Alexandra continued through the hall, almost stopped by a man only to have him walk and talk to someone else.
That was fine though, her eyes and mind were focused on someone else and she quickly seized another drink as she downed it, trying to loosen her up. She was nervous, to put it simply, her breath quick and her eyes shutting from time to time to calm her stomach and relax her chest. She felt like the earth rested on it and she couldn't help but falter in her steps now and then because of the distractions in her body. She didn't know what she should say to Vulpesen, how to approach him, how to try and start repairing things like had been suggested to her.
This was her first good chance at starting those repairs, and she was acting like she had never known how to act at something like this or how to act in this situation. She wanted to kick herself in the rear end for feeling like this but there was little she could do. And as she thought on that, her mind wandered to other things, specifically how her hair was and her choice of dress.
It made her want to tear her hair out being like this, her hands closed as they rested behind her now while she walked. She squeezed hard on the open air, almost as if trying to choke something considering how white her knuckles were getting. She cursed herself for being like this again over him, but at the same time smiled a stupid smile, one that was without care or worry, one that sat there on her face and did not vanish.
She breathed in one last time, trying to slow her heartrate as she came up behind [member="Vulpesen"]'s right side, reaching out to tap him on the shoulder quick and careful not to step too close. She would wait for him to turn and see her before she started talking, her voice uneven as she tried to put some power behind it, only to falter here and there from that nervous tension in her gut.
"Hey Fox Face. Would you mind giving me a dance, for old times sakes?" She looked at him, smiling that dumb smile still as she waited for his answer.
