Slowly the boat came to a stop, halting just a few meters away from the shore at the very center of the cove. The Courier wandered over towards one end boat and pulled out a heavy chain anchor from beneath one of the seats, tossing it into the water he let it slide across the bottom of the cove until it eventually caught on an assembly of large rocks, hooking them into place and keeping the boat where it was. He smiled slightly satisfied as he turned towards Jamie.

"Nah." He said. "I don't burn, but I'd be happy to help you apply."

Kurt said it with a wink.

They would have to be careful with moving everything to shore, though he doubted it would be an issue. The water within the cove was only a few feet deep and as long as he kept everything above his head Kurt should be able to move everything from the boat to shore while keeping relatively dry, he would just have to ensure that he didn't drop anything when they moved things. "I assure you, I can be very thorough."

He offered her another smile, almost gliding over to her and settling his hands on her hips.

The blonde narrowed her eyes a bit, her smile pushing to one side of her face as she stared at Kurt just in front of her, his hands on her waist.

"I'm sure you are." She tapped him on the nose. "How about we get all this stuff to shore first and then I'll change? Then you can help me."

With that her hands would gently push him back as she stood up, hoisting her backpack up and over her shoulders, hands resting behind the straps. "Do you want me to help with the tent bag? Last thing we need is for that to get soaked." It was one thing to carry it alone on the beach, but with even a gentle current carrying the large bag might be a bit much to get to shore alone.

Moving toward the front of the boat where the water was shallow Jamie swung one leg over the edge and dropped down into the warm ocean waters, her pants immediately dampening as the water was absorbed into the fabric that clung to her form.

"Oh! It's lovely!" She'd shout. "It's as warm as the air!"

Kurt watched her for a moment, a silly smile growing on his face. He didn't quite understand why she went into the water clothed, but who was he to question? His eyes wandered over towards the bag in the back, grasping it and throwing it onto the front of the boat where he would be able to grab it more easily. Then he did the exact opposite of what Jamie had done, he began to strip.

His pants went first, then his shirt, and finally his underwear.

Unlike Jamie, apparently, Kurt didn't really have the luxury of getting his clothes wet, mostly because he had only brought two pairs. This hadn't been meant to be a weekend trip, only a day or two at the most. His backpack wasn't large enough to hold more and...well he hadn't thought that he would need it. So instead of getting his stuff wet Kurt began to stuff it into his backpack, squeezing everything in before following Jamie's path and jumping feet first into the water.

"Ohh." Kurt said almost immediately, the sensation of warm, almost too warm water breaking against his skin. He looked over at Jamie, grinning at her as she caught her eyeing him.

"That is warm." He said turning to her and pulling the large duffel bag free from the boat. "Come on, lets get to the shore."

Watching Kurt strip caused Jamie's face to blossom into a bright pink, her eyes averting from him to scan the horizon, just in case. "Umm." She would start, "Naked?" Why did he have to get naked? She had strategically packed enough clothes into her backpack where she had been able to fit five outfits for a three day trip, not including what she had on her, so she saw no reason to strip bare for waist deep water.

"Did you not pack enough? Or are you just really eager to get naked when you're alone?"

The girl tossed her backpack on to the shore, far enough up that the tide wouldn't reach. Turning back toward the boat she wandered over to where Kurt stood in the water, brushing her hand beneath the surface against the front of him, a mischievous grin on her face before reaching up and into the boat to grab hold of one end of the duffel bag.

"Ready?"

"I'm always eager." Kurt said as he waggled his eyebrows at her touch, smirking slightly as he leaned down to give her a brief kiss. "I Just happen to also be lacking a suitable selection of clothing."

His hand wrapped around the duffel bag, and quickly he pulled it free from the top of the boat. He saw Jamie struggle slightly, a second hand quickly grabbing the other end of the bag as she hefted it's weight. He smiled slightly, though looked away so she wouldn't see him hold his laughter. In unison the two of them wandered through the water, moving slowly as they hefted the heavy bag. Eventually the waves grew smaller, the water receded slightly, and the two of them made it to shore.

The duffel was dropped onto the beach beside her backpack, Kurt taking a sly step towards her. "Now...I believe you needed help with something?"

His palms found their way to her hips, pulling her close as he completely forgot about his own clothes still back on the boat.

Jamie wiggled her finger from side to side at Kurt. "Tisk Tisk. Improper packing!"

