Into the Jaws of Death [OP Invasion of Sith-Occupied Coruscant]

Location: Valley of Lords
Objective: Beat the crap out of a Sith
Allies: OP and Co.
Enemies: OS,[member="Darth Tsolan"]

The moment when the Sith was in close range the clone captain drew out his pistol and fire straight at him. But the bolt didn't hit him and just went through the air until it hit something. He obviously saw the Sith jumping over him. He calculated where his head would be at after the Sith would land. He vertically swung his vibroblade while turning around as well. The lightsaber didn't penetrate through his phrik armor but it did left him a minor bruise on him. The same time he attacked with his vibroblade he aimed his sidearm at the center area of his for and fired three bolts.

Tsolan growled as he felt his blade deflected on the armor, but kept his body moving. He'd learned something and he was far from done with this man. As the Vibro-blade swung at him, he lifted an arm, catching the weapon on his own phrik vambrace then extended his arm to snatch the wrist. Turning around, he became faced with the pistol which fired a shot right into his chest. A growl ripped through his throat, but Canal wasn't the only one covered with phrik and while the shot hurt, it was far from enough to stop him. No, instead, Vulpesen reached out with his other arm to snatch the wrist while driving his knee towards the troopers crotch. Clean fight? No, he didn't fight for honor. He fought to win.

The his right hand that contained his blade was caught by the sith's hand. But what he didn't know was that there was hidden durasteel vibroblade in his right gauntlet which he then activated and would stab at hand of his opponent. The other hand was caught as well but he didn't worry for that. If he wanted he could pull out his hands out of the man's clutches. Then the Sith did a dishonorable thing: a lowshot. Well, Canal could play dirty too. The his crouch was at least protected by materials but it still left a mark. He gritted his teeth and then pulled himself in and gave Tsolan a headbutt. A headbutt hurted more than getting kneed to the crouch and the Sith was wearing a mask which would break it, leave him dizzy, and would create a gap which blood would come out if the hit succeeded. At the same time when he pulled himself in he tried to pull out his hands from the sith's hands and even dropped his weapons to make it easier for him.

He might have been defenseless but that didn't mean he was losing. Ten years of training counted for something.

After she got shot, and coughing up blood. She felt the pain as armour mesh, melted on to her skin from the heat of the blast. She tried to scream in pain, but she was drowning in her blood. It just gurgled as she tried, to scream. She was dying, she could not feel the force. She could not breath, due the blood coming into her lungs. As her eye`s started to shut, she could hear a man talking to her. The sharp spike puncture her, she began to breath again. She then could feel her self being moved on to some thing, and some telling she will be okay, she just hang in their.

After a while she was moved, into a field hospital not far from the battle. The sith amulet started to work on healing her, the was a problem though, her skin was healing into the melted armour mesh. The surgeon had cut her out of it, and the rest of armour. So she could heal herself, using the amulet. He also did his best, to make sure scars did not form her. Though know her battle armour, was in need of major repair.

There was a phenomenally loud bang, then a ‘plink’, ‘plonk’, and a wet thud. Curtis turned to his right, just as the warning beep sounded in his HUD. Private Gould’s chest plate was wide open, blood streaming out. “Stich” the squad medic was on top of him in a flash, but Curtis already knew what he would do. A dangerous level of analgesics were administered and a spray foam sealed the cracked armour. Neither would save him, but they would make his death more comfortable, and keep the deck of the dropship from becoming dangerously slippery.

“Under fire!”

“Shooter in that civilian freighter!”

Was that someone shooting at them with a heavy rifle? From one shuttle to a moving dropship? The shot must have been near impossible. There was a reason soldiers primarily used missile launchers to target aircraft.

“Taking evasive action!” shouted the pilot, making a near-impossible shot impossible. They were moving at several hundred kilometres per hour now and jinking hard. Dicer watched as the icon for Private Gould went black on his HUD. His comm system was cut off from the squad. It was no good leaving military comm codes to be stolen by the enemy. Feth, thought Dicer. The twelve-man squad was now ten. Gould have been a good friend, but deaths were becoming so frequent and sudden now. As they became less and less shocking, was he changing as a person? Dicer wondered, clinging to his straps for dear life. If he changed, was it for the better? Most people barely had to deal with death, was he just becoming numb? Was he becoming less human?

