Slate Estrada
Character
Location: Streets of Ahto City, heading towards the centre of the city
Objective One: Get to the generators and then proceed to set up a perimeter
Allies: [member="Spark Finn"] | [member="Odeyseis"]
Foes: All One Sith
The voice that replied to Slate was not expected. It sounded like a young girl who was barely out of her teens. Surely this situation was suitable for anyone that young, one could only imagine the mental stress she would be putting her body through. But alas, this was not the time to worry about this.
"Understood, me and my men will join the forces outside. We'll hold them off for as long as possible until reinforcements arrive. Good luck." Slate cut the transmission as another voice crackled into his headset. ""This is Jedi knight Odeyseis Dryar, Republic's forces is setting up a perimeter around the generators, we need every available gunmen to help on the defense." Immediately Slate again activated his communication unit and replied, "I'm approaching the generators now. When I get there, rendezvous with me at the North blast door. Estrada out." It was entirely possible for Slate and the Jedi to discuss battle plans over the radio, however truth be told, Slate felt ridiclious talking into a device such as that.
Looking behind him, the Sergeant Major was relieved to see his men had kept up. The generator was now less than 100 metres away, they were so close that the large building housing the generators was blocking the sun and therefore plunging Slate and his team into darkness. "Alright," Slate roared over all the commotion, "Let's set up a perimeter! Our priority is this blast door. If our line is broken, Ahto will fall and the Sith will win." All 24 of the armour clad men began to move to defensive positions behind any objects they could find, "And remember, don't make this easy for them!" After finishing this speech, the newly formed unit unleashed their battle cry. It was only a matter of time until they would be the only thing standing between the One Sith and victory.
Instead of taking cover like his comrades, Slate waited for the Jedi Knight Odeyseis to show.
