He smiled. "Well."

Kurt and Kaile had their assignment. Three weeks looking at worlds in the core. They were supposed to get deep space scans and see if they could find any new trade routes through to Coruscant. The task would be excruciatingly boring, but the schedule for it was all set, and that meant Kurt knew exactly when he would have time off.

"Three weeks." He told her. "I'll have a week off."

A little longer actually. The survey corps was actually pretty great. Plus with the Alliance maybe going to war soon...thing might change even more. Kurt didn't really know, but he hoped that things at least stayed relatively peaceful. He didn't need Kaile running off to go play hero while she was pregnant, nor did he need Jamie going to do the same after he'd only just got her back. "We can go to Tatooine."

Kurt suggested.

Jamie paused, setting down the utensil atop the plate with a small clink. The girl raised her napkin and dabbed her lips before setting it back down in her lap.

"I would like that."

The question was whether or not she would be able to go.

"Though I am scheduled for travel to Mustafar in the near future. There is an expedition of the planet and I opted to join a while back. An exact date isn't set."

That might complicate things slightly, at least until she knew for sure when she was to leave. In the mean time she would need to see to the half dozen or so items on her agenda that were pressing the immediate future. There was still the issue of the one remaining terrorist, Suravi, to round up somewhere in the galaxy. That was still high on the priority list, and even though leads came and went, they often ran cold shortly after the pin dropped.

For a second Kurt just frowned.

"Mustafar?" Who the hell wanted to go to Mustafar? "Why would you want to go there?"

He asked her. He knew that she liked going places that she had never been, but if she thought Tatooine was hot, then she'd get all sorts of news when she went to Mustafar. Kurt had been there once before, delivering a package to a Vanir Technologies Mining facility. The Security Trooper there had been extremely irate about the fact that he even had to be there, though the package had cheered him up right away, something that Kurt hadn't asked any questions about.

"It's just..." He trailed off.

Maybe it was something Jedi? That had to be it. "Lava."

His face scrunched.

The girl waived her hand towards Kurt lazily. "Oh, stop it." She said, shaking her head. "It's a survey of a Sith Lord's castle from a few hundred years ago." It wasn't that big of a deal, really. Pretty standard procedure. "Four days. We'll land, set up a base camp, then make our way up. Inside we'll take count of what is still intact, collect a few samples, take photographs, and then return to document our findings."

Jamie shrugged, "It's not a big deal, really."

The only mildly troublesome fact was that the planet was rather close to the borders of this First Order.

"What's the worst that will happen? There will be a handful of security guards, and me. I doubt that the First Order would attack such a place. What would be the point of coming to Mustafar? There's nothing to worry about."

He frowned for a moment, that wasn't really the part that worried him. Well...maybe not entirely accurate. The First Order was incredibly unpredictable as far as he could tell. One day they were claiming to be the great hope of the galaxy and the next they were crucifying pirates on the street. They did whatever seemed like the best impulse at the time, and if they suddenly wanted Mustafar then they would take it. He frowned for a moment more then shook his head.

"Alright." What was he gonna do? Tell her she couldn't go?

He was was her boyfriend, yes, but it wasn't like he could control her life. As much as he didn't like it Kurt wasn't about to stop Jamie from doing the things she wanted to do. "Just you know...tie a rope around yourself if you go anywhere near the lava falls."

His frown deepened.

"Actually, just wear a repulsor pack." Yeah that was for the best. "Will Aela be there?"

If the First Order did show up, then he wanted Jamie as safe as possible.

Jamie didn't quite understand why he was so dreadfully concerned with this. "Relax. I'll be fine. I promise." The blonde retrieved the silverware and continued cutting into a piece of the Shaak. A few small bites and a moment of pause in between she shook her head.

"No, I don't think she is coming."

She hadn't talked to Aela in a few days since learning of the expedition, so it was unlikely that the other girl even knew about it yet. "I could ask." She said, "But I don't know if it's her cup of caf." Besides, she was likely enjoying the bit of downtime she had earned herself over the past few weeks to do other things not involving travel to distant star systems.

"Alright." He told her with a smile.

Kurt still didn't really like the idea of Jamie getting so close to what was very likely about to be an active warzone, nor was he all that excited about her going to a Sith fortress, but again he wasn't really in a place to deny her anything she wanted.

So he would be quiet and supportive.

"Take some pictures for me." He told her with a smile. "The place is pretty cool if you're not dying of heat."

When he said that it meant something.

Jamie giggled slightly at the juxtaposition of the words cool and heat. It was silly and amused her.

