Of Blood and Cherry Blossoms [Outer Rim Coalition Dominion of Hex O-60)

It was time to move. Coren was good with that. Being second fiddle sometimes wasn’t that bad. He could be the barker and get his folks to move in conjunction with the forces lead by the Judges and Coalition leadership. He was just hopeful that the other Alliance types were ready, willing, and able to work in a cohesive unit like that. If not, he was going to have to do something about it. Grinning at Porte, he nodded.

“You looked so peaceful, and Cam and I could handle this no problem.” There was a chuckle following his retort to the other Master. He shook his head as he listened to Cam as well. Sometimes having the sense of humor was important here. A battle, a galaxy in turmoil? But if you couldn’t laugh, what was worth fighting for? A few blaster shots to the incoming blasters would scatter them for a moment, but Coren was readying a blast of stunning energy by the time Dax had caught the blade on his own.

Loyalists were just doing their job, and Coren slept through the briefing. He knew they were coming to reclaim a throne, but for now? It was his job to stop others, and rally what troops he did have. “Roger that.” A quick turn to Cam and Kahne, and he nodded after him. They had a throne to get. “Objective or support?” He asked the other two Jedi. He was already holstering his rifle, and grabbing his pistol, one that was a bit more of a sawed off scattergun than anything. But he was following, and quickly.

With the palace throw into chaos, Yula knew that she had to act as quickly as possible to locate the slaves. The distracted guards and soldiers could either be a boon or a bane—they weren’t at their typical posts, but they were looking for something or someone to be off. Their world was currently under siege after all.

At last the winding hall lead to what could be described as a servant’s quarters, in dismal condition as it was. The structures they lived and slept in were dilapidated and somewhat dangerous. The kitsune housed here were laborers and palace servants, though ‘servant’ implied the vaguest of freedoms.

A young woman with charcoal ears and tails perked up at Yula’s arrival. “Who are you?” She asked, eyes wide and expression a mix between hopeful and wary. Even down here, the sounds of fighting could still be heard and whispers of rumors traveled quickly.

“I’m from the Outer Rim Coalition.” The Zeltron mix realized rather quickly how awkward this may be to explain and she hesitated, searching for the right words. “I’m a…friend of a friend of your Lady Kimiko.” That was her name, right? The pretty woman with the snow white kitsune features? She was friends with Dax, the man who’d been something of an uncle to Yula and her brother.

The kitsune woman’s eyes lit up. “Lady Kimiko? Is she here?” She seemed breathless and jovial at the same time. Around them, the other kitsune began to talk among themselves, moving in closer as a spark of hope seemed to travel around the room. “I’m not sure where she is, to be honest.” Yula shrugged. “But we’re here to get you all out. And judging from the sounds above us…” Some shouts echoed from beyond the walls. “We had better go while the getting is good.”

The kitsune slaves with Yula at their head took off down the hall, in the direction where Rekha Kaarde was taking on the loyalists. Hopefully things would have simmered down by the time they got there, if they made it there.

Well things were getting more interesting by the moment as the pirate forces came into range. A snarky tootle came from Goldie's R-9 unit.

"What can I say, Squeak... The Outback ain't boring that's for sure. See if you can get a read on those new bogies for me, 'kay buddy?"

Ava was Two Flight Lead and nearest the moon side where a secondary group was moving in behind the first.

"That's affirmative... Those are ugly," she chuckled, then keyed the comm.

[ This is Rogue Five... Looks like there are two squadrons of Uglies screening, some are Z-'ceptors and Y-TIE's. The others... well only the Force knows what they cobbled together. Watch yourselves. ]

Location: Deep in the enemy lines-ish
Objective: Fight back
Gear: Traditional Sword and armor, Blaster carbine.

His big orange eyes peeked from behind cover again as the enemy soldiers began roaring battle cries. Blaster bolts filled the air as the Loyalist and Rebel lines met. The air grew thick with the smell of carbon and burnt ozone as multiple colors of superheated energy streaked across the gap between them.

Gib watched a moment with his mouth hanging lower than a Nar Shadda brothel's standards. A mix of fascination and horror filled his simplistic mind as he looked on.

