On the Run (Siobhan)

Laina smiled, and glanced to Mei-Ling. "I suppose so. Just never saw myself doing such a thing. But also, those kind of things didn't exist on my planet." Clearly she just needed to be introduced into the more modern world that she'd missed out on.

"Lip-stick?" Laina asked, lifting a brow. "What's lipstick?" Oh, how naive and innocent Laina could be, while entirely not at the same time. But clearly, she'd missed out on more than just a few of the more feminine things in life.

Laina just smiled as the Atrisian groped Siobhan's ass. So cute in her eyes, the two of them. Laina for her part was still munching at breakfast, eating mostly fruits out of the food that had been brought to them. "She really seems it. No one else rescued me, or even batted an eye at what was happening to me." She said quietly, as her eyes fell to the floor.

"I like her too, she's really sweet and kind to me and my little one already." With a sigh, she did shift, to move her feet over to Mei-Ling. Feet that were heavily scarred and callused from much wear over the years without shoes. "Hmmm ..... I think the light blue would be nice. And thank you, each one has a special meaning, very important life events and so on. All documented on my skin." She said with a smile, clearly liking that part of her life.

"You have me now, sweetie. And the boss," Mei-Ling said sweetly then quickly set to work. "Hmm. Don't know whether she's already mentioned it, but the boss has a big fetish about women's feet," she added. Apparently everyone who put on Sio's staff of attendants talked about sex a lot.

Presumably there were minions who weren't sex-obsessed maniacs, but they get less screen time! Mei-Ling was not Harmony and her touch was a good deal rougher and less gentle, but she still took her time when it came to restore Laina's toenails to a state of perfection. The Atrisian's own hands were scarred and callused, feeling slightly scratchy. Still she would apply herself. Nails would be cut and filed, their tops would be smoothed, skin would be cleaned up and softened. Then the Atrisian dried the amazon's feet and began to apply light blue nail polish.

"Light blue it is. You a Forcer like the boss? Used to hate 'em honestly. Grew up with it back on Atrisia. Joined the stormtroopers to fight them after a couple forcers blew up a church. Well, that and the Corps gave you a decent paycheque! Fought a Dark Jedi once, got electrocuted real bad before I blew his brains out. Things...changed after Atrisia went fething batcrazy."

Laina nodded as she leaned back against the pillows. Both hands were cradling her swollen belly as she glanced lovingly to little Morrigan within. "That is true. Hadn't really thought about it that way just yet." A smile formed upon her lips, "No, no ... She hadn't mentioned it. Can't say I'll mind the attention. Well, honestly such affections would be most welcome at this point, kind of been a while. Once I started running, such fun and ritual became the last thing I was concerned with. So many other things became more important."

"Ooo!" She squealed, jumping a little as the woman started her toes. The cool feel of the nailpolish against her toes, had startled her. That was not what she had expected. "I didn't expect it to be cold." Curiously her eyes followed every little movement of Mei-ling as she worked on her toenails. It was something she'd never seen before. "So strange...." She commented, still keenly watching. The woman seemed absolutely fascinated by the practice.

"Yes, I am." She said with a sigh, "Wish I wasn't to be honest. It made my life hell. Took me down a path I'd rather have not been forced upon. Forced to be a warrior for the tribe whether I liked it or not. There was never any choice in it." Though she chose not to elaborate from there. Somethings she just simply had no care to revisit, or relive through retelling the tale. "Sounds exciting and a little frightening what you did. Storm-trooper, you called it? Is that some military thing? Or what is it exactly?"

"Yeah, elite Imperial soldiers. Shock troops. Used to be clones way back in the day. Contrary to what certain holovids say, they can actually aim. It's the regular army that kept missing," Mei-Ling declared. Apparently even after all these centuries there was a bit of an interservice rivalry going on!

For the record, this one thinks it would have been better if the Ewoks had been replaced by Wookiees on Endor. Way more logical to have them overwhelmn technologically superior soldiers by using guerrilla tactics. "Discipline was tight, pay wasn't that bad, plenty of action. Gig was good unless you ran afoul of the secret police for not being ideologically pure enough. Well, that happened to me. Signed up to protect Atrisia, not shoot innocent people," she shrugged with faked nonchalance, then changed the topic while she kept working over Laina's toenails, though she was taking things slower and more gentler now. "So you and the kiddo gonna stay with Firemane now?"

"Oh, I see." Though it didn't sound like she had any confidence in that statement. In truth, Laina had lived so closed off from the rest of the galaxy for so long that she had missed out on so much. Things like the Imperials slipped her by and she had little grasp on their ideals or concepts behind them.