Once the two had managed to get the bag to shore and place it next to her pack she couldn't help but look at Kurt, in a bit of a daze, his clothes still notably missing as he turned and began speaking as if there was nothing to see. Her face swelled once again with a flash of pink, desperately trying but failing to look away from his body. "I...Um..."

Looking back to the boat she gestured with her thumb "Want me to grab your clothes first?" It was clear to her that Kurt didn't mind his current appearance, however if that was what she'd have to look at for the next three days she hardly found it fair, let alone productive to any other activities besides the obvious.

"I was packing for a day trip to Cartao, not a weekend on Spira." The two were wholly different, and he hadn't exactly been given the time to return to The Messa and grab everything he needed.

Despite that though he wasn't really all that worried, he'd been in the wilderness often enough to know that he could wash and dry his clothes tomorrow, making them acceptable for another day or two after that, not to mention that they were on a beach planet so it wasn't like he needed to wear them all the time, though judging by the way that Jamie acted he doubted that he could get away with being entirely nude the whole time. A bit too distracting for her he thought.

Leaning down Kurt kissed her, gently pressing his lips against her own.

"In a second." His thumbs slowly slipped into the hem of her shorts, gently stroking across her skin. "Take a moment, babe. Breath in the air, relax."

Kurt kissed her again, more full this time.

"Fair enough. Though you should have thought ahead."

She winked at him, as if it were obvious that he should have known he would have to spend more time with her than a simple afternoon. Her eyes glanced down, watching Kurt's hand as it danced within the lip of her well dampened pants. For a moment she would stay quiet, simply watching his hand wander back and forth before her head tilted up again, kissing him. "I've been relaxed since we landed. Well, forgiving the Caf stimulation that is." The girl was still pretty wired from that. A cup and a half was more than ample to get her going, though she did her best to subdue the urge to simply giggle, instead transferring that energy into the bounce in her walk, and the excited tone to her voice in each word she spoke.

"It's very quiet here." She'd remark, the sound of the water, a few birds, and the breeze being the only breaks in the silence to be heard for miles. "Peaceful." The blonde would point toward the boat and the duffel bag. "Come on, let's get your clothes, and this tent setup so we can relax and have nothing else to worry about."

Kurt nuzzles her nose for a moment then smiled. "Alright, you go get my clothes, I'll start unpacking the tent, okay?."

They didn't both need to head back to the boat after all, and he wanted to get the tent set up as soon as possible.

She was right in that they needed to get everything set up before they could really relax, it would help if they created a fire pit as well so that they wouldn't have to do it when it began to grow dark. Slowly he withdrew his thumbs from the hem of her pants, letting them stroke over her hips for half a second before he slowly stepped away from her and over towards the large duffel bag. The Courier offered her a small wink, then slowly unzipped the duffel.

Inside he found exactly what he had expected, though of far higher quality.

The tent was not a cheap plastic thing, but instead a heavy canvas. The cloth like material was massive, bundled around a series of large metal poles that would fit together and eventually transform into the tent's skeletal structure. Along with the overlapping canvas there was also the 'flooring' of the tent, a lighter canvas structure. Kurt let out a whistle.

They'd really gotten a deal.

"Alright!" With a twist of her hips she trotted back towards the boat, kicking up a bit of sand in front of her as she skipped away. When she again reached the water's edge she carefully waded in, the water slowly rising back up to her midsection as she fumbled around and scrambled herself halfway into the boat, her legs horizontal over the side of the craft as she reached around and grabbed Kurt's belongings before dropping back into the water. She was careful not to drop anything as she made her way back to the sand.

"I'll set them down under my bag so they don't go rolling across the beach with a strong breeze."

Kneeling down next to her pack she neatly folded Kurt's clothes and set her bag on top of them. After which she pulled the zipper back and retrieved clothes, more specifically, a brightly colored purple bikini top with a pastel blue floral design and matching bottom that would be better suited for the rest of the day.

"Would you like some help? Or should I go change quickly?" Sure they were on an empty island, but that didn't quite mean she was going to change out in the open. A patch of trees lay just beyond where Kurt was beginning to setup camp that would make for a suitable discreet changing area.

Kurt looked at her strangely for a moment, his eyebrow raising as he looked around, and then at himself. He wasn't quite sure where she wanted to change, or even why she wanted to, well, why she would want to change in a different location anyway. His head shook from side to side, his lips pulling into a smile. The Courier decided that it was best not to question her, knowing that it would likely develop into either something hilarious, or quite distracting.

