Quick question, if the NPC we desire to create shares a common backstory with our characters, based upon our creation bio's, would we be able to use that bio as a portion of development? (Silara has a sibling or two that I might like to eventually make into an NPC.) I'd still intend to make a thread specifically for that character, to explain the timeline between the past and now, but I also have no idea where I should go about making a thread that has nothing to do with my character.

It should be noted that development threads are not mandatory for NPCs.

Oh, wait... Now I finally understand your initial question. I'm so sorry, I was tired and feeling really ill when I replied to you.

Yes, bios are allowed. One really great example is Zarathustra by [member="Asha Seren"]. Even though it wasn't planned to be an NPC and it was actually meant to be a typical character (if I understood it correctly) who needed a bio, it later became an NPC. Who had a biography thread. But if you want to make an NPC, it would be better to have a submission, too. Now that we have the NPC Creation board, I am guessing NPC character sheets aren't allowed. But if mentioned in an existing PC's bio, sure.

I am thinking of creating a unit. And I want a second in command to be mentioned in it. So would I have to make two separate subs or make one just with both templates?

a single person would have the standard NPC template, a unit would be using the unit template.
