The moment that the apparent Jedi Padawan had stopped moving was the only reasoning that Zaren needed now. She was either unnecessarily secretive, or a Sith, and Zaren didn't like to be deceived. Not at all. Once on Yinchorr when he had still been a Junior Jedi Knight, he had stopped some Witch Skirmish from actually becoming full-blown when he had found their leader in a hut a few miles away, and when he had tried to cut down that Witch before the attak could build up even more, as his lightsaber descended the illusion disappeared and Zaren had been left with nothing.

It had been a trick, most likely something to waste his time so that the rest of them could escape whilst the creatures they had conjured could continue to wreak havoc. His fists had clenched back then, and at this point, he felt that his fingers were bending the material of his lightsaber hilt with his sheer strength. He knew it was not so however, it simply felt that way. Despite the lightsaber being light, it was quite durable. It wouldn't break from a squeezing or crushing force. At least, not immediately.

When [member="Daella Apparine"] had spoken and said that she had known of Diana Moridena, he didn't reply. He was thinking of how to reply to the Jedi, he had to tread carefully. He knew that. He even sensed it at the Force at this point in time. He had in fact sensed it from the beginning that they had encountered each other, but then he had known she was lying and he had felt something dark about her. Now, he was certain of that darkness. Now, he was certain of this person's true allegiance.

Once the Jedi Padawan had thanked [member="Hawke Katamirth"], the Jedi Knight pushed that off to the side of continuing to play as the frightful Learner. He didn't say anything for a few more moments.

She's waiting for more Sith to come so that she may betray me. That cannot happen.

"How long have you been a Sith?"

That was something that the old Zaren would have said, the apprentice with his friends when they were joking around so long ago. But now, this was the grown up version of the Jedi from so long ago, he wasn't a teenager anymore. He was a Jedi Knight, the Protector of Tython, and the leader of the defense of Ossus's Temple at this very point in time. Despite all that, he had still said those words, and for a moment, Zaren was determined to end this threat.

Snap-Hiss.

Only one thought went through Anarya's mind as the blast sent her flying. Not again. Her back struck the wall with an audible crack, her head following moments later. It hurt. Her head stung. Her back felt like it was on fire. Her weapon fell to the floor moments before she slid down the wall, her legs no longer supporting her. The room was going dark. She saw [member="Lupe Baracka"] taunting the Sith, she saw her fellow Jedi fighting for their lives, most of the younglings dead or bound, and the Sith. They were so dark. So dark....

The room began to fade. Try as she might, the pain in her head made it hard to keep her eyes open. She knew she had to. But her head hurt. Her back hurt. The pain was unbearable.

Arturious seemingly continued to move apparently unmolested through the corridor following the directions he had been given. Arturious thought it odd he would even make it as far as he did without being challenged. Sith Troopers all around him continued to fight there way into the temple as far as they could. Arturious even let himself admire their bravery.

Arturious looked at the door for a few moments before closing his eyes for just a quick moment reaching in and pushing slightly on the door with the force testing how strong it was before shrugging and spinning his saber around in his hand and slicing down right to left at the door.

Arturious had grown tired of being subtle the itch of clashing sabers with someone rising up through him like a sweltering heat.

Just as the Jedi Korr and Sith Nephthys began to duke it out in earnest, the wall closest to them exploded out in with a momentous roar of power followed shortly by the broken body of a Jedi to flop across the floor awkwardly before coming to a stop at the farthest most wall. For a moment, all seemed silent as the dust began to settle from the sudden outburst of violent power, before a single armored leg stepped out from the threshold in the wall swiftly followed by another before the silhouette of a person became clear in the gloom. The silence was suddenly broken by a single snap-hiss, followed by the bright illumination of the darkness by a single beam of crimson energy that revealed the newcomer in the wall.

"Is this upstart giving you a hard time, Sister?"

Of course, Nephthys was not Vornskr's actual sister, but it was an affectionate term for the female members of the One Sith.

The Sith Lord stalked further into the room, but he did not move to engage the Jedi Knight, but rather prowled the perimeter of the duel like a predator sizing up his corner prey.

Miles went down to the temple, looking for a soul to steal. He was in a bind, way behind, and willing to make them squeal. When he came across a Sith with saber burning hot. So Miles jumped on a table and said, "Boy let me tell you what."