Listening, her eyes were still following each stroke of the brush as Mei-Ling applied the polish to her toes. All of it seemed so strange to her, People do this for beauty? How odd... "It sounds interesting. Until that whole secret police thing .... That doesn't sound okay at all." But I guess the tribe isn't all that different in some respects. Can't do anything without The Matron knowing.... "I suppose so. This has been the first time anyone has tried to help me since I left my homeworld. I feel safe for the first time in forever and I have to think about the lil one. Life has to be stable and safe. I can't provide it to her, on my own. With Siobhan .. there is safety and stability. So I believe I will. Not many places in the galaxy would offer what she has to me, I'm not about to turn it down nor walk away from that."

Mei-Ling nodded. "Aye, the boss is good people. Got an ego the size of the death star, but nobody's perfect." Naturally the door to the bathroom had to open in this exact moment and Siobhan limped out. Have no fear, kiddies, all the parts of her body that needed covering were covered by a towel, though one would get a nice view of her legs.

Having clearly heard the Atrisian's comment she raised an eyebrow. Apparently it was time for a witty comment! "I heard that! I don't have a massive ego at all," she declared with mock outrage, placing her hands on her hips. She was not at all egotistical...and clearly perfect? This was not a contradiction at all.

"It was meant in the most loving manner, boss. You know we love you. Nice legs," Mei-Ling responded snarkily then turned back to Laina, inspecting the work she had done on her toenails. "There we go, you look like a real lady. Want your fingernails done as well?"

Laina smiled a little brighter, seeming so happy in this new environment. Gradually she was getting more and more comfortable around Mei-Ling. "Definitely, really thankful for her. So glad I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to meet her. Stars knows what would have happened if you had not been there to help me, Siobhan." She said as Sio now entered the room just in time to scold her pet. Her eyes briefly wandered, giving the brunette a once over, admiring those lovely legs.

For a moment the dark haired woman glanced to her fingernails. The only part on her upper body that still held a natural skin tone, since all the rest had been covered in the ritualistic tribal tattoos. And what wasn't covered in the black tattoos was covered in the white tattoo base. Her mind wandered for a moment back to what it was like to have so much flesh done that way, but soon brought her mind back to the present. "Sure, why not?" Said with a bright smile as she offered a callused hand to the Atrisian woman.

"Feeling relaxed and clean, Siobhan dear?" Laina asked, as she patted the bed with her free hand, asking Sio in a way to come join her on the bed again. After all, she really did like Kerrigan. In that moment wanted to snuggle against the still quite damp woman and enjoy her company for a little while longer.

"Very much so, darlin," Siobhan said happily. Needless to say she did not need much encouragement and quickly joined Laina on the bed. Well, as quickly as her bad leg allowed her to, but you get the picture. While Mei-Ling began working over Laina's fingernails she snuggled up against the darkhaired amazon.

"Probably used up all the hot water," Mei-Ling muttered to herself before Siobhan shot her a cross look. It was so difficult to get good staff these days, so alas the Countess had to put up with a measure of snark and lack of 24/7 fawning. Needless to say this behaviour would be thoroughly discussed at the next disciplinary session of the Order and corrected appropriately. "And moving on, blue looks nice on you, Laina."

"It totally does," Siobhan chimed in as she cuddled with the amazon. In all likelihood spending time with her would mean that Laina would soon be exposed to all sorts of beauty products that the modern fashionista considered essential. Then again, learning about new cultures was always a good thing!

Shifting over carefully without taking her hand away from Mei-Ling, Laina laid her head upon Siobhan's shoulder as she continued to watch the lovely work being done on her nails. A light arm she draped across her swollen belly, seeming to be so content in that moment. "Thank you," She said quietly, just happy to be in the company of others who seemed to care so much about her happiness and wellbeing.

"Never done anything like this in my life. The closest thing to putting colors on my body was the start of the ritual and ceremonial tattoos. It's so odd to do something to my body that is just temporary, just for fun. Always thought the women I see to these things outside of my homeworld, were a bit frivolous. Now I see though, it's a little fun, and different. So, I think the idea I had about those women into these beauty treatments, was wrong after all."

She sighed softly, "The Priestess will be here soon, won't she?" It was hard to miss the slight tremble in her voice. Her nerves were already setting in.

Siobhan found Laina's reaction to the wonders of modern beaty treatments rather endearing. For her part, she found the woman's tribe rather fascinating. It was a shame that many aspects of their culture were so cruel, for there was much about them that was admirable in her view.

