Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
CORBOS

Matsu took a breath in while she sat there and went over the information they had gathered. More because she wasn't willing to send jedi off by themselves and seeing what there was about the planet. From expeditions the jedi master was leading the group into the sections covered by black rain while she touched a shoulder of another jedi piloting the ship. "Head down at these coordinates and we will have to walk into the mountains and mines. We might drop out of contact so we'll be setting beacons." Her eyes flicked to the screen and she turned back to the cabin where the others were sitting as she spoke.

"Listen, we are heading into a dangerous region of the planet and the thunderstorms will; block us from most communications. Remember to set some beacons as needed and we will search." She moved more and checked her own equipment holding the parasol and her fans. The small click as the blade released and then went back into place at the handle was more then enough before she continued to speak. "These creatures feed on the life force of those they catch, when we find one signal and take it as a team. Work to shield your thoughts and actions as it can influence paranoia if you are not careful.

I had a grip on my battle hammer as I wore my Black armor. I was ready for a full on battle. Only because I didn't know what to expect to be fighting against these things. many who tried to fight them, Died. And well, I had some other stuff to live for. So i was surely not dying today. I had my helmet in my left hand and my battle hammer in my right. it was a hefty weapon. and good for bashing. While Most Jedi used lightsabers, swords or other simple clean cutting weapons, I wanted to break peoples bones. You could say I was different. and I would have let you get away with it. But inside. I was wondering how you would react to a bone being smashed into billions of pieces from the head of my hammer.

I looked up when the Jedi Alchemist began to speak to us. Saying that if we saw one of these beasts, we needed to work as a team to bring it down. And well. That would be harder said than done. I looked to her as she stood there, and I sitting myself down until everybody was ready. Wishing that [member="Maya Whitelight"] had not come on this mission with me for once.

[member="Matsu Ike"]

Listening carefully to what Master [member="Matsu Ike"] she spoke. Nodding to what was spoken. Only to find herself eyes going towards [member="Xander Carrick"] knowing good well, the talk they had on the way to the planet. In full battle gear that the order had given her, it wasn't much but more then what she had with her AKK dog armor scale. It seem not to matter for Xander he had made up his mind she had no business on this mission. Sending a message to Xander, **Listening, love they needed a healer on this mission, and one that had some combat training, I guess the battle counted as such. Look if makes you feel better we can partner up if we go out with partner that put your mind at else.

Cheeking each of her weapons again, then both of her lightsaber even those she couldn't use them at the same time. Flowing over the last few piece of her, that was the leather skin medical bag, medical kit. Cheeking each piece of equipment. Finding herself okay with all she had brought with her including seeds of different plants. Finding herself next to Xander as they wait for more of their order. Master Ike will we be paired up, to search?

Hasjo tensed at the hand upon his shoulder. He was still not accustomed to the suit that he wore on a day-to-day basis now. His ears perked as she spoke to him "Head down at these coordinates and we will have to walk into the mountains and mines. We might drop out of contact so we'll be setting beacons."
"Affirmative" he calmly replied with his synthenized voice. The metalloid Nautolan was a former commander of the Galactic Republic Navy, and an advocate of the Jedi Starfighter Corps some years ago. He directed the ship with the gentle movement of his hands upon the joysticks. The viewport was coated in sheets of black rain that poured down upon the vessel. The mammoth storms rocked the aircraft, Hasjo tightened his grip on the controls and steered with extreme caution. He spoke over an open communication link to the crew, "Signals lost. Dead zone confirmed. Command won't be keeping us company on this trip." At his belt side hung a great variety of weapons. A Saberstaff, Lightsaber Pike, San-Ni Staff, Lightwhip, and a holstered DC-17 Heavy Blaster Pistol. Hasjo was known for a terrible lack of force abilities, with the equivalent power of a youngling. Yet he was an incredibly versatile close quarters combatant. The Nautolan reached above his head to flick a switch, confirming over the comms, "Approach vector set. Prepare for landing. ETA 2 minutes."

