. As he started to visualize how this was all going to go down, [member="Lady Kay"] interrupted for a moment, indicating she had to take a moment.

While she recorded the message he played with several ideas in his mind, contemplating the method in which he wanted to carry out his objective. Getting the supplies from Point A to Point B wasn't going to be the hard part, it would be making sure he didn't get stopped by the security forces and identified as trying to smuggle in supplies. Under normal circumstances, most planets and their rulers would jump at the opportunity to have relief brought to their people... this seemed like another situation entirely. He nodded in silent agreement with himself. Yes... yes that would do. With a loose plan in place, he sat back in his seat, listening and waiting. Once everything had been loaded, he'd be able to set his plan in motion. Till then, he was content to wait and see how the other parts of this plan were supposed to pan out.
[member="Gray Raxis"] | [member="Veiere Arenais"]

Veiere would bow in return greeting to that of [member="Denn Ralto"] but would otherwise mostly remain silent while he listened, his gaze to the side, sparing a glance to the pilot Terrac before turning back as [member="Lady Kay"] sent word to the Grand Moff, announcing her desire to meet with him. He could feel her anxiety though she spoke well and true, befitting of her position over Commenor and as professional as always.

Truth be told there wasn't much in the way of anything he could do to further help the situation as it were, politics weren't his game of choice and the male on his left looked like the smuggler type. It was true that in ones goal to help those in need, you'd meet and require the help of all types of people though between the two of them, he imagined they stood on opposite sides of the fence as far as matters of legality stood. Still, this was an assumption and he knew he ought not to put too much stock behind such things. Veiere had seen much of late, been forced to re-evaluate his perspective over the life of a Jedi in this new galaxy of Chaos and disdain. So many of the Jedi were seeking to teach, to instruct and guide those not of the Jedi Order and while he had argued against it, he was the minority standing before the shadow of their history's collapse. The Jedi Code encouraged an open view, that not all things are as black and white as they seem, thus he didn't understand why he felt so conflicted lately. In comparison, befriending a smuggler was the least of his concerns.

"You did a fine job..." He spoke up in response to Kay's query, "I've little doubt that if anything, he will certainly be curious to meet you. All we need is an open door..." He offered a faint smile in encouragement before turning to glance to Denn Ralto, offering a nod in confidence of the mission set out before them and otherwise feeling eager to get things underway.

Objective: C

Gray was in his Mandalorian styled armor as he came climbing out of a tunnel exit in the basement of one of the abandoned houses on the side of the city not under siege by the rebel forces his clan was leading. He had his revolver strapped to his right hip and his bryar pistol to his left hip. His light saber Whisper's hilt hung next to his revolver, and on his back he had his shotgun. He was expecting close range combat and for the sake on not sticking out too much more, had left his sword back on his ship. What he needed for his current mission was stealth, and he would stick out less the way he was outfitted right now. Mandalorian styled armor might stick out in general outside of Mando space, but at least it would make some sense if he was assumed to be working for one of the crime groups. The sword would just get in the way since more Mandos did not use them.

Gray sneaked up to the window and looked out of it. He saw a patrol of droids hurry by on their way to the area under combat right now. He then went to the next window and looked out into the alley way. He heard before he saw a group of thugs moving quickly towards somewhere. As they passed by he heard a part of their conversation:

" Because dat's da orders. If ya want to argue wid da big boss, den do it yo self. I'd radder not die."

" I was just saying it makes no sense! Why do we need to stake out every warehouse in this part of the city?"

" Like I said. Its da big boss's orders. No need ta tink about it, just do it."

They then were too far past for Gray to hear the rest, but the bit he heard was alarming. They were staking out the warehouses? But why? What was going on at them? He wasn't sure but it worked in his favor. Meant he had less resistance when he got into their hideouts to eliminate their higher ups and liberate their supplies. He made sure the two had completely passed then slipped out of the basement into the alleyway. If he remembered right, there was a hideout roomed to be near the factory district. He was a bit of a distance from it, but it was the best lead he had right now.