Hearing the slight tremble in Laina's voice she took her hand into hers and stroked it soothingly. "She'll be here in a bit. Don't worry, dear. I'll be here with you and she won't hurt you. No needles, no sedatives, no modern medicine," she said gently, planting a kiss on Laina's cheek.

Mei-Ling finished up on doing the amazon's nails and got up, stealing a kiss on Laina's cheek and then on Sio's. "I'll go let her in when she comes. Should be soon. Wait a bit for your nails to dry," she said, then glanced over to Siobhan. "Are you gonna put some clothes on before she comes, boss?" she asked with a sardonic tone in her voice.

Siobhan just made a dismissive gesture. "Why? It's nothing Eileithya hasn't seen before and I doubt the kiddo minds." But then she reluctantly got up from the bed, whilst muttering something in Eldarai and went to rummage through her closest, while Mei-Ling left the room.

Modern beauty treatments, Laina certainly was going to have to get used to. One day she'd need to learn how to use makeup to bring out her beautiful eyes. One imagines she'd probably stab herself by accident in the eye with the mascara wand at least once!

The woman nodded slowly, her eyes dropping to the bed as she thought about it. Healing shouldn't make me this nervous. But it does..... How does one ever get over such a fear.... Gods I can't let Morrigan be this unnerved or afraid of simple medicine. After all, she's going to need it too as she grows up into a fine young woman.

"Right. I'm trying not to worry too much, just makes me a bit anxious. Which in turn makes Morrigan more anxious, and her being anxious, just makes my own anxiety further rise. It's just all one vicious cycle and it's so frustrating. I can't stand to be so fearful of something that is so needed." Laina said with a sigh as Siobhan kissed her upon the cheek. She tried to smile in return but failed miserably.

"For the stars sake, until I saw the Priestess yesterday, I've seen no doctor for my pregnancy. One there was never time, and secondly I was never on one planet for long enough to actually safely make it to an appointment with a doctor. Not to mention hospitals terrify me, and so do modern doctors. There are very few tribal healers out there. Most worlds don't have one at all, just modern doctors with all that pain and sooooo many needles. I just shouldn't be so afraid. That's not an example I want Morrigan to be following as she grows. I've got to be brave for her sake." Laina said with a heavy sigh as she winced slightly, grabbing her aching belly with both hands. It seemed the pain from the changes made to her body were still going to haunt her. She was not out of the woods just yet with her little one.

As Mei-Ling finished her nails, Laina brought her hand closer to herself inspecting the work, now that her nails were a lovely shade of light blue. It looked quite nice against her pale tattooed flesh. "They look so lovely, thanks Mei-Ling." That same tremble still present in her voice, but this time a little softer and less noticeable. Nonetheless it remained.

Her gaze followed as Siobhan rose to her feet and started to look for some clothing. It was certain that this was a view and show that Laina did not at all mind watching. "No, little Morrigan doesn't mind. She's got no sense of the need to cover one's body. Plus when she arrives, all she is going to see out of a naked woman, is her breasts and know that food comes from such lovely body parts. The child certainly won't be thinking anything of the sort about sex." She said now finally a small nervous smile spread across her lips as she sat back onto the bed. For a moment she glanced down to her belly, and body realizing that she had no clean clothing of her own. "We really do have to go clothes shopping for me, after Eileithya leaves here. All I had on me was that singular set of clothing." She shook her head slowly, "Don't even have a pair of panties that are clean. I was quite literally wearing everything I owned."

"We'll go shopping right after Eileithya is gone. You can wear some of my clothes, if you like. I think they should fit well enough," Siobhan said while she rummaged through her closet before settling on a pair of leather pants and a white blouse, both of which she slipped on.

"Take what you like," she said gently after returning to the bed, giving Laina a gentle squeeze on the shoulder. "And try not to focus on what can go wrong seeing a doctor. Not that Eileithya is one, but you get the picture. Think of what we can do once the check-up is over. We'll go shopping, buy Morri a nice crib and toys...and maybe have some fun when we get home," she said with a wink.

"Okay." She said softly before a slight look of confusion crossed her face. "Are you sure?" Laina had to ask, for she never recalled anyone ever offering to loan her their clothes. And she wasn't certain she could take up the offer now. It was just something that was not shared in the tribe. "Sharing clothing wasn't something we did back home. Clothing belonged to a single person, never to be shared. Just one of those things, I guess that my people do differently than most. Really, you don't mind Siobhan? I appreciate the offer, I do. I just don't want to cause offense." For it would have back on her primitive home planet, so she had to be certain.