CRACK!

He felt a deep burning in his shoulder and looked down. Blood trickled slowly down his arm as he slowly patted the scorch mark on his recently attained armor. Confusion played across his features and sudden realization dawned in his eyes. He looked up to see a loyalist watching him over his weapon sights and just felt very very...angry.

The mild calm Or'zet mechanic disappeared as long suppressed feeling claimed dominance over his faculties. He roared a wordless reply that echoed over the din of blaster fire and rushed the fox-like being. His tusk filled mouth twisted with uncharacteristic rage as millennia of guided evolution reverted him into the creature that his species was once bred to be, violent, vicious, war machines.

He crashed into the much lighter being and ripped the blaster from his hands. Pure animal instinct drove him as he swung the rifle like a club and sent the troop flying to land six meters away. He wasn't finished. The sword he had been given found his meaty hand as he ran into the flank of the enemy lines swinging. Screams erupted from those close enough to feel his mindless wrath. Shouts of words he didn't understand rose from the enemy as he bellowed rage and pain. The flank began to collapse in horror.

"Miir to Hyperion." He said over the comms as he threw his freighter into a slow banking turn, "I am diverting to slave pens for evac might need a hand."

The Swarthy Bantha, still dealing with minor water damage from a poorly planned water landing, he refused to say the word 'crash', turned much like its namesake. The slow long loop roared over the landscape and he had to say, it was a helluva lot prettier then Iktotch.

What the ship lacked in turning radius it more than made up for in raw speed. The engines roared their deep growl and he made his way toward the mark on his sensors for the slave pens. When they were ready he would be there to get people to saftey.

"Korr to Bantha I can lend a hand and if you need a strafe I can also do that as well if you got enemies on ya, if you need me to pick up some slaves I got plenty of space on the ship as well"

The wookiee raised smuggler guided his heavily modified YT1300 Light Freighter into the atmosphere to the ships Location and the pilot could be seen in the cockpit on the side, a young man. Looked late 20's and had a scar on his cheek from his time captured by the trandoshan slavers.

"Yeah, I see em Five," Rayf feathered his deceleration pedal, tugging the nose of his X-Wing about to face this new threat, "Flame Actual, Rogue Squadron will handle these patchworks. Stay on the swashbucklers."

A fusillade of laser cannon fire and more exotic plasma cannon fire filled the space in front of their task force, and Commander Vigil was forced to bank hard low in order to escape their firing solution. His X-Wing's inertial dampeners strained against the maneuver, Rogue Leader could feel the Gs piling against his chest until he eased back up and back onto his intercept course, this time under the reach of the light clipper's long guns.

"I noticed, R9!" he snapped back at his astromech unit, before flipping back on his comlink, "Contact! All Rogues, weapon's free."

His finger pulsed across the trigger, sending a barrage from the TR-20's fire linked laser cannons hurtling back across the void. One of the lead uglies in the pirate squadron they were rapidly converging on erupted into a brilliant fireball. Then their lines met, and all semblance of formation on either side descended into the chaotic maneuvering of a dozen dogfights.

"Scratch one."

Vaudin brought his ship down in a large field half a click away from the slave pens. The heavy struts pushed into the rich black ground as the ship vented compressed atmosphere and cycled the fresh air through the air scrubbers. He flipped a few switches but left the ship on in case he needed to make a quick exit.

Long legs carried him down the corridor to the boarding ramp. He checked the charge on his twin blasters as he exited his ship and put his headset comm unit in place.

"The Bantha has landed." He said over the comm unit to anyone listening, "Ready to go."

