Invasion I'm On A Boat [OS-Republic Invasion of Manaan]

Location: Ahto City, Kolto Facility
Allies: [member="Kian Karr"] - [member="James Mathison"] - [member="Qae Shena"] - [member="Corvus Raaf"] - The Republic
Enemies: [member="Xilo Gale"] - One Sith
Objective 2: Hold the Kolto Facility

Varus was totally and completely protected behind the three or so inch thick durasteel door, considering the angle that the shots had come from. He knew that he would not need to move until the enemy was near, and so he continued to feel outward through the force, eyes closed and mind spanning through the facility slowly like an invisible fog slowly enveloping everything around them. That's when he sensed the others somewhere nearby in the facility. He could sense Kian clearly, but the other presences he couldn't quite place yet aside from the fact that he could easily tell their affiliation with the light.

It was a relieving feeling to know that there were sparks of light in so much darkness that impeded the peace lost only a few minutes before, but thoughts like this would have to take a back seat to the moment at hand. There was an enemy trying to best him, and he would fail and pay full price for the lives he took without cause. Death or Decay would be his price, and in that moment as the force set a twinge through his spine, Varus eyes shot open. He dashed back from the door as a saber burst through the durasteel and began to slowly cut through it, and in that moment, that split second, Varus had devised his plan.

Grabbing the latch to the door, Varus swung it free, the door sliding back into the wall next to him. As he threw the door open as quickly as he could he put pressure on it's edge with one hand intent on forcing [member="Xilo Gale"]'s saber to be caught, his blade hopefully pinched between the sliding durasteel door and durasteel wall in which it was trying to retract. That same moment Varus stepped through the halfway open door, raised his right leg and kicked at the young, white haired man. As he did, he aimed the bottom of his boot for his chest intent on planting it there in order to send him flying from the top of the tower staircase on which they stood.

J.Reaper

leave no one behind
Reaper, was going down an elevator down to the facility since he would not be of good use under water combat and he was better fit inside. He checked his ammo then when the elevator had stopped he ran out then activated his coms "Varus where are you? this is reaper" he waited for reply when he saw the fight going on under the water, then he heard footsteps around him and aimed his rifle waiting.

Objective 2: Provide cover Kill the jedi scum

Xilo was working hard to cut the durasteel door open preoccupied with it so much that be barely noticed the door opening. Looking over and staring the jedi dead in the eyes Xilo took the kick flying backwards over the edge of the railing of the staircase. Everything seemed to move in slow motion to him now as he fell backwards a feeling of hate filling him. Did that man just kick me? ME?! Xilo screamed inside his head as his legs caught onto the railing while the rest of his body went down his hands finding the bottom railing that he clutched onto letting the rest of his body fall to make it seem like he had fallen.

Using the momentary distraction Xilo began to shimmy across the railing Xilo couldn't help but curse the man in his head not willing to speak as it would give away his position. Finally reaching the side of the tower Xilo swung back and forth using his body as a fulcrum before he launched himself at the side of the tower. For a second it seemed as though he wouldn't make it his heart dropping as his left hand slipped past the edge. However reaching out with his right he caught it and hung on for dear life till he got a good grip with the left hand to make him more stable. Once again the dark skinned man shimmied across the side of the tower till he reached the window he had shot through. Popping up with his sonic pistol in hand a maniac look on his face Xilo said "Here's Xilo!" Then he pulled the trigger quickly following it by pulling himself into the room and holstering the weapon. He would draw his second lightsaber activating the blade this time a green one emitting from the hilt.

