The air was electric with the sounds of laughter, shouts, and balls ricocheting off boundry force fields. Azurine crouched low, her amber eyes locked on the training grounds—a chaotic court of colored lines and frantic movement. The opposing team was relentless, but she was in her element, weaving through the storm of flying spheres with the grace of a dancer and the precision of a predator. Her eyes glinted under the harsh gym lights as her Force-enhanced reflexes kicked in, guiding her every motion.
Her strike against
Aadihr Lidos
had missed, woefully. Though she was surprised, it made a smile cross her face. He seemed caught up in the thrill of competition. There was bittersweet happiness to it. Whatever had passed between them, whatever mistakes she'd made, seeing him like this, even if only for a moment, was worth it. She wouldn't allow herself to linger on that too long.
Everything around her moved in a blur, faster than most could process, but to her, it was as if time had fragmented. Balls sailed through the air in arcs of vivid clarity, their paths etched out by her precognition. Opponents darted across the court, their intentions flickering in her mind like faint sparks of light. It was hard to keep up.
Caelan Valoren
quickly tossed her a ball.
"Nice one, Lion Cub!"
What she hadn't expected was the ball that had come for Caelen from
Connel Vanagor
to come around from behind. At least not until it was too late. She had sidestepped, flinging the ball in her hands towards
Kuhbee
as she didn't want him to feel like he wasn't part of the main event action, right into the line of fire.
Her eyes flashed with the visions and she leapt, her body twisting mid-air. For a moment, she thought she had dodged it. Unfortunately for her, those visions had come a split second too late. The ball clipped her ankle mid-spin—turning black in the process—and she landed awkwardly, skidding to the edge of the boundries. Two birds with one stone.... no, ball? Either way, it was one hell of a move.
Azzie laughed, pushing herself up with a sheepish grin.
"Guess I had that coming," she muttered, rubbing her ankle as she walked to the sidelines. Her fiery spirit simmered down as she sat on the bench, shaking her head in amusement.
She was about to lose herself in thought when her gaze caught someone sitting a few feet away on the Silver teams side. Aadihr. He had been taken out right after her threw at him. Rather than acknowledge it, she poured her attention into her hyping up of her remaining teammates.
"Come on Gold, kick their butts!"