"All craft, enter CAP"

T-account, although I know you're an accountant before being a pilot, this time around, you proved that you could strafe. Plus the loyalists are in a full rout now that air superiority is ours, Janick thought, while the flights assigned to Wololo and Griet were both finished destroying the remaining Loyalist anti-aircraft emplacements in the city's walls, with the destruction of the emplacements causing each of them to burst into flames. Hopefully [member="Kimiko"] would be in position to push the attack on the now mostly-empty palace complex so that the coronation ceremony may proceed once the loyalists have surrendered or been wiped out. But it was not safe anymore to be strafing targets in such an urban environment and there were other rebels that used the confusion generated by the battle in the streets to go free some Kitsune enslaved by the loyalist regime. Also, with the Loyalists' airpower engaged in a furball fight in orbit, if they wanted to wrest airspace control from the ORC, they would be stretched thin and sandwiched between two forces in furball fights. For now anyway, she is a little concerned by the lack of ordnance in tow, so she decides to stick to CAP for the time being.

Cambria continued in Shien as the Rogue and Shattered Jedi pushed onward towards the wall; using light defensive parries with direct and effective sweeps and strikes against the loyalist soldiers as they closed in on the enemy and began to clear a path.

There was a narrowed area that they had to traverse in order to get past the outer wall. The fire raining down upon them kept them pinned down. Grabbing a grenade off a downed soldier, the blue-hued Jedi Guardian lobbed the explosive weapon into the pill box using a touch of the Force to guide it right into the sweet spot.

"Fire in the hole!" the Twi'lek called out, then threw up a Force Shield to cover herself and those closest to her.

Kaboom!

"Go, go, go... " she encouraged as golden eyes perused the battled area, springing forward using rapid switches and flints darting from one side to the other bringing the cerulean blue blade to and fro batting away blaster bolts to give cover to those behind her as they breached the wall and into the city.

Once inside the capital, the next objective was pushing through the streets to the Citadel, but more so to secure the throne room. It wasn't for the Jedi of the Alliance-in-Exile to put or choose a new ruler or even a prior one before the Loyalist took over on the Akauri's throne, but the Shattered would support the Outer Rim Coalition allies in their endeavor.

She took one more step and stopped the loyalists were still headed towards her their weapons tucked snugly into the pockets of their shoulders with a sure step moving closer. "Are you sure you want to do this?" She smiled she just kept smiling make them wonder what was she up to, what was she thinking.

"On your knees"

She almost bust out laughing at that point, "We just met I doubt that's happening" If her people were any good at following orders they had already set both of them in their sights ready to take them down. "You however might want to consider that...stopping, kneeling and giving up your weapons"

They were fools of course they kept coming taking the safety off their weapons she just shook her head and sighed, "can't say I didn't warn you"

It was there there was a bit of static on the comms some of them were headed to the slave pens...after this little romp her group would make sure the ones inside the palace got out then head over to the pens. As soon as she remembered exactly where they were.

She suddenly dropped down flat to the ground and screamed, "NOW NOW NOW" Shots rang out hitting the dirt before the loyalists as Rekha lifted her head, "the next shots..won't miss." Now that stopped them then she heard the foot steps, yep they did listen. Loyalists dropped their weapons and lifted their hands.

Hudson offered Rekha a hand, "Anyone ever tell you you're crazy."

she nodded, "all the time, tie em up take their comms deprive them of any other weapons and let's keep moving, that door over there I'm thinking that's our entry point" She didn't think it was that crazy and it worked no one got hurt.

War...

While the explosions and blaster fire and the hums of lightsabers coming to life while soon striking down loyalist soldiers and deflecting fire for their comrades. The sound filled his ears and it seemed so familiar and so at home. As they pushed forward and the Jedi Master's blade twirled and deflected blaster fire to protect his comrades as well as protect the others. "Once we hit the throne room we should be able to force this battle to a close." The Jedi said as he glanced to his allies for a moment before they pressed onward.

The Jedi wasn't sure how strong of a will power their enemies had, or if they would continue to fight on even with their commanders and leaders capture. Only time would tell, as the battle would become more close quarters the closer they got to the Citadel.

Objective 2 - Free the slaves
Location: Running towards the door
[member="dorrian korr"]

Secured their first two prisoners and began the dash for the door. From up above it began to spit and sputter blaster shots. Rekha imagined that their training must be poor as they seemed to not be able to hit the broad side of a barn.

Suddenly and quite unexpectedly there was an explosion off to their immediate right. Now it rained dirt and debris. Everyone was blown back landing in position that for some where uncomfortable for others impossible.

