Moonlight Lekku

He grinned at that. There was a light-hearted chuckle that had his long hair bouncing before he looked down at the floor and back up again.

For starting with him caught in a rather compromising situation the conversation hadn't gone badly.

"We can't wing it this time!" He warned with a mock frown. "This is a military medical station. They've got guns. But at least we can start this time with you butt covered and your legs working."

Choli gave a slight cant of her head, a mischievous glint rising in her eyes, "What? Considering what you were watching I'd have thought that a bare butt wouldn't be a deal breaker for busting out of this joint."
She brought a hand up, finger pointed in a mock play of realization, "Ah, it's because mine isn't pink right?"

Yup, he wasn't fully getting away from getting caught watching Moonlight's finest.

"It all makes sense now... why you didn't try to get into my pants... " well despite the fact that she didn't have pants to begin with. Okay, more rogue humor that was easier to handle than the embarrassment from before. Like asking about Nurse Green Joy and the pudding situation.

Or when he asked her what sort of porn she watched. "Just not pink enough..." a slight dramatic flair of her hand over her body in emphasis to continue the lighthearted joke,"...and no pizza to cinch the deal."

"Oh I'm going to regret that for a long time," he said with a shake of his head. Cheeks were flushed once more. He wasn't quite as used to dealing with such crude humour. Nor would it be easy to live down what she'd caught him starting to do. A good job she hasn't arrived a couple of minutes later.

"I could rustle up some popcorn," he managed to say. He didn't want her to go yet, despite how painfully awkward it all was.

"Probably better for us than pizza... And safer for your eyes." He tacked on in a low voice with an exasperated shake of the head. He recalled that when she'd changed he'd accidentally spared a glance over his shoulder and felt slightly guilty.

Choli gave a laugh, her shoulders shaking. She took a step forward, then another, until she was at the foot of his medical bed.

"Depends..." pearly white teeth flashed in a toothy grin. "How often will I have to knock and ask if "is it safe?" before entering?"

Since Trextan was already blushing and embarrassed as he could get, the additional layer of guilt over recalling he'd seen a bit more than he intended of the Rogue wasn't picked up by choli. Instead she figured it was the overall situation of getting caught with his pants down.

Okay, that made her giggle snort again.

"Popcorn? You sure? What, don't you know about Rule Thirty-Four?"

Oh did her eyes ever did twinkle mischievously at that.

"Oh come on it's not that funny, what if the reverse had happened!" He immediately regretted that comment, his cheeks going a darker red. His imagination was quite visceral in his current state.

"Alright, it's pretty funny. Just get it out of your system." He said, not realising how much he'd opened himself up for a counter jibe.

"Rule thirty four?" He asked, opening up for a double whammy. He was not at the top of his game right now.

The sudden switch and bait had Choli's olive face darken to a ruddy hue. Immediate thoughts went back to when, umm, things.. yeah.

Let's just say Choli had a rather vivid imagination and she'd taken plenty of advantage in those hot water showers when able...

"Well, I wouldn't have needed a pillow." ooo, point she countered with, following. with the sudden inability to let him pass by setting himself so.

"I think you were the one trying to get it out of his system." Her hands sank on the foot of the bed, curling over the metal railing.

"Sorry... guess I interrupted that." Oh her body was shaking again, humor amidst the awkward sense of embarrassment that they were ping ponging back and forth.

"You know, rule thirty-four..." oh this was great. "That there are adult holo-videos for every conceivable subject in the holonet -- even popcorn."

His mouth hung open. Oh I want to die. he thought to himself. Eyebrows came together in a pleasing expression.

"Come on laugh it all up," he replied. Though he did notice that her cheeks flushed too. Come on, get back into the conversation. Don't make it quite so easy for her!

"Probably no pillows involved," he replied, suggesting something else could have been. "And probably something a little more classy. Maybe we could have read an interesting book out loud instead of watching two people regret their life choices."

"But please don't go telling everyone. And if you do mention that it was a big pillow."

That made her laugh more, easing a bit more of the awkward tension between them with the silliness of the situation. At the very least, Trextan wasn't glowering anymore. Instead he was smiling, if a bit embarrassed.

"There's classy?" she shot back, grinning. "And just what sort of books do you have in mind?" she was baiting him again, amused.

After a second she shook her head, the dark waves coming forward to tickle her cheeks. A hand brushed them back to the side. " It's fine. I won't."

A pause. "Trust me... not the worst thing I've caught other Rogues doing -- or heard." her eyes went a little wide and she leant a bit closer.

"My Commander had a thing for twister...or so they say..."

"I was thinking..." He started. He had been about to say what you keep in mind from a book but it dawned on him that the tone had changed. He'd been given an escape. He decided to appreciate that for what it was rather than throw it back at her.

"Twister?" He gave a shake of his head. "They sound like a bad influence. You know we could go watch something now? It's quiet. In a few minutes. And not because of what you think. Because i need to finish dying inside before getting up.

"Unless your StarForce boyfriend needs to visit?"

