No flashy lightsabers or battle of Force. It stands out as it was so mundane.
Perhaps you're answering your own question. Perhaps it was fate. Maybe it was Seris's blaster, and only Seris's blaster, that finds Akala in every iteration of reality, every alternate universe.
Perhaps it was the will of the Force, who was obviously so valiently fighting against such a dominating presence such as Akala, who exerted such control and influence over it that she removed its powers and influence entirely in the Galaxy.
My theory, if I'm allowed to have one, is that she was invincible and perceivably so to the point that many were trying to either coerce her from her chosen path or join her in her efforts. Many others were fighting the obstacles she set before them, or fighting each other. Only the Force was really fighting against her, bringing about the spirits of many denizens in the Netherworld to visibly struggle against her, represented by the dead Jedi Master Teferi Efreet's presence near the end of the thread.
In conclusion, my theory is that while these juggernauts and flashy lightsabers were about, Seris knew the odds were stacked so high against him... but took the shot regardless. He didn't cower, he didn't run, he didn't choose the easy path and try to join Akala. There's power in that.
Because sometimes in life, you just gotta take the shot.