"I'll see what I can do." She nodded, finishing the rest of what was in her plate before gently patting her lips again with her napkin and setting it aside, content with what she had eaten. A big sip of the wine followed before setting it back down on to the table. Her hands found their way to the back of her head, pulling the hair back and twisting it before the band around her wrist was pulled and looped around the golden strands to form a small bun.

"I suppose I should clean up now." If she waited, she knew they wouldn't get done. That was why her bedroom was always such a calculated mess.

Her parents would not approve of that elsewhere in the house.

Cleaning up was one of the other duties he had back home, and probably just about the only thing he would have been good for at a fancy party. The thought made him smile a little bit, but he decided not to share it with Jamie. "That."

The Courier said as he slowly stood.

"I can help with." Unlike cooking. He scooped up the drink besides his plate and quickly finished it, downing the rest of the citrusy alcohol and wandering over to Jamie's side of the table. He gently ran his fingers through her hair and kissed the top of her head, nuzzling for just a moment before whispering. "You stay put, relax."

He leaned down a bit more and kissed her lips. "I'll take care of this."

Easy enough. He knew where most everything was, and he could clean when he wanted to, though that wasn't often.

A smile beamed from side to side. Dishes were the worst. If Kurt wanted to do them himself, who was she to argue?

"Okay! Thank you!" She said, happily returning his kiss, holding it just a moment before breaking away. She picked her feet up from the floor and rested them on the seat Kurt had stood from, crossing one over the other while she watched him take the dishes away. "There are vacuum seals to keep the leftovers fresh in the draw over there." Jamie pointed towards where she was referring to.

"You can put it all in the refrigerator for now, just remember to take it before you leave tomorrow."

Again she took up her glass and sipped from it, watching Kurt.

"Did I ever tell you about that camera we bought? I don't think I was supposed to be given that. It's too high tech. I dare say it's almost a weapon. I think it's military or something."

"Huh." Kurt said as he continued with his task of putting everything away, considering what Jamie was actually saying to him.

He remembered the Camera pretty well, that thing had been expensive. Though in truth he remember what he and Jamie had done before they'd gotten the camera far better. He stopped soaking one of teh plates for a second, smirking as he remembered that Maintenance hall for a moment. Then he snapped back into reality. He continued to scrub the plate, glancing up at Jamie with a smile.

"Sounds like you got your moneys worth then." He told her with a smile. "Though, someone's probably missing it."

Some large galactic Corporation.

"Why is it too high tech?" What could possibly make a camera so great? Some zoom?

The Courier frowned as he placed one of the plates in a drying rack.

Azure eyes continued watching Kurt, her hands folding beneath her arms as she yawned, pulling free to cover her mouth briefly.

"Well, for one the zoom on it is enough to to make out details of a planet's moon from the ground. And that's just the beginning." The blonde dropped her feet back to the floor and stood up from the chair, scooping her glass of wine up between her ring and middle fingers while meandering over beside Kurt. Jamie placed her free hand on Kurt's shoulder and pressed her lips against his cheek, careful not to stand directly in his way of washing.

"And the flash on it can be set two different ways. The secondary function is something of a weapon. It directs a blinding light almost like something a soldier would use to disorient an enemy. It came in handy once already."

It had already paid itself off in that aspect, at least in her mind.

That sounded...odd. He frowned for a moment, looking up at Jamie as if he didn't quite believe her. What she described sounded like a camera that belonged underneath a reconnaissance ship, not in the hands of a person. The Courier frowned. "You'll have to show me."

Definitely.

"I can take some pictures of my own." Kurt smirked at her as he finally finished washing the largest of the dishes, placing the big serving bowl into the drying rack and just barely stopping it from tipping the whole thing over. He glanced towards her and smiled, then continued on with his work.

He still needed to wash the silverware, and put away the rest of the food.

"Are you going to drink more?" He asked as he plucked another platter from the table, another kiss planted on her cheek. "I encourage it."

The blonde shifted her head to the side, a blank expression falling over her face as she stared at Kurt in response to his take some pictures comment.

"I planned on it." She said, reaching for the bottle itself whilst sipping the remainder of the contents from the glass. "Figure maybe I will finish this bottle off."

Not a drop of sarcasm was there. "The whole thing."

A smirk quickly appeared and vanished as Jamie tiled the bottle up to her lips, the crimson liquid rushing forward to the delight of her taste buds.

