On the Run (Siobhan)

Laina took in a deep breath, and let it out slowly. "I'll do my very best, Eileithya. I have to, for little Morrigan. She needs me to do this, and I have to do this for her to make sure that the both of us are happier and healthier. And it certainly would be nice to be in less pain." She smiled, and glanced to Siobhan, "I do have Siobhan, and so much safety, security and stability with her. As well as some sappiness, with my little girl. Not that I might dear, Siobhan. I love the attention and I can tell, so does little Morrigan." Laina grinned, being absolutely honest.

As the priestess spoke again, Laina focused back on the firemane. She gave a small nod in reply, "I'll try, I really will. And I'm sure Siobhan will help to make sure it's a good day for us both." Thinking about the Skyport, she realized she'd really only seen very little of it and really all of that was a blurr. So now she could totally explore. "So, playing around in bed, would have to be ... gentle, yes? Or at least not straining on me, if I'm to participate in such things?" Of course the Amazon had to ask, because honestly she was really eager for such a relaxing activity. It was something that no doubt could calm not only her, but her little one as well. And that was something they both needed very much.

Eileithya kindly stroked the amazon's hair. "Fairly gentle. No whips, no chains, no electrodes. I am sure you shall manage and make things pleasurable beyond that. At the very least I would advise you not to indulge in the Ardarvian Mysteries. I am sure Siobhan over there will be understanding and able to control herself."

For her part Siobhan made a face. "Hey, I'm standing right here! You make it sound like I'd jump her any moment like a dog in heat."

Eileithya rolled her eyes. "Siobhan, dear, do you really want me to answer that question? Anyhow, it does not have to be all candlelights and holding hands, but keep that in mind. It may be more comfortable for you if you are on top, Laina. Siobhan will not mind. She loves to pamper beautiful ladies."

Laina smiled, "I suppose I can work with that. Don't think it would be good for the little one anyway, I think such might frighten her." The amazon said softly as she thought about it. "But feathers, silks, and temperature play would still be on the table. And a few other things I'm sure." The things she was thinking about, she couldn't say here for the sake of the kiddies.

She glanced to Siobhan, beaming, "Oh honey, don't protest, I don't mind in the least if that is really what you are like. Have to remember that my culture revolves around sensual rituals, and ceremonies involving love making were the day to day norm." Laina certainly seemed to be utterly shameless when it came to crochet.

"Thank you Eileithya, I do appreciate it." She said with a smile. Laina for her part seemed a lot happier than what she had been. "Makes me feel a little better to know I can participate in such activities. I think something like that, might just be exactly what I need to keep my mind off of things. Just never knew what the limits were with the little one. That and I didn't think anyone really found someone in my condition beautiful, but Siobhan proved that thought wrong." She said with a wink tossed Sio's direction. "Thank you for coming to see me Eileithya. You do make me feel better about this situation, especially when before yesterday I'd not seen a doctor for the entire duration of my pregnancy so far. Just ... yeah, never was time and I was too afraid of modern medicine. I can't ever be comfortable around that."

Siobhan coloured slightly. There, Laina made her blush. The amazon shoud feel very pleased with herself. "Oh, ok, that's good. Because I think you're really hot and I'm very attracted to you," she blurted out. Aww, wasn't she being cute and adorable? No, little Siobhan was not fangirling at all.

Eileithya, always pleased when she managed to help get Siobhan flustered, just smiled enigmatically and gave Laina's shoulder a squeeze. "I believe it won't be long before Siobhan wishes to undergo your tribal initiation rites. To answer your question, I'm sure feathers, silks and temperature play would be possible. Same applies to light bondage. Just nothing as harsh as the rites performed in a Temple of Ardarvia." There was always a bit of a rivalry going on between both temples!

"There's nothing to thank, dear. Keep the faith, be there for your child, live. I'll pray that Ashira will watch over you," Eileithya added. "Would you like to have anything to read while you're here? I have some books I could give you."

Siobhan felt like rolling her eyes. "Be honest, Eil, you just want to convert her to Ashiranism. Do you have the holy scriptures in your bag perchance?"

Eileithya seemed entirely unfazed by this. Apparently this sort of banter was normal for them. "Can you blame me, dear? I am a Priestess of the Great Goddess after all and happen to have good taste. Besides, our ways seem very compatible. We both venerate the power and the wisdom of the divine female."

