Crix suddenly genuflected before Thais, which confused her slightly, but she wasn't going to turn away a little bit of comfort at this moment. After he kissed her hand, she helped him back up to his feet. And at this point, she drank the strong alcohol down. One drink wouldn't hurt the baby and the liquor would soothe her frayed nerves.

By the Holy Stars, they were finally going! Thais looked the wookiee up and down as though he wasn't a seven foot tall mountain of muscle which could rip both of her arms out at once, and in her haughtiest tone said, "I do not need to be carried by Gorran, thank you. I can walk myself. I am pregnant, not disabled!" She still wore the oversized brocaded jacket she had pulled from her suitcase. She wrapped it around her tighter, knowing there would be gawkers to pass by on their way out. The press might not know they were there, but it still didn't help that Thais felt like, not just a criminal, but a common harlot as well. She was about to lose her crown and have her baby out of wedlock.

But despite this misfortunate, there seemed to be a little more color in her cheeks and almost a spring in her step now that she knew they were leaving the prison. Her ears perked up at the mention of "luxury suites."

"Crix, we should contact the Palace and let them know we're on the way. And then I would like a shower aboard the ship."

I will continue to give the orders until I'm in slave chains, thought Thais.

It seemed the princess was not so free afterall. That was nice. Crix stepped out of the cell as the giant wookie walked in and took a knee. He was quite sizable. Crix had expected Thais to jump at the chance at being carried after the day she'd had but it seemed her pride prevented that. He'd accept being carried if the wookie was more attractive an offered. Alas he'd just have to walk.

"I can do that me and the deputy governor enjoyed good relations prior to this" He smiled. He would continue to have good relations he reconed he did afterall plan to devolve the majority of power to the democratic government. Perhaps he could finally have the deputy-governor over for dinner, he had quite the attractive wife.

Then the Mando returned his attention to him. "Very well" He replied "But I have some things to do ... " Like his toby . "So I'll meet you back at the palace" He needed to pick up Toby first and tell his beautiful Darlin' that he was safe again now. He had been so worried He needed to check on [member="Cryax Bane"] at some point too then he could be moved to Isis's royal court. Crix was not really bothered what Draco wanted to do it didn't matter to him he was a rich, rich man now and that's all that mattered to him Draco could do as he wished to Isis.

Then they began to walk out of the prison as Thais began sounding off orders. He nodded "I'll will contact Isis but I'm afraid I can't join you I still need to handle the wedding fallout, we don't want any more trouble on your mind" He was so glad he wasn't stuck on that ship with her. He couldn't wait to enter his own transport to return to his ship, his quiet , Thais-free ship.

I almost laughed at the Princess. Her final attempts at maintaining some level of pompousness and regality were almost laughable. To be fair, she was losing everything in the next few weeks and being forced to hand everything she had worked for, inherited, and bought to others on a silver platter. “Oh come now princess.” I said with a smile, walking behind her and taking hold of the back of her neck tightly with a single gauntleted hand. Leaning my lips to her ear I whispered harshly into it. “Don’t forget, your mine to do with as I please until that child is born. I can increase of decrease your sentence on a whim. It can always get worse.” A subtle reminder, that as much as she had lost, pissing me off again meant there could be more to lose. Even Crix without Force Sensitivity would be able to feel the wave of anger charging the air as the Princess tried to act like royalty.

The big wookiee took the rear guard the door seemed to open by itself a shadow slipping along the edge of the dimly lit corridor until the door there opened and for a split second a short stocky canine-esque figure filled the doorway before disappearing again. The Deputy-Governor and a few other Isis bureaucrats were waiting in a lobby. It was obvious they were not expecting to see me and my accompaniment leaving with the Princess by the looks on their faces.

