Lost in Space (complete)

She climbed down clearing the way making sure that everything was ready to go, she looked up hearing all the noise set off by the well whatever it was he had set off. She was moving into the pilots seat as she listened to what he said about how to take the ship.

She was nervous, excited, and determined all at once. She nodded as she took in the details, nothing he said talked about leaving them for dead. That she liked a lot. "If we take the ship it means it slows them down for a bit right. But it could come back on us, they could decide on exacting a little pay back."

Claire had to consider the options and the plan, infiltrate the ship, take out the crew, take over and get out of the quadrant.

She sighed she did not need to look back to know he was easing down inside the ship. "Seal the lid and...." decision time... "let's see if we can take their ship from them. Teach them a few manners. Do you want me to head for their ship, or yours..." They would likely need some supplies because all the things he talked about, she didn't have.

She was going to have to resupply his ship that much was a given.

"Andorreth do you do this often?" He had sounded so sure when he spoke she just couldn't help but wonder.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

Closing the hatch I watched as Claire seemlessly took the controls. "My ship first, you can ensure your people are safe and ask if any would like to take the ship of the brigands who attacked you. Anything you need from the armory is yours anyways Ms. Organa, I have the tendency of picking up new toys frequently so whoever wants to join you would be perfect." Suddenly she asked if I did this often, smiling I looked at her and said "When the need arises I do. After getting things squared with false murder charges and information leading to who it was I won't have to steal my weapons and munitions stockpiles from criminals so there's that."

Looking at her I popped the seal on my helmet and shook out my long hair "Though to be entirely honest I've always been a fan of doing crazy things. I boarded your vessel by doing an EVA infiltration. My armor has a thrust pack and micro-thrustes I can trigger. I basically launched myself towards you ship and maneuvered through the debris field. That was....relatively tame though as compared to what I normally do...When we land aboard my ship in the hangar bay you'll get to see your people. Whoever wants to join you and me in retaking the ship can rejoin me down by the armory I'll have a droid escort you and anyone else there." Looking at the comm I activated it and said "Rogue's Salvation this is Andorreth open the hangar bay with atmospheric shielding raised. We're coming in aboard a shuttle with the ambassador."

[member="Claire Organa"]

She nodded an acknowledgement to go to his ship as she made sure the ship was ready. There was the sound of the clamps releasing the ship from its berth, the slight drop as Claire ignited the engines, then the push forward they were free of the ship.

Claire looked up to see the belly of the transport as they pulled further away Claire turned the ship to head towards the Rogues Salvation. She could not resist this one thing she turned the ship so she could see the transport fully. What demons they must be she thought as she looked at the hole in the side of their ship. If it had not been for the shielding.

She could now feel the anger pooling in her belly. She wanted them to pay in some way and taking their ship was a minor thing. Leaving them stranded as they intended for her, or worse was small consolation. She turned again now wasting no time she picked up speed to get them to Andorreth's ship. The words that she wanted to say didn't come out. Feth.

The Courier ship handled easily she had been schooled about it numerous times just for occasions like this. It was a sense of power to feel the vibration of the ships as it hummed as it moved towards the other ship. Claire could say the hangar bay a welcome sanctuary for her people in the darkness of space. Thank the goddess for them.

As they made their final approach Claire was finally able to speak, "I will want to see my people first Andorreth, make sure they are ok." Her voice was soft nothing harsh to show how upset she was, unless someone noticed that she was balling her hands into fists squeezing tightly to drain away some of the vengeance she felt. "I"m sure whatever toys you have in the armory will help us accomplish the goal efficiently, feth. That's nice of you to offer your armory to contents to me. I just want something that will..." her breathing had picked up. Her anger was bubbling up again.

"I just want to..." she closed her eyes and counted, when she got to three she opened them again, "teach them a lesson." She really wanted to blow them up let debris be from her to Alderaan. Pirates.

With a few adjustments, Claire had them inside the hangar ready to land. Already she could see some of her people, relief washed over her as she smiled. "My crew" They were safe...she could cry.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

Nodding towards Claire as we landed and before she saw to her crew I said "Claire...do you truly want them stranded aboard your ship? Or do you actually want them dead? With the tools I have in my armory we could do both but if you tell me cleanly retaking the ship then I'l be equipping you and your people for stealth and stun weapons primarily. If you are out for blood then I'll be setting you and your people up with entirely different gear and weapons. See to your people Claire, when you've decided on how you want to take their ship come find me in the armory."

With that I popped the seal to the shuttle Claire had piloted with a great degree of skill no less. Then I silently made my way through the crowd of Claire's people towards the lower deck access hatch. Popping the seal I slid down the access hatch and made my way to the armory to restock my ammo and weapons while I waited for Claire...

