Looking In All The Wrong Places (Hanna/Kamon)

Kamon had no idea that his long lost older sister, whom he hadn't seen in thirty four years, was standing at the entrance, watching him and the other Echani. He had no idea that Hanna was there. They weren't a threat to him and he was focused on the battle because one slip was life threatening. This was not a game of training sabers. This wasn't a game at all. He was having a conversation with a good warrior. A good one.

Sweat dripped from his brow as the man came at him. Kamon parried a strike. Twirling his blade, he parried another and then jabbed his weapon towards the mans head, stepping in towards him as he did so. The Echani dodged and moved to sweep Kamon's legs out from under him. He landed on his back, but flipped backwards and to his feet in time to plant the shaft of his weapon into the mans middle, stepping in to avoid being hit by a downward swing of the double brand, and sending his opponent to the ground in pain.
"A good fight, Lairn. Thank you."

Hanna shouted once they were done " Kamon!" somehow knowing that Kalia wouldn't bring attention to herself. " I have a suprise!" She said wondering if kamon would recognize her... if he would see that the woman next to her was his sister. She was nervous... curious and excited.. she had to refrain from going and hugging him, this was about Kamon. and Kalia. Hanna waited to see the reaction of both of them.. as she hid behind Kalia.

She could tell by the way her brother fought that in no way shape or form was he a weak little boy any more. He wasn't the same person she remembered all those years ago. He had certainly grown up into a fine man whom could obviously take care of himself. She recognized him but only because she could see their father in him. Kalia took a big deep breath as Hanna called out to Kamon. The Jedi Master wanted to say something to her brother but words escaped her so instead she just waved for now. She was pretty sure that she looked pretty stupid just standing there like an idiot in Jedi robes but for now but it was all she could muster up.

Funny enough not even standing in front of the Council unnerved her as much as this. She really cared what her brother thought and felt. Kalia just didn't want to be rejected and left out alone once again.bit had happened far too many times in her life and she couldn't bare the thought of it happening again.

Kamon nearly jumped out of his skin when Hanna yelled his name. In everything that had been going on, he hadn't been paying attention to his surroundings. That's how he hadn't felt Hanna and their little one. Spinning around, he looked at her with a smile.

"Hanna, you scared the-"

Mouth hung open. Words stopped. His eyes had gone to the woman standing behind her. Even though he hadn't seen her in thirty four years he would recognize her anywhere. The familiarity he felt towards her. Oh he'd searched and searched for her for years before giving up on ever finding her. He'd been looking out in the rim when he'd been imprisoned. But here she was.

He fell down to his knees, dropping the double brand. Tears rolled down his cheeks and he reached a hand out towards her.

"Kalia..."

Kalia had so far been doing a really good job at keeping herself pulled together and composed. She had always been taught to keep her emotions and bay not let others see you sweat. The moment Kamon turned around all of that had been forgotten as her eyes began to fill with tears which she was trying to keep in. They fell upon her cheek the moment he reached out to her and called her name. To here his voice again and to see him again was like a dream. She never expected to see him again and honestly she had begun to suspect he was dead. After all these years to find him again was surreal.

Wiping the tears which had begun to fall from her check she practically ran to where he was on his knees reaching for her. "I have missed you so much," she spoke as she fell to her knees herself and wrapped her arms around him in a big tight hug. Now that she found him she was not going lose him. No, she was not going to lose her brother again. "I thought I would never see you again," she cried hugging him tighter as if he may slip away from her. This really all seemed like a dream to her. This couldn't be really happening to her. Things like this never happened to her but it felt so real. Normally the Jedi Master had her emotions under control but well this was an extenuating circumstance.

Hanna smiled and jumped on the two with a wide hug, not saying anything, just glad to have reunited the two... she was so touched.. and she couldn't believe it. Of all the masters to throw up by, it was her.. his sister... She stayed with the two, embracing them, she loved kamon, and she was begining to really like Kalia, she just hoped she liked her... as Kamon's sister's opinion meant a lot to Hanna.. family did.. and she wanted to be liked by all of Kamon's family.

She came over to him and enveloped him in a hug and he immediately returned it, wrapping his arms around her. Tears flowed down his cheeks as he held her close to him. Oh how he'd missed his big sister, his protector, the person who was supposed to ensure that he grew up right, and kept Corbin from picking on him. Of course Corbin was gone as well.