Releasing her neck, I put an arm around her, as though she was fatigued and confused. “Remember what I said, play along.” I whispered quietly to her, not noticeably angry this time. “Ah, Deputy-Governor, allow me to explain. The Princess here has been the victim of Sith Magic, similar to Qazoi Kyantuska, or Mind Control. It appears she was simply a tool by a Sith in an effort to take over your world. She probably hasn’t been in control of her body for the better part of a year from what I can gather. She needs rest, recuperation, and monitoring for the next few months, but I can say without a doubt she committed no crimes against your government under her own power or mental faculties.” How was he supposed to check my story, he had only my testimony to go on and nothing more. And then to doubt me could be considered an insult. He could still have his trial and use me as an expert witness if he wanted, but it would hardly be necessary. “She did however confess to practicing slavery within Techno Union space, and has accepted a plea deal for those crimes.

Oh, and the guard was an assassin that tried to kill her, I don’t know if he was mind controlled or not.” I didn’t even put effort into that lie, but he wasn’t going to press the matter of one random guard to go against the Techno Union.

Thais's shoulders hunched up as soon as Draco grabbed the back of her neck with his firm grip. Her first instinct was to lash out in a whirlwind of fury and outrage. Crix Meriet found out the hard way what it was like to curl his fingers around the Princess's throat. But something told her that her avenues of retribution were now dead ends. With her own Force sensitivity, the Princess could actually feel the anger as it emanated from the Foreman. Don't be foolish, girl. Keep your temper down now and you will survive this.

Oh but it was so hard! Thais was used to getting everything she wanted, and when that wasn't enough, she would demand more.

She narrowed her eyes at Draco, but said nothing. When he released her neck and hugged her, she stiffened up like a someone's doll left out on the snowy tundra of Hoth. But she listened to the Mandalorian's ruse for why the Princess attempted the coup of Isis. Finally with telepathy she had not shown Draco before, she said into his mind: A very impressive lie. Why, I would have believed it myself as Xander was a powerful Sith Lord. There was no snark in her tone. She was sincere. The lie would work as King Blackmoore had a reputation across the galaxy for being a fearsome assassin. The story of him pulling the strings as though the Princess was his pretty little marionette would not just convince the officials, it would likely titillate the galaxy. Perhaps the Princess could come out of this with her reputation intact. That is, until she had a slave collar clamped around her neck.

After Draco assured she would get rid of her slaves, Thais finally said, "Droids. Kallisto Mining Company will use droids instead... isn't that right, Mr. Meriet?" Somehow she needed to make sure he did not run her business into the ground, or sell it to the Hutts, or turn the palace into an amusement park. It was so hard not being in control. But you will do this for Abigail, thought the Princess.

The Deputy-Governor appeared skeptical for a moment, but it wasn't too far fetched to think that the Sith were planning to infiltrate Isis. He nodded his head and finally spoke: "The Sith are a plague upon our galaxy. They have taken over the Core Worlds. What is to stop them from coming into the Outer Rim? It's a matter of time, sadly." He reached out and shook the Foreman's hand. "Of course, my office would still like to do an investigation, but if it all checks out, then I thank you for saving Thais and the Isis economy. Along with producing most of Isis's exports, Kallisto Mining Company also provides the most tax revenue for the planet. It would be ashamed to see both the Princess and Isis suffer from this unfortunate incident."

I smiled at the Deputy, hearing Thais voice on the edges of my mind, just outside the indomitable defenses of an expert Mentalist. I could do any number of things to torment her right now, but I didn’t feel like it. I wanted to have her see her future closing in on her like a vice, inexorably advancing on her with nothing she could do about it. That was worse than anything I could do to her physically.

Indeed.” I said, to the Deputy-Governor. “I need to monitor her personally, so I will be returning her to Isis myself and oversee her recovery. And of course you can proceed with an investigation.” What would he investigate? A Force ability that I had claimed to have washed away. There weren’t traces doctors could follow or check on, only my word versus Xander’s. And why would anyone take his word, assuming he came and offered it over mine.

