He smiled at the small press of her lips, her reaction making him grin like a child.
There was a simple joy in the way that she acted. It was childish in a way, yes, but not a bad way. Kurt didn't mind it, it made him feel...well for lack of a better term, loved. There was something about the way that she moved, the way she touched him, pressed herself close even during this silly moments that made him feel better. It was something that he would miss when they were apart, something he would long for when he was alone without her.
"Well." He said as he chopped down into the wood once again, the log nearly split. The endeavor wouldn't take long, Jamie having picked the perfect tree to use as firewood. The thing had likely been dead for some time now, dried up and completely perfect for burning. "You could head back to camp and start making us a fire pit."
They would need to do that anyway. "Something simple, rounded with stones and dug into the beach a bit to protect from the wind."
He smiled at her and gave the wood another hearty chop. This time the log split entirely, the first section of wood breaking away.