She looked at him was he reading her mind, or reading her body language she didn't know. She looked down when he asked her what she really wanted. Her insides were twisting in indecision over what she wanted to do and what was the politically correct thing to do.

She looked at the faces of her crew all showed relief that they were together. A smile spread to her lips relieved that they were all there and alright. She stood a little taller trying to appear confident and poised. She thought about the spouses and children of her crew, she knew them, cared about them and someone had tried to take it.

She noticed he had started calling her Claire rather than m'lady, or Ambassador. She would admit it sounded better than the titles. Titles could be uncomfortable and they definitely gave the impression of particular behaviors. Countess Claire Organa would run from this hide behind the walls of her home and pray for peace. Ambassador Claire Organa would look for the politically correct action. But Claire Treadway, who she had been born, the Claire who had lived on the streets scrambling over scraps and living space. THAT Claire wanted their heads, her motto mess with mine I take yours.

She looked at the crew again she needed to get them home with their heads held high she looked at [member="Andorreth Vikar"] as he left her to make her decision. He certainly knew how to throw a monkey wrench in things.

She walked towards the group, they began to talk quickly to one another. A lot of head nodding, and shaking with Claire standing there listening. Then she explained the situation. "Madam we are Alderaani we believe in peace."

Claire nodded, "I know I'm just tired of everyone thinking that because we are peaceful that they get to run all over us. Don't we ever get to fight back once?"

The Captain stepped closer, "Mam I've seen war, here's what I think. Take the ship, if they come at you with deadly force, we go at them equally." He nodded.

Claire with 5 of her crew walked towards the Armory.

She looked at Andorreth, "we've talked it over at great length. We have decided that a stronger message should be sent to anyone who decides to attack a vessel of Alderaan." It had been a discussion of ethics, culture, and policy but in the end everyone wanted to go home, and keep the safety of the galaxy. "No one here believes that killing is an answer. I...am reacting out of fear. What they could have done, what they might have done, what they've done is destroyed my ship and made accusations. We don't kill over that."

Claire might have but cooler heads must prevail.

"So..Andorreth, we are ready for the next step." He would know how to arm them.

Looking at Claire, then to her people I nodded. "We'll need weapons that are set for stunning and non-violence then. That being said Claire I will not simply be giving you stun weapons, anything I give you or your people will be able to wound or kill if need be. I'll abide by your philosophies and practices so long as none of your people suffer serious injury. Keep in mind we'll be armed foremost to be quiet and non-lethal. These people we're going after believe and act with lethal force, I want everyone to understand that...." With my explanation out of the way I gestured for them all to follow me.

I led the way to several crates of modified blasters, DC-15m blasters. "These are DC-15m Blaster rifles, compact enough to move through hallways and able to be fitted with a grenade launcher attachment. Obviously you want peaceful or as peaceful as we can be so the grenades you'll be taking with you will be for knockout gas and electrical stun grenades. The blasters will be set to fire only stun bolts until you choose to engage the lethal mode. Picking one up I pointed to the handle by the trigger and said red is dead, blue is for black and blue. Alive but waking up with a massive headache similar to a night of drinking."

Pointing towards another crate I said "stun batons same idea with those, and in that box as well is a group of blaster pistols with flash suppressors set and locked to stun mode. Mainly for police forces that prefer non-lethal weapons, these are what you all will work with. I'll pack your grenade belts with non-lethal grenades. For now grab what you need from the crates I mentioned...." Looking at Claire I met her gaze and once more silently moved away to a secluded corner where I kept the explosives. Grabbing several ammo belts I made sure they could magnetize the grenades against the belts then simply kicked off the lid of the box containing non-lethal grenades.

Sitting on a squarish cushioned seat I simply grabbed a handful of gas grenades and electrical pulse grenades and began fitting them into slots on the belts. When I'd finished with one I magnetized the grenades against it then laid it on the ground in front of me. Rinse and repeat...I tapped the datapad on my left forearm and brought the technical schematics up of the ship we'd be taking. The sensor grid would have to be knocked offline before we boarded...Feeding that target into the gunning program Crosswire had set up I began looking for tactical advantages aboard. We could slice into the ships systems and reverse the gravity but I was used to it Claire's people likely weren't. I had ensured the grenade belts had the stealth systems Claire and I had used aboard her ship the last thing we needed was for the ships' crew to spot us and start firing at us all.

After a set of five grenade belts had been loaded and locked I pulled another crate out and re-stocked my own ammo. The trip mines I'd used aboard Claire's ship mostly. I also ensured my Omen rifle was re-stocked with power cells, locking it against my right thigh plate I grabbed my crossbow and two high capacity cylinders of bolts loaded for non-lethal and silent missions. Locking those cylinders against my left hip I collapsed the bow down and locked it against my left thigh. I halfway expected Claire to come and approach me but so far I hadn't seen her make any move towards me. It was fair I supposed I mean to her I had saved her and her people but I was still basically just a mercenary. One with a conscience to be sure, but it wasn't likely she'd ever be inviting an exiled Corellian noble who did mercenary work to any kind of peace summit or fancy gathering. I guessed I fit in more as an exile than I did as a noble...