I’ll be taking her on my ship. The first hours of her treatment are crucial.” Treatment was a strong word, more like making her comfortable on my ship and seeing to other matters to let her stew for a while. I didn’t need to do anything other than assign her a few guards and make sure she didn’t try to run off and try to escape. The main reason I had invited myself over was because I wanted to continue her mental torment. But alas there wasn’t much else to do to her. Perhaps I could go the route of false friend, but I doubted she would fall for that without being fully abandoned by Xander. And then there just wasn’t any reason to continue. That would be enough

Approaching the shuttle that waited for us, the canine-esque shadow appeared again on the ramp of the vessel, a pale red glow coming from its eyes. Above the prison sat a lone Wyyrlok-class Destroyer with the Mythosaur painted on the prow, waiting to ferry the princess back to her home world.

Crix watched with amusement as Draco put Thais in her place. It was nice to finally see her humbled. The last time he had really tried he had been beaten up his chest left bruised and his wrist and Ankle sprained. He was still suffering even then a month later stiff sore joints. It had been a lesson 'Don't forget your place' and he hadn't he had remembered his place and for all he'd planned from Galactic alliance raids to One sith invasions all it had taken to topple Thais had been rumours and lies in the deputy governor's ear. He was in his proper place now he just hoped Thais would learn lessons of her own in her seven years of slavery namely 'She wasn't as smart as she thought she was' and he was. He was smarter than her and he'd beaten her.

They had been stopped by the deputy-governor on their way out Crix had averted his gaze lest the lesser bureaucrats blabbed and Thais somehow escaped her predicament. Loose lips sink ships afterall. So he stayed hid in plain sight just behind draco listening to his lie. He would need to provide fluff for it if asked, alas that meant healing Thais reputation but it was the price he'd pay for freedom and safety for him and his Toby.

He had been dragged into focus by Thais however asking him to confirm the workforce would no longer be slaves "Of course My lady ... " Hardly fitting for her to be styled as a princess now she was a prisoner good and proper " I have issued orders to all mines to free the slaves" he lied, the mines would continue to use slaves hidden under other guises "The mines will be staffed by droids, penal labours and those involved in Isis work programs" The wok programs that served as a front for the slavery crix still very much endorsed.

The two parties had continued to talk for a few moments coming to an agreement before Draco whisked Thais away. Crix watched he leave the followed after the Isis bureaucrats.

"Deputy Governor " He called striding to catch up to the party as they retreated back to their own transports. The governor turned evidently not expecting Crix "Mr. Meriet " The governor replied halting the group and turning "Recent events have left us with much to discuss" He smiled "I have been appointed custodian of Thais's crown and estate in her absence whilst she recuperates and completes her sentence for slavery within the union, I think it's time that the position of the monarchy on Isis changed. Afterall whilst Thais may have been mind controlled by the sith the damage they would have caused would have been far less serious if she was little more than a symbol" He put his hand out "Perhaps you will join me for lunch so we can discuss how things will move forward? " He didn't want to end up on the executioner's block after all, thais lacked the forces to hold the crown without government support.

First hours of treatment?!? What did that mean? Thais began to worry that the treatment involved a torture droid or two. Or perhaps a good, old fashioned whipping. Princess Kallisto had been around slave labor her entire life. While the Kallisto Mining Company had always tried to treat its workforce with the utmost respect, she did have employees who would, at times, use physical violence to keep the slaves in line.

Her heart beating a little faster now, she glanced back dolefully at Crix Meriet as she ascended the ramp stepping over what appeared to be an eerie shadow, a harbinger of things to come.

Once aboard the intimidating Destroyer, Thais turned to Draco. He could see at this point, she was beyond terrified. Even in her jail cell, separated from the outside world, Princess Kallisto still clung to her noble entitlement like a life raft. Among these new surroundings with no familiar courtiers, advisers, or even the King to keep her from harm, she felt very lost and alone.

"Draco, can I have a commlink to Crix Meriet? So I can speak with him at all times? At least until we leave the atmosphere of Ascension?" she asked, her voice trembling.