Matsu continued to look upon them as the ship went into the area. The mines were as good a place as any to search and it looking for these creatures was a dangerous task. Something that kept them hidden away while her hands rechecked her equipment. Then Maya spoke and Matsu gave a raised eyebrow. "I would prefer we stay together but we will be needing to search. Work to stay within sight of each other and move out. If you start to feel intense fear and paranoia make sure you tell us, we will need to be careful." THen the ship was down and Matsu was moving while she opened the parasol and the rain pelted it while she walked letting the wooden shoes raise her over the mud while her kimono remained tight. Hair perfectly in place and the jedi master moved speaking. "Come along then all of you and be ready we're going on an adventure."

I listened to Maya's thoughts as she said that she knew about my not wanting her to be here. I breathed in easily as the Jedi Master said that all of us would be working together within sight of one another. I nodded my head and spoke back in return to the Zeltron that I had admitted to. "Yes, I know. I just wish that it wasn't against a beast that literally eats the souls of force sensitives."

I stood up as the shuttle landed and with holding a hand out to Maya, being a gentlemen as she would get up from her own seat. Even as it may be raining, I grabbed a cloak and handed it to Maya. "Stay warm, we don't want you do die from hypothermia when you just beat a towering behemoth." Smiling as I held it out to her. I grabbed my helmet and placed it on my head. The red cyclops eye glowed up as the HUD activated to brighten the area round us because of the rain creating a lower visibility. I grabbed a hold of my hammer. Following master Ike out of the ramp with my two other companions.

Putting a smile upon her face to hear[member="Hasjo Hallu"] voice again or what was now his voice to be. Going to him to kiss his cheek even those it was mentle. As she also listen to Master Ike, about staying close to each other and keeping her mind closed off. Fellowing out after covering herself with the extra cloak, she had on her mission jedi robes with the cloak of the healer order. Winking at Xander for his thoughts sending one back at thiem. [member="Xander Carrick"] I know you worried about me, don't I'm a big girl. Holding back as she let herelf kiss his cheek softly then pat the cheek with her hand. Walking out to pull her cloak hood up. How fun is this going to be, guys? Following down the ramp after Xander keeping in step with the Master until the order was give to fan out. [member="Matsu Ike"]

Hasjo set about the landing instructions for the vessel. Before he stood, he felt the press of [member="Maya Whitelight"] against his faceplate. He couldn't feel the kiss that she always supplied with him on his cheek every meeting they had, but the sentiment was there nonetheless. He was thankful, it still made him feel normal. He didn't feel a sense of anonymity or loneliness for those brief few seconds. But all the same, claustrophobia and isolation swept through his mind and the pit of his stomach as he stood up to join his comrades. The extreme variety of weapons swaying with each heavy thudding footfall. He confirmed the received orders it a very much militaristic fashion. Ever the Officer was he. Even the way in which he moved spoke the measures of his indoctrination into the military. His gloved right hand draped over the deactivated Lightsaber Pike. Ready for anything.

Matsu looked back for a moment to all three to make sure they were following while she let out a breath and then went forward. There were others on the ship to watch and join them if they wanted to (to leave it open for late joiners) and she knew how to handle such creatures in the long run. Then she was observing the two Xander and Maya with more amusement in her eyes and playing across her face. They reminded her of a younger version of herself which could prove quite interesting but they might have to be taught some decorum for posterity's sake. Now off to the mines while Matsu continued to walk and let the raid pelt her parasol, the lightly splaching of her geta in the water while the rest of her senses reached out. The air she could feel nice and moist while that taste of electricity was on the edge of her tongue. She would need it possibly if the creature proved difficult. Call down the might of the storm to contain and silence it.

I shook my head as she went off saying that she was a big girl. I knew she was. but last time she had been in a battle. She ended up with a broken leg and dripping blood, refusing medical aid, and instead was giving it to others. I simply nodded my head as the rain pelted down on my armor. The little tink tink tink apparent and with the wind that was also here, the black scarf that I wore flowed in the wind. There were a few weapons that I carried with me. However, today I carried Dawnstar, Two lightsabers, and a Combat shotgun over my shoulder. As much as it was nice and easy for me to use a lightsaber, A shotgun could come in handy with the bubbles that were on top of the beast. or just to grab its attention.

I turned to the ship to see if anybody else was joining us. However if anybody had the balls to join, I'd give them a high five. "I though you were a bad girl?" I spoke back to Maya jokingly. Maybe it would lighten the mood on this hunt for a beast.