Patrica gave one last hug to Romeo and then picked up her rifle loading one of her last clips of BASIC slugs into it. She was hurt and was sore In places she didn't know existed, but it was time to keep fighting. Cocking back the rifle she chambered a fresh round into the Czerka assault rifle and moved to engage. Looking up she saw her ex fiancé bring down a wall of brick and durasteel. The wall of the building collapsed onto the street crushing Yuuzhan Vong and sith underneath it leaving a pile of rubble two meters or so high. It wouldn't stop sith forces much but it would work to help the republic push up a bit. "MOVE UP!!" Patricia said to her troops. The marines gave out another chant and cries of hope to push up the mound of rubble taking various positions in collapsed wall. Patricia herself climbed it a bit and leveled her rifle at incoming forces. Taking aim at a sith trooper she toggled the rifle to semi automatic and fired a good two shots into the sith troopers helmet sending sparks and blood shooting out the other side. Moving to another target the red dressed agent fired pierced the throat of a Vong warrior. She had lost count of how many she had killed but it still wasn't enough to stem the tide. Besides her the gunner from the first squad she linked up with smiled at Patricia and set up a fresh Judge LMG. The beast of a rifle roared and began to spread heavy fire down into the incoming forces. Hope was still with them, but that didn't mean they did not take losses.

Massive fifteen meter talk walkers were on the deck and approaching a few hundred yards away. They were massive and the Justice walkers were out of missiles to take them down. And there was no way basic rockets would take them down. The Justice walkers shifted up unaware of the danger until it was too late. A shell from the sith walkers hit the Justice walker on the right of the street in a dead impact. Exploding out the back fire and shrapnel killed the operators and the monstrous ten meter giant groaned and fell over to it's side not crushing anyone thankfully. The second walker much like the first one exploded in a shower of sparks and burning metal. Falling backwards the walkers were out of the picture leaving the line with less defenses now. "Mother €¥&$!" Patricia shouted and looked back at the Osprey light tanks. Alone one of them could not dream to take on the walkers but together they could stand a chance. At least against one of the two mechanical monsters stomping their way.

Patricia grunted and gave her orders loudly and crisp. "Ospreys! Shift fire on the forward walker!" The tanks united now aimed their large heavy explosive blasters at the first sith walker that was under [member="Ludolf Vaas"] command. Charging up the tanks let out a powerful volley of tank fire at the walker's front cockpit hoping to take it down before the second could weaken their forces further. Patricia seeing the tanks go to work she shifted back to the incoming infantry and went back to work. Firing shot after shot she dropped a good ten more troopers and Vong just wanting all of this mess to go away.

Fire shook the transport as it flew through the skies of Manaan. So far there had not been much action on Lisa part and her impatience was growing. Her temper seeped out from her in waves, sickening any who would touch her though the force. The vong remained silent, for once in their entire lives actually scared. Not daring to release her wrath upon them.

"Pilot keep us down low, avoid the defense batteries!"

The pilot simply nodded, nosediving the transport as beams of cannon fire and flak shells boomed outside of the hull. Red hot razor shrapnel tore through one bulkhead, sending itself searing into lisa's thigh. She roared with a vengeance and grabbed a cargo net to brace her self.

In the force she could feel Darth Praelior. Her dark meditation were beginning to stir waves in the serenity of the jedis pathetic little world. They were almost right on top of the source.

"Drop us here, take the ship and it's Kolto back to the fleet!"

Without another the ship dropped low, hovering five feet above the deck of the Kolto distribution center. Lisa jumped down, shouldering her sniper rifle and made her way inwards with the troopers in tow. They navigated several corridors and flights of stairs until they were just outside the room the Dark Lord occupied.

Lisa stepped in first, taking a knee.

"The rift has been sealed your Lordship, what further orders await?"

The air burst as the beast opened gapping jaws the smell of blood and ocean's spray beckoning him forth from slumber as a banquet beckoned the starving beggar. Lives sweet lives called to his ample hunger and whispered 'come'. Their words, their screams, the sounds of their weapons were nought but a soft buzz as that of insects as he dove into the azure waves. His call would echo through the deep, a predator claiming his hunting geounds. White vortices of displaced water trailed as his massive tail slapped the waters above and was as quickly gone.

Down, down he dove as the world above screamed with battle. The smaller things never learned...they were all nought but meals for those that chose to take them. He turned as the keepers bid toward the city but could they control what they barely could contain? Massive webbed forelegs paddled as the beast turned toward the surgace and the gates of the city, the gates of destruction. Soon the beast broke the surface a terrible terrible

Varus slowly toured around the tower looming to the ground below him trying to get eyes on his target before he made his next move. He took his time as he glance over either side of the railing looking for the man, but he didn't see him sprawled across the floor on his back or rushing back up the staircase to the tower. That meant that he was still on the tower somewhere, though Varus had lost track of him.

