Are you ok with character death?

So in some circles the joke has been "which of Ordo's characters is gonna die this time?" Well that got me thinking and I want to hear what others think about character death. I have seen some uber meta godmodding on occasion to save a character and even in a few cases a prized NPC and I'm curious.

Well, it is difficult. I allow people to kill my characters, but not just freely. It's when I think the death would be awesome (I don't want people to be randomly killed in a private thread or something) and I really want to see my characters die. Or when my character has existed for too long. Jedi and Sith and other have to die some time, too. Especially in the warring galaxy.

But no, I don't want to just kill my characters whenever it happens.

I'm weird. I have end goals for all of my characters. Once I hit that end goal, I'm okay with it. In between, I'm really not, but if you have me dead to rights then there's little I can do about it lol

I'm pretty much okay with any character with more than a 100 posts dying as long as they get a good death scene. The story aspect of it is generally what decides it. But if the character can't survive without godmodding...
They gonna die.

I love writing a beautiful death scene, especially in an epic battle. Doesn't have to be against a nemesis either.

I agree with Popo in the terms of goals and aspirations for a character, unfortunately Aaralyn hasn't had the chance to meet those and not sure if she will ever - so might be endgame for her.

This is probably my only character I have I don't want dying. Alask probably wouldn't be easily killed but anything is possible.

As you see, I'm okay with it as long as it makes sense. I won't allow it if its over a grudge you have on me.

I haven't yet had the stones to actually kill off one of my characters in a permanent way. I did just write Invicta's death, though, because it just made sense, and I'm going to think long and hard about what differences there will be to her when Kaine succeeds in bringing her back in a new body. Will include a bit of a redo of the bio and likely the images as well. Won't just be waking up and picking up like nothing fething happened.

I will let my characters die as long as the fight is written fairly. I do have a projected story ending for some of my characters, but if I'm going to enter public threads, then I will have to accept their fate if they are killed in good sportsmanship.