Shooting [member="Xander Carrick"] a mischievous glance ending with a wink. Only in your sweet dreams, Im your bad girl. Taking off after making sure her lightsaber was where she could grab it easy. Only to let herself go into her warrior huntress. Her eyes quicken around the place scouting out with her eyes pushing out with the force. Only to find herself the ground rocky. Coming up next to Xander as she was careful not to go to far out form him. Even so she could feel something in the air, taking in all the sense. It wasn't only feeling it was the smell also. Looking over towards [member="Matsu Ike"] speaking to her. Master Ike do you smell that, it don't will its out of place. [member="Hasjo Hallu"] turning towards Hasjo, only to find herself, Is there anything on your scanners.

[member="Maya Whitelight"] turned towards him, asking, "Is there anything on your scanners."
Hasjo replied calmly, "My suit has no scanners - It's a life support system." His synthesised voice replied. There was no audible breathing, but there was some sort of gush noise every few seconds. His chest rises and lowered as the apparatus fuelled his lungs with oxygen. Another apparatuses replaced his secondary heart, pumping blood for him. That was from where the gushing noise could be heard. The squeezing of blood forced through his arteries and veins. The repetitive click-clack accompanied the thudding of his feet as armoured plates intersected. Rain pattered against his shoulders where the emblem of the Order was engraved. In some ways, Hasjo's suit appeared to be the physical embodiment of the Order. The slit for his eyes gave out a luminescent silver glow, as he turned they lightly lit the path for him. Two small torchlights. Hasjo felt grossly out of place walking with the three of them, so he marched forward to walk beside [member="Matsu Ike"], quietly stalking at her side.

Matsu listened more and more but remained quiet until Maya spoke to her about the smells around them and she sniffed the air. Her nose going through the scents of rain and she it was there nearly undetectable. Now she moved gently taking a look to feel the others when they were near and checked her sleeve with the saber. Her hand came up revealing it as the snap hiss activated illuminating the ground and area around them. The clay made the waters look red as the jedi master stopped and scanned the area while she reached otu with her senses. "Move to the mine shafts and be careful, use the force to search and stay within contact. I'll search ahead." She moved forward and came to the edge of a quarry while she looked down. Then Matsu jumped letting the force come below her while she slid along the mud down into it.

I shook my head, deciding to stop sending messages back and forth through Telepathy because of hard it would be to come back from Only in your sweet dreams, Im your bad girl. Now that may have changed, but at the moment, it would be.... very hard to do so. As Maya went to ask about the scanners and smelling something weird, I just chuckled and shook my head. I could smell it too, and I knew what it was.

Decomposing flesh.

Because of Maya's weak stomach, I didn't want to tell her that she was almost literally breathing in the odor of dead flesh. As Master Ike told us to pan out of Force senses, feeling for anything that we could, I did so. Following instructions as I could feel the smallest of rats around us as we entered the caves. Everything had Midichlorens, and as such, a force user could feel where they were, and it allowed for us force users to tell if there was another force sensitive around us, or just beings in general. As much as I had a low force sensitivity, I was rather good at sensing things. So feeling this rat scamper away from my helm light, was expected.

I felt nothing for a while, as the rain upon the armor stopped to just a few drips and dabs here and there as my gloves and other clothing was wet. I could survive this. I just wish it didn't get worse. Like me being a prune after this mission.

"Don't use your lightsabers yet. it would give away who you are." seeing as how other people could be here as well, if we did encounter others in the mines, I didn't want them to know that all of us were force users.

As Xander spoke those words she had already started on the task at hand. Finding making these tubes with out thought. Popping off both caps only to have half the liquid that seem to have a green tint. With the other was a white powder herb from the leave of a tree from her home planet of Harrun Kal. As these two elements came together the glow started, handing one to Xander then passing one on to [member="Matsu Ike"] Speaking through the force to [member="Hasjo Hallu"] will you need one of these...