"Go change." Kurt said offering her the same smile. "I need to spread this out first anyway."

Then they could get to assembling the rest together. "I'll put something on so you're not distracted when you get back."

Kurt offered her a small wink, grasping one end of the tarp and quickly beginning to unfurl it across the sands. The Canvas quickly came apart, reaching to a rather impressive size. The tent was definitely not only meant for two people, clearly being spacious enough for four or five at least. Another whistle passed from his lips, eyes settling on the inside of the duffel to double check whether or not they actually had everything they needed for the massive tent.

"Right. Okay." A quick nod. "I'll be just a minute then."

And without another second she headed for the trees and the grass on the outskirts of the beach. If she had simply changed where she were there was a high likelihood that Kurt would find himself distracted. Jamie knew if both were in that same state what it would inevitably lead to, and so she felt it best to preemptively nip that in the bud, lest they be setting up the tent until night fell.

The soft mossy surface beneath her feet tickled slightly as the sand changed to grass, her head looking back once more to check on Kurt before she ducked behind a pair of wide trees that provided a bit of shade. Removing her top was simple enough, having been dry still. The pants she'd had on however were a bit of a project to take off. Given their dampened state, the blonde had to wiggle her hips and legs while peeling the layer of fabric down little by little until she was able to kick off the outerwear and underwear.

After accomplishing the task of changing into the swimwear the girl gathered her clothing and returned to see Kurt still in the process of setting up the tent. It looked massive! "No wonder that thing was so heavy!" The blonde leaned down, kissing him before raising her arms and giving a twirl. "Like it?"

Kurt stopped what he was doing, watching her twirl a bit before smiling. "Love it."

The complement wasn't an empty one, he did genuinely love it, though not because of the way she looked. For him it was far more about how Jamie acted rather than looked, the confidence she carried herself with, the smile that she offered, the little bit of attitude that was in her stance. He liked that, it made him feel oddly happy seeing her like that, more fulfilled. Part of him wanted to drag her into his lap, hold her, kiss her, and simply keep her immobile within his arms for the foreseeable future. Somehow he managed to resist doing that, instead pulling himself up out of his crouch and wandering over towards the metal poles.

While she had been gone he had slipped on a pair of boxers, though nothing more, not bothering with pants within the heat or even a shirt.

"We have to assemble all of the poles." Kurt said showing her the metallic pieces. "Once we do that the rest of it is actually pretty simple. The thing is old, probably older than the two of us, but it's sturdy and won't be flying away from us any time soon. Plus, lots of room."

A warm, pleased smile painted her face hearing Kurt's approval. The fact that he'd put on a bit of clothing served to please her as well. Not that she was in any way disgusted or ashamed to see him bare, quite the opposite in fact. There was simply too much to look at while focusing on other things that needed doing for the time being. There was no doubt there would be plenty of time for that kind of activity, but the point of the trip was hardly solely for that purpose.

"Okay. I can help with that!" She'd assert, kneeling down a few feet from Kurt, lifting a few of the metal rods and looking at them for a moment. She'd never quite assembled a tent like this, so instead she watched his movements and how he assembled the first of the poles before mimicking the actions herself, ensuring that the pieces were connected together at the right location and secure. There wouldn't be anything worse than having the tent fall apart while they were sleeping.

Kurt ensured that the pieces fit together, sliding them onto one another before quickly twisting them and locking them into place. A few of the poles were thin enough to bend, these would suspend the roof, the others were solid Durasteel, strong enough to take a few solid whacks with a bat before ever even beginning to bend. There weren't many of these poles, just five of them in fact and before long Kurt and Jamie had assembled all of them and placed them alongside the stretched out base of the tent.

"Okay." He mused for a second as he looked at the layout.

"Alright, you get on that side and start sliding the bendy ones through the loops in the roof, that way when we go to raise the tent they'll automatically flex and form and X to raise the roof." Kurt explained what would be happening, figuring that Jamie would at least be interested in that. "The other five poles will serve as the support once we raise the tent and it should all just kind of...collapse upward."

These old tents were neat like that.

They were structurally more sound and whole than the new ones, the heavy canvas serving as an added weight to the tent itself and the heavy metal poles bringing strong support against the wind and everything else that the Tent could be assaulted with.

"Alright, that makes sense."

