Chaos had erupted on the bridge and the piles of dead Vong were dropping before her, physically and mentally – she was becoming drained. Fighting Yuuzhan Vong were like fighting Sith Lords in their prime in their own right, mostly due to the inability to utilize the Force directly on them and their hellish armor made of that damned crab. One who knew the Vong knew they could use telekinesis in a crushing manner or lightning to defeat the Vong, but Aaralyn never practiced any form of lightning. Tyrena would move swiftly to the left to deflect an incoming biot, while she spun to the right with Kor-Vella in her left hand, reverse grip and deflected a second.
A sensation rippled through her that was like an alarm through the Force and it was a feeling she was familiar with but unfortunately - she was offbeat. As she finished her spinning maneuver, the clanking sound of the rolling and bouncing thermal detonators caught her ear but just barely and the threat indicator in her HUD indicated the direction they were coming from. In a blur of speed, she hurled Yuuzhan Vong corpses in the direction of the thermal detonators, unaware of the second threat that was blurring in in a wispy black trail of darkened energy.
The thermal detonators exploded, and they did with such an explosive force that cracked the very foundations of the bridge itself leading to the generators – although it did not cause them to give way. A spray of Yuuzhan Vong parts, Vonduun crab armor and various discarded weaponry was sent flying in different directions. No doubt, extreme amounts of weight and more explosive damage from shelling (as which happened earlier) would cause the bridge to give way in large sections and send who knows what into the chilly waters below.
Aaralyn had felt it at the last second, somewhere in the Force – someone screamed a warning. The impact of the Spear against her chest was as if her chest had been caved in. The world felt as if were spinning and her vision was suddenly blinded by a thousand suns. She felt something crack, deep within her chest wall – most likely her sternum. Her armor buckled underneath the pressure as she was thrown back ten yards, tumbling like a leaf in the wind. In her trip back towards the generator doors, she knocked over what Republic Troopers who were left and Vong attempting to attack those positions before coming to rest against a make shift barricade. Her eyes had clenched shut from the pain and the Force was screaming at her. She felt like it was raging, as if it were a rampant river. No longer did the Force speak to her in a smooth, calming manner - like flowing creek water through her body. Her eyes suddenly flashed open, glowing orbs of violet revealed the true feelings boiling within her - anger and the desire to destroy the other individual. The Vahla within her cried out for blood, it yearned to rip the face off [member="Matsu Xiangu"] and feed it to the man eating sharks and then drain every ounce of blood within her body and rain it down upon the Sith.
Oh she was pissed.
Her right hand trembled as she brought it up to her face, raspy quick breaths as she struggled to breathe through the sternal fracture. The more she breathed, the more it hurt. The more it hurt, the more it empowered her to want to destroy the very life force of the woman who caused the pain. ‘Control the emotions.’ She heard the voice of her father echo in her mind. Yes, control. Her eyes shifted to her left to stare at the broken hilt of Tyrena at her side, a grim look appearing on her facial features.
‘Well, now you’ve done it.’ She thought to herself as she threw the lightsaber over the edge of the bridge and into the waters below. A personal gift from her father, destroyed by the One Sith but atleast she still had it's twin, Kor-Vella. Well now, things just got a little personal didn’t they? Aaralyn slowly rose to her feet, struggling to regain her footing and using every means possible to stand on her own two feet. Finally, after a moment or two, she managed to get upright and her violet eyes immediately found the sneaky form of Matsu in and out of Vong formations.
Aaralyn needed to isolate the woman and then beat her within an inch of her life, but would prove extremely difficult considering the amount of Vong pouring from the pores of the One Sith offensive areas. It would be easier and more likely successful just to get her head on and take her there. Her type of woman, apparently one of those tricksters with the mind would attack from behind and keep bombarding until the individual was weakened enough and finally they would go in for the kill.
No, Aaralyn needed to come in, head on and get her down to the ground – and that’s exactly what she would do. While Matsu was moving between Vong formations, trying to keep her eyes on the injured Rekali, Aaralyn moved between Republic troops who were fighting Vong – using Force speed to her advantage. Despite how quickly she would advance, she’d falter here and there due the injury to her chest but she wouldn’t allow Matsu to see her coming. With the mixed emotions and raw energy flowing around the battlefield, one might even say it would be hard to detect her coming until it was too late.
As soon as Aaralyn was on her, she unleashed herself. Matsu wasn’t as big as Aaralyn thought she was, infact she was a lot smaller than Aaralyn – but that didn’t matter. Aaralyn came in low, intent on spearing the smaller framed woman, lifting her as high as possible *mostly due to injury* and slamming her down into the permacrete with such a force it would either daze her or knock her out cold.