Objective: A & B

Grand Moff Liarn was reviewing over the map of his city with several of his officers around it. Markers were set up representing his droid forces and then different ones representing the rebels. The rebels had ambushed two of his patrols and now had most of them pulled into an all out battle in a specific location. That was troubling, but mostly in an annoying way. They likely had some kind of "plan" in place to eliminate the forces out on the field currently, but they may have screwed up by providing him an opportunity. He turned to one of his officers and said, " Commander Urns, command our forces to pull back a short distance and set up a defensive perimeter. After that send an order to our ships. I want a single bomber and three fighters to head to the location of the battle. Have the fighters shoot up all enemy forces on the flanks and back line. Have the bomber level everything on the other side of our forces perimeter to the end of the city. We can rebuild the city, but they can not resurrect their flimsy troops. Pull more droids out of the barracks. Replace the lost patrols, reinforce our forces at the combat zone, and make sure our patrols that were halted during the attacks are set back up. I do not want the people thinking they have a chance to fight back. Now you are dismissed."

Grand Moff Liarn watched as his officers saluted him and went to carry out their orders. He would see these rebels utterly crushed as they deserved to be for opposing his rightful rule. He was about to leave the command room when his hooded ally entered. They seemed to float across the floor, as always, and said as they came close, " It would seem you have a visitor. Were you aware of this Liarn?"

" Grand Moff, and I am aware. A Lady Kay of Commenor is seeking to set up 'trade agreements'. She is connected to those backing the rebels no doubt. She was even trying to appeal to my ego. I imagine she is using this meeting as some kind of cover for some hidden operation. I do not know much about her, but that much is clear. I am thinking of inviting her in and using it to my advantage." Grand Moff Liarn said somewhat curtly to his hooded ally.

" Perceptive, and correct. I do have some additional information on her for you, Grand Moff Liarn. This Lady Kay is known for humanitarian aid and smuggling in supplies. She also seems to have gained a Jedi bodyguard recently. I have already ordered my agents to get their men on the possible smuggling via the only options available to them, the warehouses. I will handle that end so that you can focus on your rebels, but I will have to lead the jedi up to you. I hope this is helpful to you. The more I research our mutual enemy, the more interesting they become."

" It is helpful. I will leave the warehouses to your agents, and I can handle the Jedi. We will not allow these usurpers to trick the people into believing they can overthrow me. And when this rebellion is crushed, you will have your support in your grander plan." Grand Moff Liarn said to his hooded ally before they nodded and left the room. He waited a moment for them to leave then walked over to the table. He pressed the button on the com system and said over it, " Order the assassin droids with their electropikes to come to the palace and be ready for our guests. They are not to be seen or engage until I order them to. Also send a confirmation to this Lady Kay and invite her to the palace. Tell her to land in my personal dockyard, and then after she is headed to the palace take over her ship. Be courteous in the message, and do not give away a hint of our plans. If this order is not followed exactly I will oversee punishment for it myself. Understood? Good, now get moving."

Grand Moff Liarn ended the message and then waited for his servant to confirm. He began heading out of his command center and to his office. He had many orders in motion now and hopefully they would catch his enemies off guard. He was under no dellusion they were inept, but it was possible they were about him. His hooded ally might be too helpful to replace, but they were beginning to become too full of themselves. He would need to correct that soon, but it would need to wait until after he finished playing with these rebels. For now, he had a meeting to become ready for.

Kay smiled a little to [member="Veiere Arenais"] as he approved of her message. It wasn't that she really needed his approval, but it did boost her confidence a little. She then looked to [member="Denn Ralto"] and nodded to him. "Well, we might as well start loading up while we wait."

She led him down to the cargo hold. As they passed the living quarters, she knocked on the door and asked her three security officers to join them. The more hands loading, the quicker it could be done. Once at the cargo hold, Kay led them all inside. There were twenty crates inside, all of them filled with rations. "Here you are, Denn. My men here will help you unload. And in case you were wondering, I haven't forgotten about payment. How does 20,000 credits sound? Half up front and half when it's done?" Hopefully it was enough.

Just then, Terrac could be heard over the P.A. system. "Looks like you've got a date with a Grand Miff, doll. I just got the confirmation as well as co-ordinates. Looks like we're going to a private section of the Palace."

Kay chewed the inside of her cheek and then looked to Denn. "I'll leave you to it, then. Once you're finished and ready to go, we'll head down. Good luck, Denn. And thanks for your help." She bowed her head and walked back to the cockpit. A private section of the Palace? That could either be really good, or really bad. Of course she hoped for the former.

"Are you alright, sir?" asked one of the commandos moving to flank Ardgal.

The general nodded, "Yes, thank you, soldier. How are the rest of our units?"