"They are rambunctious." Choli's expression softened, and there was affection along with a tinge of melancholy in her yes. "But good mates."

The quip about dying inside prompted another twitch of her lips.

"Well don't they call it a little death for a reason?" yup, had to do it. Hilarious considering this was coming from likely the least sexually active Rogue in the entire squadron.

"StarForce boyfriend?" now it was Choli's turn be confused, her expression contorting a bit as she attempted to follow what he meant.

"Oh I just assumed maybe..." He started. One hand pointed in her direction. "I assumed maybe we were done with those jokes for a few minutes," he covered with a laugh.

"But yeah, I get that. I think the soldiers I go with now kind of adopted me after i found them in no man's land. I think they find having a seventeen year old Jedi around fun for laughs."

His eyebrows quirked upwards. "Apparently they're not the only ones!"

Choli brought her hands up, conceding defeat. "Okay, okay... haha." a short laugh.

"Sorry, when you are with the Rogues, it becomes standard banter. You either learn to adapt and give as much as you take or end up the one at the brunt of the jokes. I'll stop."

She gave a tilt of her head to the right, arms coming up to cross under her breasts. Left hip swung right, her right foot taking the bulk of her weight.

"Oh, so you're seventeen too?"

"Yeah," he replied. His grin made it obvious that he enjoyed this little fact. "And it's alright," he replied with a wave of his hand.

"It was funny. I think I'd have been more hurt if you'd run off and refused to speak to me again."

"Wait you're a Lieutenant Commander at seventeen?" He canted his head from side to side. "Actually that's not so surprising. You're pretty amazing at the helm"

Ah, the attention was back on her and this time, with a compliment. Heat rose on her cheeks again, not quite sure how to take it. It was rather nice but then a bit, well there were loads better than her. Janes for example, or Russo.

"Ah... not really with my crash record." her right hand came up to tangle into the thick dark hair, playing with it a bit anxiously.

"It just ended up that way." a small shrug.

She didn't rise to the occasion at giving another silly quip about walking in on him again, as she had said she'd stop. Instead she added, "So how long will they have you here?"

"I don't know actually. A few days at least I think. They want to make sure there's no serious head trauma lingering. That shockwave broke a lot of things. I had no right to survive that. Still don't know how I did what I did."

He looked up at her with an honest expression. One anyone who knew his father would recognise.

"I'm sorry you crashed again. And I'm sorry you still don't know what happened when you got caught.

"But I'm not sorry my arm malfunctioned and we ended up escaping together. We still saved a lot of people in that town." He gave a small shrug.

"And we got to meet too." He looked down, embarrassment still there. "And you got to point out how stupid i was being."

Choli quietly studied Trextan for a few seconds, unsure just quite how to respond. Her lids fell, blinking a second before rising back up.

"Yeah. We did." she swallowed hard, her throat bobbing a bit. After taking a breath, a ghost of a smile arose at the corner of her lips.

"Not stupid, " she told him, adding, with a grin. " Just hardheaded."

"Yeah," he replied softly. The serious expression changed to a timid smile. He realised she was watching him and flexed his hands.

"Who's got the hardhead if you keep surviving these crashes anyway?" Admittedly he'd been buried under all kinds of metal frames and tables and dust and had dragged himself out of it to see if anyone had survived the crash.

A roll of her eyes and then a shake of Choli's head in mild humor.

"Alright, you got yourself a point there Justicar." providing a quick quip about the group he'd said he was a part of.

"Anyways." her weight went shifting from her right to left foot. A glance over to the door and she took note of the time.

"If you want to go see something with a bit more clothes on, then I'll be out there." she was already lingering a while here and he was obviously still a bit embarrassed by the situation.

"Take your time... bring that popcorn... if there is any." the corner of her mouth twitched again.

Despite a mild temptation to finish what he'd almost started with a different narrative in his mind, Trextan gathered his thoughts.

He'd promised snacks and needed something to eat. Ridiculous. In the valley of sith lords they'd sent the acolytes out to the woods with nothing but a short blade and left them for weeks. Half had survived.

Now here he was panicking about snacks. There was no real point getting dressed in the single pair of clothes Jacen had brought him. They were they for leaving.

In his pajamas he found a vending machine just outside the ward and realised he had no credits. Well, the Force would forgive him this one, he decided as he yanked two bags of chips out of their rings with a surreptitious glance around.

"Got snacks," he announced as he reached the relaxation room.

He'd find the Rogue sitting cross legged on the floor. Instead of making the most of the acceleration couches behind her, Choli had made herself comfortable by tossing a few of the pillows around to make a sort of a large reclining area. This was a bit of her time with the Tusken raiders coming through.

Choli gave a lift of her head at the sound of Trextan's voice, watching him making his way over to her with two foil packs in hand. A jogged step brought to mind a particular thought, and Choli had to look away before she made a fool of herself, biting her lower lip. Well then...

"Anything to drink?" she called out, bringing up the holographic remote screen that would allow her to scan just what was available to see. So far, nothing but youngling holoshows.
