Lost in Space (complete)

She noticed her salad had grown some was that more Jedi magic? She laughed a bit at the thought maybe he though she needed a bit of meat on her bones. Or her eyes were playing tricks on her.

She sat back though as he reached over and touched her shoulders, she felt the light pressure into muscles that had long been tense. She cooed softly as she enjoyed how his hands moved slowly along her shoulder as she turned into putty that he could mold into whatever he wanted.

She felt something else pooling within her with each digit that pressed into her shoulder. She held tightly to her rose as her head dropped forward to rest on her chest the tension slipped away. “You’re very good with your hands, and yes I know you would keep your word. It’s what I like about mandalorians you can count on them to keep their word and live up to their honor.”

She felt herself sway slightly she couldn’t help the soft sounds that escaped her as he eased her troubles away.

“I’m really thinking I need to keep you around a lot. Cooking. Shoulder Rubs. Roses. A Prince. A mandalorian. An Eschani, A man of reason. Tall, Dark, and Handsome. Andorreth you’re the total package.” She smiled without even thinking at this moment she might have crossed a line.

She wondered if Crosswire was watching and listening from somewhere in the ship. Was he getting an earful now?

Smiling I leaned in close to her ear and whispered "So what you're saying is I'm a ten out of ten? There is one more thing I can show you before I let you retire for the evening Claire....I think you'll appreciate it though...." Without asking permission I simply grabbed Claire off the couch and started carrying her back towards my quarters. If nothing else I'd sleep on the floor but I wanted to at least show her the view..."Ms. Organa, for your information I'm taking you back to my quarters. The only way to see this surprise is through my cabin and the elevator that is inside." With that we reached my cabin and I elbowed the door open. Letting Claire down I went over to a hidden door and slid it to the side then pulled the ladder down. Gesturing to the ladder I said "If you'll follow me up Ms. Organa..." Punching in the code I opened the hatch and activated the controls to open the blast shutters revealing my view of the stars....

Gesturing for her to join me I hoped she noticed the bed and heating fixtures in the corner. I wanted to make sure she'd be secure for the night and this was the best kept secret on The Salvation, plus the view was worth the million creds I'd spent...

"OH!" was all she could say, "I can walk this is very chivalrous and all" But it was already too late for protests as they entered his quarters. There were many thoughts that ran through her mind about what he wanted to show her. Could be something very personal, could be something that was so precious it was only kept in his quarters, and then there were the other obvious things that she thought of. She could smell the soap he used it was earthy yet hints of a spice.

Here was where she had another choice, she could leave. But curiosity was getting the better part of her, oh my oh my she thought to herself. How many times in one lifetime does one get the opportunity to live a life rather than just exist. He wanted to show her something that he said was a surprise. She had so many surprises today all were memorable. Did she want to go home without knowing just because her sense of propriety was ruling over her.

Her last name was Organa right? And she was her mother's daughter...without debating it internally much longer she climbed the ladder following [member="Andorreth Vikar"] . What waited for her took her breath. The view.

"oh my" she repeated softly as she walked up beside Andorreth towards the view. She felt so insignificant at the moment dwarfed by the beauty of the galaxy. She noticed that he slept here. "How do you sleep here ? I would be constantly looking out watching the changes in the sky. A million different colors they look like I could reach out and touch them. Wow." She just stood there unable to move taking in the vista laid out before her. She reached over and took his hand this just seemed like the thing you wanted to share with someone.

"This is a great surprise.." She just didn't know what to say about it all.

Smiling at her reaction I said "I don't normally sleep here I sleep in my cabin below. Though if you are worried about security or feeling safe for the night until we reach Alderaan these quarters are your if you wish M'lady. The only way to this area is through m cabin and the only way up is through the hatch we just came up. Meaning a few things...You'd be sleeping in the most secure place on this ship and again I'm in the cabin below meaning I will know if anyone comes looking for you and they'd have to get through me to get to you. Again the room is yours for the remainder of the trip should you wish Claire." I blinked as she grabbed my hand and I let her hold it for a few moments.

I noticed the cold starting to get to her and gently I pulled away grabbing a blanket and draping it over her shoulders. Looking at Claire I said "Should the view get a bit old or the heating units not keep you warm enough or start getting temperamental again I am in the cabin below Ms. Organa." While I wouldn't stop Claire if she chose to leave and return to her own quarters for the night I wanted to present her the option of being absolutely certain she'd be safe. I also hadn't meant to cause offense or insinuate my having ulterior motives with the comment about my cabin being below the star deck.