She knew she would never remember all of what he said. But she gave him a small smile when he said that they would have the ability to meet deadly threat. Again she thought he was reading her mind on what she wanted to do, course she didn't care act on it. She turned and looked at her people, her crew they were a product of their culture. She couldn't blame them or fault them for their decision.

She motioned for everyone to do what [member="Andorreth Vikar"] said as she turned to talk to him he had walked away intent upon the task he set for himself. "Mam" Claire turned, "yes I'm coming" She went to peer into the crates she would take one of the DC-15m blaster rifles she pondered the grenade launcher. She looked to the Captain, "make sure we are outfitted properly wide diversity, just in case." Red is dead. She repeated it to herself trying not to focus on one little flip of a switch and done.

She looked back to Andorreth she really couldn't just take advantage of his good nature to help. She excused herself from the group not realizing the Captain watched her walk towards their host. She had said a lot of things already to him but something perhaps more personal was warranted.

She stood silent for a moment, "I don't think thank you is really going to be enough for what you are doing. I mean you are risking your life, this ship, your friends all to help some stranger." While he didn't really look like the type to be sitting around the Mountain Palace with his pinky out holding polite conversation she thought he could come to Alderaan for any number of reason.

Wearing his armor he would fit in with Draco's clans, and Clan Ordo he wouldn't stick out at all. "Maybe you'll come to Alderaan some time and let me show some gratitude and pay you for all the supplies we are depleting. There's lots to do there if you're into, hiking in the mountains, skiing in the higher elevations, jungle, lakes...if you want that is. " He wasn't any different than any of the others she had met in her life.

"Something to think about...my way of saying thank you....and maybe who knows I can raise you from an 8 to maybe a 9.." she smiled shrugged her shoulders and started walking backwards towards the group.

"We'll be ready in a few minutes...to go kick pirate butt." It was a serious matter though.

The Captain looked away embarassed that he had been so intent upon monitoring the Ambassador's behavior.

The Alderaani crew armed themselves with grenades an blasters ready to take on the galaxy. Looking anxiously at Andorreth.

Glancing at the Alderani crew I saw Claire approach me. As she mentioned visiting Alderaan some time I smiled and inclining my head said "I just might at that Claire. Though probably after I get things cleared up on Corellia... I'd already like to think I'm a 10 after today though." After giving her a wink I ensured my gear was secured and headed to the airlock by the armory. Ensuring that everyone had EVA suits that were armored I made a note to pick up another set of them the next time I had the chance. Looking at Claire I said "Everyone behind me and the Lady Ambassador if you please."

Leading the way to the airlock I knelt and looking at Claire I gestured at a point directly to my right. Then I said, "Everyone else in a V-formation behind us. Grab an ear comm plug em' into your skull holes and everyone follow my movements explicitly. Helmets on if you please..." Pulling my helmet from my chest-plate I secured it on and looked at Claire, winked at her and flicked the filter back over my helmet. The new black color flicked into place and the mask image flicked into place with the smiling face of a revolutionary in bronze accents.

Looking at Claire I tilted my head to the side slightly and touched two fingers to my left eyebrow on my helmet then activated the airlock sealing the chamber. Pressurizing the chamber I touched the datapad on my left forearm activating the firing sequence for the ion weapons. Priming the airlock for explosive decompression I looked at Claire and triggered the decompression as we were all launched towards the enemy vessel. My hand was no longer over the firing button on my datapad I activated the comms. "A'ight y'all, time for fireworks...."

Blinking I triggered the command for my ship to fire Ion cannons at the sensor grid. The energy blasts hit the ship as we rocketed towards it and looking towards Claire I said over the comms "All your EVA suits are equipped with thrust packs and micro-thrust jets. Trigger them 80 meters from the ship to begin slowing your speed, cut the thrusters at 20 meters and let your momentum carry you the rest of the way. As soon as you hit the hull plating engage your magnetic locks on your boots." This is where the fun began....

She smiled self confidence was not a bad thing and she had to admit that anyone that would do as much as he was doing for her and the crew yeah that would make him a 10, but she wasn't ready to tell him that. She just smiled and moved back to her staff and crew.

There was something else she knew that she couldn't say anything about right now. The Coalition was going to be doing talks with the Metal Lords about Corellia when she didn't know but she knew it was soon. However she was unable to say anything about it.