Laina just grinned seeing Siobhan blush. If only she had some clue as to how rare that really was. "Oh, I pretty well figured that out by now. The feeling is mutual." She said softly, without the slightest hesitation.

"Mmmhmm, I'm sure she will. Perhaps someday I'll let her in on the pleasure and pain of those rituals." Said with a wink in Siobhan's direction. "Well that I can manage. I do love bondage."

She nodded, "I appreciate it, Eileithya, truly." Then to the question of the books, "I'd love something to read. It's been a long while since I've been able to sit down and actually enjoy a book. I imagine I'll have the time now."

Her gaze shifted to Siobhan and then back to the Priestess. "She has a point, our ways do seem compatible. We do share many thoughts on the power of the divine feminine, and the evils of modern medicine, and droids ... So who knows I may not mind such." She said with a smile. Granted such talk a year ago would have been treasonous for her, risking exile at the least.

Eileithya reached into her bag and removed a tome, placing it on the bed. The book was well-worn and had clearly seen use, but the Eldorai sigils emblazoned upon the cover were still intricate and vivid. "The Book of Light. May it be a candle in the night for you when it is darkest. Ashira is mother to mothers, for she is the wellspring of creation," the Priestess said solemnly.

"Our Church used to consider consorting with humans...treasonous, blasphemous even. Those who professed that the Goddess' boundless mercy might extend to more than just Eldorai suffered a grim fate. But times are changing. The Goddess is love, above petty politics." She left out the fact that she had been imprisoned and tortured in the Angelii's ghost prison for several years before Silaqui became queen. Having said her piece she got to feet. "Well, I shall take my leave. You two have fun...try not to get into too much trouble or spend all your day in your bed. If you need help, Laina, or wish to talk, Siobhan has my number."

Laina's eyes were drawn instantly to the well-worn book. Though it was clear to her it had been loved and well taken care of by its owner. She took it in her hands and ran a gentle finger across its cover before laying it down beside her. "Thank you, Eileithya." She said quietly.

Her smile turned to a slight frown hearing what the Church used to think upon sharing its words and light with other races. It was something she understood all too well. "Well, I am quite glad that times have changed." Laina's smile then returned, "Thank you again, my dear. And we'll try to have some good fun. Of course, I promise if I need anything I'll call. I'll grab the number from Siobhan." She said softly.

"I'll see you tomorrow, dear," Eileithya said sweetly and then departed from the room. The two came from very different backgrounds, but it seemed there was an understanding. Maybe because their backgrounds were not that different. Both found that there was much that was admirable about their traditionalist, matriarchal cultures, but were not blind to its darker, repressive sides, under which both had suffered.

"Eileithya's good people, you're in good hands with her. One of the Ashiran clerics who doesn't look down on foreigners or have a stick up her arse," Siobhan said, snuggling against Laina. "So...you want to explore the Skyport a bit? Go shopping for a crib and clothes for you." Obviously Siobhan had also some non-PG-13 ideas, but she would not push them.

"Alright, Eileithya, sounds like a plan." Laina said quietly as she watched her depart.

Shifting back over in bed, the Amazon leaned against Siobhan, laying her head against the brunette's. "She does seem quite kind, caring and devoted. I truly cannot complain about her in the least. She makes me comfortable, with the little one. And well, the religion thing is interesting. At the very least, Eileithya has made me a bit curious about it."

Reaching up she gently ran a hand through Siobhan's hair, "I would like that, yes. We probably should be careful. While I don't expect my sisters to have regrouped, there still could be one or two out there." That was a small concern of hers. That more of the White Wolves were out there, waiting to try and take her. Slowly, carefully she rose from the bed, rubbing at her aching belly. Morrigan was calming but there were still plenty of cramps that bothered her from the changes that were made to her body as a young girl. "We just can't let our guard down is all. It's just a worry in the back of my mind today. I wish I could forget it, and just have some fun - worry free. But it's a little hard all considered."

Siobhan gave Laina a nod. As much as she would have liked to be otherwise, danger could still be present. If not from Laina's Tribe, then from Dark Eldorai, misc. darksiders and so on. "We'll be on our guard and I'll keep you safe. Take your hold-out bolter with you. Can you use a lightsabre? If yes you can take mine. Mei-Ling'll come with us. If trouble comes up, she'll get you to safety." After all, the Atrisian knew how to fight and had kept in shape, something Siobhan appreciated. After all, she liked her girly girls to be able to kick arse.