About the time he realized that this white haired creature was a bit more resourscful than he had expected the force swelled on him again, warning him of danger. Without even glancing over his shoulder to see Xilo, Varus grabbed the railing in front of him and hopped over it in one bound, throwing himself from the tower. He could hear a blot ting against the railing as it glanced off of the metal bar he'd just jumped over to get himself out of the tower as quickly as he could.

He fell about 30 feet to the ground, using a small burst of for energy from either hand to soften his landing. When he landed he tumbled, to further lessen the stress his legs would take, from the fall. He rolled up to his feet after tumbling and fell into a strong, precise stride, either hand reaching up and tugging his brown leather flight jacket up over his shoulders. As he removed the jacket he reached over and draped it across a railing nearby. He then turned to face the tower, stopping and folding his hands behind his back as his cold blue eyes searched for Xilo as he called out to him.

"Enough games. If you wish to challenge me then challenge me, but come down here and stand on even ground and allow me to send you on your way quicker so that we don't waste one another's time.", Varus said, realizing that this might upset his foe, yet knowing that it would only work to his favor the angrier the other man got. "I have more important things to tend to."

Though he had made orders for a Yorik-Trema to be prepared along with his personal guard, the Dragon Lord remained in the command center of the Phobos. He was watching the battle happen through what appeared to be eyestalks. An organic screen was in the center and Mordecai knew how Yuuzhan Vong were about technology, which was the sole reason his own set of armor had been ingrained with only the tiniest fraction of such things. It was always better to be the more honorable and hardy opponent as opposed to someone who used cunning, wit, and treachery to get their way. That simply wasn't the way of the warrior.

"Pull back our fighters. That one little pest of an enemy fighter has caused too much trouble for us to worry." He chewed his lip in thought, attempting to speculate how a simple man could avoid the fire arcs of five frigates, get close to their flagship, and manage to avoid the steely glares of over four hundred fighters. "Just leave him be."

"Yes, my lord."

Jal'sho was being rather quiet today. His earlier advice had been minimal at best. The Dragon Lord merely assumed he had been caught in his own world, directly communicating with his sister on the Antimone and the tens of thousands of minds that were connected to it this very moment. It could be considered to be something on par with Battle Meditation, though Mordecai would sadly never experience this occurrence. The cursed genes of the Epicanthix prevented him from reveling in direct contact to his brothers.

"Pull our formation tighter, watch the fire arcs and adjust as necessary."

  • Fighters pulled away from [member="Keanu Shan"].
  • Formation the same, closing in intervals.

Laughter rang out, rich with pleasure and rife with power. It was an almost heady sensation, her head tossed back as the viciously melodic sound erupted from her throat. Crimson curls stained dark with the blood of the fallen swirled around her in a nimbus even as her attention was drawn away to one of those who served the Emperor. A woman, strong and defiant in her own right, standing near to her side and pledging her fealty in a clear voice.

It brought a wicked smile to Invicta's features, fangs gleaming in the light. "Your pledge is well received..." the woman began to say, only to have words forestalled by the inimitable arrival of Master Kiskla Grayson. If nothing else, the woman at least had the sense to make a proper entrance...not bad for a filthy lightsider. Kaine moved to offer a greeting of his own, and she spared her husband a simple touch of the mind. Fleeting and light, in order that she would not distract him from the dark purpose that guided him.

Turning back to Ire'Rain, the Empress nodded. "...then as an extension of my will, fight with me and hold nothing back."

It was soon enough that another Jedi, reeking of the foul stench inherent in the light jumped into the fray, announcing his presence with the traditional bray of all his kind. Bravado filled words that no one heeded fell on the bleeding bodies of Republic soldiers and Vong warriors alike. Many more Vong remained standing, and they poured forth like a scourge to scour the city clean of infidels. The woman very nearly purred with pleasure as the Jedi brandished dual lightsabers.