"Unharmed, sir. Units one and two are here. Three and four are still waiting for further orders, like you ordered, sir. The Wardrobe is here, sir."

He smiled, "Good man."

"Sir, the enemy is reforming in a half circle around us," a second informed Ardgal.

He nodded, good. Just as he had planned. He moved to a massive durasteel case that had fallen from the drop ships with his soldiers. The soldiers around it opened it and began to dress their general in it. 'Begin planting the mine charges around our position. I want the P-6s around us in a thick anti-personnel and vehicle field." He looked at Strongbow with a nod, "My name is Ardgal, these are my soldiers. You saved my life and have my thanks. May I ask what you were doing here. And why you helped us?"

"It is an honor to meet you, sir," said the warrior. "I am part of a small, elite fighting force who calls themselves the Paladins. We fight for the people, traversing the galaxy looking for worthy causes. We've been watching your family and your work on this planet. Your work here is top notch and what you seem to know what your doing to defend the weak and helpless."

"Sir, we have incoming fighters," Ardgal heard from his ear-comm. "Three TIES and a bomber. Arrival time, one minute, followed by ninety seconds."

The backplate on his armor clicked into place, its needles pressed into his spinal implant, a fierce shot of pain tore through his body for a moment, he shook it off, "Good. Very good. Are the mortars in place?"

"Thirty seconds, sir."

He smiled, "They have the green light to begin leveling off the enemy, focus all fire on the center. Alpha Company, I want the Quad Ceps to prepare to rain fire on the incoming." he clicked over frequencies to the dug in Militia, "Begin sniping out the enemy, keep them back, and hold them down."

He pulled Strongbow's rocket launcher from the ground, 'May I?" The man nodded, Ardgal picked if off the ground and loaded a round into the weapon. He scaled one of the rubble buildings. The sound of mortar fire filled the air. He could envision the droids getting shelled out by the liberal rockets. The sound of blasters and rifles peppered with it as the militia joined in. When the TIE fighters came into view, their delicate frames were barraged on three sides from the waiting 25 Alpha Company commandos with Reciprocating Quad lasers. The fireball that filled the air as their underbelly fuel tanks caught flame was a glorious destruction. Ardgal looked down through the rocket launcher, tense and waiting. His helmet's HUD calculated the drop, air pressure, and displayed the needed angle to make the shot. He lined it up and waited unto the bomber's sound could be hear. As it grew louder and louder still, his finger tapped off the safety, eyes glued to the RADAR on his HUD. The distance between them closed rapidly.

Suddenly, he fired, the crimson trail of the rocket's smoke soared for the horizon. Its sweet scream went wild through the air and met the bomber the moment it crested the buildings. The tip of the rocket tore through the bomber a fraction of a second later it erupted in the middle of the fuselage. The fire ball enveloped the bomber's payload, setting them off from the 7,000 degree temperatures. The bomber evaporated in mid air, what little was left, rained down in an ashen snow.

All there was to do now was wait for the enemy to either retreat, be destroyed by the mortar fire, or advance into the dense minefield waiting for them.

Denn rose from where he was seated, gently returning his hat atop he head and tucking the brim down slightly. As they passed through the ship, he continued keeping track of the layout. Upon reaching the cargo hold he looked in and breathed a quiet sigh of relief. From what he could tell, they'd be able to load up most of the supplies if not all. He had the entire second cabin aboard the Genesis he could store supplies. It wouldn't stand up to a search, but he didn't want to think about that now. He'd worry about it if it got that far. For now he was content to organize the few crew Lady Kay had assigned to help him. They made short work of it, and after they'd finished Denn had thanked each crew member for their help and sent them on their way. He asked one if he could tell Kay that he was going to get a move on.

He'd traveled back through the airlock and into the cockpit of his own ship, slouching slightly in his seat. Looking to the controls, he slowly began the process of disengaging the docking ports connecting him to The Free Lady. As the process came to an end he activated the lateral thrusters for a millisecond, causing the Genesis to drift away slightly. As it did, he activated his scanners, inputting the warehouse coordinates into the computer. Bringing up the display he saw it was in the heart of the warehouse district. Biting the inside of his cheek he reached up and stroked his beard. This was quite the conundrum. He couldn't likely fly right in, but even if he was able to find a place to land near the outskirts of the warehouse district, he'd still have to transport the supplies via vehicle to the warehouse, and that involved acquiring a vehicle in the first place. That being said, he was having a hard time finding a good way to get his ship in that close to the warehouse. There wasn't a way around it. He'd have to land and figure it out from there. Quickly he brought up his database, punching in a few commands as his eyes scanned the holoviewer.