That evasive manoeuvre saved them a moment later as a formation of fighter rushed across their position. Four-squad’s M47 just erupted in mid-air, taking a torpedo side on. One-squad were caught in a stream of laser fire, their smoking dropship spiralled towards the ground.

Their own shook in the air from a nearby explosion, one wall radiated with heat where the armour plating took a few laser blasts. There was a roar as the fighters passed high overhead and streaked into the distance.

“Keep on that dropship!” Sergeant Jonas shouted.

“Weapons systems not responding. Hull is pierced. We cannot break atmo!” shouted the pilot.

“Forcedamnit!” screamed Jonas, slamming his fist into the bulkhead. “Keep on them!” Jinks and Haden were still at the left door, heavy weapons ready to fire.

On the ground 2nd squad had already landed and set up position. Well shielded from enemy fire, it would take a platoon time to dislodge them. An OPML was shouldered and locked on to the fleeing dropship.

“Fire!”

OOC/ Last roll of the dice to stop their escape! :)

Alexandra did indeed see her coming soon after the woman had the thought. Her mouth curving into a smile as her presence in the force became a beacon of lightside and her body fell down towards the ground. Her landing would only be a meter infront of the woman, having fallen a few dozen yards as she had used the force to cushion her land. "Heavens i hate jumps like that." The voice came from her, calm, collected, and joyful as she looked at the other woman. "Yo, im Alexandra, and you are?"

Objective: Snark & Rescue

The Sith Knight wasn’t too impressed with Tyger Tyger for the duration of the time, it had been pretty obvious that the man had been wounded. What also had been fairly obvious was the fact that if the mercenary had done a better job all that blood wouldn’t have been his, which was why Akron had asked the question to begin with. To allow the Mercenary to save face, but the man declined and instead decided to snark the pain away.

Which was just as well, and in reply the Epicanthix merely took the bowcaster and with glaring ease primed the weapon for usage again. Something it was handy to have Rybcoarse wrapped around your muscle tissue, it almost made the painful operation worth it, almost.

Offering the weapon back, Akron considered giving the Merc one of his bacta patches. It would heal the wound quite nicely and give the man another shot at the battlefield, hopefully this time he wouldn’t get himself shot. Had the Knigh been a regular Sith, he probably wouldn’t have even considered it, pain breeds experience which breeds success his mother had liked to say.

But she was long buried in the ground, this man could prove an ally or a terrible headache. Almost sure he would regret this decision in the time to come, Akron revealed one of his patches and threw it towards the guy.

‘Patch yourself up, the Protectorate is being pushed back as we speak, but they won’t give up that easily.’

As Akron finished speaking he suddenly felt a surge coming over him, he grunted as spikes seemingly were bedding themselves into his flesh. No iron or steel was there to be pulled out though, immediately he understood this was something different. Barely holding himself together, the Warrior blinked and forced a mental block to stem the tide of the pain.

He sighed and spoke again. ‘The Force is back again, this just turned that much easier.’

Objective: Kick, Sith, Ass.

Yusan had left the soldiers to do as they wished, now that they had had a staging ground, he was more interested in a different prey. He looked to the level below him and smiled as he jumped down from spot to spot and to get down to the place he was looking for. That thing, was a landspeeder that he smiled and cut into the door of to open up, his hands going to the control panel and falling back on a old habit of his, starting up the landspeeder as he smiled. His eyes now looked over the grid that would show her where she needed to go.

He shot through sky as the sounds of battle rang out and his target came up on the left, twenty minutes past the current time. He smiled and turned the craft in that direction, aiming right for a hole and opening up the door as he was about to fly past, aiming his body and shooting out of the craft towards the hole he saw that linked to the Third floor.