Her hand drew back, pulling the rim of the bottle away before placing a wine-coated kiss on his cheek and sauntering over to the opposite side of the counter and propping herself up atop it. "After all, I've nothing else to do today."

Kurt was no expert in wines, but even he knew that entire bottle for just Jamie was quite a bit. His eyebrow raised as she tipped the bottle to her lips, his eyes watching the liquid slowly drop lower and lower until finally she pulled away and kissed his cheek. The Courier half turned, glancing back at her and then towards the dirty dishes on the Table. There was only the cups left, and he'd already put away all of the food, so there was no rush here.

"Well." Kurt said as he stretched slightly, his back straightening as he slowly began to make his way over towards her.

This house was still too big for him, and it seemed that the journey over to Jamie took him a year and a half. She watched him her fingers still wrapped around the bottle of wine, a slight smirk on her face that echoed the one he had worn only a few minutes before. His hands drew over her knees as he reached her, fingers slowly crawling up her thighs and gently wrapping around her. "I have a few things for you to do tonight."

He offered her a charming grin, his fingers slowly sliding higher and pulling her towards himself.

Sapphire eyes watched Kurt make his way to her, fingers tracing lines up her legs from the knees, pausing to pull her nearly off the edge of the counter top. Her heart skipped a beat, fearing for half a second that he was about to pull her off the edge. Her palms braced beneath her, though he didn't quite pull her far enough to fall. "Oh, you can?" Her tone indicated curiosity in her question.

"And what sort of things did you have in mind, exactly?"

Jamie tipped the bottle back once more, sipping from the glass cylinder again before shifting her sight back to her boyfriend.

"Maybe I will need more than one of these bottles."

That was unlikely. One bottle would be well and good to do her in just fine.

His hand slowly traced up her thighs, as smile painted on his face as she sat before him.

Kurt watched as she took another drink from the bottle, amusement playing across his lips at the idea of her drinking another one. The first would likely already see her drift off pretty far, a second one? Well she'd probably be falling down on her way up the stairs. It would be amusing, but probably not the best thing for tomorrow morning. "Well."

The Courier began as his hands slowly slid up her legs and to her hips.

"Do you remember..." He leaned forward and slowly began to kiss her. "What I told you in the theater?"

He lingered by her lips for a moment, his hands slipping beneath her shirt. "How I should always get my way?"

Her hands grabbed hold of Kurt's wrists, fingers wrapping around them to halt his exploring. "I do." Answering him quietly.

The blonde slipped off the edge, landing feet on the floor in front of him and pushing his hands to his sides. "I remember quite well." Turning she picked up the bottle once more, pulling it to her lips and winding her way around her boyfriend to head towards the main foyer with the large staircase that led up to the second floor of the estate.

"Get a bottle of something, whatever it is you want. Meet me upstairs."

And without pause Jamie made her way for the stairs leading up, a determined smirk on her face as she ran her fingers up the railing along the way.

For a few seconds Kurt simply lingered, watching his girlfriend climb the stairs in the distance and running her finger along the banister. He smiled and then slowly glanced over towards the bar area.

There were probably about a hundred or so different kinds of alcohols in there, most of them more expensive that Kurt's first Pod-racer had been to build. The Courier felt a bit awkward stealing Jamie's fathers alcohol to...well do things, but she was the one tempting him. Slowly Kurt wandered into the bar area, reading half a dozen labels before making a rather surprising discovery. A small smile twitched on his lips and he pulled free a bottle of Tatooine Aspha Tequila.

The drink was made utilizing standard methods, with an added ingredient of fermented Aspha. This rather remarkable moss supposedly had mystic healing properties, and gave the Tequila an incredibly sweet taste. It also meant this single bottle probably cost more than Jamie's camera had.

For a second he held it, and then shrugged. "I can be bad now and again."

Kurt told himself as he stood and quickly followed Jamie upstairs, hearing a giggle come from her bedroom.

Jamie set the still mostly full bottle of wine down on her end table after stepping into her bedroom. From there she shuffled some of the clutter away from her floor and into the corner of the room, mostly clothing and a number of odds and ends that happened to be lying about. In the end there was about a knee high pile of belongings off on the far side of the room with plenty of sitting area on the floor for the two of them.

By the time Kurt reached her room he would see her sitting facing the doorway, her bottle beside her left knee, and a small deck of playing cards in front of her.

There was a coy smile on her face as she eyed him upon stepping into the room.

"Hi." That was all she said at first, instead observing him as he looked at her with some measure of curiosity and suspicion.

"Play a game with me?" It sounded innocent enough.