Smiling at him as know he would know one of her tricks of many she hand in her bag she always had on her hip. Still her lightsaber wasn't that far from her as if to make sure she touch both her hip where the one was always clip and the other one with in her hair. Now through the force to Xander What wrong kitty got your sweet tongue of yours. [member="Xander Carrick"]

Matsu looked at Maya was passing out lights and her eyes continued to look forward while she went downwards into the quarry. There was much one could do in the rain and she focused on the force to be her senses in the dark. She could feel it on the edge of her senses and was prepared, the blade in her parasol might snap against the hide but it would slice into it. The blade was sharper then a lightsaber and the jedi master knew how to enhance the strength of a weapon with the force. Her fans could be used to call down the lightning and storms for their advantage as long as the beast was outside. Then there was just her regular lightsaber as well as the others. Not one to truly doubt those around her or their skills but she had never been around them. Their abilities untested and questionable in the long run as she touched the bottom of the quarry and looked up. The crack of lightning illuminating the high area where Maya and the others were while Matsu knelt down just a little bit. Her hand meeting the ground and sending a wave through the force to find something, anything and then she felt it. Distant but hungry.

[member="Maya Whitelight"] asked of Hasjo, "will you need one of these..."
"No, thank you," Hasjo answered. The eye slits were not illuminated at this time. It allowed him to utilise his naturally powerful eyes hidden behind the faceplate to soak in the little shreds of light. The only downside was that the others nearby were using the glowing sticks, it forced his eyes to adjust to the brighter light, and thus made it further more difficult to see into the darkness. He tightened his palm over his Lightsaber Pike and moved away some, giving him some distance from the light so that he could better see. It was only a matter of minutes before he could see far ahead of him. He had lost his ability to smell pheromones - and perhaps if he still had that ability he could sniff out this creature. He had lost his great flexibility due to his lack of vertebrae. But he had not lost his great eyesight. And he definitely had not lost his ability with weapons. With his right hand draped over the pike, his left hand hovered over the DC-17 Heavy Blaster Pistol, ready for a quick draw. The plasma of a lightsaber could achieve a heat volume in the hundreds of thousands, but a well placed plasma slug could take down any creature just as well. But this, he wasn't entirely sure what the creature they were hunting looked like. He only hoped his foreign suit would put it off eating him. Few creatures liked eating durasteel, right?

We continued to walk forwards, even hearing Maya speaking to me in my mind, asking if the cat got my tongue. I shook my head with a smile as we all continued to walk. "No, I just fear that I might be burned sometime soon." and it was kind of true. She would be the one to make and poke fun at me. but like every guy knows, we don't like it when girls poke at us for not talking. Maybe we just like the idea of silence? I mean, women already talked our ears off all the time. so Silence was a good thing every once in a while. But poking fun at silence? Some men would have started to bicker.

Even as I could feel the Dark side of the force all over the planet, it was small enough that I knew that it would not be the beast that could devour the souls of those before us. Taking an even firmer grip on my hammer, Sure I could use a lightsaber against the beast, but a hammer to the face, tooth, or whatever, would hurt like none other. I thought about saying that I could just beat it into submission, but that would mean so many hits from the hammer.

[member="Hasjo Hallu"], [member="Matsu Ike"], [member="Maya Whitelight"]

Now as she fan out from the others, taking up a behind position for the group. Even so as the smaller rocks started to give way to her footing. Finding it harder for her to hold her pace. Coming face to face with letting the force flow around her to ride it to where every it would take her. Only to feel once again that feeling in the pit of her stomach. Her own eyes darting back and forth to the fact that there was something other thing there eyes watching the group it was just that feeling that one gets when they are watching for the shadows. Coming to a stop only to turn very quickly to quick if some saw what she did next to almost like. [member="Xander Carrick"][member="Hasjo Hallu"][member="Matsu Ike"]

Matsu felt them off in the distance and gave a nod of her head while she moved forward. Letting them check it out and she would remain down here just in case while the lightning lit up the area, the thunder cracked showing a large vent leading down into the mines while Matsu looked over the edge. Even her letting the force enhance her eyes to see couldn't pierce a few feet down but the feeling of foreboding as she ran a hand along the edge and pulled out a glow rod. Then she was jumping in and downb letting the air rush around her until her hands came out and she stopped hovering in the black shadows. "Head into the mines deeper and be careful while you search." She spoke into the comlinks and held the parasol before going down slowly.