She nodded slowly, "I appreciate that." Reaching up, she lightly touched the chain at her neck, that little weapon that would help keep her and her little one safe. "Yes, I can." It was one of the few pieces of technology that the White Wolves allowed. Far too useful to not integrate into her culture. "Alright." Taking in a deep breath, she managed a smile. At least now there were people to look out for her in such a vulnerable time. "I suppose I'm as ready as I'll ever be to go out." She was still slightly nervous, but given what things were like the last time she went out, it was expected.

"Ok, dear," Siobhan gave Laina what she hoped was an encouraging smile, then went to fetch her lightsabre. Unlike most of her weapons she kept it in her bedroom and not in the small armoury the suite had. A moment later she put it into the amazon's hand. "There you go. Let's get going, dear." Outside at the door Mei-Ling was already waiting for them. She had replaced her maiden outfit with a pair of stylish but practical cargo pants and a red shirt. Strapped to her thighs were a bolt pistol and a heavy blaster pistol.

This may the moment for this writer to have deep thoughts about how galactic laws on carrying guns in public must be terribly liberal since wherever we go, people do so openly. In any case Siobhan gripped her cane and led the two out, guiding Laina to the turbolift, which took them several levels down before opening. Stretched out before them was the main commercial area of the Skyport, a place of wonders, where seemingly everything could be bought within reason. Ultimately their journey would take them to Ashira's Mall, one of the most popular shopping centres on the station.

Laina waited and when Siobhan returned accepted the saber, and carefully clipped it to her pants. "Thank you." She said softly, and followed along beside Siobhan. She flashed a sweet smile to Mei-Ling as they headed out the door. And in just a short while they ended up at the mall.

If truth be told, it was all a bit overwhelming to the Amazon. "I have no idea where to start." She said as she glanced this way and that, trying to find a place that seemed like good place to find something for her or the baby. Though they soon passed a fragrance shop, and instantly Laina had to pinch her nose closed, something about the smell just made her sick to her stomach. "Note to self, no perfume shops or things like that, my body can't handle the smell, not at all."

Sighing heavily she turned to Siobhan for guidance, "I don't really know where to go, or what I'm looking for. Where would you go?" She asked. Laina had to ask, all of this just too unfamiliar to her. Not only that but she wasn't sure about the price range that she was to stay in, after all it was not her money, it was Sio's. "I know I need clothes for the baby, and toys and a crib. I also need clothing. Morrigan's more important though. She needs things a lot more than I do, or ever will."

"Ok. I'll remember not to wear any strong perfume around you," Siobhan remarked understandingly. Eau de Silaqui was not that strong in her opinion! Seeing that the amazon was a bit confused and overwhelmned she stopped walking and took the woman's hand, giving it a squeeze.

Laina's appearance was rather exotic and so it stood to reason that several people were sneaking glances or staring at her. A well-dressed Eldorai lady muttered some comments to her daughter in Eldarai about how 'look, now we even let the most savage monkeighs come here. In the old days...," she abruptly broke off that line and left in a huff when Siobhan glowered at her. This was probably for the best because if looks could kill, the aristo would have spontaneously combusted.

"It's ok, dear. Nothing to get nervous about. We'll go buy stuff for Morri first, then get clothes for you. Don't think about price, I'm paying," she said in a soft tone.

"Just so you know, if you empty an entire shop I'm not carrying your bags. Or keeping track of your money for you," Mei-Ling threw in sardonically. While Siobhan had many endearing qualities, she was awful at keeping track of her own money during shopping trips. Or paying much attention to price tags.

For her part Siobhan huffed. "Hey, I'm not that bad at it!" she protested ineffectually. Deciding this was not a battle she could win she looked around, then pointed towards a shop further ahead. "There, that's where we can get baby stuff."

"Thank you, dear. I think it's just the scent doesn't agree with pregnancy and me." She said with a sigh. Tightly Laina squeezed Sio's hand in return, feeling a bit anxious as she looked around. She couldn't help but feel that prickle on the back of her neck that said people were watching them. The amazon did suspect a lot of that had to do with the way she looked, which left the woman tugging at her sleeves, trying to cover some of her tattoos up. "People are watching me, aren't they? I must seem so strange." She said quietly, nervously.

Nodding, Laina understood. It made sense after all, "I just worry, you know ... I don't want to press too far with you buying things, that's all."

The ebony-haired woman couldn't help but giggle at Mei-Ling's comment. If only she knew the truth behind it. It was humorous to her, the relationship between the pair of them.

