"Vespera, The Evening Star and the Wraith of Corellia" She whispered them back they were noble names full of meaning, she wondered who had bestowed them on him and what he had done to earn them. She was unfamiliar with them but she would try to find them when she got home.
She looked into the room it was true people like this who had no regard except for themselves they may have at one time been someone like Andorreth they may have been someone that had their moment of decision and with no one to provide positive support to help them they spiraled downwards. Or they just chose to do this because it was easier. It was hard to know.
It was a lot to think about in a few short minutes. Claire walked through the gas it formed a gray fog that hid their movements and knocked the others out to the floor.
She watched and learned as they moved, things she had not thought of because she had never had to do it. "So that's how to do it" She arched a brow thinking about the number of holo shows she watched who had performed actions similar, she just thought it was good entertainment. She laughed, life was certainly imitating art and she loved it. As scary as this could be it was living.
The lightsaber caught her completely off guard it was a beautiful color it reminded her of the oceans of Spira. "Beautiful" He turned and answered her question, "every effective" she replied. She inched to the door and tried to move it grunting slightly with effort. "Wow, no one is coming out" She turned smiling, "definitely effective"
She cringed as she listened to the Captain speak, yes diplomats they were food for rancors of the galaxy, and yes her ship should have been better prepared. She shook her head and cast her gaze to the floor knowing he had a point. She'd have to give her ship some teeth it was a realization that left Claire feeling cold.
She looked back up pushing her hair back as Andorreth spoke he showed his eyes to her perhaps to indicate his seriousness for her to understand he was more than she knew. She looked into his eyes holding his gaze for a few brief moments would admit that even with a hardness in them they were beautiful reminding her of the Glarus Valley at home funny how some thoughts just pop in at the oddest of moments. She nodded he reacted quickly to the Captain was it habit, or need. It didn't matter really not right now, and not in these circumstances. "You did great Andorreth no complaints from me"
She needed to move. She reached over gently lifting the filter and putting it back in place, "we should keep moving" Claire moved along the hall keeping her back to the wall as she had been taught, smaller targets are harder to hit. Two men stepped into the hall from another room she stopped and now without hesitation she pulled her weapon and shot them both. The look on their faces priceless as they crumpled to the floor. She looked to the LT, "tie them up stuff them back into the room and seal it" She smiled at Andorreth, wanting to say I learn quickly. But before she moved past the room Claire looked into it no one there it was just an empty, pale gray room bathed in muted yellow light. What were they doing in there? Maybe once they had the ship she'd look further into it for now she moved down the hall cautiously in short half steps to keep quiet.
She could hear clicking like a knob turning one by one. There were two rooms ahead across from each other the muted light slipped into the hall creating a singular spot where darkness and shadows could not exist. There were murmurs, "keep going" "I know it's around here" she looked to Andorreth, she pointed to herself and then a room, then pointed to him and the other room. She wasn't fast enough to take out two rooms, but together they could. She held her breath...
They were getting closer to their objective and she wondered how the Captain and his team were doing.
On the other side of the ship -
The Captain and his team were working efficiently they split the halls half on one side half on the other. Their stealth complimented by their use of hand signals to alert them to dangers ahead. The crew had quarters on their side here and there, Captain just stunned them into silence and let the others bind and gag.
They were stopped in the hall listening to a conversation, they couldn't see who spoke they could only hear what was said. The Captain didn't trust himself to look concerned that his ire would bubble and he'd shoot them both.
"They say it's the Queen of Alderaan's Cousin, Claire Treadway Organa. The First Order, the Coalition, the Galactic Alliance, and maybe the Mando would help to pay a ransom for her. OR there are plenty of Hutt's that would pay a hefty price to put an Organa on a chain again." The pair shared their laughter at the thought.
"We just need to know her schedule, it's doable and it will make us a comfortable then we can get off this junk heap"
There was a loud sigh from one of the men but what gave the Captain pause was the next voice was that of a woman, "we need to be cautious, now isn't the time. Our time will come we can make House Organa suffer. This is just the first of what's to come. If you see her, rough her up, don't break anything. We will have our time, we'll get her when she least expects it, when House Organa least expects it." There was a muffled sound and then silence.
The Captain could take it no longer he stepped into the doorway of the room, it was empty. The occupants had gone through another door. "feth" His men looked at him, "We will inform the Queen when we reach home but say nothing to the Ambassador." He could see they were uncertain about keeping something from Claire he knew he had to say something to earn their silence.
"It's for her own protection, you know how she is, and she'll worry about it. We need to take this ship and look for a woman among the prisoners. We'll get some answers." The small group of men nodded in agreement now bound by this secret and an urgency to clear the ship they moved quicker.