Yusan knocked on the side of the wall as he came through the same hole knight made, staring at those infront of him as his helmet was off his head for the moment. "Starting the party without me i see... none of you are Vornskr though..." He looked over all of them once more as he began to drink in the pain and suffering around him, his own presence growing as it seemed to be every bit as dark as the Sith's own force auras. "Its a shame, i was really hoping to skin Vornskr... guess ill have to settle for you three." His hand put the helmet back on as he let the force, in all its darkness as it surrounded him, corrupted and twisted, come into his hand. He began to laugh as a bolt of lightning shot from his hand and to the ground but instead of using force lightning his second saber went to his hand and he let out a scream as he shot forward, sending the blades down on Aeon in an X pattern.

"Incoming fire!" Roared the pilot, even as Protectorate fighters closed in on the heels of the Sith to distract them. Two high priorities targets meant a lot of resources for both sides. Sarge wasted no time, though, as he set up a wall of the Force outside the dropship and felt a proton torpedo impact.

The destruction of another dropship kept the other proton torpedos from finding his vessel, but the impact of just the one sent him flying back and into the side of the dropship - painfully. That elicited a concerned look or two from the soldiers onboard.

His comm crackled and he blinked away what he hoped wasn't a concussion as it registered what [member="Dicer"] was asking. "Enemy dropship damaged. Stay on it. I'll be right behind you."

He was, and he was right behind the enemy dropship too as the homing missile came in. Chaff had already been deployed once if the concussion missile was down, which meant another bundling wasn't prepared yet. Hopefully that would take it out of the sky now.

Protectorate and Sith fighters swarmed the nearby airspace, both trying to keep the other from reaching the targets. Pushing himself up, he made his way slowly towards the cockpit to get a visual on the enemy dropship.

Summoning the Force within himself now that it was back, he reached out and with no small hint of anger shoved the dropship to one side, pushing on towards its weak side to force the damaged engine to pick up the slack. He immediately slumped, hoping that would be enough to knock it to ground from impact with something.

Vulpesen growled as he felt two small slices appear in his hand. Having grabbed the wrist where the blade was sheathed, it was the most such a weapon could do at the moment. As for the headbutt, the clone seemed to have a bit of a lapse in judgement on that part. If e was wearing phrik on his chest, arms, and legs, what in the flying mynock sucking hell would make him neglect his face, especially since he wanted an open casket funeral(not any time soon mind you). As such, the most effect he would do with that would be a resounding clank of metal on metal which only minorly disoriented Vulpesen only enough for him to lose his grip. Shaking the clarity back int his head with a short movement, the darth returned his gaze to [member="Canal Tal'Verda"] and moved into a neutral hand to hand fighting stance, having dropped his saber in their clash."Shall we dance?"

Knight was on the ground but she still had her senses as the siths lightning came, a saber blade rising to block it as she heard the man she had met from the Republic formerly come in. Her hand releasing the saber and shifting as she rolled over into a thick hided baby rancor. The fangs and claws gleaming as she turned around and stood a hand full of feet taller then the rest. The sabers shifting itno the skin as the blade deactivated and she could hold them as needed. A roar coming while Yusan directed his own shot of lightning towards them, she charged shifting again and leaping while burn marks appeared from the blaster shots on her hide.

Hardening and shifting into a sand worm to drop onto the floor and ship around to try and swipe each of the three as she shifted on the follow through. Her body planted there as the hands reformed and she was moving, pushing with all the force energy to slid on the ground shifting a leg that spun into a krayt taloned leg to slash and rend flesh, her other leg expanding and shifting into a gorax leg to bash. The pink hair shorter and skin paler while she was ofcusing her energy one shifting and strengthening her body to be like the beasts hide. She was trusting Yusan to keep his temper in check for now as her shoulder throbed from pain.

The streets were chaos. Republic loyalists and Sith sympathizers fought, often with the support of Protectorate or Sith soldiers. There was certainly going to be a large loss of life. One last device needed to be placed. Ayden allowed his Force cloak to fall away as he leapt across repulsor platforms. He became distinctly aware that a Sith was attempting to follow him. It wasn't likely that he would manage to actually find the Lord Protector, between the Taozin amulet beneath his armor and his long moments veiled through the Force, he would have had to have been the luckiest being in the galaxy to manage to track Ayden in this chaos. But just in case he did, Ayden pulled out a blaster pistol and fired several shots into the repulsor holding up one platform, causing it to groan and slowly fell into Coruscant's endless depths..