"Too big... no... Not the right dates... That wouldn't do... " he muttered under his breath. He kept paging through entries appearing to be ship names and manifests. He continued this for five minutes, pausing longer on one of the entries.

"Eureka!" he shouted.

He'd found it, an entry he liked. Punching in a few commands on a small black box mounted on his control panel, he adjusted a few systems and then grinned. Now he'd be set. Part one of his plan was in place, now he just hope the rest fell into place. Taking a moment to breathe, he reached forward and sent his engines roaring to life, propelling the ship forwards. Both hands now on the controls, he tilted the nose downward towards the planet surface. He was headed towards the outskirts of the warehouse district. He'd need to do some legwork before delivering the goods. Denn gripped the controls firmly, gently adjusting his angle of descent and travel as he swung around in a wide arc towards the surface. He wanted to remain undetected as long as possible and so he planned accordingly. The primitive IFF system would have identified him as a small barge, transporting industrial parts towards the surface if the ground forces picked up his signal at all.

Taking a deep breath, Denn pushed the controls forward, the nose now dipping even further, his angle of descent almost perpendicular to the planet's surface. He let out a long whoop as the drop made his stomach jump. He rapidly descended, hopefully faster than the scanners on the planet could detect him, his hull heating up quickly. Several alarms began to chime as various sections of the exterior plating began to reach critical temperatures. Now gritting his teeth, Denn yanked hard back on the controls, a small wave of panic passing over him as the ship failed to respond... at first. It was then the nose wobbled slightly and then began to inch up, the terrain which had once been indistinguishable now was clear through the cockpit. As the ship began to level out the entire hull vibrated with the strain. Denn, while a good pilot was known to be somewhat reckless when it came to aerial maneuvers.

The Genesis arced low... very low. The ship finally leveled out a mere twenty feet above the ground, streaking across the earth and shaking loose dust from the planet's surface. He'd intended to stay low, beneath scanner range, but not this low. Carefully he brought his ship up off the ground slightly but still attempted to stay below scanner range. He'd continue on his course until he reached about 5 km outside of the industrial district, he was hoping he could find a depression to hide his ship in while he made his way on the ground to do some reconnoitering.

Frak the droids were not happy at her really not happy I mean who sends commando droids to a single freaking person....then again she had single handingly destroyed a entire patrol....maybe she should've stuck to just shoot n scoot.....to late now

In any case she was running dodging away from at least five commando droids....shields had already been compromised and she has taken a few blaster bolts to the armor thankfully this armor was meant for the heat of the war zone....didn't help that they were still on her and annoying as hell

Ardgal I'm having some troubles coming to you bringing some bug hear on me I've got 5+ commando droids on my tail pretty sure I also saw some heavy gear heading towards you couldn't get a look as hey Feth off!" She said interrupted and a few shots could be heard along with the extremely close sound of a blaster bolts hitting her armor" agh give me five more I should be there out" she said to [member="Ardgal Raxis"]

She had to keep moving she was running low on energy and these damn things seemed to just keep coming " come on star let's go" she said and drew her sith blade as she started running forward seeing the camp just close by as she jumped out of the line of fire and right into a droid she stabbed into and then moved around about to jump into the safe zone when she noticed a trap they had set up just for her....thermal dets....poodoo...

A loud boom would be heard as started was thrown forward a bit rough landing hard and rolling before hitting a wall enough to Crack it as she gasped losing air from it" aghhhhh

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Objective: D

Kay got the signal. It was time to head down. Terrac guided The Free Lady into the atmosphere, weapons offline and shields up just enough to show that they had trust that there were no hostile intentions.

Once The Free Lady was docked, Kay gathered her satchel. Inside she had her usual, change of clothes, tea supplies, commlink, datapad and her small blaster. She looked to [member="Veiere Arenais"] and took in a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Showtime..."

She exited her ship, gripping the strap of her satchel as it hung over her shoulder. They were greeted by a short, but thin man. "This way, Madam President."

Kay glanced over to her bodyguards. Two came with her, besides Veiere, while the third remained on board with Terrac. They followed the little man into the Palace. It was grand in scale, yet cold and menace looking. No doubt that would be how Grand Moff Liarn would seem as well.