The door opened to the room in which Thais would be spending her trip back to her home. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of Mandalorian warriors aboard and the shadow followed her and I all the way to the door, almost invisible only a few paces away. She could feel the small dark presence of the shadow following, watching her every move. “No. You are a prisoner Thais. That means life isn’t as good as it was before.” I said calmly. The room was nice, satin sheets and blankets, a relaxabed, a mediation pool and luxury sized refresher, but it was also a windowless prison from which she had no escape.

Ner’val here will be your guardian. You don’t leave without my shadow. Period.” The shadow seemed to tear its way from the wall. The stocky, dark colored canine-esque creature nodding, red eyes cast over the princess. “You will be safe, comfortable, and well treated until your child is born. Then Crix will do what he wants with you. Until then, don’t test my patience, or that of Ner’val.

I decided to go ahead and be kind for a change. It might soothe her just a bit and I was calm now, she was afraid, too afraid. “I spent four years in the mines of Kessel once. It goes by fast, and you probably won’t be as poor off as that.” I said, trying to be a bit reassuring to her predicament.

The governor took the offered hand giving it a firm shake "Of course Mr. Meriet " He replied. Crix had built up quite a strong relationship with the governor. Afterall the enemy of an enemy was a friend. Crix smiled "Very good" He gestured for the governor to go ahead whilst he checked his comm-link surprised to find no frantic messages from Thais. That must mean she had been refused a comm-link, that was an amusing thought. He wouldn't complain however it meant he could get some peace and quiet from her incessant demands.

Crix traveled with the bureaucrats to a local restaurant. the spent the journey making small talk. They could get down to business later . As he sat down it sunk in he was practically king now. That was a fun thought perhaps he aught to demand they grant him a proper styling. He would broach that issue later, once he knew that Isis was going to retain some form of monarchy. He smiled at the assembled group "As you know Thais has been detained by the Techno Union the foreman has informed me she is to be detained for 7 years " no need to tell them she would be a slave for those 7 years "That allows us to make extensive constitutional changes and turn Isis into a more democratic society, I propose that the role of monarch be a symbolic one with real power resting with the elected government"

He did not after all fancy having to fight the government, he liked living. If the government consented to his proposal he would be able to retain the trappings of royalty without all the pesky responsibilities.

All of her misdeeds bubbled up to her consciousness like bile at her throat. She eyed the Mandalorian soldiers who had not a shred of sympathy for her. Thais knew that she was not well-liked on Isis, but to be hated by indifividuals in such close quarters? She was uncomfortable to say the least.

But the room, while not what she was accustomed to, was not terrible. Until she realized that Ner'val, some type of shadowy magical creature, was to be her guardian.

"Does it bite?" asked Thais, peering at the canine. Its red eyes were truly intimidating.

"And I'm sorry you spent so much time in a mine. As the owner of one, I am well aware of the conditions in most quarries. You have my sympathy," she said.

Her goal right now was to be the most compliant prisoner she could until the birth. And then after that, it was game on to see how much she could outsmart Crix Meriet about this slavery business.

I smiled, her sympathy was noted, and probably insincere. Were our positions reversed she would be far more cruel to me, but that did not change my outlook. I had won already, there was little need to continue to bash her down and batter her. She was about to lose everything and have her child taken from her. Furthermore she had lost her love, and that made me feel some sympathy for her. I too had been abandoned by the one I loved.

He does, but only if you stick your fingers in his mouth. He will be watchful and with you at all times, but he will be unheard and unseen.” There wasn’t much else to do. I could try and offer her some sympathy, but as the man arresting her and sentencing her to slavery, it would come off as some sort of ploy, and honor demanded she be punished. Slavers were one of the few people I loathed, and seven years was already a very light sentence unless she was forced to serve beside her own former slaves.