In the distance he could see the Palace District and the dark outline of the Imperial Palace. His eyes narrowed as he reached out to get a sense of what was happening. Looking down at the last device, he pressed an activation stub and let it drop where he stood before he took off towards the Imperial Palace. Meanwhile, in orbit the Starfall seemed sluggish the whole fight. Whole banks of weapons had never fired and she seemed to respond slower than normal. As he ran, Ayden picked up com chatter about Cira being kidnapped. "Fething woman." He cursed and detoured off to help Sarge get her back.

"We got incoming! Dropship...it's about to ram us!"

Kaida did not had to tell HK twice as he already picked up on the dropship's movements to intercept with their trajectory.

The droid would lean in, getting more and more horizontal with Kaida as the jets of his suits groaned and whooshed, the pair were picking up on speed something fierce as the dropship opened fire,
"Hang on!"
The droid tried to reassure his elven friend as he tumbled and rolled in the air, dodging the rapid fire bolts with his high-speed trajectory calculations and sensors, keeping them alive.

However, in the zip of a glide they begun to loose their altitude and as their goal was now closer than ever, they were about halfway there as the dropship spot them, making them in position with maximum altitude they could reach at the time as they traveled in parabolic curve, but it looked like they were about to crash into the side of the building rather than land on the roof, and then there was the issue of the dropship trying to ram them as well.

However, before splattering against the solid wall of the structure, HK tilted back in what were the beginnings of Immelman Turn, as his form begun to move upwards he disengaged the magnetic anchors on the graphite cable that held him and Kaida together, and with another burst of his rocket boots and a good droid kick, he would catapult Kaida in another arc, to sent her onto the rooftop in a bit rough but survivable landing. Kaida would have to tumble to break the velocity, but her armor should cushion the fall and keep her alive.

Meanwhile, with the sudden drop in the mass HK had to carry he was free to increase velocity with greater acceleration.

And so, when the dropship came to ram him, the droid evaded the huge projectile in his turn, flying over it as he whipped the grappling hook cable, anchoring the strong cable to the roof of the dropship in the nick of time they passed each other and adjusting his velocity and direction to decrease damage from the yank the cable would bring. And so, the droid would find his armor and body give out groan of straining but withstanding the forces as the dropship pulled on him, his jetpack and rocket systems bringing up his speed as he climbed on the cable and soon enough found himself clutching to its roof with his magnetic talons and claws, climbing the vehicle as he made his way towards its cockpit.

"Weather report just in-"
HK muttered to himself as through dropship's maneuvers and turns he remained clutching to it, secured by his built-in climbing equipment, he reached back with one hand to grab his shattergun handcannon/scattergun, the VG-1, and pressed its 7 barrels down to the transparisteel cockpit, the pilots would look up as they realized what was about to happen.
"-It will be a cold day in Hell!"

HK would pull the trigger then and with a thunder the eight barrels fired their shattergun railgun payload, the eight hyper-velocity pellets cracking through the cockpit's cover and penetrating the dropship, destroying its consoles, killing off the pilots as the recoil from the handcannon pushed on HK, he used it, releasing his talons and claws to let it catapult him off of the dropship, clutching the gun his jet systems fired again, propelling him flying back away from the ship as it spiraled and crushed into one of the nearby statues of Sith Lords, melting it in explosion and the shrapnel peppering nearby columns and ruins.

And with that HK rocketed towards Kaida's position, slowing down to make his landing as he slung his VG-1 on his back, letting it reload next to the MD-1 mass driver, already charged up for another shot from it as he joined his Space-Elf partner in crime for continuation of the battle.

Sven rushed through the air in a dropship. His hands lay resting on the control yolk, and his eyes were focused on the HUD above him. Comm-chatter and a map of Coruscant told him where to go, and even with his rudimentary piloting skills he managed to make it to the two chasing dropships before any of the other air support, they were already close to the Palace District after all and it was only a short jaunt from there to the Imperial Palace itself.

Thus Sven arrived just in time, to intercept Sarge's little force attack.

Before Sarge could get a grip on the ailing dropship, before another salvo of missiles could be fired, Sven piloted the craft he was in directly in front of Sarge's own. He placed himself between the two, holding the control yolk as he kept the ship steady even as the influence of the force began to prey upon it.