Rekha rolled over to her stomach her ears ringing as she looked around for the team. Out of the three men team she led it appeared that only Hudson was the only other who had survived. Feth.

She couldn't hear at the moment she reached up to rub her head to find a thick liquid covering the side looking at her hand she realized it was her own blood. Wonderful she thought.

Still she pushed to get to her feet. Reinforcements would be coming she was counting on it at least. She looked towards the door it wasn't open yet meaning who they were meeting hadn't made it there yet. She didn't know if this was good or bad but she knew her duty and what she promised.

Falling forward she laughed, ok she thought one more breath then get up. She talked inside her head she looked to Hudson he was shaking his head. She reminded herself they were freeing slaves she needed to get up.

GET UP!!!

She screamed at herself just as the blaster bolts started again, Rekha pulled her weapon pushed herself to her knees then shot wild just to get them to back up. She pushed up to her feet, "Come on Hudson"

She would finish the job...she would.

She could feel the headache coming on.

Pain reliever and a drink would be her reward when this was over.

A man comes out o the shadows holding 2 hand guns one an R-22 Hand Cannon the other a wildspace outback slugthrower His jacket dusty from some fighting in the woods he slipped a power pack into his hand cannon and a set of slugs in his revolver and spun the holder and closed it. He looked at the lady through the hud of his helmet and spoke "Need an extra hand I got a few spair power packs as well and some thermal dets if you need 'em"

Objective - Free the slaves
with [member="Dorrian Korr"]

Rekha was back up against the wall of the palace staring out at the the falling dirt and dust. From it emerged....a man wearing red. She could appreciate red she liked red. She could even appreciate his corset.

Was that a corset? She leaned slightly forward, must be the injury. Or he had very good taste in what to wear in battle. She nodded biting her tongue just in case she was hallucinating. "can always use some help. As for the thermal dets um...let's wait on that. Our intel is that one of our folks is inside and coming out this door [member="Yula Perl"] we sure don't want to blow them up." She smiled.

"But" She put a single finger up, "We can go through the door...I was going to knock it's just good manner...ya know. How about you stand on that side of the door, Hudson you stay here. And I will knock"

She shook her head looking at the ground and then biting her lip yeah she was going to get in trouble she knew it but it was just sitting on the tip of her tongue, "So does that provide you a lot of support, maybe some lift?" She pointed to what she believed was a black corset.

Then just as quickly balled up her fist and banged on the door, "LET ME IN THERE'S....." wait who were they...."REBELS EVERYWHERE" She nudged Hudson, making a pulling trigger motion with her finger.

He gave her the what???? face. She grabbed her blaster and shot at the door, "HURRY OH MY GOD.....HELP ME!!!" she banged on the door harder....

She would wait a few moments and then have the guys knock the door down.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

He then listened to her instructions to get on the other side of the door and had his guns down at his hips. The armor around his torso was not a corset but armorplast plates with a mesh made up of a mixture of Phrik threads and armorweave layered on top of it (The suit).

But then he heard the question about the ' lift and support '. "No its a set of layered armor that will take a bit long to explain but Locke and Key made it for me that's all i'm gonna say for now."

He listened to her false statement about the rebels and saw hudson move his finger over his pistols trigger

"Too bad it would be kickass as a corset." It took all the fun out of it. He definitely wasn't one for banter which she kinda thrived on. But hey Rekha didn't really care about the armor or what it was made of it was just there. She also knew that this guy had no idea who she was. So...she just smiled as she waited to hear if anyone was coming to the door.

Nothing.

Silence.

Too easy.

She looked to Hudson and then to [member="Dorrian Korr"] "It's either a trap or they are busy somewhere else. So..let's take the door down, but be mindful there could be friendlies in the area."

She stepped back so that Hudson or Dorrian could remove the door.

She had tried doing it once taking on a door gave it her best effort too. She got lots of distance plenty of speed and the slammed her shoulder into it....only to dislocate her shoulder. One of those days where her desire and effort were A+ but ability was a big fat zero.