Your daughter will be safe with me. I have nearly infinite resources to protect and provide for her with, and dozens of allies I can rely on.” Perhaps that was sympathy and reassurance enough for the weight that sat on my heart. To be left, high and dry, I had almost died. I still searched for death, looking for it in every battle, hoping it would find me to put me out of my misery. I am sure once she realized that was her fate as well she would falter. And then my victory over her would be complete, and I would gain little from it. "Rest for now." I said, nodding to the Defel and leaving down the corridor. She would find that so long as she remained in the same room as the Defel, she wasn't as restricted as she might have been lead to believe. Warriors would stop her if she wandered too far from her room, but she had access to the cafeteria, common room, and her suite.

The rest of Lunch passed without event. The governor arranged for Crix to meet with the government to be confirmed as regent and put forward his plans. Then matters had devolved to small talk. Crix had smiled along taking very little interest, small talk bored him and so in truth did the government . Nonetheless he remained outwardly affable laughing when driven to, He was finished with them now he wanted to leave. Once he'd finished his main course his patience ran out and he gave his excuses.

"It has been a pleasure gentlemen but I must be going I need to ensure some good friends of mine escaped the fiasco this morning " Well one particular guy. His darling Toby.

He had sent Toby away after the massacre fearing extensive repercussions but fortune had favoured him today so he did not need to be parted from his love. He rang ahead to the spaceport to cancel his instructions for Toby to be brought away. No doubt his sweet man was more than distressed. His darlin' was Hoplophobic terribly scared of guns and the like and no doubt being separated from crix during the massacre was traumatic for poor Toby. Crix was going to make it all better now though, they could finally just relax with one another This was no threat to them.

With Thais secured aboard the ship she was in purgatory. She could wander around, but she was trapped, no escape for her. That was her fate for the next few weeks until I took everything away from her and sentenced her to slavery under her former employee Crix Meriet. He struck me as less than reputable, and would need watching, but that was what Ner'val excelled at. Then again, I had made him a very rich man with lots of influence over his homeworld now. I doubt he will be difficult.

On to more important things. There was a young man seeking guidance in the Force, and now was the time to take an apprentice under my wing with Tmoxin too busy and not focused, and being a distraction to me as well. "Tell the new recruit to meet me on the ship, and I will meet him in the hangar. I want to get a feel for him right away." I said to no one in particular, nonetheless a warrior at a comm station perked up and clicked buttons on his station directing an incoming shuttle as I walked from the bridge towards the main hangar of the destroyer.

It wasn't every day a new warrior would meet with and receive guidance from the Foreman of the Union. Certainly a special case to have landed on my desk so suddenly.

Toby was alive! Thank the Maker, he didn't get blown into pieces by Mandalorian grenades or shot in the face with a blaster. Oh, how he hated guns and violence. One minute he was fetching Crix some champagne and the next? All hell broke loose, and guests were being massacred by armored men and women before his eyes. Just as the arrangements had been made to get the slave to the spaceport, so that he could evacuate the unstable world, he was given word that he could return to Crix. The coup was over, the bloodshed had ceased, and Crix now had all the power he wanted now that Thais was deposed.

Once he and Crix found each other, he buried his head on his lover's chest, practically clinging to him as they embraced. All he wanted was to go home and lay in his master's arms until the memories faded.

He couldn't stop himself from shaking.

Acaleus landed, stretching both arms "What a nice planet" he said walking out with his hood off. The planet was nice, not everyday he travel to a green/blue planet like this. He saw Draco from afar and salute him waving his hand "This is going to be interesting...or bad for my health" he sighed closing his eyes.
"Hi Draco, dont go to rough with me" smiled without knowing what kind of death-experience type of training he was going to have. It didnt matter, if he wanted to find his brother, he needed to get stronger.

The crowds in the spaceport were rendered into little more than background noise as Crix caught sight of his very distressed, impossibly captivating lover huddled in the corner of the waiting room. Crix's heart bled for a moment his poor Toby. Then the pity was restored to the ever present loathing for his father for it was him who had broken Toby. Crix had rushed over to Toby, shoving aside at least one cripple, getting to Toby fast his only real priority.