She gave a soft nod as Siobhan squeezed her shoulder, "As long as you are sure." Laina said quietly and rose to her feet. Still the woman seemed a little nervous as she headed to Siobhan's closet and started to look through it. At least at this point, she still was relatively small, and only showing a little bit, but still enough to make it obvious she was with child. Another month, and undoubtedly her belly would grow quite a bit more as her child grew. "I'm trying, truly. I just worry about lil' Morrigan, and the things that can go wrong with her. Nothing is assured in pregnancy, I know that. So, I worry. I just want to bring her into this world, happy and healthy. Nothing else really matters. And you're right, Eileithya is not a doctor. She's the closest thing I've got to a tribal healer, which makes this a little easier. I'm still getting used to the idea of her, and everything."

Then the smile returned to her lips, "Shopping sounds nice, and heaven knows my little girl is going to need a crib, and a few toys to play with. I appreciate what you are doing for me, truly." Her smile brightened quite a bit more at Siobhan's last words, "Oh now, I really look forward to that. After all, it's been a while."

Siobhan sometimes wore some of Miri's clothes. Well, say a shirt or something like that. Usually not much more though! Then again, when Mirien was around she tended to lose her clothes pretty fast. Anyhow, lame jokes aside Siobhan gave Laina a nod. "I'm sure, darling. You're not causing any offence. Please don't think that. I don't take make offers unless I'm serious about them," she said softly. This was true. If anything, Siobhan tended to be straightforward about what she wanted and hated vagueness. She leaned back on the bed, watching Laina while she looked through her closet.

"Take what you want. It's no bother. And no need to rush, I like the view from where I'm sitting," she said, chuckling slightly. Laina was a bit taller than Siobhan but she was still quite small, so the Countess' clothes should fit her well enough. It was obvious that the darkhaired amazon was with child, but to Siobhan this only enhanced her beauty.

Time would pass, then the doorbell rang and a few moments later one could hear soft footsteps outside the room. The door opened and Eileithya stepped in, giving Laina a kindly smile. Like on the day before she was dressed in simple robes, disdaining any jewellry or ostentatious displays. Then again, she had a firemane so she probably did not need that. "Good morning, Laina, I hope you slept well, dear. How are you and your little one?" she asked softly.

There was a soothing, melodious quality to her voice. She carried a small bag, which presumably contained potions and other traditional remedies. While Eldorai society had opened itself to the wonders of modern medicine, there were many who still preferred the traditional healing that the Ashiran Church offered or tried to combine the two.

She managed a small smile in return. "Thank you, I truly appreciate it. Wasn't looking forward to wearing the same clothes that I had been yesterday. It's not something I like doing, but sometimes you don't have another option." Finally she pulled out a dark purple blouse, and a pair of slacks from the Countess' closet.
"Well that view is about to get a whole lot better." She quipped. And then without any hesitation at all, she dropped the robe she had been wearing and slipped the shirt on first, and then the pants. Both fit well enough for her liking. And truthfully she had little care for undergarments anyway. She sighed contentedly as she came back to the bed, and sat down beside Siobhan.

Hearing the doorbell, Laina figured it was the Priestess and took a deep breath in to try and keep herself a little calmer. After all there was nothing to fear here. At least that was what she told herself.

"Morning." She replied softly, as Eileithya entered the room. "I did sleep well, for the first time in a long while. Morrigan is happy, more content than she's ever been. Squirms less, less fitful and generally not kicking the crap out of my lungs constantly. Seems with safety, and less stress on my side of things, she seems to be relaxing more, feeling safer too I guess. Not only that but I can feel that within the force and my connection with her. Still hurts a bit mind you, but I think that's just part of the changes made to me." Laina said with a shrug, knowing too well her body was different because of the things the tribe had done to ensure only females were ever born from their women.

"That's good to hear, dear. Lay down please," Eileithya responded before approaching the bed. "Goddess knows, you both deserve some peace. Those clothes look nice on you by the way...even if I doubt you'll be wearing anything long with that one around," at that she gave Siobhan a wink, but naturally the Countess looked totally innocent.

"I brought you a few lotions and potions to help deal with any pain, cramps you may feel. They won't make them completely vanish, alas, but they should mitigate them. Better than those drugs you get pumped full with in modern hospitals. True daemon's work, that is," she added, putting the bag down. Then she ran her hand across Laina's belly, drawing upon her Sciia and muttering a few words in Eldarai while she checked on the baby.

