Hoth-er Than the Gates of Hell (Rima)

Wait... Was Celty giving her a compliment just now? Like, an actual genuine compliment?! Rima was slightly dumbfounded by this. She blushed a little bit (WHY NOW??!!) and played with the fur on her sleeve.
"Really? Um, thanks..."
A few minutes later, they boarded the transport. Rima found them a seat near the cargo bay where the bike was being kept.

Celty smiled again as they sat down on the ship. He'd seen Rima blush a little bit when he complimented her. Her confusion was really obvious, and the redhead enjoyed it. He always felt like she didn't like him for some reason, but he'd done almost nothing but try to impress her when they were little.
"We should probably sleep a bit on the way. I can poke you if anything weird happens."

"How do I know you won't just poke me to be annoying?"
Rima said. She couldn't stifle the yawn that came after her comment, however. She was still pretty sleepy, despite the coffee and the shower. She crossed her arms and looked straight ahead of her. It was pretty clear that her eyes were getting heavy.

"What, you think I didn't suggest that just so you would let me sleep? Poking you isn't conducive to sleeping."
Celty laughed tiredly and leaned his head and hands on his hammer. That could be comfortable enough to fall asleep. He gave Rima a sidelong glance and smirked at her a bit jokingly.
"You gonna use me as a pillow again, or is the chair softer than my ribs?"
[member="Rima Filenko"]

Rima gave Celty a soft glare.
"The only reason you were a pillow last time was because the alternative was a rock. I think I'll be fine."
She shifted in her chair until she had her back to him, and leaned her head against the wall. It wasn't the comfiest of positions, mind you. But Rima had slept with worse.

Celty rolled his eyes at the fairly obvious effort Rima was taking not to fall asleep on him. It was kind of funny, but also a little bit cute, in a way. He reached one of his hands out to ruffle her hair again, and then smiled as he started to fall asleep.
"Sleep tight, Filly."
He closed his eyes and fell asleep, most likely snoring.

*Eight hours later*
Rima woke up when she fell on her face into the metal floor.
"Oooow..."
She groaned, rubbing her head as she pulled herself to her feet. She walked over to Celty and flicked him twice. Once on the nose, and once on the forehead.
"Get up, Hammerhead. I said get up...."

"I told you I would've been a better pillow."
Celty grumbled as Rima flicked his face a couple of times, reaching out and grabbing at the air until he felt her shoulder. His eyes opened and he smirked a little bit teasingly.
"What're you, afraid to get my bike without me?"
[member="Rima Filenko"]

"Yes, that's exactly why I woke you up. Because your bike, scares me."
Rima said sarcastically, smirking back. She grabbed his wrist and forcibly pulled him from his seat.
"I think we've landed, or at least we're close to landing. Hope this job's worth the frostbite."

Celty rolled his eyes as Rima pulled him up, and he barely noticed when his hand slipped into hers and he started walking towards his bike, dragging her with him.
"No, it's absolutely not worth it. I'm just completely screwed if I don't take this."
He swung up onto the bike, letting go of Rima's hand, and revved the engine.
"Stay as close to the front of the bike as you can, Filly. Engine will keep us warm."
[member="Rima Filenko"]

Rima allowed herself to be dragged, even though it was by her hand. She put on her earmuffs and pulled up her hood, getting onto the bike behind Celty.
"If I get any closer, we'll look like one person instead of two."
She said, practically flattening herself against him.

Celty shrugged as he revved the bike and they started off into the snow. His scarf was covering his whole face except for his eyes, and he didn't particularly mind the cold. It was better than feeling like he was burning.
"Well, one big guy would be warmer than the two of us right now. Fat to burn and whatever. Ain't much of that between the two of us."
He was pretty thoroughly aware of how close Rima was pressed up against him. It wasn't the worst feeling, he thought.

Rima had to squint if she wanted to look ahead as the bike raced through the frigid winds. She hardly heard a word Celty said, as her earmuffs and the wind made everything extremely muffled.
"PLEASE TELL ME IT ISN'T THAT FAR FROM HERE!"
She yelled to him. Damn, it was cold!

Celty looked over his shoulder at Rima, blinking at her as his eyes teared up from the cold.
"I DON'T KNOW. I'M JUST LOOKING FOR A WEATHER BEACON."
He looked back forward, pointing at a small point of light ahead of them.
"That!"
[member="Rima Filenko"]

The weather beacon was unfortunately not the last one. There was a whole line of them that they had to follow through the storm.
"IF WE EVER RUN INTO THE GUY WHO TOLD US TO COME, I'M GONNA SHOOT HIS BALLS OFF!!!"

"YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE BEHIND ME, THEN."
Celty already wanted to smash Gavos' brains out with his hammer. This, right here, was not endearing him to the guy, either. The line of beacons just kept going and going. Before long, they became a blur... and... there! They ended! He pulled away from the beacons, and towards the cave that was fairly visible, even through the snow.
[member="Rima Filenko"]

Finally, they stopped. Rima hopped off the bike, rubbing her doubly-covered hands together and squinting into the cave. It looked liek it went back a ways, but it was a bit too dark to really tell. She then turned her attention to the end of her back braid. What the?? The end of it was frozen! And the bottom of her half-skirt was to! This planet.... Rima officially decided that she hated it.

Celty grimaced as he pulled his hammer off the bike and got down. He looked at Rima, and decided not to comment on the fact that her skirt and ponytail were frozen solid. Besides, he was way too angry at somebody else to even turn his snark on her. The red-headed swoop jockey angrily trudged into the cave, more than ready to smash anything in his way.

"What are we looking for here? I'm not freezing my ass off for a false alarm, Cyclops."
Rima snapped, crossing her arms more for warmth than actual irritation. She didn't mean to direct her frustration at him. She just couldn't help it. the sound of her boots practically stomping through the snow echoed off the cave walls as she started walking deeper inside.

Celty gave Rima a bit of a pained look.
"Filly, if he's not here, I'll let you stick me in a snow drift. But right now, I need to find Iren, kick his ass, and get to exploring some nicer, warmer, caves."
He walked deeper into the cave, and glared daggers when Iren Gavos' condescending grin came into the light. The man was leaning on a rather large emergency torch, and using it to light his cigar.
"Oh, hey, Celty... And you did bring the girl, after all. Wonderful. Somebody to keep you from shooting yourself in the foot like you always do. Wonderful weather, ain't it?"
