Is this supposed to spark?

The zorren laughed and flicked his tail in her lap, feeling it puff a bit more as she patted it. "Well, I guess its a good thing that Zarro taught me to talk fast and think faster." After handing her the last wire, he watched her inspection, smiling to himself. It reminded him of himself when he had helped Zarro inspect animals, or Serra, his old friend when she did the same.

She made a few quick adjustments and smiled. "Vulps, i think its time to power this baby up and see how much faster all the systems are working with the adjustments, ill go over with Eve the results and the next step which is calibrating all your systems to fit the outdated star charts and other such things. You are just lucky that Alderaan is a quite common planet for thousands of years, or you might have never found it."

He rolled his eyes and started towards the cockpit. "It was refurbished you know. I bought it directly from CEC, not some outer rim auction." He made it to the cockpit and started to turn on the ship, hearing the engines and the like roar to life, seemingly revived from whatever flaws there might have been. "... But it is ancient technology."

"Its a piece of junk is what it is, seriously who ever did the refurbishment or what ever the word is needs to go back to school because they did a horrid job. These star charts are already a few years outdated... Eve, get me the datafiles from last weeks new hyperlanes and increase in travel to which sectors and start uploading them... and this monitor is busted, its picture is fuzzy, Daeda, bring me a new screen... try my parts bin in my person lab... something similar to this if you can." She tore out the old thing slowly and gave it to him while she worked on the wires.

Vulpesen stared at her as she started to rip things apart. "You act like it could have blown up at any moment..." He caught the piece and stood there, simply watching again as she started about her work. "It feels almost like when you're done, it won't even be the same ship." He looked around for a place to set the monitor in his hands.

"Oh no, who ever refurbished the ship did a great job, but a refurbishment is not like a new ship. Its been made ready to use, but not ready to be superior to its older form. What i mean is this, i give you a old speeder and you fix it up so that it runs like it did before, but then i bring you a completely new speeder and have you tell me which runs better and runs more smoothly. You see yes it was refurbished and would work exactly how you wish it too... but when im done with it it will be updated to readily use the weaponry without any un-forseen circumstances. You see what i mean?" She plopped down on the ground and sat against the wall, waiting for Daeda to bring the monitor. "Who ever got you this ship did a excellent job... just not one that im letting you fly into battle with."

Vulpesen nodded and sat next to her, placing the old monitor to his side. "So you're replacing replacements with better replacements. Got it." He grinned and nudged her. "Anyways, I think I already found a name for this ship. The Twilight Vixen Figured it'd be nice since I'm from Amar and all. Also, some famous pilot once said that the way to keep from going insane on a ship, was to imagine it and any droids as beautiful women. Though... I do think that brings his mental stability into question.

"And if you did that i think i would be a bit jealous of you for being around beautiful women all day, no?" She laughed as she heard him talk, thinking about it and nodding though as she had heard that quote before, even agreeing with it on a basis where you grow lonely in space and without something to occupy your mind you might as well have your stability put into question.

He grinned and continued to go about helping her as much as he could. "Jealous? Well, if I'm out weeks in space, imagine how happy I'll be when I come back to someone who's real?" He flicked his tail and looked closely at the materials, flicking his tail as he examined them. He had absolutely no idea what he was looking at, but that's why he had Alex with him.

"I don't know, fake people can be sooo much more fun no?" She smiled at him as the monitor was brought to her, and she stood up slowly. "Hey Vulps, get over here and hold this in position." She secured it there but needed another set of hands holding it while she got into the walls of the ship and connected everything. "I promise not to shock you this time... on purpose atleast." She muttered the last part, musing what would happen if she connected something wrong.

He rose a brow in question and walked over to hold the monitor. "Something your trying to tell me? Should I be concerned?" He locked his arms on his ribs, using them as an anchor point to hold the screen in place as she rewired it, catching her murmuring with his zorren ears. "I heard that. Please refrain from shocking me, lest I give you a nice bear hug while you do it."

"Sorry, can't hear you, head inside your ship right now trying not to screw something up." She smiled as she lay half inside the wall, pushing and sorting wire after wide and making sure everything was intact and ready to go. It did spark twice sure, and Vulps might have suffered a quick small jolt, but she was sure it was nothing he couldn't handle.

He rolled his eyes ad continued to stand where he was, watching her work, though her upper body was concealed by the parts of his ship. "Much appreciated." He stayed in his place, continuing to hold the monitor, even when her few misses left his fur on end and his body jolting a bit. "You know, I can only fly this ship if I'm alive right?"

She grumbed and kicked him in the leg from where she was, speaking. "OH shut up, im not doing it on purpose..." She frowned as she finished connecting everything and smiled, pulling herself out from the wires slowly and getting to her feet even more slowly. "And, Eve, test the systems." In a moment the console flared to life, clean and clear now, leaving a smile on Alex's face. "Everything is updated for the weaponsystems, all thats left is for the droids to secure the new holdings and calibrate the weapons. Ill also do that after they have them set up just in case, but i need a rest."

He jumped and lifted his leg as she kicked him. "Hey, ow!" He gave her a small glare which almost immediately changed to a smile as the ship hummed to life. Granted, he didn't have a mechanical bone in his body, before or after his transformation, but even still, he could tell that it was better than before. "Take as much time as you need. I don't really mind being grounded around here." He reached down and helped her to her feet as she stood.

"Well, its going to take a while for them to do it in the first place so i think we have plenty of time to just sit down and relax for a bit, do you not?" She smiled and turned her eyes on the project as she stared at her handiwork. It was something to be proud of, and something more to her because her work on it would be keeping Vulpesen safe. She viewed it as her way of protecting him without ever having to do anything herself in person.

"Sounds great to me." He wrapped his arms and wail around Alexandra, giving her a moment to examine her work before moving to press a kiss against her lips. his life of sith and other plans often kept him busy and away from the one he loved, and so he made every effort to enjoy the time he got to spend with his lover to the fullest.

Alexandra smiled as she felt him kiss her and looked at him with a wide smile. "You know, i was busy appraising my work mister, and you just interupted me. You shouldn't have done that Torrevaso." She smiled as she used his last name and reached up, poking him in the forehead as she leaned close and kissed him back, her eyes locked on his for now. "Who knows, i might make you do all the heavy lifting rather than the droids, that would give you something to do."

He chuckled and enjoyed the follow up kiss with his tail flicking at her next words. "Aren't you the one who suggested kicking back and taking it easy? Besides, would you rather be staring at some metal parts, to talking to the one who loves you and hasn't seen you in too long." He grinned and used his tail to poke her stomach. "By the way, how are the kids doing?"

"They are great, everything is going along perfectly even though i refuse to let someone else do everything for me... like my own droids. And as for me wanting to take it easy that didn't mean i couldn't kiss you mister Torrevaso. That is, unless you are telling me you don't want me to kiss you, if so then i think i am a bit hurt by that." She leaned in, but as per the same as her words, she stopped him from kissing her or hersefl from doing so.
