And now Jessica realizes that the terentateks' lack of agility made them hit their fallen comrades' poisoned tusks, due to their vision being poorly adapted to higher luminosity such as the one she radiated using Force-light, making the security's own job that much easier, killing off another dozen terentateks (or venomous rancors if their dark-sided energy was dispelled beforehand) or so. Of course her luminosity was more akin to that of a strobe beacon in the 1-2 kW range commonly used on low-luminosity planets for marking spaceports than broad daylight. Also, her luminosity is steadily fading as her Force-energy is draining, as did her computational power, which served as her recombination zone. At the same time, the pulse of light-sided energy she emitted at the onset has traveled even farther out from the beach, but at lowered intensity thanks to the inverse-square law. And also the core of the nexus was a little less dark, but its expectation value still stands at a -0.7, still rather dark, and a long way to go until it reached the recommended value of -0.3 (and higher is preferred still, but it will take multiple Force-light pulses).

"We might have warded off the terentatek pack for the time being, just that I have no idea how long it will take you to recharge your Force-batteries... master?" an engineer asked, while seeing Jessica's luminosity fade.

"Just bring me out of the terentateks' range... oh and also position the heavy weapons on the higher levels" she ordered, still reeling in from the headaches her own method of using Force-light incurred, but pleased that the trap has worked with limited casualties.

He seemed to be flying as he ran faster and faster, his legs seemed to be fluid water as they moved faster and faster as he tried to get to her, tried to just be there in that instant, but it still took time, each second was being wasted as he tried to make it to her. The world became a blur, he could only focus on one thing, her, and only her. His movement could not be seen by anyone but a user of the force, it would only seem to be a blur as he ran faster then he could imagine, but it was for a good cause, the best of causes.

He came into the compound and began to make his way towards Jairdain, making it closer, and closer to her as she moved. He slowed down and just ran at a normal human pace. He glanced this way and that as he searched for her pursuers. He continued to search until he practically stumbled upon them. Looking he saw a flying Trandoisan make his way for Jane and a red man trying to shoot at Jairdain. Just staring for a moment until the world came back to him.

With a step forward and he put his head down and throw off his cloak making his amour visible. "Fight me, leave the girl alone, she is none of your business or worry. I am more worthy of your fight then she is. Come and face me in combat, or are yo afraid of a challenge." The words would come sternly as he slowly unsheathed his sword and flourished it in the air staring at Krest.

The trio eventually made it to the Togorian elder’s home, a tidy affair located near the edges of the city. The pair of Zeltrons, Violetta and Fiona looked around in idle observation of their surroundings. They didn’t feel threatened, but were taught to always stay on their toes in the case of potential abductions. Their kind was heavily sought after by slavers, and them traveling around like this ran the risk of being targeted by scam artists.

“What symptoms does your wife have?” Fiona piped up as they crossed the threshold into the neatly decorated little house. “Oh,” The Togorian, Uhor, pondered for a few moments before rattling of what he could remember of his wife’s condition. “Well, last week she started to feel more tired than usual in the evenings. Then it became difficult for her to rise in the mornings.” He paused as if trying to recall what came next.

“Her throat hurt one night, so she went to bed early and then woke up with a terrible cough. A fever followed soon after, and it’s been getting worse. We weren’t too worried at first, no, but she hasn’t gotten better in a week. If there’s anything you can do…” He paused, pushing open a door to the bedroom and standing to the side so that the pair of medics could enter first.

“Dear, these two are from the Silver Jedi Hearts.” Uhor didn’t quite understand what they were, something bout heartbeats and Jedi, but they claimed to be medics and seemed nice enough.

On the bed lay a Togorian woman, conscious but looking absolutely miserable.

The former Sith Knight then smirked, more than ready to begin the task at hand. He did not just bring a large ship for no reason. The Toydorians themselves knew that they needed to be armed, and be ready for an attack. That was why he had brought many of Drakos Systesms' products to the people that he had once considered his enemy. It was probably best not to say he was from the Iron Empire, as the Empire had tens of millions of One Sith deserters.