"Now I guess you didn't know that I'm a melee fighter too,"

"And if you'd care to take my dare, I'll make a bet with you."

"Now you fight a pretty battle, boy, but give a soldier his due."

I'll bet you a fiddle of gold, cause I think I'm better than you."

[member="Miles Varden"]

Arturious turned to the person that addressed him with a cock of his head looking around at all the troops both Republic and Sith. Arturious closed his eyes and sighed flicking off his Saber looking around.

"Live to fight another day Soldier." "I don't know what it is in this temple that the Sith care about so much but at this point I don't care." "It benefits me not a bit to kill you for it."

Arturious points to the Republic troops fighting the Sith troops.

"If it is glory you wish for I am sure they could use your help."

With that Arturious turned and went back the way he came.

TEMPLE GROUNDS, AWAY FROM THE TEMPLE

Tracyn meditated softly, the chaos of the battle around him, becoming background noise. Static, like a bad holovision. He closed his eyes, and reached out with the force. He let the force flow through him, empowering his body. He sat, still as a statue, while the force flowed into his body. Hate, angry, and rage, flowed outwards and was removed, while serenity and peace were restored to the man. His crushgaunt adored hands found themselves placed on the ground, after sliding down slowly on his knees. Death would come to those. He was not responsible for those deaths. Hion was. He waited, just a little longer. And he continued to build up his presence in the force, using the nexus of the temple, the nexus of the Jedi around him, while ignoring the negativity of the rage of battle, the deep seated anger of the soldiers around him, and the Sith.

Tracyn, however, did not move - yet.

She heard the jedi give her sarcastic remark, so sing me a scale. She looked at him, and said If you wish her voice was flat. Her leg was throbbing in pain, her throat was sore from last one. Though throat hurt no where the same as her leg did. So she sang Do-re-mi-FFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA on the the fa she her jaw opened fully wide again, she poured all energy she had into it. She did it small burst, but was ready to do it again in another key..

Kaiden had cut through the Sith troopers, with help from Havoc Squad. And then, he ran into the temple. Bolts from surviving Sith troopers, sprang around him. And they tore through some Republic troopers, and he passed some familiar faces, but he was alerted by the all-too-familiar sound of a force bellow. Duracrete lay around his feet, as he came towards his target. A Sith lady. He gritted his teeth in rage, and let out his war cry.

No one. Messed. With. His. Friends. He didn't particularly have a fondness for Jedi, but Kaiden was a man of action and of duty. And it was a girl - a young, girl. A kid. So the Havoc squad tore through the Sith troopers, and masked Sith marauaders. He trucked one, slamming him against the wall, and he felt his ribs break, and his head smash against the wall. Maybe not dead, but not going to fight again anytime soon. Everything moved in slow motion. Everything.

He looked over and saw [member="Anarya Drast"] lying on the floor. His boots, slammed into the floor. His fists curled around his Mohc blade, before it sprang forth from it's sheath. He dropped his rifle, and ran up behind [member="Darth Banshee"]. He roared in anger, and went to stab her- straight through her chest, from her side. She probably could see him coming, but he doubted she'd have time to move while being otherwise preoccupied.
"Time to die."

Tsolan rose an eyebrow underneath the mask as he heard [member="Alexandra Cinthra"]'s words. "A pleasure to see you too." His eyes swiveled back to the jedi in front of him. "So my dear, do you intend to follow her advice? Take down the dark and selfish sith? The sith who's goal is peace in the galaxy?" He swirled the sabers in his hands, preparing for the next engagement. Well, he hadn't been punched as Alexandra had promised, but there was still time in his career and this plan of having a jedi whoop his rear end might just do it for her.

I can't feel my legs.

The young padawan looked up at the churning battle around her. She couldn't do anything. She needed help. She needed to get away from the fighting, needed to get to a healer. but she couldn't feel her legs. Couldn't move them. Her weapon was too far away to be of any use. She needed help to escape. But she couldn't keep her eyes open. Slowly, she began to drift off, the pain threating to seal her eyes shut.

Miles ran past the Sith who retreated. He saw a young female Jedi who appeared wounded. He cut down a few unlucky troopers who got in his way. Standing over the young woman, Miles bent down to pick her up, seeing her legs he spoke to her in a gentle voice.

"I'll get you out of here. Let me carry you. Grab you weapon and I'll get you help."