"I'm so pleased you've come to play...I thought I'd have no one to entertain me." Invicta said to him, voice slithering through the air to him unerringly. Unlike so many of her brethren, she wasted no time on florid speeches or inelegant maneuvers. With a burst of speed granted her from the life energy she'd siphoned from the dead soldiers at her feet, she surged forward to engage the Jedi. Swords and form alike streaked through the space between as she aimed a flurry of vicious slashes at his core, seeking to split his torso and shred his flesh to ribbons.

Glitter's arrival provided the perfect counterpoint to her attack.

Now THAT was a creature who knew how to make a proper entrance.

All she got in response to her frankly very polite greeting was a screech, a cacophony of sounds in painful audial assault that she closed her mind off to after a quick wince – one of the older tricks in the book, but effective.

And the message was loud and clear.

She moved on instinct as their team felled the last of the defenders, yanking one of her knives out of the back of the woman in front of her before moving inside. Her power was a whisper as she reached out for the minds within the bridge, getting a feel for the guardians. The brunette of the Jedi gathered in defense of the bridge presented the greatest challenge and Matsu recognized her immediately as the one who’d given her a sonic slapping only a few moments prior, accompanied by an enormous Trianii with at least two feet on Matsu.

Stalking forward, she saw Reverance move towards the blast doors blocking the path towards their primary target. In the meantime she would deal with the Jedi.

As she closed the distance between herself and her targets she reached out for the Trianii’s mind, digging for anything to use against him. Hmmm…ah, there…afraid of water, are we? Convenient. The best illusions were those drawn from believable circumstance, from the deepest fears in a victim’s mind mixed with the things already present. If Matsu were to make him believe a horde of spiders was crawling inside his armor he was bound to figure it out within seconds – but water?

They were on a floating city.
She dug her claws in, building an illusion thick and gripping.

[SIZE=12pt]The city rumbled again, a momentarily deafening silence succeeding the vibration until all the sudden water was rushing in to the corridors the Jedi were guarding, violent waves slamming against reinforced glass, white-froth curls before speeding down to fill the tunnel.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Horrible images, the sensation of suffocating as the water filled the corridor in seconds – an entire ocean’s worth of pressure, a death sentence, pressed against the edges of a glass coffin watching the sun grow dimmer under the waves as the city sank with all of them inside. She was close by then, ratcheting her way in to his head. Of course, he could resist her – entirely a possibility. But this was what she did, spent years of her own pain perfecting. She was careful to keep her some of her attention on him should he somehow worm through her distraction, not willing to be caught unaware as she turned her gaze to the Master.

Pulling the other Mohc-knife from its sheath at her hip, she spun the hilts in practiced fingers, a split-second’s reprieve before she sprinted forward with a speed enhanced by the Force, the knife in her left hand parallel to her body just below her chest in a guard, the other pointed right for the Master’s heart – though she certainly hoped it wouldn’t be so easy.

Ludolf stared through his binoculars with satisfaction as his walkers succeeded in destroying the enemy Republic walkers. The behemoth AT-AW walkers were slow but immensely armored, and provided massive firepower. Then, the Republic forces under [member="Patricia Susan Garter"]'s command did something rather unexpected. They began to advance. It was an incredibly bold move, to be sure.

If they had retreated to mount a defense at the generator, they would have probably eluded his grasp. But now Overlord Vaas would show them the consequences of charging into an entire battalion of elite heavy infantry of the Blackblade Guard.

The Guard responded in kind, unleashing a torrent of blaster fire on every Republic marine that broke cover and advanced towards them. Vaas was included in the fray, peppering volley after volley of blaster bolts and watching as men died under his aim. It was a truly heroic stand of sorts - Vaas had to give them that. Either incredibly brave or totally foolhardy, perhaps both. Vaas' trigger finger never let up as his bolts downed man after man unfortunate enough to come into his crosshairs, while the rest of his men relentlessly assaulted the outnumbered Republic troops. Every man he observed, he killed without mercy, unleashing a bloodbath on the advancing Republic line. With every passing moment, he made another widow somewhere in the galaxy.