Returning from his exile to the Iron Empire was something that was already decided ever since Krayzen had renounced the Sith Code during his exile. It had also benefited the Empire, as the Dark Knight had one of the few Darr-Itah Battlecruisers in the galaxy, the pride of One Sith Naval Engineering. He had been one of the proponents that had made the project move quickly after One Sith adminstration foolishly ignored Cyrus' repeated demands for a ship.

Krayzen knew that it had been retrofitted to fit Isamu's desires. He agreed with some of the changes, but he still felt that the Battlecruiser needed some changes sooner, rather than later. That was why the Iron Centurion would one day make his own battlecruiser, that would server him well in battle, at least in his own mind.

"Move it to this route here. " he ordered, as he got to his speeder to arrive to the route.

-Engaging Causstik-
The Lizard came off with masterful dodge and Jade found herself facing the same situation. As his jetpack ignited, her eyes snapped to his shoulders, and hips, tracking his movement. She anticipated the launch, and stepped forwards with her left foot, sliding her right back and to the right. Then she pivoted on the ball of her foot.

As she pivoted, her body angled paralle to the lizards flight path. Hot exhaust choked her up and watered her eyes, and she felt the heat scald some of her skin under the robe. He went ripping past and she finished the pivot with a backhand swish of her saber into his back, right at his jetpack.

The armor might be all good, but could it stand up to a jetpack's fuel tanks exploding? If her saber hit it's mark she'd find out...

Krest kept the gun leveled for his prey, his mask betraying no sense of intention or emotion. The yellow gold visor would simply stare ahead, focused. Causstik had launched into the fight against his Jedi, which meant the Zabrak could focus on his prey and his prey alone. Or, could have. Another voice came, almost desperate sounding, from the side. Casually the helmet turned to look at him, followed by the large pistol.

The armored Zabrak finally showed a sense of emotion when he shrugged his shoulders to the man, and pulled the trigger of the hand cannon. At the same time, his other hand came up to point at his original target, and the dart shooter on his wrist would fire off one of the force inhibitor darts.

The roars of the dying and dead Terentateks permeated the coastline of Kachirho village. Kaden had hardly pierced the hide of his first beast when the golden light of Jessica washed over the village. The Sith found himself wondering how such a feat was possible as the Terantatek's darkness was swept away, returning it to the rancor it should have always been.

Kaden, with the help of some wookies and a few rangers, put it down swiftly.

As the creatures were driven away, the sun began to set on Kachirho. Although the light had saved the day, night was upon them and with it - darkness. The aura of the darkside, briefly dissipated by Jessica, was slowly creeping back into the village. The nexus was, quite obviously, still active.

Something had to be done about it.

Jairdain felt as Karl got closer by the moment. Moving faster than even she would have been able to, but using Force Speed was not something she did often. As Krest's first attack was blocked, Karl showed up. He told the lord to leave her alone and to fight him instead. For a moment only, she remembered their time alone on his ship and the other times they had been together. The hopes and dreams they had shared of their future together. Consular and sentinel standing together fighting off the enemy, attending diplomatic functions and even having a family. It all flashed through her mind.

"No, Karl, this is our fight and it might be our only one. We do this together."

Krest raised his weapons, but before his shot connected with her, Jairdain again used a dash and positioned herself to be standing at Karl's side. The love she had for the Jedi would clearly be felt and maybe even a touch of happiness that they were finally given the opportunity to fight together.

Something she didn't understand about the situation was who and why were they even after her? They obviously were trying to disrupt the conference, the explosion did that. Lykos was here, Jairdain had felt him. Who was this armored man in front of her? She wanted to be a diplomat, maybe she could talk some information out of this guy.

"Who are you and what do you want with me?"