I just happened to realize how it sounded afterwards.... Looking to Claire I said "If there's nothing more M'lady I'm glad you enjoyed dinner and I' glad you appreciated the gift." To accentuate my point I gently placed the glass rose I'd made at the entrance to the the shaft leading down to my cabin then silently I retreated into my cabin below leaving the hatch open for Claire should she decide to come down...

If he didn't sleep up here then what was the bed for? Company? She looked bewildered for certain. Odd one minute she was certain she might be getting a handle on what kind of man he was and then something confusing happened leaving her feeling like...damn he's so complicated.

So this was not only to be a surprise for the view but also a safe room. She really had to think about the answer what would they think if she came strolling out of Andorreth's room when they got to Alderaan. OH she knew what they would think. But she could explain it after the incident with the droid it could be explained. Yep. She looked at Andorreth goddess she wished at times she could just read minds.

She was already in here. The view was spectacular. She was tired. How many times could they report her behavior to Faith? Claire laughed.

"I'll stay. I think I would enjoy the view and it will give me time to think. It would provide a comfort to me to know you are close by should I get cold, or bored, or have a moment of panic" She nodded as she began his decent to his cabin. "Night, sleep well"

Then he placed the rose a gentle reminder she walked over and picked it up holding it gently and taking it over she set it on a small ledge where it could reflect any light that came through it's prism. Then she sat on the bed looking out at the view as she wrestled with thoughts about her sister. Her parents. And who this could be doing this.

She had to have a list, there had to be a good reason. She looked out a million stars and just as many ideas on what it could be that brought this on. At least the stars were silent and only tempting her. Whoever this was behind the attack she wanted them and goddess help if anything happened to Tory.

She slowly fell asleep only to be haunted by night mares.

After heading down to my cabin I began the upkeep on my weapons and gear while Claire was hopefully starting to finally sleep. More I thought about Seras more I realized that odds were she and I would be working together soon. I'd stripped down my pistols, reassembled them and now I was simply honing the edge of Tamerlein, before I started the polish work. I felt that Claire would be safe enough with me for the night. Pulling a thin hand-drill then snatching a piece of Cyan saber crystal from my workbench I began drilling through the crystal. After finishing with that I simply ran some shimmersilk cord through the hole and tied the shimmersilk in a slipknot.

Then I heard Claire start to toss and turn up above me. Clipping my sabers to my belt I headed up the ladder as I came to the top of the hatch I opened it. Sure enough the heater units were starting to go out again but Claire looked terrified in her dreams. Moving slowly I headed over to the bed she was on then gently scooped her up. She was cold and I simply levitated the rose I'd made for her behind me as I brought her down to my cabin.

Closing the hatch behind me I let the glass rose down on the bedside table and gently laid Claire on my bed before pulling the silken maroon sheets over her followed by blankets. I placed the crystal necklace by her rose as I lowered the lights and lit several small candles for ambient light. Hopefully she wouldn't freak when she saw me in bed next to her.... Unclipping my sabers I set them on my night stand table and moving in close against Claire I simply wrapped my arms around her waist and used my body as a natural shield for her....

The dreams were shifting the nightmare of not finding Victoria now bled into her not saving her from a fire. She could feel the heat on her face hear her voice calling out for her. All playing out to her mother accused her of not watching her sister.

Claire's eyes flew open as she gasped in fright. She tried to focus reminding herself it was alright it was not real it was a dream. It was..a rotten dream. Claire stared at the ceiling as the fog of sleep slipped from her mind as she realized she was not alone. She turned her head the star field was gone. There was the sound of soft breathing near her, she turned to see Andorreth's form next to her.

She swallowed hard as a shiver slid down her spine. She was in bed with Andorreth. How had that happened? She didn't remember that.

She felt the warmth of his touch around her waist, she didn't know what to say at the moment. She stared up at his face in his sleep he looked relaxed. She could see he was younger than she imagined, his hair a bit longer than it looked in and out of the buy'ce. She knew she should leave. This was highly inappropriate but from what she could tell nothing had happened other than where she was sleeping.

She didn't want to wake him either the hours of this day had taken a toll on him too she imagined. Slowly she raised her hand and carefully moved a shock of dark hair from his brow so she could see him better.

Life had dealt him a hand that seemed unfair. Well maybe if she was able to get his named cleared on Corellia it would help to ease some of that unfairness. Claire laid there as her heart finally stopped thundering from the dream and her thoughts calmed.