Claire wanted to tell him right then that the Coalition was going to Corellia. She wanted to mention that she would find this brillian lawyer who had helped her out with a minor thing [member="Brad Solo"] . She planned on approaching Brad about helping Andorreth with the problem of clearing his name. It was the very least she could do. Claire thought of things to say but it would have sounded like babbling just then, she figured best to leave it alone.

Everyone looked ready, anxious and raring to go. Claire could feel her own mynocks flying about bumping into the sides of her stomach. Right now though Claire needed to follow and watch out for everyone with her. She stood there feeling her nerves jumping about when Andorreth knelt and pointed to where she needed to be. She kept thinking 'I am out of my element I know enough to just be dangerous'. Shaking her head she knew that this wasn't the same as being chased by gangs on Balmorra. No this was different.

She kept watching everyone when she noticed he was looking at her just one of those short glances back with a wink which made her blush. She could feel the heat in her cheeks burning red. Why? It was just a wink. Geez she told herself get a grip.

Emotion started flooding her brain 'I'm scared' she thought '. Just because the main intent from our side is not to kill doesn't mean we won't be met by a volley that puts holes in all of us. This may have been a mistake but it was too late now, we were all committed.' Claire knew she had to focus.

"80 meters, then 20, ok" She repeated to make sure she got it. She certainly didn't want to go splat against the hull of the ship. She could see the headline, 'Contessa CEO flattened by pirate vessel, news at 10' wouldn't some of her clients find that funny.

The moments were ticking by though 80 meters came quick, she hit the controls and felt a subtle shift. 'Ok not bad. ok..I can do this.' She was watching the gauge to know when she was at 20 meters. A flip of a finger and the thrusters were off she was floating towards the ship. "wow. This feels amazing I wish I had more time to look around." She started breathing somewhere near normal lifting her hands to where she could hug the ship when close enough.

She hit the hull a bit harder than expected. She was certain she looked like a bug on a windshield resting her head against the hull she tried really hard not to laugh however she regained her senses enough to turn on the boots to keep from floating away. She heard the boots and felt them grab the hull, 'wow now I'm really out here, I'm really standing on hull of the ship.' It was safe to let go of the hull now.

Claire looked over at Andorreth big cheese eating grin on her face, but she was making sure he was alright and then looked around for the others no one had missed. So far we could all follow directions.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

I'd tracked Claire's movement along with her crew as we'd weaved through to the enemy vessel. Her landing had been a bit awkward and she actually had hit the hull along with her people first. I'd seen on my scans their mag-boots had locked onto the hull, I was still rushing towards the hull. I'd given them specific parameters to follow for a reason because I was more experienced in EVA maneuvers. As it was I kept speeding towards the hull at dangerous speeds and had only a second to activate my thrust pack and micro-thrust jets when I'd hit 10 meters. Triggering them all at once I hit the hull with an abrupt stop engaging my mag-boots as soon as they touched the hull. Glancing over at Claire I said "Now that my showiness is out of the way how about we make an entrance?"

With that I began making my way to an airlock and after unlatching the locking mechanism for the airlock. After unlocking it I gestured for the people in our party to hop inside the chamber. Having done so I sealed the airlock and pressurized it , then I began the boarding sequence. After a few seconds I saw a green light flick on and the inner doors open allowing us inside the enemy vessel. Looking towards Claire I said "You and me on one team m'lady, along with whoever you want to accompany us. The rest of your people should split off into a separate team. We'll need to engage the crew quickly and silently, Ms. Organa then we can move them to escape pods or shuttles. I'll wait for you to decide who you want to bring along, then we can move from there."

Unlocking my weapons I pulled my Omen blaster rifle free and charged the power cells while still keeping it in stun mode. Suddenly one of the brigands came around a corner and saw us. Rolling forward I pulled my blaster pistol in stun mode and shot him twice in the chest. Looking towards Claire I shrugged and dragged the unconscious body towards a hidden alcove and tearing a strip of cloth form his shirt. Stuffing it in his mouth I slapped stun cuffs on his wrists and hooked him to piping so he'd have massive problems getting free. Looking towards Claire I shrugged and gestured for the stealth modules on the belts. Then I pointed towards her crew and said "Make sure they're unseen Claire...." Then I went back to waiting for Claire to finish up...

[member="Claire Organa"]

They were on board and the task that was before them was getting ready to begin. Claire smirked his showiness yes he did land much better than she matter of fact it seemed everyone had the hang of landing. She would need practice for just in case there was another time something like this happened.

Up on the bridge of the ship a red light began to blink indicating the airlock had been opened even though they did not blast their way in. A pair of obsidian eyes looked at the blinking light as soon as it went off he thought about should he tell the Captain. The Captain paced and stared at the floating hulk of what remained of the Alderaani vessel. If one of the crew had returned Micah did not wish to alert the Captain and earn his ire again. Instead he focused on the rest of the ship. They were expecting something to happen but so far it was quiet..too quiet.