Darth Ophidia surveyed the images and shared them with Filiae. The blue skinned Sith knight stared at the image, red eyes narrowing as she read into the source code. Her implants scouring the available information furiously. However, their network was limited. Such was the cost of their cover. Filiae could only access so many outlets lest they risked being pinned. Her head shook and eyes turned down for a moment before she returned to the main screen.

We cannot identify her from this position. However, we are in position to intercept.

The Pale Assassin leaned back in her chair, hands folding together in front of her mouth. The Nagajj slithered from her feet and over to the Chiss, coiling around her foot and whispering into the knight’s mind. Some things were best kept between the Pale and her Shadow. Not shifting from her position, she continued to speak to her peers.

Should the Red feel the need for assistance.

Filiae was busy pulling up and arranging information of the Silver Jedi’s former failures in terms of protecting and securing order. From the Butcher of Korriban to the defection of former members who had since been seen committing atrocities on behalf of the First Order. Not to mention the complete radio-silence about attacks on Voss. Propaganda to sow dissent, distrust, and disorder in the budding democracy.

"If not, then I will proceed to my own target."

Assassination could do much, but without the words, the rumours, to go with it, it was easily dismissed as freak incidences. With these rumours, however, they could paint murder in a political hue.

If the Silver Jedi Order could not protect itself or keep its soldiers in line, how could it be expected to protect Charros IV?

While, of course, the nexus was not completely neutralized, the poisonous rancor bodies were a hazard that had to be cleaned up. Of course, for the next round of attacks, the heavy weapons were moved into the city's higher levels, even though doing so would leave them exposed to other airborne threats. Then again, effective range for airborne attack, and likewise against it, is much reduced at night in the atmospherical conditions prevalent on Kashyyyk. With those MiniMags, they might be able to fire at terentateks 2-3 km away, with machineguns firing at closer ranges afterward, they should be able to make short work of any further terentatek that would dare cross the barrier of poisonous rancor bodies, while the AT-AT barges were hard at work collecting the dead rancor bodies to prevent soil and water contamination. Of course she had to be rested somewhat, but her computational power recovered a bit faster than her Force-energy even though her available computational power isn't at its peak. Her headaches faded a bit, of course, she finds herself face-to-face with [member="Kaden"] while her Force-batteries are recharging:

"Remember: a dark side nexus is stronger at night, so it might be best to take action at dawn, where the nexus weakens: we would be able to do more then for the amount of energy at our disposal. While the darkness from the nexus is less intense than it used to be, it's still rather active"

And also to focus my Force-energy in one focused blast, she thought, while thinking of exactly how she would achieve that effect; last time, she was glowing in all directions because she was unable to focus her Force-light in one direction. She also remembered how lasers worked: a gain medium, a fully-reflecting mirror (at a particular frequency), another one that has a near-perfect reflectivity and pumping energy put into a gain medium. So the pumping energy would be provided from her Force-batteries, her finger would be the imperfect mirror, her body (or more accurately her nerves) would be the gain medium... and she had to be able to switch between both modes of use depending on the desired effect.

He stared at the Sith as he glanced at him. Before he knew it a gun was drawn and fired, he used the force and slowed down time enough so he could dodge the large bullet coming at him. When he came back he stared at the Sith for a moment. He gave a sigh and twisted his sword in his hand as he stared at the Sith and gave a low and deep growl. He glanced as the man shot at Jair and felt his heart seem to squeeze tight and not let go.

Before he knew it Jair was standing next time him, his heart relaxing a bit as he gave a brief sigh of relief as he sent a wave of reassurance towards her staring at Krest. He wondered to himself why they had targeted her, what did she have that was special, there were a lot of other Jedi Masters in the galaxy that knew a lot more then her, she did know a lot though, but why her.

"This is our fight, and I will always stand with you."

He said to her softly turning back to Krest, ready for a fight.