While the four of them were led inside, assassin droids quickly descended onto the Free Lady and boarded. The lone bodyguard attacked, firing his blaster, but the bolts deflected off of their shields. Hearing the commotion, Terrac punched one of the buttons, closing the door and sealing the cockpit with himself safely inside. Already he could see the ship surrounded and being locked down. Guess it was too late for Terrac to say that he had a bad feeling about this. He grabbed his commlink and sent out four short beeps, followed by a short pause and three more beeps.

Kay heard the beeps within her satchel, muffled as it was. She knew what it meant. The Free Lady was compromised. She frowned slightly as she looked over to Veiere and whispered. "We may end up having a longer stay than intended..."

'Showtime...'

Showtime, indeed. Veiere moved alongside Kay Larr, the other two behind them and armed with blaster pistols still holstered at their sides. By now they'd been to far from hearing distance of the Free Lady yet never the less, Veiere suddenly slowed in his approach and forced one of the security personnel to walk right into the back of him whilst the [member="Lady Kay"] was listening to her com-link and the warning signal Terrac had sent through. The Jedi however had a warning signal of his own, the force around him seemed to frenzy, no longer flowing in it's fluent presence, it became distorted and warped as it so often did when there was violence or an imminent threat in the nearby area.

Nodding to Kay, Veiere moved to catch up to their short, thin little guide in which he again reached out to the force though this time calling to it in order to inspire his words and probe the others mind for any hint of ill intent, "The good lady was adamant about maintaining good trade but I have to admit, I initially advised against it, I was not sure whether your security would be capable enough...", to which the small man turned and looked to the Jedi Knight, offering something of an irritated expression at the assumption that they were ill-equipped. "I assure you Master Jedi, you will have no doubts after your visit today. We pride ourselves here on the security of this system and have gone above and beyond with the latest technology in our security droids". Veiere nodded as if in resignation and waited for the little man to turn to focus on their walk before turning to look back over his shoulder towards Kay, giving a simple shake of his head.

Reaching out to touch the back of their guides head, the man faltered in his step, Veiere's eyes briefly closing before their guide lost his standing entirely and Veiere had pulled his consciousness away from the world around them. He dropped like a sack of permacrete bricks; to which the Jedi soon turned and spoke first to the two security officers in Kay's service, "Give the Lady a weapon and then scout ahead, do not raise suspicions needlessly". Looking to Kay, he took a slow breath before offering something of a sideways nod, "Sorry but there was no guarantee he wasn't leading us straight into an ambush...-We have little choice now but to continue on, meet this Moff and force his hand. The attempted assassination of a President of a fellow system justifies an arrest...-Unfortunately, I can't say that it'd be any safer for you to return to the ship, so...-I guess you're going to get to see some action afterall".

Gray kept low and moved through the alleyways towards the factory district. His biggest problem was avoiding the ever increasing patrols. No patrols wasn't exactly right. These were reinforcements heading towards the combat zone. They were moving mostly in transports and seemed to be upping their forces. Gray stopped in a hidden spot and said over his com system, " Come in [member="Ardgal Raxis"] and [member="Stardust Raxis"] . There is several transports filled full of troops heading your way. I couldn't see what was in most of them, but a few had some heavy artillery, very heavy artillery. Be prepared for that or retreat. We aren't looking to push the Grand Moff into carpet bombing the capital into oblivion too." He ended his message then went forward again. The alleyways were strangely quiet and empty. The criminals seemed to be up to something and it was related to those warehouses. What was going on exactly at them?

Objective: B & D

Grand Moff Liarn watched the video from his hidden security cameras of his man being knocked out. The woman must be [member="Lady Kay"] and the other was clearly the jedi ( [member="Veiere Arenais"] ). They thought they were being lead into a trap, which was true but they had no idea how true that was. There seemed to be two guards escorting her as well. They felt they had an advantage, but they were fooling themselves. The only advantage they had was more people......but that wouldn't help them any.

Grand Moff Liarn got on his communication system and said, " Report on the condition of the ship." He sat and listened as they reported that the pilot had sealed the cockpit but the ship was otherwise under their control. It had also been grounded via magnetic locks ensuring it could not take off without destroying itself. He said after the report, " Slice into the systems and take a plasma torch to that door. Station regular battle droids to take and send the assassin droids back into the palace." He got a confirmation and sat back. It was now time to wait for his "guests" to arrive after they had so rudely assaulted one of his servants.