Meanwhile, Republic Osprey tanks were approaching. "Enemy armor incoming! Bring half of our rocket launchers up to the line," Vaas commanded.

Some of his rocket launcher men, who had been at the ready on anti-aircraft duty, moved to engage the Republic Ospreys. The enemy tanks were focus firing one of the AT-AW walkers. Both of the heavy walkers fired back to defend themselves, unleashing their incredible firepower upon the Ospreys, although the AT-AW to Ludolf's left was getting hit and beginning to take significant damage. The Overlord watched as his forces met the Ospreys with a hellstorm of anti-tank rockets, headed directly at them.

"Where are the rest of our tanks?" Vaas demanded.

"Currently finishing preparations, sir."

"I want them engaged. We will waste no time in destroying them." Soon, his position would be supplanted by reinforcements for the upcoming push against the Republic at the doors of the generator facility. As fate would have it, the end of his statement was punctuated by a roar that came from the sea.

Location: Orbiting Kuat, departing with the Republic Fleet

Objective: Defeat the Sith Fleet over Manaan

Allies: Admiral [member="Friedrich Stahlmann"]

Enemies: Sith Fleet

This certainly wasn't a day of service Camellia had been expecting. In fact a lot of what was going on lately nowadays wasn't what she was expecting. A promotion to the rank of Commodore for example was out of the blue for her, not that she was complaining about receiving a commendation for her service. Zeltros and Alderaan had been nightmares, ones she never wanted to relive. Guiding a Medical Frigate and directing a field hospital during the attempted invasion of Alderaan to reclaim the conquered world had been stressful, and in the end they had failed. Zeltros was both worse and better in her opinion. They had been more successful she believed, they had killed plenty of the Sith's monsters at the time, although they had suffered many losses themselves. The Palace had been taken and the Spaceport half ruined, but they had managed to deny the Sith the communication hub at the very least. It had been terrifying though, being so close to death, stuck in a room where the enemy could kill her easily if they reached her, escape uncertain. . . . .

Apparently there was a lot of trouble going on now again, and Kuat was abuzz as the Republic forces gathered there attempting to coordinate the situation. In truth she was nervous. The Sith offensives were becoming much more brutal and horrific with each conquest, but perhaps that was due to the fact she was a naval officer constantly grounded to infantry operations. She tried her best to appear confident and calm sitting on the bridge of the Destroyer she was in command of now. Even if she was uncertain and worried, she had to look prepared and composed. At the very least she wouldn't let her concern reach the crew.

Still, she did feel confident about some things. If there was trouble she highly doubted she would be deployed groundside, and if she was the Rendili Battlemaster's Company was on board and ready for deployment, and they were far better equipped than the standard security teams she normally commanded. Plus the ship she herself was commanding was a morale booster. She hadn't really seen many of them fielded, but now she was in command of one herself for these operations it seemed. It wasn't the Noblesse class that Rendili Stardrive and the Republic Military had been working on feverishly for so long, which did leave her disappointed in the slow crawl of production, but still, it was a beast of a ship and she dared anyone to willingly engage it in close range.

And it looked like she would get the chance.

Camellia stared at the communication screen as the message came through: all gathered ships were to head to Manaan. That was it then, that was where the trouble was this time. The combat report coming through wasn't reassuring though. A command ship? Did the Sith ever have a vessel that large? She hoped it wasn't anything like the Darkblade class the Sith Navy fielded. . . .although it seemed like two of those were going to be there as well, along with supporting carriers. How wonderful. . . . ."Helm, bring us about for the exit point, prepare for hyperspace. Have all crew prepare for battle ready conditions, we'll likely engage when we reenter above Manaan. Communications, ping the Admiral's flagship and let him know we're taking our position."

Viktor removed the stealth gear and threw it down along the hall as he put on his mask. The suit had had been wearing polymorphed into his traditional attire as he made his way to where the kolto samples and final products were being held. After determining that the facility had been successfully captured by himself, called up the team leader [member=Darth Praelior] "I have secure the Silk holdings Kolto stores. It is ready for extraction, awaiting further instructions." He put down the holocommunicator and walked towards the sample.