Finally they walked into the shop for all things baby. And it took the woman a moment to gain her bearings. The first place she walked was clothing for the little girl. After all that seemed straightforward enough to her. Looking through all things newborn the Amazon soon enough had selected several sets of clothing for the little one. The different sets, just seemed wise to her. She needed lot of clothes for the baby, and shopping wasn't her thing just yet, so this idea was easier.

"I think these will do. Truthfully I'm not sure. I just know newborn things will fit her but this fashion thing I'm not so good at." Though before she could get far her attention was drawn to a beautiful crib. "Oooh, Siobhan ... it's so lovely." Laina exclaimed. With arms filled with clothing, she raced over to look it over, running a hand over the silky blankets. "It's just beautiful. What do you think?" She asked as she stepped aside to let Sioban have a look. Laina however did see the pricetag for it, and frowned. "So pricey, though." It was so much money, too much in her eyes but she'd already fallen in love with it. Seeing that price, her eyes were already looking to other cribs, trying to get that particular one that she oh so loved, out of her mind.

"You're not strange, dear. Just different. If the stuck-up bitches can't accept that, they can piss off. I doubt any of them would've lasted an hour in your life," Siobhan said very firmly, trying to reassure the amazon as they walked into the shop, where Laina was confronted with all the awesome stuff that was on display for little babies!

Siobhan stood back and allowed the woman to take her time. Undoubtedly it was a bit of an overwhelmning experience for the darkhaired beauty. Her eyes were also drawn to the beautiful crib that seemed like it had been made for Morrigan and was begging to be bought. The way Laina reacted to it was just adorable and brought a smile to Siobhan's face. Truth be told, she did not even pay much attention to the pricetag.

The way Laina looked at it was enough for her. Sure, it was pricey, but she was rich and did not have the heart to deny it to Laina's little one. While Siobhan was self-centred, she had never been stingy with money. "We're taking it. Little Morrigan deserves the best. No buts," she said firmly and without a further word gestured to Mei-Ling to pick it up.

"Compared to this lot, I'm pretty sure I'm an oddity. Not that I mind, just kinda of weird to sense so many eyes on me. It's strange like that." At least she was trying to shrug it off. "And no, they couldn't. Few could. Not every sister survived, you know." Her life had been anything but easy up until this point. Truthfully this was the first time she'd ever really been able to stop and breathe for a little while. Relaxing outside of the matriarch's sight.

Hearing Siobhan's words, she glanced quickly between the price tag and Sio. "Are you ... sure?" It technically wasn't a but! "It's pricey. Especially for me."

"Yes, I am sure. We're taking it," Siobhan said firmly, walking towards the counter with a slight limp.
"Did you look at the price tag?" Mei-Ling felt like asking, though she was still keeping a good watch on the crowd of people. You could never know whether there might be an assassin hiding amongst them.
"I just did," Siobhan insisted. Yes, totally, she had just looked at it and it clearly did not faze her. "I can afford it, so we're buying it. Do you want to look for anything more or should we go pay, Laina?" she asked, looking over the shiny baby clothes the amazon had picked up. Gallantly Mei-Ling took some of them in her hand to carry.

"Okay," She said almost uncertainly.

Laina gave a shrug, "I don't think I really need much more here. Maybe some toys, but I'm not entirely sure what toys are suitable for a little girl. Never had any toys to speak of back home. We can go for now. We can always come back when it's a little closer to her getting here and then we can find toys." She said quietly. So much money was about to be spent, that much she knew and still it seemed so odd to her.

Siobhan felt like pushing the point, but then backed down when she felt it might come across as patronising. After all, she did not want Laina to think she viewed her as a charity case or something like that. This writer has come to the conclusion that Siobhan is being a total sub throughout the thread. Who occasionally tops the bottom.

"Ok, sweetie. I'll take a catalogue of what they have to offer with us and we can come back. And, Laina, please don't feel bad about the money being spent. It's not like I can't afford it and I want Morri to have the best. Besides, I enjoy giving," she said. A loving hand ran across Laina's stomach before she planted a kiss on the woman's lips, clearly not caring whether any fancy Eldorai ladies might be scandalised by her locking lips with a 'primitive'.

Then she limped towards the counter, beckoning Laina to follow. The amazon would, however, suddenly feel Mei-Ling's hand touch her shoulder. The woman was strong, but she kept the grip light. "Hey, don't sweat it. Boss enjoys givin' and loves your kiddo."