Double checking her work just in case she gave a nod, happy with her part thus far. Crawling towards the opposite side of the frame through the sand she would sit on her knees and begin taking the smaller, more flexible poles and push them through the loops that would hold them in place while allowing them to flex upwards and make the slanted roof of the tent. The process was fairly simple, even by her standards, having experience with only a very modern, near instant-setup tent. The design of this particular one, however more difficult, seemed much higher quality than the one she had back home, and was certainly much larger than she was expecting.

Even though what they were doing was necessary and a bit of work, she started humming along to a song in her head, enjoying herself. Every few seconds the blonde would lift her head, look towards Kurt and give him a smile before continuing with the assembly. A few minutes later she'd finish sliding the last of the flexible rods through, and gave a thumbs up to Kurt to indicate she was done. "I think we're good on this side."

He checked the structure of the tent for a moment, ensuring that all of the poles were in the right place and that everything was set up correctly. "Well, alright then."

It seemed that everything was ready, now all they had to do it was actually raise the tent. He motioned for Jamie to stand up, walking over towards her and letting his hands slide over her own. His fingers interlaced with hers for a moment and he kissed the side of her neck before guiding her palms onto one of the top edges of the tent.

"Okay, hold here, and when I say so slowly start to lean back, alright?" They would have to pull in opposite directions. "Don't stop until the tent is completely up."

She gave him a small nod and Kurt sidled along the other edge of the tent to move opposite her. He gripped the side of the tent on the exact same place as Jamie was holding her end, then slowly he nodded to her. Jamie very quickly began to lean back, doing exactly what Kurt had told her. The Courier mimicked her motion, pulling back on the tent. The poles that they had so carefully fitted within the canvas began to raise, the bending ones in the roof flexing slightly and the upright ones slowly driving into the ground.

The entire tent seemed to raise perfectly, five small clicks echoing as the poles locked into place and the tent came to a full standing position.

Seeing the tent as it were, fully assembled looked impressive. It was far larger than anything they needed!

"Wow, Kurt! That guy said this was just for him and his wife? What were they packing that they needed all this space!?"

By the looks of it they could have fit a full bed with pair of dressers, and even a couch with room to spare inside. At the very least they wouldn't have to worry about being cramped in a tiny space like they had been back on the ship.

"Okay, well, what's next? Do we need a fire? Or..." She paused, realizing they had forgotten something. "Kurt? Fishing rods? Did we forget fishing rods?" Her eyes widened. They'd either have to go back to the shore, or find food hopefully somewhere on the island for the next several days. About the only thing Jamie had brought with her for food was a small bag of bantha jerky.

Oh.

Kark.

He had totally and entirely forgotten about fishing rods, even worse apparently so had Jamie. A frown pulled at his lips for a moment, his eyes settling on the cove and then back on Jamie. He mused for a moment then slowly wandered over towards her. The briefest bout of worry pulled through him, though it quickly disappeared as he stepped up to her and once again slid his hands onto her hips, a smile pulling across his face so that he could reassure her.

"Not to worry, my dear. You've come equipped with one handsome and well trained former pilot of the Republic Navy." While they had neglected to teach him how to swim, The Republic had in fact taught him how to survive. He could make what they needed with what supplies they had, though it would be a tad more makeshift than what they had originally planned.

Perhaps that would add to the charm of the situations.

"There was some fishing line on the boat, right under the control console. Can you get it for me?" He bent down and kissed her nose. "I'll reward you when you get back."

Jamie eyed the man nervously. What kind of plan is he going to concoct with some fishing line? Tie it around a stick and hope for a fish to be interested in some leaves?

With a sigh she closed her eyes and shook her head. "Alright then, I'll go get it." She leaned forward, kissing Kurt's shoulder, stepping beside him to maneuver around, her hand brushing along his arm. Passing the pilot, her hand rapidly swung downwards, eliciting a rather prominent smack on the man's behind. Before Kurt would have a chance to spin around to discover her dastardly work, she would have already trotted off and into the water, wading through the small, calm waves once again to the boat.

Hoisting herself back up along the left side of the boat, her legs again somewhat wiggling over the edge the blonde skimmed around the bottom of the boat and beneath the controls as Kurt suggested. Her hands felt the thin line coiled around a small cylinder, and, with a small tug, pulled it free. "Got it!" She would announce, dropping herself back into the shallow water and wading back up and onto the shore. "What do you plan to do with just this, anyway?" The girl extended her hand, offering the roll of fishing line to Kurt as she spoke.