Alderaan couldn't be too far a few jumps she'd be home. the Interrogation would begin, and maybe they'd get some answers.

I could feel her jerk up in bed but I wasn't going to move and startle her more. Softly I said "I sensed a spike of emotion after you'd gone to sleep. I went to check on you and the heaters had died and you were starting to shiver, I swear I wouldn't have done anything Claire...." Gently I wrapped my arm around her waist and simply laid there with her. I could feel her hear beat increased but I also felt her starting to calm as well. Suddenly a screen flicked on glowing a soft blue that showed two remaining jumps until Alderaan orbit. Reaching over I gently brushed away a few stray locks of Claire's hair and simply looked in her eyes.

This probably wasn't going to be good for her to explain to whoever. Still I wouldn't touch her though Force knew I wanted to....Perhaps on Alderaan there'd be a chance to spend more time with Claire away from gunfire, assassins, and the like. For now I was fine simply holding her and comforting her....

"Yes I'm having night mares course I guess that's expected. Thanks for taking care of me." He brushed the hair away she stared up at him for a moment temptation was edging it's way past reason. But there was already a lot going on and she couldn't help but wonder if something more with the man who was now an arm length away would be making things more complicated.

She was a designer and most considered her morals questionable because of the company she kept. What was one more assumption when circumstance and appearance certainly would indicate something was going on. "Part of me wishes you would" she replied to his swearing he wouldn't do anything, "but the other part is just in need of company, a friend" Her hand touched his arm she'd deal with the ethics and morals squad later.

She was tired she laid there trying to find rest again, "it's ok ner kal, ner kad which ever works for you" She slowly drifted back to sleep.

A few hours later there was a thumping noise at the door

"Captain the prisoner. She's been trying to short out the cell she's in. Somehow she got a spanner"

Claire thinking it was a wake up call waved a hand as she slowly tried to wake up. Her voice sounded tired, "I don't want to get up it feels too early." She rolled over, "five more minutes tell her to still or we'll space her"

I jerked awake hearing the thumping on my cabin door. Hearing about the prisoner I jerked of my bed and pulled the sheets back over Claire. "Meet me in the prisoner holding cell when you're awake m'lady." Dropping my shorts I pulled on some loose combat trousers with knives stashed in the waistband along with the charcoal grey shirt I'd fallen asleep in. Pulling on my boots I called my sabers to my hands I slid them into holsters on either hip then slid the crystal I'd made a necklace of into Claire's hand. Taking a risk as she was starting to fall asleep again I gently kissed her forehead then left my cabin. Taking the lift down to the airlock cells I had one of my re-purposed assassin droids join me.

"When we enter this cell room keep an eye on the guard should he move towards me restrain him." The droid nodded and I headed into the holding cells. Looking at the woman working with a tool in fact a spanner I simply adjusted the conditions of the cell. Magnetizing the restraints on her I forced her face to the deckplating. Then for good measure I magnetized the spanner to the opposite side of the room. Popping the hatch I simply walked in and grabbed the spanner then tossed it to my assassin droid. Sighing I said "Here I was wanting to let you sit in peace..." Walking outside of the cell I simply hit the latch and began to vent the atmosphere in the cell. She began to lose consciousness and I restored the air in her cell "Ma'am, I hold the power of life and death over you. I suggest highly that you sit and shut your mouth until we land. I mean unless you want me to deprive you of oxygen again."

The PA came on as Jax said "Captain we are entering Alderanian airspace and they are requesting clearance for landing what shall I tell them?" Looking at the PA I activated it and said "Jax inform them that we'll hold a position in the upper atmosphere until the lady ambassador transmits her landing clearance and while you're at it call my cabin and inform the ambassador that Alderaan is requesting her landing codes." Jax responded saying "Aye Captain, it will be done." Looking towards the prisoner she was cackling and tilting my head to the side I waited. "You think those pacifists will get anything from me?" Smiling I said "You misunderstand ma'am the Alderanians won't be questioning you. I and other Mandalorians will." Suddenly her smile fell and I smirked "Ma'am as I said you've no power so sit, shut up, and be polite."

I had questions now on how she'd gotten a hold of that spanner as the cell had been clean due to us having stripped her of all weapons. The only thing that made sense was the guard....moving over towards my assassin droid I said "If that guard moves towards the cell restrain him." Now all that was left was to have Claire transmit codes and land on Alderaan....