"Be not afraid, little one. I am here to help. You have a very brave mother," she would communicate to Morrigan through telepathy. For a moment Eileithya's eyes seemed to glow as she drew upon her power, then they turned normal once more. "Your little one is in good health and calmer," she said. Then she once again ran a hand across Laina's, moving upward towards her chest. There was nothing sexual about it, though her touch would be soothing. Rather the Priestess was checking on the amazon's heart and lungs in order to make sure the amazon was alright.

Laina managed a tiny nervous smile as she laid back. "Thank you. Siobhan was kind enough to loan them to me." She said with a glance to Sio, as she actually reached out to take the brunette's hand for comfort. "And truly, I don't mind if the clothes don't stay on that long, just makes life all the more fun." Honestly, such things Laina hardly cared about. Pleasure among women, was perfectly natural and a part of her daily life back home. Something that everyone was extremely open about.

The dark haired woman nodded slowly, "Thank you, anything that helps ease some of that I'd gladly accept. The alterations made to my body, certainly don't make this easy. It makes sense to me now, why the tribe always pampered those who were chosen to carry children to an extreme. Never really made sense to me now. Not like anyone tells you how much it hurts." In truth she did miss her tribal sisters, despite what they were trying to do to her, trying to bring her back, to take her baby. They were still her family. She did shudder at the mention of modern hospitals. "I agree, you won't ever catch me in one of those evil places. Never." She said firmly. That was the last place Laina ever wanted to end up.

Laina squeezed Sio's hand tighter as Eileithya ran her hand across her belly. Though something about the Priestess soon enough made her relax her grip just a little bit. Laina was starting to feel safer, more comfortable around the firemane. Hearing the words from her, about her little one brought a bright smile to her lips. "I'm relieved to hear that, and so incredibly happy to know she is doing well. I needed to hear that with all the stress I've been under, and she has been under. The connect between she and I through the Force, certainly complicates things, because she feels so much more of my stress than she ever should." She said with a sigh.

With the Eldorai's hand moving up her chest Laina just watched, the soothing powers of the priestess keeping her much calmer than she'd ever be. Eileithya would find the Amazon to be in good health, her heart strong and her lungs perfectly fine. Despite going through all she had, she seemed in much better health than most would have been, especially with carrying a child too. Though the healer might sense deeper in Laina's body just exactly what kind of stresses that lay on Laina's shoulders. Granted, some had been lifted with the safety Siobhan had provided her, a few still remained.

Eileithya smiled kindly and gave Laina a chaste kiss on the cheek. "You're in good health, dear. Better than most would be, but I suppose you're a tough woman. Your heart is strong and your lungs are fine...but there is a colossal weight on your shoulder. Your anxieties are real, but you must try to destress a bit. Your child is bonded to you, it feels your stress and that only makes it more fearful and causes you pain."

Some of the 'modernist' doctors might have offered tablets and stuff, but Eileithya strongly disapproved of that sort of thing.

Laina managed a soft smile, glad to know she was okay and in good health. A sigh followed, knowing exactly how stressed she had been, and for so long as well. It wasn't doing Laina or Morrigan any favors. None at all. "I know ... I need to. There's just so much to worry about with everything going on. It's hard to take my mind away from it. I'm sure I can find something to help. I mean, I feel safer now. I just still fear my sisters coming for me and the baby. And life feels a little more secure. I need to accept those things, that life is more stable here, and I'm safe as I possibly can be. Just have to figure out how to relax a little. I don't want my girl afraid, and I really personally don't want to hurt and ache more than I already have to."

"Ashira's light shine upon you, child. Your fears are real, but as trite as it sounds, try not to focus upon what terrible things could happen to you. Take every day as it is, be vigilant, but try to experience all the good things you can experience now that you're safe. After all, you have Siobhan now. I am sure she is getting all sappy about you and the little one," she joked.

For her part Siobhan grunted. "Am not," she insisted. In all likelihood she was not fooling anyone with that declaration. No, Siobhan, we all know that you love getting mushy about things and read the corniest romance novels imaginable. Where there is plenty of talk about ample bosoms, golden tresses and oceans of passion. So, yeah, get used to it.

"Siobhan, I'm the empath, there's no arguing with me," Eileithya retorted before turning her attention back to the pregnant amazon. "Try to have some fun today, dear. Non-stressful fun," she added. Alas, this probably limited crochet a bit. "There are plenty of fun places to visit on the Skyport and I'm sure you two can...enjoy yourselves. But nothing that will strain your body too much," she added in a serious tone.
