Is this supposed to spark?

He watched her as she set about her work, helping her as best he could, though he was far more careful not to grab and yank the wrong wires, lest he break something that needn't be broken, or even worse, break something that'd be a pain in the rear end to fix. "I would like to go on record with I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing."

"Good to know, though i must say this, don't cut any of the red wires please, it is extremely important you always cut the blue wire." She smiled, knowing he might not get the joke but she was going to have fun with Vulpesen for a long time past this point, her eyes running from him to the tools Eve soon brought her, including a breath mask to protect against fumes.

"Its times like this I can't tell if you're being serious or not." Still, he did as she said, focusing only on blue wires and avoiding anything that was red. "I'm sorry love, but if something in my cockpit explodes after this, I'll also be blaming you for it." His tail flicked irritaby behind him. He was not in his element. It was too much like being surrounded by a horde of angry sith. One wrong move and... ZAP!

She smiled and looked down as she cut a red wire, a useless thing that would be replaced anyways and reacted in a far less amusing way for him. "Hmm, i seem to have cut the line that controls the heat of the engines, i give us ten minutes before the ship explodes." She said it calmly and was moving around trying to find a wire to replace the one she cut, waiting for Vulp's reaction.

He stiffened and was about to move out as fast as his furry self would go, until he caught her humor in the force. "Oh, haha, very funny. Lets see you be laughing when I go and sneak a teradin sapling into your room." He resumed with what he was doing, finding the bad wires just a bit more easily than before.

She froze, pale and stiff as she simply sat there for a few seconds before her body started shaking at the thought, the trees she saw engulf and eat that man. Even if they were safe themselves, the trees still shook her to the core and she found a lump in her throat... until her eyes slowly turned to him, her hand moving to grab a low power cable, and she brought it up to his elbow. It wouldn't kill him, but it was going to sting, bad.

A sharp yelp left Vulpesen as if someone had stepped on a dog and he jumped up, slamming his head into the metal above. A string a amaran curses left his mouth. "Ok, ok, I get it. Don't mention the trees." He rubbed the bur on his elbow and started to heal it, still letting out strings of growls and doggish expletives.

She stared for a few more seconds before sighing and moving over to him, her hands pushing his out of the way as she started to heal it, knowing she would be a bit faster. "Sorry just... to me the things are terrifying, i always felt safe with nature and that shook me to the core seeing it, knowing i could have stepped too close by accident and..."

He rolled his eyes and kissed her. "Don't worry, I was told how to look out for them. Besides, if they do catch you, just take your saber and cut right through. Terrifying though they are, its nothing I know you can't beat. Not to mention you have me to watch you back and make sure that nothing pulls you away."

"I still would rather not have to look over my shoulder the rest of my life while on that planet... Dont get me wrong its beautiful Vulpesen, but its a thing that i don't find as easy to shove away as you do... im used to being carefree and sleeping in the limbs of any tree or place i want too... having to watch out for a specific tree is... terrifying if i just forgot one day."

He shrugged. "I guess I just see it as any other itchy or irritating plant. If it has so many leaves, or a certain kind of berry I leave it alone. Granted those don't eat you, but fairly the same in that I just know what types of bouquets not to pick." He stretched out a bit, r as best he could, doing his best in the small space.

She sighed and looked to the side before speaking. "Sorry, its just those things were absolutely terrifying and if i could never be around one again i would live a much sounder life, but i know that i cant and thats the problem. So please Vulps, don't bring any of those things to my home or around me, ok?" She looked at him, actually shocked to her core and it showed in her eyes.

Vulpesen gave the most reassuring smile he could and nodded. "I promise. If by chance you join me on the problem, I'll take as many detours as we need if I spot them." He smile and resumed pulling out the old wires. "Besides, it shouldn't bee too hard. They're not everywhere so You'll harldy even notice when I guide you around them."

She sighed and looked at the ground of the guts of the ship. She was obviously still trying to throw off the thoughts of those demon trees, the thought of them was one of the few things you would ever see Alex this shaken over. For now though, she was sitting there, carefully and halfhearted as she tugged at wires she noticed would be of no more use.

Vulpesen rolled his eyes while she wasn't looking. Just had to mention it, didn't ya fox brain? "So, after we remove these wires, what do we do next?" He jumped a bit as he caught a small jolt, his tail lowering to touch one. Damned thing seemed linked to his emotions and that wasn't a good thing when you were stuck in closed spaced and electrified walls.

Alexandra looked up at him so that she could see as the things passed by her eyes and she was almost done stipping the wires in this area, watching him get shocked again. "We got to run the new cables in and then get the new armament installed slowly." She smiled and grabbed his tail, setting it in her lap, so that he wouldn't be shocked anymore.

Vulpesen nodded and whistled to Ace who ran over to start passing in the wires. "How sad is it that my dog knows more about mechanics than me?" He started passing them to her, happy that her lap kept him from any unwanted jolts. "And my girlfriend at that." He chuckled and continued to pass the wires, knowing that he would have no idea how to install them.

"You have ten seconds to rephrase the girlfriend part mister." She smiled and took the cables as Ace helped them into the ship, already going about getting the new cables installed as she looked around the mountain of work they still had to do, her tools now brought in by Daeda too as she worked on reconnecting them, Daeda holding Vulp's tail in Alex's lap until he decided to rephrase the girlfriend comment or not.

Vulpesen stiffened a bit and looked over to Alex. "That came out wrong. I meant that usually its the guy who's the gear head. You know the phrase, boys and their toys." He cast a glance towards Daeda then back up to Alex. "Just another amazing thing that I love about you." He fluffed up the fur of his tail, intending to overload the little wolf's mouth with fur.

Daeda instantly stopped holding the tail, making what sounded like a mix between a cough and a sneeze. Alexandra smiled as a bit of color came back to her face and she petted Vulpesen's tail real quick as she showed a bit more happiness. Her hands returned to their work though and leaned in close to make sure everything was being connected right, her eyes and hands gliding as if on autopilot while she had his tail in her lap. "Much better Vulps, you had 4 seconds left by the way."