Claire was coming through the airlock with Lt. Hyl the others were forming on the Captain. She looked over at them all they were ready she still felt apprehensive. but looking at the LT and then to Andorreth nodding that she was ready to go. There was a hum shots fired the first of the pirates lay on the deck stunned into silence.

She hesitated for a moment then moved to the Captain showing them all how to use the stealth tech that had been graciously given, "Remember silence, stun, unless deadly force is given, bind them. Work the starboard side of the ship while we take the port." She nodded again as if dismissing them. She walked back towards Hyl showing him what to do.

She kept the scattergun that she had brought from her ship. It was something she was familiar with and she had the blaster, plus the grenades she looked like she was prepared for war.

"Ok, let's go before too many of them realize we are here."

Meanwhile on the bridge the Captain was growing anxious, "Get everyone to check in...let's see how many are left."

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

As we boarded Claire gave orders to her crew and I waited for her to rejoin me and the others in our group. Once she had I began moving towards the armory on this deck. Popping in through the door I pulled a thin strand of wire and rigged two gas charges to begin dispersing immediately after the line was pulled fully. Placing two charges on the lockers I rejoined Claire and her man as we worked our way further into the ship. We'd been lucky so far but our luck suddenly changed when we came across a crew bunk and chow hall area...even with stealth generators there was no way we'd be able to sneak through these areas. Too much foot traffic, looking towards Claire I said "There's too much foot traffic here for us to get through without bumping into someone. I suggest gassing the whole room then moving through. Any problems with that idea Ms. Organa?"

[member="Claire Organa"]

Gas the room? What did she care? "Sure gas em maybe it will at least give them a headache." That was the most minor thing that they could get. She looked around she pulled a grenade from her belt looking over at [member="Andorreth Vikar"], "I can do this..gas them that is. " The grenade would blow them up she didn't really want to do that, they were too close to the action and her people and Andorreth could suffer from it.

She smiled she had an idea to catch them all off guard and put them to sleep she afterall was protected right? She turned to the LT, handing him the grenade, "don't lose this." She turned back to Andorreth, did people call him Andy? "Do they call you anything besides Andorreth?" She then pulled the grenades with the knockout gas.

She then turned to enter the chow hall, she wanted a good look at the men who had come after the ship and her people. She wanted to see their eyes, their faces what kind of men attacked a ship on a mission of peace. She stepped and stood silent looking at the men. They looked like people that she met every day, nothing that said pirate, assassin, or letch. A few had pockmarks on their faces, a few missing teeth, they roared with laughter at something someone said Claire stood there. It bothered her that they looked like people she would trust. She shook her head pulled the pins, stooped down and rolled the grenades.

Smoke began to pour forth, that stinging sensation on their skin as soon as they began to breath in, Claire stood and walked out hitting the door to close it. She looked at Andorreth and the LT she had nothing to say. "How do we lock them in?"

The crew in the mess hall were already running to the door banging on it to be let out, but it only took a few breaths of the gas and they began to slowly slide down to the floor in little heaps leaving silence behind.

Just about that time the announcement came over for all hands to check in Claire felt a bit of panic rise up her heart began to pump hard soon enough the Captain of the ship would know they were on board.

She bit her lip, they needed to keep moving...she waited but briefly they needed to get to the bridge and take control.

"I went by two names a few years back Ms. Organa, I believe your Lt. may know of one. I was known as both Vespera, the evening star and The Wraith of Corellia. Neither were names that people like these cared to hear mind you." Moving through the gas in our EVA suits and armor we crossed to the other side of the chow hall. Picking up a radio off one of the crewman I scanned ID's with my HUD as we moved through the chow hall. Claire asked how we'd seal them in the chow hall, looking back at her as the door sealed behind her and the Lt. I pulled my pistol flicked it to dead and shot the door controls three times in rapid succession. Using The Force I pulled the aqua saber from a hidden thigh plate on my left leg and activating it with a snap-hiss I quickly welded the metal seams of the door together. De-activating the saber I slid in back into place and looked back to Claire.

"That answer your question of how we get them to sit tight Ms. Organa?" Suddenly there was a call to check in for the crew Claire cut her eyes back to me in what looked like panic. Grabbing the radio I looked through the list of crew names in the chow hall, Selecting one of the crew names I said "Lucian here captain, oh man Toombs just told this hilarious joke. Rest of the crew down here is working out some......agressiveness with each other." I paused for a moment and waited "Toombs' jokes are ALL bad. As for the crew fine make sure they keep some for the next victims these diplomats make such easy targets, all classy vessels with no teeth. Captain Harkin out."