He had immediately pulled Toby into a tight embrace kissing the tips of his ears as Toby pushed his head into Crix's chest. Toby was shaking in his arms, nigh on inconsolable the poor dear. Crix began to slowly rub circles into Toby's back as he whispered in his ear "Did they tell you T?" He began, swiftly carrying on "Thais has entrusted everything to me, so I'm gonna take you to the Crystal rose now ... remember Thais's yacht?" Her pride and Joy and soon to be his Toby's temporary sanctuary. "When we get there we'll get you out of theses clothes and into some nice PJ's then we can snuggle on the couch and watch anything you like while I give you Ice cream"

Then with a grunt Crix supported Toby back onto his own two feet and led him to their new ship, still rubbing soft Circles into his tense T. He could only hope the whore and her closet king hadn't left a 'mess' behind . Once they were back at the yacht Crix deposited Toby into a chair in the guest bedroom, his former quarters on the ship . easing his slaves shoes off and unbuttoning the top few buttons of Toby's shirt, lifting his bare feet onto a stool and giving him a firm 'You're under my protection now' kiss on his soft swollen lips "You just relax T, I'm going to get you some extra warm Pajamas and then when I come back I'll soothe you, You've had a hard day my baby boy". Which is exactly what he did.

I raised an eyebrow at the young man. Surely he wasn't this informal from the start. I was one of the very few people in the Union that didn't mind ignoring the pomp and circumstance of their station, which was indeed a lucky break for the man. Had it been Darth Adekos or even Marek Starchaser the situation might have been different. "Today I only wish to get to know you if I will be training you extensively. I need to know where to start. Currently I am the Obsidian Order's foremost master of Tutaminis, though that isn't saying much."

The Obsidian Order had never had many members even at its height. Most of the Force User's in the Union much preferred to remain anonymous or have the extent of their abilities remain unknown. I wasn't much different, as most of the population was unaware I focused on Mind Trick and its variations. In fact I was working on something neat from rumors heard long long ago. "Come with me, you will have much to do in a short time, but our business on this world is done." Ascension would receive its fleet and I had established that relationship. But I still had my prisoners to see to for the next several weeks and this man needn't know of that.

"How are we going to begin?" he asked a little nervous "I know almost nothing about The Force. Just to control it for endurance in my body, but im a freshman, and willing to get stronger at any cost" Acaleus followed him as he didnt know where he would take him. He looked around the hangar, finding nothing interesting.

He started to think about those years as a slave. He didnt care about the religion of the Force, but he knew that feelings could take you to the light or the dark side. Acaleus build his two daggers as a reminder, that he controlled his fate. Those thougths didnt affect him.

Circumstances being what they were, Clan Rekali arranged its Clan Father's transportation. The Consigliere came himself, notifying essentially nobody. Pelko venom in his blood, he walked in a nimbus of ghosts and futures and distant scenes. He had some difficulty recognizing Ember, a man he'd served for years, but he found Ember easily enough. Even without directions. They'd shared blood, and that carried certain functional implications in the tradition that Ember espoused. A mark of trust for Oren, and a mark of loyalty on both their parts. A signifier of family. And for the Rekalis, blood could always find blood, no matter how impaired.

Didn't mean Oren flew the ship, though. Drunk on venom prophecy, he slept off his visions in the hold, passing out long before the Clan transport jumped to hyperspace.

"Something simple. I have errands to run on Isis, but following that we should convene on Vendaxa. Its one of my favorite planets to train, to reflect on myself. The planet is effectively a nightmare with hundreds of predators." I responded.

Showing the ropes of the Force on Vendaxa and then letting the man survive out there for a time was the simplest form of training. If he lived, he would eventually be great. If he didn't... then training and my obligations to put time and effort into training him was over.

"It should be fun for one of us."