Accusing the Padawan of being with the Sith. Hawke's eyes widened at the accusation. Bold words indeed from the Knight. Were they true though? Hawke could not discern Sith from Jedi by way of the Force. Diana looked like the other few she'd met, although her wits seemed to be of a doubting nature. Not as strong as them, but was it all a ruse this meek girl. "If you are Sith. You've put yourself in a poor situation. Men take aim"! Everyone's weapons were pointing at the girl, Hawke's own two pistols as well. Her gaze hardened towards the girl. Now it was this 'Diana' girls time to answer the accusations.

Diana jerked her head toward [member="Zaren Bouqi"]. Her eyes were wide enough to show just through the veil of her hair. She raised her second arm before her as if to guard herself against their rifles. She inched away from Zaren, [member="Hawke Katamirth"], and the rest of the soldiers at the Archive entrance. Her hands and body visibly trembled, though. She seemed to be very close to breaking down and crying on the spot.

“E-e-e-e-e-eh?” she stuttered as she maintained the act of a nervous, confused Jedi Padawan. She looked to the woman that saved her earlier, Hawke.

@Ki'an Karr

The young jedi made an impressive dodge to her light whips arc. The red band slashed into the temple floor burning a hot scar into its depths. Hauntruss hissed in amusement, "Impressive" Then the jedi spun to attack with his yellow blade across her knees during one of her long stances. However, Hauntruss was already in motion to her next move and moved the back foot so her leg was removed from the attack so that only her robes were singed. "Most impressive" she laughed again. Due to the whip weapon Hauntruss' form was fluid like water and her form did not allow for halting in her movements. But, it was time to end this. Her other hand still swelling in the force suddenly flexed its fingers sending the force in a jaw like form that suddenly snapped at the padawans neck. The sudden weight of the force all over the neck began to squeeze the air right out of his throat.

Like a sadistic leash, Hauntruss raised her arm sending the leash to pick up the padawan. Only to then abruptly fling her arm down commanding the padawan to smacked into the stone floor and then tossed across the hall. Having discarded her opponent she spun around and summoned the remaining beast younglings she possessed. The miniature sith spawn stampeded to her position. Forming them into a shield to protect her movement and not delay her approach she felt through the force where the youngling she had sent to discover the location of the archives. Having located it, she hissed with venomous glee, "Now, we end this." Commanding her beasts to follow she leapt above the battle, soem younglinsg being pierced by blaster rounds as the dived to protect their dark master. Then removing the force into her lower body she speed across the temple hall and down the corridor to where she sensed the youngling.

[member="Hawke Katamirth"] [member="Zaren Bouqi"] [member="Darth Vornskr"] [member="Ryan Korr"] [member="Daella Apparine"]

As moved to catch the corridor she could see a line of Republic soldiers clogging the halls. "Itik jozi iv savimi!" She barked in the dark Sith tongue. The youngling beasts lept past her using their bodies as shields while other began to bite and tear at those that did not escape their wrathe. Like tools and stepping stones Hauntruss cruelly used two of the youngling beasts as steps to leap over their bodies flung aside as she jumped over them. Landing past the mess in the corridor she landed by the entrance of the archives, A dark skinned jedi and soem soldiers, plus one of her one were seen in the archives. Hauntruss' lip curled up and she growled in annoyance. "Insects begone from my path!" The force, in an evil mist spat out from her lips. The dark cloud drifted across the archives. This was a different Sith Curse, one that took material form in the shape of dark mist. The mist ate at the force, choking force wielders and limiting their powers. Hauntruss after spewing this vile curse, began to stroll across the archives. She could sense it! The Holocron was not to far away. The Jedi's attempts to conceal it was futile. The connection between her and the darkness within was too deep. She had meditated on it signature for months before her arrival. Nothing, nothing at least of the dark side could escape her senses.

"j'us galeji odacon sulig nun" - You cannot hide from me, she hissed in the Sith tongue, the tongue of dark magic. Hauntruss was close, this was the final stretch.

[Note: Just gonna speed this along so when I leave for vacation I don't drag out this process. Feel free to come at Hiss Hiss, I shall respond tonight as fast as I can. I will be taking my tablet with me on vacation, but then my response time will be way slower than it usually is. Apologies to Ki'an Karr, I cut our duel short. But I'm sure we will meet agian in the future. You are a great RPer.]

