I Need A Sophos Update (Coryth) [past rp]

Kick your tail, huh? Needless to say Siobhan's mind immediately dropped into the gutter. Hopefully Coryth's empathy would not pick up too much and scar the girl for life!

"But you're so cute when you yell at me," Siobhan could not resist snarking. The redhead was probably one of the very few people with the guts to shout at her. "The Eldorai are extremely proud, but willing to learn new things even if they have trouble admitting it. So just be your usual self and they'll be good pupils. Besides, you're a rehead, they're very rare among the elves so you'll automatically be a novelty!"

She gave Coryth a smile. Not a disarming one because you cannot disarm a redhead. "It's great to have you with us again, Cory. We can have a contract and stuff drawn up for you."

"That we shall, dear."
There was something on Tegaea's mind, and it came out very awkwardly.
"I don't mean to offend, but I'm not sure whether you want to take money directly from us or if you'd just like to have expenses covered. Other Jedi...you know...." She trailed off.
"Anyway, let us know."

Some Jedi, especially the more traditional ones, didn't accept conventional payment, but preferred it to be put towards charities or other uses.

Coryth blushed at Siobhan's lusty emotions bleeding over into her mind, quick to lay a hand on her own cheek to try and hide some of the pink hue. Though, truly it did her little good. "Well I guess I'll take cute over you throwing me through a wall for it. I've heard few others survive them yelling at you." Still teasing!

Then the conversation grew a bit more serious and Coryth paused, the smile fading a bit as her eyes dropped to the table. It wasn't the first time she'd had a paycheck. It took her a long, long while to get used to the idea of one in Omega. Now there was a choice.

As she thought about it, the matter was simple really, "While I don't need much, the reality is I do have bills to pay, myself to feed, and so on, since I'm not exactly funded by the Order anymore." She gave a bit of a shrug. Her boat needed upkeep that much was sure, and who knew what her apartment here would be like. Plus she still did have the cabin in Lake Country on Naboo that required a caretaker since she seldom visited it these days. "I'm not really like other Jedi as I've come to know all too well in recent years. Truly though, given the funds directly would be fine. I'm okay with a paycheck, really." It sounded more like she was trying to convince herself more than anything. It was still an odd subject for her.

Most other people who dared to yell at Siobhan were not as pretty as Coryth! Unfortunately it seemed the little redhead would not be spared various lusty thoughts bleeding over into her mind.

Anyway, now they came to be a more serious topic. For her part Siobhan had never understood traditionalist Jedi reluctance to accept payment, but then she had been a very bad Jedi who joined the Pyre to get away from an Order that disapproved of her drinking, fighting and womanising. Living a life as a member of a non-religious order monks, who despite their vows of poverty had a very big Temple and apparently always had a starfighter handy when they wanted to fly somewhere, just had not been a calling.

"Ok. Great. Then you'll get a regular paycheque. Welcome to the team, Cory," Siobhan said warmly.

"And soon you'll have a Jester too...and they need feeding too!" Tegaea said, nodding. Jesters tended to consume anything if given the chance. Extra locks and latches were recommended to prevent the larder turning into a nest!

Tegaea extended a hand. "Welcome aboard, Coryth!"