Directly ahead of him, like a speeding bullet came the enemy ship.

This was inevitable, the crash was inevitable, there was no way of stopping it. With ships traveling this fast it would be impossible to avoid Svens shiny new ship, especially given that he had directly placed himself in their flight path.

Just to be safe however Sven slammed two buttons.

The first, fired a single salvo of Concussion missiles. Six missiles that flew out from the base of the ship and flew towards Sarge's. The second caused the canopy to crack and fall away, sending Sven flying out of the ship and into the very dangerous skies.

Location: En route to the Imperial Palace.
Objective: Reinforce his brothers and sisters.
Allies: The One Sith.
Enemies: The Protectorate and the Mandalorians who aid them.
Music: The Devil in I - Slipknot

The Siege of Alderaan had gone over favorably with the Sith, and the Republic was quickly routed from the planet by the Sith's devastating assault. However; there was never any rest for the wicked, and the Sith quickly had to re-route a portion of their troops that had participated in the battle to Coruscant, where the Protectorate had launched a lightning-fast raid on the Sith-occupied world. Many of his brothers and sisters had been sent ahead to aid the besieged Coruscanti forces, while he and choice others remained behind for awhile to mop up any lingering Republic hold-outs and establish bases of operations to aid in the pacification of Alderaan. Sadly, they could not stay longer and ensure that the pacification went smoothly, with the assault on Coruscant and all, but Darth Vornskr, Voice of the Dark Lord, pledged that once the Protectorate dogs were routed from their capital, he would return and burn out any Republic sympathizers on the newly conquered world.

Sometime after the initial battles began on Coruscant the Vanguard-Class Heavy Cruiser, "Singularity", would materialize out of hyperspace along with a multitude of similar ships very close to the system, and would begin to engage whatever Protectorate forces decided to break themselves upon it. While the larger vessels moved to engage the enemy ships, the "Singularity" drifted closer to the planet before releasing a swarm of drop ships carrying troops and vehicles fresh from the Battle of Alderaan down towards the planet's surface. Some of course would be picked off by Protectorate fighters or quickly assembled anti-air emplacements, but many more would manage to evade them and begin to disembark their payloads directly into the streets near the areas most affected by the fighting. However; the dropship specifically carrying the Sith Lord, Darth Vornskr, suffered damage from stray flak and was forced to crash land down into the city streets.

Luckily, most of the soldiers within survived the crash including the Sith Lord himself, who had plenty of experience with crash landings not unlike this one. For the moment the Blackblades set up a temporary perimeter around the crash site while Vornskr linked up with his other commanders that had survived the insertion onto the battlefield.

"Engaging the Protectorate in the Valley of the Dark Lords, milord."

"We've landed at the Imperial Palace, my liege, and we're moving to push them back and reinforce the palace perimeters."

"Slaughter any Protectorates and Mandalorians you come across, my commanders. I will make my way to the Palace in time, but we've been grounded and I will have to make my way on foot."

Vornskr had his soldiers gather whatever gear they could carry along with them that wouldn't necessarily burden or hamper their journey, and quickly began to navigate through the dense city-scape that was Coruscant. Along the way they came across pockets of enemies, and quickly eliminated them with the ruthless efficiency and precision the Blackblades were infamous for. They were delayed slightly due to the Blackblade's horrible habit of taking trophies from the bodies of the slain, most of them comprised of trinkets that the corpses had on them at the time, but others were bodily parts such as fingers or ears. While it was not a tradition encouraged among the greater Sith Military, the Blackblades operated in their own quirky, and downright malicious, ways, but they got the job done better than most soldiers, and in the end is that all you could really ask for? Well, perhaps it was a tad macabre to the other Imperial soldiers, but those who fight alongside the Blackblades quickly get used to it, or actually join them.

Everything was going fine and dandy until Vornskr came across something rather peculiar en route to the palace. It was a package of explosives that had been placed down and left in a hurry, but by whom the Sith Lord couldn't say. However; he knew one thing about this package of explosive devices, and that was it didn't belong here!

"What reckless cur would leave perfectly good explosives lying around like this? That's just wasteful."