Looking towards Claire I dropped the filter on my mask and let her see my eyes. "Never let it be said that I can't improvise on the fly and lie convincingly Ms. Organa." Gesturing for Claire to continue on I waited for her lead...

[member="Claire Organa"]

"Vespera, The Evening Star and the Wraith of Corellia" She whispered them back they were noble names full of meaning, she wondered who had bestowed them on him and what he had done to earn them. She was unfamiliar with them but she would try to find them when she got home.

She looked into the room it was true people like this who had no regard except for themselves they may have at one time been someone like Andorreth they may have been someone that had their moment of decision and with no one to provide positive support to help them they spiraled downwards. Or they just chose to do this because it was easier. It was hard to know.

It was a lot to think about in a few short minutes. Claire walked through the gas it formed a gray fog that hid their movements and knocked the others out to the floor.

She watched and learned as they moved, things she had not thought of because she had never had to do it. "So that's how to do it" She arched a brow thinking about the number of holo shows she watched who had performed actions similar, she just thought it was good entertainment. She laughed, life was certainly imitating art and she loved it. As scary as this could be it was living.

The lightsaber caught her completely off guard it was a beautiful color it reminded her of the oceans of Spira. "Beautiful" He turned and answered her question, "every effective" she replied. She inched to the door and tried to move it grunting slightly with effort. "Wow, no one is coming out" She turned smiling, "definitely effective"

She cringed as she listened to the Captain speak, yes diplomats they were food for rancors of the galaxy, and yes her ship should have been better prepared. She shook her head and cast her gaze to the floor knowing he had a point. She'd have to give her ship some teeth it was a realization that left Claire feeling cold.

She looked back up pushing her hair back as Andorreth spoke he showed his eyes to her perhaps to indicate his seriousness for her to understand he was more than she knew. She looked into his eyes holding his gaze for a few brief moments would admit that even with a hardness in them they were beautiful reminding her of the Glarus Valley at home funny how some thoughts just pop in at the oddest of moments. She nodded he reacted quickly to the Captain was it habit, or need. It didn't matter really not right now, and not in these circumstances. "You did great Andorreth no complaints from me"

She needed to move. She reached over gently lifting the filter and putting it back in place, "we should keep moving" Claire moved along the hall keeping her back to the wall as she had been taught, smaller targets are harder to hit. Two men stepped into the hall from another room she stopped and now without hesitation she pulled her weapon and shot them both. The look on their faces priceless as they crumpled to the floor. She looked to the LT, "tie them up stuff them back into the room and seal it" She smiled at Andorreth, wanting to say I learn quickly. But before she moved past the room Claire looked into it no one there it was just an empty, pale gray room bathed in muted yellow light. What were they doing in there? Maybe once they had the ship she'd look further into it for now she moved down the hall cautiously in short half steps to keep quiet.

She could hear clicking like a knob turning one by one. There were two rooms ahead across from each other the muted light slipped into the hall creating a singular spot where darkness and shadows could not exist. There were murmurs, "keep going" "I know it's around here" she looked to Andorreth, she pointed to herself and then a room, then pointed to him and the other room. She wasn't fast enough to take out two rooms, but together they could. She held her breath...

They were getting closer to their objective and she wondered how the Captain and his team were doing.

On the other side of the ship -

The Captain and his team were working efficiently they split the halls half on one side half on the other. Their stealth complimented by their use of hand signals to alert them to dangers ahead. The crew had quarters on their side here and there, Captain just stunned them into silence and let the others bind and gag.

They were stopped in the hall listening to a conversation, they couldn't see who spoke they could only hear what was said. The Captain didn't trust himself to look concerned that his ire would bubble and he'd shoot them both.

"They say it's the Queen of Alderaan's Cousin, Claire Treadway Organa. The First Order, the Coalition, the Galactic Alliance, and maybe the Mando would help to pay a ransom for her. OR there are plenty of Hutt's that would pay a hefty price to put an Organa on a chain again." The pair shared their laughter at the thought.

"We just need to know her schedule, it's doable and it will make us a comfortable then we can get off this junk heap"

There was a loud sigh from one of the men but what gave the Captain pause was the next voice was that of a woman, "we need to be cautious, now isn't the time. Our time will come we can make House Organa suffer. This is just the first of what's to come. If you see her, rough her up, don't break anything. We will have our time, we'll get her when she least expects it, when House Organa least expects it." There was a muffled sound and then silence.

The Captain could take it no longer he stepped into the doorway of the room, it was empty. The occupants had gone through another door. "feth" His men looked at him, "We will inform the Queen when we reach home but say nothing to the Ambassador." He could see they were uncertain about keeping something from Claire he knew he had to say something to earn their silence.