[SIZE=11pt]Causstik Rahn saw the women side step his attack. As she did so she swung against his jet pack. The jet’s sputtered and Causstik went flying out of control. He flew upwards into the air and they exploded throwing him back to the ground. Causstik sat up on all fours and grasped at his chest as he spit blood. The pain told him something was broken. A few ribs he imagined. It wouldn’t be enough to stop the dazed Trandoshan though. He got up on shaky legs and his left hand shot to his Verpine shatter pistol. The weapon's projectiles were nearly impossible to block with a lightsaber due to their small size and extreme speed. He withdrew it from his holster and growled at the Jedi. Causstik let loose three shots in rapid succession all the while he approached the woman at a methodical pace. Attempting to close the ground while keeping her suppressed with bullet fire.[/SIZE]

“Hi, there.” Violetta ventured forward first, her face naturally curving into a smile as she approached the Togorian woman.

“Her name is Uma.” Her husband offered, standing tentatively to the side, wanting to be closer to his wife but respecting the medic’s space near her bed. Uhor looked on with a hopeful eye. The Zeltron medics seemed fairly young, but so far they’d conducted themselves in a professional manner. Perhaps they weren’t entirely as flamboyant as the rumors were.

“Hello Uma,” Violetta continued, shifting so that she rested on one knee beside the bed. While Violetta assessed the patient’s mental condition, Fiona busied herself by unloading some wares from her bag. First, a datapad with a special sort of scanner attachment. Violetta pressed the back of her hand to Uma’s forehead, then to each side of her cheeks. Seeing as how Uhor was not ill and there were no reports of an outbreak, she deduced that the disease was not easily spread, and not particularly deadly if contracted.

“Patient has a mild fever, glassy eyes and a cough.” Her voice was pleasant though clinical as Fiona made a note of the symptoms on her datapad. “Is anything else bothering you, Uma? No detail is too small.”

Kashyyyk, what an odd name for a planet. Jerit thought during his ride on the transport.

He was curious to see the life there, as he had never heard of the planet before in his life. Jerit was on a mission of standard Jedi protocol, nothing special of the sort. He was taking a transport ship from the Voss Academy to meet with Jedi Grandmaster, [member="Arisa Yune"] and to follow her instructions. This was his first assignment with the Grandmaster, and he was very honored by it. He was also tagging along with colonel [member="Valkren Calderon"] , a good friend that Jerit will be comfortable working with. After exiting hyperspace, Jerit saw a massive ship in front of him. He could not believe the size of it! It had careful engineering and mass destruction written all over it. After the ship had boarded the fierce, Vánagandr, Jerit went to go find the Grandmaster. He did not want to be late and upset the prestigious woman. After walking around the flagship with the help of some members of the crew, Jerit saw the back of the Grandmaster. He went up to her and bowed with his upmost respect.

" Grandmaster Arisa " Jerit said in calmness.....

Colonel Valkren Calderon let a cigarette burn slowly between his lips as his icy blue hues gazed over his surrounding area. The young Silver Jedi Order colonel stood in his fatigues next to the transport vessel that would take him and [member="Jerit Kolomor"] to one of the biggest Dreadnaught ships he had ever seen. It was an impressive sight to say the least, atleast that's what went through Valk's mind as he took another drag from his cigarette, turning his body and leaning his head up to get a good view of the transport.

Yune sure did some work with this one..

He, of course, thought of the Dreadnaught command center that he had seen so many holos' of. The colonel took one last drag, before dropping it to the ground, being sure to stomp out the burning ember well with his combat boots before moving out. He let out a quick cough before reaching down with his right hand and grasping at a rather large and heavy duffle. He straightened his service cap with his left hand, before making the slightly tedious walk with his cargo up and into the transport. He set his bag in a secure location, before taking a seat next to Jerit, just giving him a simple smile and nod as he sat down and strapped in.

As they finished their jump, the gigantic ship came into view. Even after briefings and reports about the ship during it's construction, it was still unreal, seeing it in person.

It was beautiful.

Once the transport made its way onto the flagship, Valkren would follow behind a seemingly eager Jerit, returning salutes that were sent to him from Rangers and fleet members alike onboard the ship. Until they eventually reached Arisa, and at this Valkren snapped off a crisp salute, and then a nod.

