For anyone affected by the cloud break, I've started a thread where we can discuss banding together as we await an opportunity to reunify with the Galactic Republic down the road, perhaps beginning as soon as the conclusion of our next invasion. CSAF will definitely be getting involved in this. It's a great opportunity for the organization to lend a helping hand to Republic citizens who have been segregated from their government and economy.

Btw, I have to add: Brilliant idea creating a minor faction out of lost worlds. I hadn't thought of that. Maybe it's been done before and I'm just out of the loop, but either way, good stuff.

The whole cloud break thing is bizarre as it's not as though in any real situation, all those people would be cut off entirely and both military and political people are kicked out and everyone declared neutral. Lots of countries have pockets of territory.

But it's a great idea and I'm already there

Mergers don't grant any Planets anymore. You can Merge, but understand that any Planets the Coalition gains, will go back to neutral.

1. A Major Faction may not merge its influence cloud with another Major Faction's influence cloud.

2. A Major Faction may not gift another Major Faction any territory or planets.

This is a minor faction... Not a major... Soooooo mootness...

I assume he assumes that as a minor faction it could rebel against an OS dominion, go major etc.
Though the way I read it I think it's just for story purposes and the Republic is planning to dominion their way back into the core or something?

Only a Major Faction has the resources necessary to role-play having a large fleet, army, etc.

Not sure you can have a minor faction producing ships and then letting a Major faction use them.

I would consult a RPJ for this, since rules are clear. A minor faction does not have a fleet nor does it have an army.

But this does not matter, since minor faction characters are not going to be the ones who will be flying the ships. I am not too sure you can have someone from GR fleeting with ships from a minor faction.

[member="Matier"] my understanding is the new minor faction, would have to make it's own forces or buy them icly. As [member="Fatty"] did sub forces for his military before attacking us in his rebellion, it had no issues in the codex.
Also my alt has codex approved forces for her personal uses
Not to mention [member="Darth Vornskr"] blackblade guards, which is his personal force.
Also I know of lot pmc companies that hire troops out, as well as themselves.

Though if you could @mention an rpj and get a final answer.
