Hoth-er Than the Gates of Hell (Rima)

Rima stopped the minute she saw the torch. She was a ways away from Celty and Iren, but she was still able to pull out Moon and shoot the cigar right out of Iren's fingers.
"Yeah. The weather's karking fantastic...."
She growled at him.

Iren didn't even flinch. The return shot wasn't aimed at Rima, however, but at Celty. It grazed his face, along his blind side, cutting open the skin about half a centimeter deep. His hand went up to the now-bleeding cut, and his glare became even more pronounced. The contractor looked at the redhead and clicked his tongue.
"You can't keep control of your partner, huh? Bad habit for a kid like you, letting her make your enemies."
He tossed a datapad in Rima's direction, and then walked off into the snow. The engine of a large airspeeder was audible as he left. Celty stared at Rima a little miserably.
"Well, at least he only shot me on my blind side, I guess. He might've shot you, instead."

Rima was now furious. She was ready to go back out into that storm just to shoot Iren's buttcheeks before he left, but she managed to control herself enough not to. She walked over to Celty, moving his hand so she could examine the wound. She then pulled out some Bacta spray and applied it.
"Karking nerf-herder. Just wait till I get my hands on him. I'll ring his neck so hard his head'll roll off..."
She muttered angrily. One way or another, Iren was a dead man in her book.

Celty waited until Rima put the bacta on his face, and then pulled her into a loose hug.
"It's okay, Filly. Somebody'll get him sometime. Let's just try to have some fun, huh?"
He looked her in the face and smiled gently as he led her back to the bike.

Rima sighed as Celty hugged her.
"It's hard to have fun when there's a very serious risk of hypothermia."
As they walked back to the bike, she looked down at the datapad Iren had left them. Hmmm... So there was an underground city on this ice ball? That was kind of cool. She still hated the planet, though.

Celty grinned at Rima as he hopped back onto the bike.
"Hypothermia is a little less likely in those caves, I think. They'd be far warmer than the surface."
He'd only managed to take a quick look at the datapad for the coordinates to the caverns, but he could remember them clearly enough to punch them into the display on the bike's windshield. The display showed the general direction they needed to go in, and he happily revved the engine again.
"'Course, we might have to share the tent if we end up sleeping in it."

"I'd have to be seriously tired before I could tune out your snoring..."
Rima replied. She was a bit happier that they finally had a decisive and interesting location to go to. Also, she was secretly relieved that they didn't have to be around the emergency torch anymore.

"Oh, my snoring might be the least of your noisy problems..."
Celty pulled the bike down into a trench, silently praying that nothing with a lot of teeth came after them. The cave seemed to be directly ahead, and he could see it. More than big enough to let the bike pass through... Into a long metal tunnel, ending in a slightly sinister-looking gate? He pointed at it.
"Well, we are going through that."
[member="Rima Filenko"]

Wait, what? Surely Celty wasn't insane enough to actually think he could drive through that gate. Rima eyed the back of his head warily, as if waiting for him to indicate that he was in fact going to do it.
"Don't even think about it...."

Celty rolled his eyes as hard as he could. Was Rima implying that he'd try to joust the gate, or something? Pshaw. Did sound cool, though. Instead, he simply activated his hammer and began smashing at the gate. After about half a minute, the whole thing just collapsed in on itself.
"I couldn't hear you over the sound of how I just smashed through a huge, ominous-looking, metal gate."
He sat back on the bike, grinning at Rima as they continued forward... And Celty had to dodge around a frost-covered building.
"What the f- Oh, that's awesome!"

"Right, you and your mad ham- FETH!!!"
Rima just about fell off the bike. If she hadn't fastened her arms tightly around Celty's waist at the last minute, she'd be a nice blotch of color on the building they'd just dodged.
"AWESOME??!! LEFT LEFT LEFT!!!!"
She screamed as they came up on more buildings.

Celty would've grinned like a maniac at Rima if he'd had the opportunity to turn around and look at her. As it was, he went looking for a way out of this mess of buildings. And there it was! A ramp! He rode the bike straight up the curve and felt himself grab Rima's hand to make sure she stayed on as they went flying up to the top of a rather large building, or rather what looked like a tier of them.
"Wow, that worked!"
Celty was so busy with the adrenaline rush that it didn't occur to him to let go of Rima's hand.

Rima had to sit there for a few minutes. Her entire body was incredibly tense, her eyes wide open with shock, fear, and anger. Then, she reached up with her other hand and cuffed Celty hard in the side of the head.
"You FETHING MORON!!! What the KARK was that??!! This isn't a swoop track!! You can't just go around doing shista like THAT!!!"

Celty shook his head from Rima's hit. She was strong, dammit. He was getting angry, but he didn't let go of the hand he was holding, not really conscious of it.
"Well, what was your idea, Filly? Run into a frakking wall of ice? Would that have been better?"
His face was a little bit closer to hers than it usually got when they were fighting. He didn't really notice.
[member="Rima Filenko"]

Rima wrenched her hand out of his, getting of the bike so she could come around to face him.
"You didn't even think when you sped in here! You NEVER think about ANYTHING you do!! You always just jump right in, not even considering the consequences!!!!"

Celty glared at Rima, his face turning about as red as it possibly could.
"Yeah, well, I always get us out of trouble, too, don't I? You just don't notice or give a damn. Ever. At all."
He sat down on the ground and did his best to look away from her.
[member="Rima Filenko"]

"Oh yes. My hero! Because I can't do ANYTHING without you barging in and swinging your hammer at crap! You get us into more binds than you get us out of!!! You're impulsive, cocky, and just a straight-up nerf herder!!!!"
Rima yelled down at Celty. She didn't really know why she was this angry. It must have been a mixture of being tired, being cold, being frustrated at Iren, and then the whole near-death ride into the city. It was all coming out at this moment, and she couldn't stop it even if she wanted to.

"Yeah? Well, I got shot in the face today for no other reason than your itchy trigger finger! I'm so sorry that the majority of my fighting with you revolves around: 'Oh, hey, let me not let my best friend get hit while she's trying to shoot at people.' And I'm such an nerf herder for getting your back when you need the help? Leave me alone."
Celty leaned his head against his knees and felt himself tearing up. Why'd Rima have to take this whole thing out on him? Wasn't it enough that they were both here, freezing? And wasn't the fact that they were still alive proof enough that his faith in his own skill was justified?
[member="Rima Filenko"]

"Fine. You know what? I will leave you alone!"
Rima turned around and walked to the edge of the building. She started climbing down what appeared to be some sort of fire escape, landing on her feet. She started walking very fast, not caring where she was going. All she could think about was how Celty was a horrible person, and how she was a horrible person for thinking he was a horrible person. She needed to shoot something. She needed to hit something. She needed to do something!

"Great. Bye-"
Celty's eyes widened in horror as he heard a loud growling noise. A large furred creature the size of the building was walking past his face. A... what were they called? Womps? Wamps? Wampas! Cute name for something not cute at all. The redhead looked around to find Rima, but he couldn't see her. Hopefully, she could hear him. He cupped his hands around his mouth.
"Filly, there's some frakking huge furry creature here!"