Zaren shook his head, he didn't understand how far the Sith in front of him would take this. Yes, she had the appearance. Even the timid little girl who didn't know what was happening and was confused, but she hadn't even bothered to conceal that dark sided nature that practically radiated off of her body.

"This isn't going to work." The Jedi Knight said to her from his position on the inside of the door. He was right beside once he had re-entered when [member="Hawke Katamirth"] had pulled her in. Diana was on the other side of the doorway as well, they were both in an ample position to strike the figure that was coming in, but he knew that Jedi Padawan Diana Vu Noi wouldn't raise a hand against the Sith.

She must be working for them then. She led them to the Archives!

Then the Sith simply went past them, and he frowned at that. Were they so irrelevant that she had to ignore them? That was good enough for the Protector of Tython. It just made his job a little bit easier.

Right hand clenching and two phrik blades being ejected from his wrist's gauntlet and into his open palm, he snapped his arm out towards [member="Darth Hauntruss"]'s back and both knives flew at her. The knives were pushed with the Force, even with the Force debilitating mist circling around to him. The first knife went towards the centre of her back with a practically unseen speed, between the shoulder blades. If it hit it would certainly throw her down to the floor and hopefully cripple her for the rest of the battle. Then, the second one that had flown from his hand had almost received that same blast of the Force to push it along, and was heading to the thigh of her right leg.

Vao used the advantage of confusion to rip himself out of the duel with Malphas. He moved across the main hall, eyes sweeping wide as he spotted Drast. There were two of him. The other was a doppleganger generated by the force. It was indistinguishable from himself. Even scanners or droids couldn't tell the difference. The duo raced towards Banshee. The two appeared to be identical twins if anything. One of the two stopped, raising his hand as stone shrapnel shot out towards Banshee, the other raced towards Drast, kneeling beside her with his lightsaber across his chest in a high-guard defensive stance of Niman. There was no telling who was the real Jora. The one beside Drast spoke to her, "I've got you." His gaze was kept on Banshee as he slipped his free arm under Drasts arms to raise her up. The other continued to utilise telekinetic assaults to barrage Banshee with a hail of stone rocks.

The dark mists choked her. It was difficult to breath in. It sapped away her reserves of The Force; what little she had. Fortunately Hawke didn't rely on it at all. She pushed with one gun gripped hand off the wall. "Wits about you men. Kill that Sith scum"! Hawke aimed down the iron sights of her slug throwers. Pre-primed to fire she unleashed hell in the form of ten millimeter bullets to aid Zaren's own knifes flying at Darth Hauntress' back.

As [member="Zaren Bouqi"] continued to put his attention upon “Diana,” [member="Darth Hauntruss"] had managed to push through the halls toward the Archives. A foul, dark mist saturated the air. “Diana” began to cough as if choking. Slowly, “Diana” stood lower and lower as she clutched her throat until she seemed to be on the ground. From Zaren and [member="Hawke Katamirth"]’s positions, it would have been difficult to see beyond a silhouette of “Diana” through the mist.

Then, Darth Hauntress rushed for the Archives. Zaren’s knives rushing for Darth Hauntress seemed to be on track. Yet, they took a ninety-degree turn into a wall midflight. It was the act of someone influencing the Force. A silhouette of something in a cloak and hood rose from the ground from where “Diana” was.

Following that, the shadow of some humanoid dashed toward a nearby holostack. It remained close to the ground as if taking off in a sprint from a low stance.

Two apparent targets through the fog presented themselves to the Republic's forces in that one moment - both a product of Daella's machinations.

Once the smoke had become too much to bear for the naked eye, he changed the setting of the optics he was using and soon he was seeing the heat signatures of other people. He took note of the Force being used, but from where he wasn't entirely sure except it was close to him. He heard the clatter of his knives and he grounded his teeth as he turned his head towards where [member="Daella Apparine"] had been.

She truly is one of them.

He looked around expecting to spot her, and then he did. A crouched form moving quickly towards the holostacks. His right hand snapped outwards from his body and again, despite the mist that dampened his force ability, the Force was released from his hand and he was aiming to bring down the shelves that were around 'Diana.'

You're not getting away that easily.

Taking long steps to lead into a sprint, he jumped into the air and put as much of the Force as he could into his leap and he had soon determined that he would b just ahead of the girl, and then he landed.