Viktor grabbed one of the canisters containing a small amount of the liquid and held it in his cold mechanic hand. He screwed the top off and used his shoulder scanner to examine the chemicals of the sample. It held great promise but even with this small sample, Viktor could tell of the promise that is held to regain it's past glory. It could be improved, made stronger than bacta. This opportunity excited Viktor and he placed the bacta into his back pocket to keep for sampling. He still needed to examine the core itself, hopefully he would be able to examine the rift itself and obtain a sample.

The source would be able to hold more promise and even moreso what lay beneath it. Viktor turned his focus back to the situation at hand and awaited the instructions with what to do with the kolto.

Xilo had fired and entered the room just in time to see the man jump over the ledge dodging the sonic round. This was no mere coincidence. No ordinary man could've known what was about to happen with the small warning Xilo had gave... He was dealing with a jedi. Excitement flared in the man as he finally got to face a jedi for the first time in what felt like years. This would be way better then killing gansters, and thugs. He would have a true challenge. Something to test his skills on and go bragging to the other acolytes about. Shoving it down Xilo made his way to the terminal where he began to activate the power sequences thus shutting off all the lights in the room that him and the jedi were in. Everything was cast into darkness that mixed well with Xilo's midnight skin making it seem as though he had disappeared.

"I don't know what you're talking about. This is all a game!" Xilo shouted back to the man as he stabbed downwards into the console with the lightsaber severing all the cords so the lights couldn't be turned back on. Instead of exiting out the door like most would he jumped out the window catching himself on the ledge first. Then he would drop once more grabbing onto the railing of stairs before dropping one more time and landing close to where he had heard the man's voice come from. "Haven't you realized this yet?" Xilo asked as he activated his saber once again the green blade extending with a snap hiss sound. "This battle is a game... No this whole war is a game. ME and you are the pawns." Xilo said "You want your battle on equal ground. So come and get it."

James followed Corvus' lead and moved for the sub. They would need to regroup somewhere that the Sith weren't gonna have a head start. James sent bolts repelling back towards the last of their owners, also, James could see no reason to let them keep the Kolto.

James pulled a canister of fuel for the subs, he took it and rigged the canister so it would leak. Using TK, James tossed the canister to one of the already cracked parts. The canister slammed into the hole, James deflected a bolt into the canister, detonating it. The hole got bigger, much bigger. At least, he could try and lose the kolto here to the sea. James hoped that there were weapons on the sub big enough to at least take away more of the kolto.

AHTO CITY KOLTO FACILITY

[member="Darth Carach"]'s revelation, and the ensuing emotions, would go without response. Because [member="James Mathison"] had just made a very large hole below the waterline of the Silk Holdings kolto facility. The One Sith objective being to capture or destroy the kolto, he'd just handed a large portion of the objective to the Sith on a silver platter.

Selka was only partially aware of this. She was too busy being washed out to sea as the shrapnel-riddled floor collapsed under her. A cold fury filled her as she remembered the last time someone on the Republic side had done something like this to the Silk Holdings kolto facility in Ahto City. The casualties had been severe; she herself had spent time in a coma as a result, and after her awakening she'd struggled with memories of claustrophobia, helplessness, cold...drowning.

She'd done her time in the Jedi before being discharged for Force-weakness. She knew the Order fairly well, knew that lone-wolf actions were part and parcel of the Jedi movement just as they were part of the Sith tradition. She hadn't dreamed-

Well, no time for such considerations now. Right now she was being buffeted by freezing ocean, lacerated by shredded metal, healed by diluted kolto, burned by salt water -- injured, healed, injured, healed. Tortured. Mathison's sabotage had put her through the bottom of Ahto City, and back into the hell she'd dreamed of ever since the last time the 'good guys' worked their magic on this city and this company. They had not been pleasant dreams.

The explosion would rock them all.