"It's for her own protection, you know how she is, and she'll worry about it. We need to take this ship and look for a woman among the prisoners. We'll get some answers." The small group of men nodded in agreement now bound by this secret and an urgency to clear the ship they moved quicker.

Smiling at Claire's praise and her breathing out the word beautiful in regards to my saber I said "M'lady I don't know about you or your security arrangements for future travels. Though perhaps I could be kept in mind for escort services for your future travels M'lady, nice to have someone around who has the training I do to keep you safe M'lady." Smiling as she shot two more guards center of mass I looked towards the floor. They'd likely come up from beneath hidden floor panels, then Claire looked to me gesturing for each of us to take a room. Nodding I said through the comms "Everyone check in, this is Captain Vikar. Time to start thinking about splitting up to start loading stunned prisoners into escape pods people."

With that I saw Claire gesture for me to take one room and her the other. Nodding I pressed my back against the door frame and opening it slightly I bowled two grenades through. One to shock, the other to emit knockout gas. I saw Claire breach but sure enough I felt movement below her. Going through the door she entered I watched as two pirates came from the floor, one with a scattergun modified for only lethal projectiles the other with a dart launcher. Both were deadly and both weren't meant to stun, Launching myself over them I ignited my aqua saber in my right hand with a snap-hiss and as I landed I simply delivered a back hand strike decapitating both before cleaving the weapons in two with my second strike. Their heads hit the deck and their necks smoked where my saber had cauterized the wounds.

Claire whirled on me and I pointed at the weapons. "Those were designed to kill and only kill Claire, their fingers were on the triggers and they were squeezing." Looking at them I knelt and said "Forgive and have mercy on them, may they be protected from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire." Then rising again I rejoined Claire and said "What next Ms. Organa?"

She stood there for a moment not sure what to say no one had ever offered their services before , she gave him a nervous smile, “I travel a lot for a number of reasons, but yes I will keep you in mind. You’ve proven so far that you’re trustworthy and more than capable of handing the job. Course you’d have to put up with me and my quirks about things.” THAT was a conversation for later for when she offered him a job, he might change his mind. She had trust issues he was a stranger to her still, but then she hired people she knew only for minutes for jobs. But they weren't being hired to keep her safe, they were sewing hemlines.

She had kept walking while she talked though as she signaled for them to each take a room something odd happened, the floor began moving. Before she understood exactly what was happening pirates were coming up from the crawl space preparing to shoot. Claire turned just as she did the color of the corridor changed from the muted yellow to aqua she knew that @andorreth vicar had pulled his lightsaber again.

It wasn’t until she heard the soft thud on the deck that she understood what he had done, and when she looked she screamed and turned away putting her forehead to the bulkhead. She had never seen headless men, the smell was something she would never forget. She stood there pulling herself back together she felt the tremble in her hands grow till it reached her shoulders, she shook her head to try and stop what she felt from taking her focus.

Slowly she turned to look she saw him kneeling beside the bodies inside her emotions were ready to careen away when he pointed out to her that they had been ready to kill them. They had given no thought to it, no hesitation. She looked away again the bodies limp on the deck. Maybe she wasn’t cut out for this kind of activity she really wanted a good stiff drink but it would have to wait some.

She was thinking about what to say knowing she had to control her tone, her words but she heard his words as he spoke over the dead she softened as she understood that what he did was a prayer for their safe passing. There wasn’t anything for her to say.

What’s next Ms. Organa??

“We keep going, we need to take control of the ship, we need the Captain in custody.” Her words were soft as if trying to keep a secret truth she was still recovering from the shock. She wanted away from the bodies though and that would move her forward.

“Let’s go, LT start getting the survivors to the pods, Captain Vikar and I will take the Captain.”

They needed only to follow the corridor the Captain would be there at the end, piloting the ship.

The Captain already was becoming uneasy and he didn’t know why, some old pirate thing that told him when something wasn’t right. He pulled a blaster, “I’ll be back” his voice gruff, hints of anger dripped from each syllable. He started down the corridor.

On the other side of the ship, The Captain from Claire’s ship had slip his team half were taking survivors to the pods, the others were with him hoping to find the woman and hold her while clearing the ship.

Having finished my prayer for the passing of the men I looked towards Claire and said "My apologies Ms. Organa. I know death is a difficult thing to deal with. Wasn't about to let them pull the trigger on you though." Listening to her tell me what the plan was next I heard her say we needed to keep going and take the captain into custody. Nodding I said "Aye I can do that Claire. I'm sorry as well for what I exposed you to back there. Death isn't an easy thing to deal with and the fact is that as an ambassador you've likely been able to solve problems with fancy clothes and fancier words. As it is I'll be taking point now M'lady as capable as you've shown yourself to be today your armor isn't rated to take slugs, blaster fire, blades, and sabers. I'd much prefer you kept alive, I mean it'd be a shame if someone managed to shoot you and kark up your natural beauty."