"I looked for you. Looked and looked."

He leaned up and kissed her forehead and then gave Hanna a kiss as she joined them, still crying.

"All that's missing now are my children and Corbin. It would be perfect."

"Don't cry, your making me cry,"she cried trying to wipe some of the tears from his eyes. "I'm here now and I'm not going to leave. I have not seen Corbin in such a long time. We got separated after a year," she stated wiping the tears from her eyes now. She hadn't been able to find him either in all of her searching. They had so much catching up to do.

"Hanna found me or rather I found her and she brought me to you. We have a lot of catching up to do. I have missed so much. I want to know everything."She smiled giving him a hug again it was wonderful to see him again after all these years. Kalia wasn't going to miss anymore.

Letting go of him she turned to Hanna and gave her a hug. "Thank you, your like the sister I never had." She couldn't thank her enough for bringing her to her brother.

Hanna smiled and hugged Kalia, " your like the sister I never had!" She said crying her self, she was so happy to see them so happy. She smiled... " I know I promised I wouldn't see you in a week because our wedding is coming up... and I wanted it to be that much more special when I see you, but I figured this was worth it" Hanna was so glad to see Kamon and Kalia happy," So thats another suprise... we are getting married soon... within the week in fact." she said with a giant smile as she enjoyed her time with the two of them. " So you two have some catching up to do... so I will just listen!"

Lifting his hands, he wiped at his eyes as Kalia hugged Hanna. How incredible that the two of them would randomly meet. How incredible that she was still alive. He missed her. So much he'd missed his siblings. For a long time he'd felt lost and alone until he'd found the Echani and met his cousins. Their cousins. Now he had a home again, and now Kalia was here.

"There's so much you've missed, Kalia. So much..."

Wiping his eyes on his sleeve, he smiled at Hanna.

"Thank you. Thank you for bringing her here. There is nothing I can say to express how happy I am that you brought her to see me. I've missed her so much."

Reaching his hand over, he gave Hanna's arm a light squeeze. Then he turned back to his sister. For the moment he was lost as to where to start with everything. Where should he start? How should he start? He guessed, he'd start at the beginning.

"When we got separated, I ended up getting taken in by the Jedi. They taught me, but even then I was looking for you, asking them to help me find you. We never could, though. I trained and trained, and then discovered our Echani heritage and went to train here on Eshan as well. I got promoted, and then promoted again. I trained a young Witch from Dathomir, Satara, and she allowed me to bear children with her before I left for the outer rim.

"She and I have twins, created through the Force. Spencer and Aston Jacobs. They have mother's last name."

"You couldn't find me because I was picked up by smugglers. We slid under the radar for awhile doing what we needed to do to stay afloat. I traveled the galaxy with them until I was 21 and joined the Jedi. It was there idea not mine at first but I don't regret it. I did back than but I studied hard to get where I am today." She was leaving out a lot but what she supposed to tell him? He didn't want to know what they had done. "I'm still very close to them as they were all I had until now. I couldn't just say goodbye. You could say I know just as much about being a smuggler as being a Jedi which honestly has served me well. I'm surprised I have not seen you around the Temple as I was always traveling round and round. I thought someone would have picked up on the same last name thing by now. I had even said something to the council. Doesn't matter though your here now and I'm an aunt. Wow, this is nuts." She nodded and smiled. This whole thing was quite overwhelming and honestly she wasn't sure if anything she was saying made any coherent sense whatsoever.

"I'm a Jedi Master now too the same as you. I don't have any official title or anything. I just do what is needed around here train a lot of Padawans and try to stay out of trouble. I don't do anything to get into trouble though of course."

"I was on the council... I just left the Republic's service because my place is here with our people. What's left of our family is here, Kalia. We have cousins."

He reached out for Kalia's hands. Holding them told him that she was really there and that she wasn't going to leave him anytime soon. He didn't want her to go anywhere, not ever again. Before he knew it, he'd leaned forward to hug her once more. She sounded like she'd been through a lot, and they'd both had terrible timing and missed one another many times. That was the luck of the Force.

"You should stay here, Kalia. I don't want you to go again. You can still train people. Just... don't leave me again now that you're back. I can't bare the thought of losing you all over again."