Water would blast Nephthys and the Yuuzhan Vong forces back under the water, sending them in a spiral of explosions as fire and shrapnel would slice and burn against the algae. Kolto, saltwater, and a fury of air bubbles would send the Vahla into the depths, the glowing sphere of energy illuminating the depths of the sea.

Blood would stain the water red. Just like that, Nephthys would float under and sink, her arms floating above her.

She would stay still for a few precious moments, silence in the ocean. It was almost surreal.

Then it happened.

The Will of the Goddess. The stir of power. The fear. The anger. The panic. The sensation of helplessness.

Righting herself, the Darth Lord would start to swim, weaving through sinking body parts of Vong. There.

The origin of that silent cry.

[member="Selka Ventus"]

Thump thump. Thump thump. Mere heartbeats.

A second later the dimunitive Sith would latch a hold at the gruff of Selka's shirt, tugging the mocha skinned woman towards her. Tiny arms would wrap round. An echo would stir in the Force, and in that instance the Child of Vahl would use telekinetics to push down and them up to breach the sea.

Objective 2: Hold the Kolto Facility

Varus glanced around the facility as the lights went down and they were covered by darness. He wasn't fazed by the occurrence, knowing that if he must he could very well fight with his eyes closed and use the Center of Being technique. Even then, the other man seemed to be eager to use a lightsaber, something that seemed a little off to Varus. It defeated the purpose of combat in the dark, as a lightsaber would constantly give away both of their positions.

"So you believe the darkness is to your advantage?", Varus asked as he glanced around, the only light in the dome structure afforded to them coming from the little bits of light from the dim waters on all sides of them. The next moment he heard the man's saber ignite, which emitted an emerald glow that lit up Xilo's features. That was the one moment that Varus had been allowed to get a good look at Xilo, his dark skin blending rather nicely in the darkness but for the long white hair he sported and the bright, glowing saber he held.

"I hate to break it to you, but I am no stranger to the darkness. I was born in it and grew with its comfort from a young man. I merely prefer the warmth of the light. The darkness was always there, and it's certainly not your Ally in this fight.", he said, watching the man carefully as he unfolded his arms and plucked from his belt one of two sabers dangling from his hip. He then took the saber in his right hand, held it out and activated it, a violet colored blade surging forth and illuminating him in a purple hue.

He lowered his right hand to about waist level, holding his saber up and pointed towards Xilo vertically as he turned his right shoulder towards the man. He limited his targetable area by standing with his right shoulder towards him and his left away as he took up a form close in origin to Makashi. He clicked his boots together, keeping his feet close in order to move quickly with short, precise steps. He looked like some kind of a poised musketeer, but hist blade was hot, and the form he used was one that he himself had been developing. The Way of the Accipiter.

"After you, Love.", Varus said, holding out his free hand as if he were holding a door open for the other man, but suggesting that he get them started.

Odeyseis heard Sera's objection after he told her that he will protect her, the knight knew that she will not listen to him, even if her life was at the stake, that would remind him of Kaira, her beloved dead friend. With Kaira in mind, Odeyseis knew there was nothing to do to change the Twi'lek's mind, he decided to let her be and take the byzantine Twi'lek as a backup; "Alright, Sera. Just watch out then. I'm sure we'll do good protecting the generator." The knight gave her a smile and turned just to see a group of soldiers approaching where they were, they were leaded by Slate Estrada.

As soon as the sergeant gave the order to his men, Odeyseis approached to him and greeted him by saying: "Jedi knight Dryar, good to see that you are here, sergeant." Indeed, the Jedi was glad, he knew that he needed every Republic soldier to fight this battle. Odeyseis proceeded to gave the sergeant a suggestion: "I suggest to take command from the rest of the infantry, we have two drop ships and a gunship at your command, sergeant. I am sure that you have more experience commanding soldiers than I am. I am at your disposal too if you need assistance." Odeyseis was sure that Slate was more capable than him to order the soldiers to defend the blast doors as best as the sergeant sees fit.

When Odeyseis finished talking, he and the rest of his allies heard a thunderous roar coming not so far away. "What was that?" Odeyseis asked, oblivious to the Sentinel that it was Glitter ( [member="Dralshy'a"] ).