"Ma'am."

Krest peered between the pair of Jedi before him, and even began to lower his weapons a tad. A deep sigh escaped his lips. "Ya'll Jedi are weird." His voice spoke through the distorter build into his mask. No sooner did he say that that he brought the guns back up. The Force swelled around the armored man, and the large cannon in his hand would be gripped by that very power. Rapid shots erupted from the gun with little recoil, the bullets flying towards Karl and Karl alone.

And yet again he fired another of the darts for the blind Jedi. All it would take was a successful shot and she would be out of the equation.

For just a moment, their attacker appeared to lower his weapons. His voice was distorted as he spoke and he said the Jedi were weird. How were the Jedi that? They were disrupting a peace talk. No sooner had that thought crossed her mind when he brought his weapons back up firing at both of them. Most of the shots were sent at Karl which Jairdain could block some of them, but not that great of an amount with her saber. Only one was sent her way which she found odd.

One shot, she could block with her hand. Raising it up, instead of getting hit with a blaster bolt, something else pierced her palm. Her world went dark. With a gasp of surprise, she withdrew her hand and wondered what had just happened. She was still awake and aware, but could only hear and touch. For the first time in her life, she was truly blind. The Force was gone. Without that, she wasn't going to stand any chance in a fight against this man. She would be unable to assist Karl or even Jade in their fights.

Turning her saber off, replacing the hilt on her belt clip, Jairdain stood calmly in the face of the storm. Whatever was going to happen, she would face it like a Jedi. At least if she died here, it would be by the side of Karl and not some random rock of a world alone.

"What do you want of me?"

Her hearing was exceptional and she waited to hear what Krest was going to say or do.

Standing there staring at the man he would suddenly feel something gone from next to him, he looked at Jair and was confused why he coudln't feel her, until he saw the dart sticking out of her hand. With a slight snarl he turned towards the sith and almost ran to fight him, but he remembered who was, what he was and he took a deep long breathe and calmed down enough to stand still and wait for the fight to happen, and to let it be on his terms, not the Krest's.

While realizing that her mental activity is steadily increasing, Jessica seems a lot more tempted to experiment based on that, but also realized that it might be ineffectual unless a full-power, focused blast could be applied at the center of the nexus, that is, the very spot where one Draco Vereen was when he opened fire using a Force-destruction bomb, or a similar thing, and hopefully the alignment operator's expectation value would increase above the threshold that she believes differentiates a dark-side nexus from a neutral one. Of course, overwatch at night may well be quite different, but also that the deaths of seventy-five terentateks (or rancors, depending on whether they had any dark-sided energy left or not) might cause the terentateks to avoid venturing around the village that somehow served as a capital on this planet. And yet she was confident she would have sufficient computational power by dawn even though she used it at a level of intensity that was much higher than what was recommended when recharging one's Force-batteries.

The lizard was willy one. His Verpine Shatter Gun fired, burping up a slew of projectiles. Jade's eyes widened and she felt the shock of fear ramp up her adrenaline. Still at a decent distance she had some command of the force. Her instinct moved before her mind could catch up. She swatted the air with her Saber, rotating the sapphire blade in a series of figure eights.

As it thrummed it caught one round, demolishing it. The second round was stopped by a quick off hand force shove. But she was not that lucky. Or was it skill?

The third caught her right in the ribcage, shattering bone and ricocheting out of her back. Bright crimson flecks splashed from her skin soaking her robes as it ripped out of her. Her jaw clenched tight, her body was on fire now. the pain was intense, like a white hot knife through her side.

For a moment, she felt anger, but had no time to partake in the emotion. She shoved it hard out of her psyche and kept tracking the lizard as he approached. She matched his speed, coming straight in with a high slash at his neck. the movement was quick, a flick of the wrist and then a retraction.

As her hips met his and they entered close range she growled, scooping her left hand into a hook. She attempted to land the hook behind his neck, and stomped down hard on the spot where his ankle met his foot.
