Helios is not a demolitions expert. The men with him are not engineers. The explosives they carried are enough to blow apart MG nests or doors or maybe a tank, but all together, they're not going to bring down a palace that big, even with 1/3 damaged/destroyed. If they were combat engineers and Helios was a demolitions expert, or even an Architect, I could see your reasoning. As it stands, the palace is damaged, broken, and beat the hell up, but it's still standing. That's without going into discussing structural integrity mathematics of the dome alone, much less going super in depth with foundation plannings, bedrock composition, construction materials, etc. It's just basic, generalized mathematics. If you'd like, my Godfather was a demolitions expert with the USN SpecWar, my dad did explosives work with the USN Riverrines, and a couple friends of mine I do D&D with are structural architects and engineers. I can ask their opinions on the situation and get back to you? I'd ask now, but everyone's asleep out here.
