OLD Factory Q&A

Is there a rule that says a player can only have 3 subs in the Factory at one time if they're pending approval mostly, and you need to app some gear for another char?
You are only allowed to have 3 submissions submitted to the each section of the factory at a time per writer (this covers all of your characters, so if you have 3 for one you cannot submit another with a different character).

2. There is a cap of three active or pending submissions permitted per section of the Factory per Writer.
You can see the rest of the factory rules here.

I have a question regarding anti-ship(aircraft) batteries. I know one that moves (tracks, wheels, etc) would be considered a vehicle....what about a stationary one; is that considered a vehicle or a potential weapon or something else entirely?

For example: Mounted on top of a wall/building or erected on the battlefield to be used.

Why is it at tier II I'm being told my company can't make 800 meter ships for a fleet? The company has money, they have had a contract with the Jen'ari Empire for the last 600 years. I'm not mass producing flagships or capital ships, and the ships I'll be making are all canon won't need approval cuz they won't be OP

Contracts are only accepted in the form of development threads, that isn't an issue, however, with your submission.

A tier II company is perfectly capable of making ships at 800 meters, but a tier II company is not capable of handling multiple operations and shipbuilding. If you have concerns about the judgement made to your submission, please discuss it with your judge in the submission. I believe you are misunderstanding what is being stated.

If one were to complete a substantial development thread for it, would a living Shard be able to be used in a lightsaber?
Alright, I asked this a while ago, and it was answered by the lovely [member="Braith Achlys"], but before I actually get to work on it, I have a boat load more questions I want to ask. Would any of you FJs be willing to have a quick PM about it?

So I want to make a force imbued weapon but I'm not an alchemist or even a force user. Could I have a duel with a force user while wielding said weapon, blocking, getting blocked, ect. Then talk about how well the weapon came out with that force user, and use all this as a dev thread for the weapon?

Edit: Alchemized weapon. Don't need force imbued since I don't use the force.

I would be more than happy to provide my character, [member="Braith Achlys"], as a manufacturer of the sword.

That being said, you could do a development thread with an NPC (would help if it were a submitted one, I suppose) as the alchemist and create it that way.

I see my error now.
Planning a new character. His wife (other player) is a Jedi. Planning to use the wife as the "creator" of the weapon but I feel I'm the better writer and want to do the submission myself. I have the plan for the weapon and all. How do I go about that? Do I need a dev thread or can I just list the wife as the manufacturer?

The requirements to obtain Ionite is: "Write a thread from the perspective of NPCs about the fall out of one of your previous actions". Does this previous action have to have been written within a thread? Or could it have been done 'off screen'? Or just mentioned in your characters past?

Can be anything like a chain of events your character has started. A battle that's happened and the npc witnessed it. Its been left vague to give the writer freedom to choose how they go about the development.

[member="Xavka Duquo"] - The 'kerrigan coat' by AEL is imbued with an aura that makes the wearer induce fear and unease, so I'd think it would be within the realm of possibility to do your idea. No idea what level of Alchemical Proficiency or Dev Threading you'd need for it though, and whether or not it would fall under restricted mats/system requirements for a personal stealth system either.

Thank you. I suppose I'll give it a try and see what the Judges say once it's submitted.

Since Xavka is an Assassin I was thinking of having him wear a cloak that has an 'aura' imbued in it through Alchemy that makes observers more inclined to ignore him, to pretend he's not there and not look in his direction in the first place.

There is a form of projective telepathy which causes lesser minds to believe the user isn't there, like an illusion, and that can theoretically be placed into clothing - but I'm not sure if that would work in the way you want.