Using the art of Mechu-deru, Vornskr didn't have much difficulty in diffusing this package of explosives, although he wasn't sure what to do with the round alarm clock sitting on top of the explosives. But he quickly got over his momentary confusion, and continued on his merry way.

Turns out the mask wasn't weak as he thought it was. It was probably covered in durasteel or some other metal. As Tsolan, Canal saw blury things in just a short moment until he regained focuses and his normal eye sight. When he could normally see he saw that the Sith was defenseless as he was and not men knew that this contest would be determined through hand to hand combat. "Let's see how well you can fight without your glow stick," was the only response he gave to his foe. He raised up his jukes as if he was boxing and walked slowly to the Darth.

He allowed the Sith to take the first move of their brawl.

Perfect.

Without a moment's hesitation Malphas took a single step off of the stationary shuttle and he was descending through the sky towards Orin's and the Sith Knight's location. High Command's Intelligence told him they were in the general area, hopefully he landed in the perfect position, but if not he would continue onwards until he found them.

Acarus could only imagine what it would've been like if he had descended through the sky without the Force.

He activated the jetpack to slow his descent, he summoned the Force to aid with that, the both of them coupled with the armour that guided him downwards; Vonduun Skerr Draxus. And he was on his way. However the jetpack had a short fuse, so that it'd slow his descent enough so that the Vonduun Armour would be able to guide him the rest of the way that he was going.

Soon he would land, and with his presence being concealed while he quickly descended through the sky, well hopefully it'd be a surprise for the enemy.

With the transport door to the dropship barely open, Tsavong's heart was racing as their defiant escape continued in the face of the Protectorate, a wish to capture the enemy female soldier who had been infected by the Dark Tyrant Tsavong. He watched with dilated pupils as the male soldier from earlier pursued them, a man who would not be stopped. A dropship bearing the sigil of the Protectorate was in pursuit, with the soldier upon it. Tsavong felt the canopy begin to crumble under the weight of the Force.

The Force. Tsavong knew these effects all too well. They were the extension of the person controlling it, nearly as biological in natural as the body that possessed the mind controlling it. Though Tsavong had found himself unable to replicate it's effects in the past, as a creature that was seemingly immune to it, he drew great interest in it's powers. A scientific interest, a willingness to study something that had up until this point in the Galaxy been incredibly mysterious.

But now wasn't the time for academics. This man was threatening to drive their ship into the ground.

Until he wasn't. Distracted again by the comrades of the One Sith, Tsavong's dropship would soon begin pulling away from his pursuers as the Yuuzhan Vong hung his head out the door one last time, grinning at the man with the visor who would be too preoccupied to notice... but he hoped he wasn't. A forked tongue darted out of his mouth before the creature unleashed a bellowing laugh.

"Ha...Ha....HA....HA HA HA...."

The woman was his, his pet, his project, his experiment.

But first, he would have to help her survive the transition.

"TAKE US TO THE DARK LORD," the creature bellowed, refusing to use the audio headsets that would make his voice clearer. The damaged ship would make it far enough, though they'd soon have to stop at a military base to switch transports.

It was time to end this foolishness.

There was another enemy entering the fray, someone that he hadn't counted on, but it seemed that they were there to stay. At least until they were killed.

Snorting at their build up of power, he brought a single lightsaber up into [member="Yusan Fenn"]'s X lightsabers, and it of course pushed him back and pushed him down to the ground, but he had bent his knees and was ready to be pushed down, so he had more or less led his enemy down onto him, and once he had determined that he had gone low enough and his core was ready to sprout, there was a smirk on his face underneath his hood, and he sprung upwards like a slinky toy.

The Force had been built up in his legs, pushing him to greater speeds and strength when he had pushed on the Knight, intending to throw him backwards, but not without a surprise, and a glop grenade that had been concealed on one of the bandoleers underneath his robes and out of sight, had been activated to blow on contact, and he threw it just at the feet of Fenn, and flipped backwards just as [member="Knight"]'s worm thing swung at his legs, sending him leaping over it. Although he hadn't even realized the attack had been coming since he needed to avoid that explosion.

Hopefully a sticky surprise that put the man out of the fight safely.