"I'm not going anywhere now that I found you. I don't want to lose you again. You should know I have a second family though my smuggler family whom I do keep in contact with because they do mean a lot to me. I love them all so much and honestly they really can do no wrong in my eyes. I may have to introduce you one day but for now know if I do go I shall be back. You can't expect me just to sit on my butt on one planet of course." She figured he didn't but thought she ought to tell him. Letting go of him she stood up and reached her hand down for him to grab.

"We look like idiots on the floor. We should really pick ourselves up and be more composed than this. We are Jedi Masters after all. I don't know where my place is yet. I'm still trying to figure that out and now that I found you I'm even more confused," she laughed a little. "You ought to show me around. I have never been here."

He nodded at what she said about a smuggler family, and rubbed his eyes on his sleeve.

"That's fine, Kalia. My daughter is a Dark Jedi. I can accept most anything as long as I don't lose my family."

When she stood he was reluctant to let her go, but he did so anyway. She offered her hand, and he reached to take it, standing with her. He stepped closer to her and looked her over. A beautiful woman stood before him. Surely many men had their eye on her. He wished he could be the one to vet them, but he knew she wouldn't like such a thing. She would want to do things herself.

"Show you around... What do you want to see? I could take you to see where dad was born."

"Good cause your sister happens to be a smuggler too," she grinned and laughed a little. It wasn't true of course as the thought of that by itself was a little crazy. She was a Jedi of course the only smuggler things she had were skills which she found very useful from time to time. It was funny to her though to bring it up because it was something that weighed on her mind from time to time. Kalia had struggled from time to time as to which path she ought to take but in the end she stuck with the Jedi as she believed it was the place for her.

"Sounds good, lets go! I want to see everything." She was trying to take control of her emotions once again. Kalia did not want to end up bursting into tears again on him. It was hard but for now she was keeping herself pulled together.

"You might want to bundle up some. It's cold out."

He walked towards the door to the room and grabbed his tunic off the wall. Pulling it on, he grabbed his cloak next and pulled it around his shoulders before he turned and offered his hands to his sister and Hanna both. He wasn't leaving behind his fiance in all of this. Kalia might be his sister, but Hanna had his child growing within her womb, and leaving her behind wasn't an option.

"Come. Let's go see where father was from."

Hanna smiled and put on a coat.. one that she noticted didn't fit as well, damn she thought... it was starting.... Hanna gave Kalia a hug before She took his hand and smiled getting close to him. " I love that you two have found each other." She still couldn't believe that she had found Kamon's sister and all. Then she waited to follow kamon to where their father was born. " So your father was echani and your mother corelllian?" Hanna was just on the verge of crying as kalia was, infact if she did.. hanna was pretty sure she would. It must of been her hormones.

"I'm really happy that we all have each other. We are family now and what I have learned is family always sticks together no matter what." She wasn't as close to her brother as the guys she hung out with as a teen but he was still her brother. All of this would just take time to get used to.

Grabbing her coat she follow along with the tour! "I think so but I honestly am not so sure it's been such a long time. I have not really read about my family history much which is bad I know but I guess I was doing other things. Family history is now on the list though."

Kamon led them along through the facility and out into the cold.

"Father was an Echani. He moved to Corellia, where mother was from. They married and we came of that."

It was frigid. By this point he was getting used to it, though, and actually kind of liked it. The cold was something new for him, having been on moderately warmer worlds before coming to Eshan. They trudged along and he pulled Hanna closer to him so that he could make sure she was warm enough. After all, she was carrying a little one within her womb.

"We just need to find Corbin now, Kalia. When did you last see him?"

"The last I saw of him was gosh a year after I lost you. We were ambushed by pirates I think or another group of smugglers and they took him. I'm not sure what they would want with a kid we were only ten years old. They almost had me as well but Zak was able to throw me to the sidelines before they could. I remember being shoved in a compartment. I wouldn't even know where to begin looking but we did look everywhere."

She was used to the cold weather after all the time she spent in space plus the worlds she trained at were not exactly the warmest places ever. This place suited her just fine but Kalia knew she couldn't stay here as her place was elsewhere in the galaxy. She at least knew her brother was safe and she could visit. "I don't know much about our history Kamon. You should teach me more. I guess maybe the ways of our heritage." Sure she could learn on her own but she rather spend time with her brother after all these years.