Moving in front of Claire I uncapped the container of sand I kept on my belt and began of moving down the hall. I sensed emotion further down the hall, malice, anger, murderous intent. The Captain most likely.... then I heard a familiar sound, a blaster being charged to maximum. I heard the finger moving to the trigger and suddenly he came around the corner. Flipping around so I was in front of Claire I spread my arms to cover her and released the sands. Bringing them around my back in a dome I hardened them into a shield as the blaster fired towards us. My saber ignited again with a snap-hiss and I looked towards Claire and said "Ms. Organa I highly suggest you stay behind me. Also I need to know how you want the captain dealt with, disarmed is the preference I'm guessing?"

He was apologizing for her safety, “I understand I appreciate you keeping me alive, believe me I do. I “ she half smiled her emotions tending to get the better of her, “like being alive as the alternative is a bit permanent” Death was something she didn’t fear but she wasn’t ready to go yet.

She stopped to really look at him knowing he could see her through the filters, “Don’t apologize not for doing the right thing. It’s was unexpected, I’ll know better should this happen again I’m hoping it doesn’t. You’re right I resolve things with words, and pretty dresses. I can shoot and pilot because I don’t want to be seen as incapable. Or just a pretty face I need to show I can do things.” Certainly he would understand why a person would need not to be seen as helpless. “But I don’t resolve with force”

He was so quick with replies as they stood there in the corridor when he complimented her she could feel the heat in her cheeks. “Please don’t get yourself killed over me though.” Before she could say anything else they heard the approach of someone who was not happy.

Claire had never seen Rianna or Garith use the force what she witnessed now with the sand was a marvel. She stood close to her protector to ensure she did not in any way break his concentration or interfere with what he was doing. She couldn’t be the shell that formed around them, amazing how did he do that?

Whoever was coming was closer and would be on them in a few moments. Andorreth turned to ask her what she wanted she thought about the long line of nobles who had come before her, she thought about the people with her, and she couldn’t help but think of the man standing before her. “If he wants to deal in deadly force then you meet him on equal ground with deadly force. Whatever happens will serve as an example to the others in his crew. We show no weaknesses Captain Vikar let intuition be your guide.

She stood with her head held high and her words were sure, whatever happen the ship would be theirs.

Nodding at her words of if we were shown lethal force to do the same in turn I felt the blaster fire hit the sand shield glassing it from the charged plasma. Dropping the shield from behind me I held the sand that'd been glassed and formed it into glass-sharp needles while moving the sand into a shield behind me high enough for Claire to duck behind but not to cover her whole body. Catching the needles of glassed sand in my right hand I spun the aqua saber in my left hand in front of me in loose guard. "Captain, for the sake of honor I'll let you know now most of your crew are simply unconscious no deaths that could be avoided. We can solve this peacefully if you'll comply. I'd rather not resort to violence if I don't have to."

Then I felt a huge glob of spittle coat my left boot as he said "That little Alderaani schutta should've simply lay down and died. Fact you're working for her to take my ship from me shows that the Alderaani people aren't pacifists at all they simply hire others to fight for them. Schutta should be able to fight her own battles not rely on others." I heard the charging the blaster again and reaching out I felt a tie to Claire through the captain. "Tell me Captain is the person who informed on Ms. Organa's whereabouts and transit schedule aboard your ship? I see no way you'd have known her destination otherwise let alone who she was without such a person aboard."

I saw the Captains' face tighten with rage. "How can you know she's aboard?! You filthy jetiise! Meddling in other peoples' minds!" With that he fired towards the gas valve above Claire. Spinning as he fired I caught the bolt and flicked his overcharged blaster shot into the water piping above him sending steam into his face. My right hand twitched and flicked the handful of glass projectiles into his left forearm I heard them strike home as he shouted in pain. Next thing I knew a thermal detonator was being thrown towards Claire. Catching it in the sand I compressed sand around it and squeezed until it detonated inside the sand. Sighing I said "Captain I gave you a chance." With that I rolled forward with my saber in an inverted grip and sliced clean through the hand that'd been holding the blaster. Twitching my left hand I sent my saber into a normal hold with the blade and his neck.

He was wailing in horror and the smell of burned flesh filled the air. Looking at him I said "Captain this fight is over. My blade rests at your throat and I've spared your life thus far please sir, don't force me to take it from you. Yield Captain, and I promise you your life and the lives of your crew." Even with the power of life and death over this man there was information he'd confirmed that someone had in fact informed on Claire. He'd also confirmed the person was female, I wanted to know who as I'm sure she did as well. I hoped the captain would relent and spare himself but I wasn't sure he would....
